Import contacts from Eudora into iPad 2 Mail

I'm helping a friend get to know her iPad and learn how to use it. All her email contacts are in a Eudora address book on her PC.
How can she import her Eudora address book contacts into her iPad? Or does she have to manually enter them?

With Windoze, contacts can be synced with Outlook 2003, 2007, or 2010 along with syncing calendar events and notes, or with the address book app used by Outlook Express with XP and by Windows Mail with Vista and Windows 7 called Windows Contacts for syncing contacts only.
She needs to export her Eudora contacts and import that with a supported address book app on her PC.

That says Reset Documents and Data, not Contacts.
I want you to go to www.icloud.com, login and see how many contacts are there, because they are all the iCloud contacts. Any contacts that are not there, are not on iCloud.

Importing contacts from aol into iCloud

I have imported contacts from AOL into iCloud. The nature of AOL's contacts results in many email addresses listed as "undefined." I culled through the undefineds either deleted the entry or added it to an existing entry. BUT NOW the "undefineds" are back! Am I missing a setting or is there a way to make sure the "undefineds" do not keep popping up?

I think the point of backups is to have your data available should you need it in a device crash, etc.
You can backup using your DM and then move the *.ipd file to your Media Card. Should you be travelling, and have a crisis, you can move that IPD file to any computer or laptop and do a restore.
I am not aware of a way to import your contacts from the Media Card, however.

Importing contacts from pst into iCloud using Outlook 2010

I am trying to import contacts from a PST file into iCloud by importing it with Outlook 2010's standard import tool. I have set up iCloud on my desktop and have a node in my Outlook 2010 Contacts menu for iCloud. There are about 2000 contacts in the PST, but the import completes with only 511 contacts every time. The pop-up message at the end says "some items cannot be copied. they were either moved or deleted, or access was denied."
How can I troubleshoot this? Or, is there an alternate way to bring these contacts into iCloud for use also in Outlook and my iPhone 4?

i'm not sure this is possible. as far as i know you can only get contacts onto the ipod from either outlook OR windows contacts (which i think is only available with vista.)
there is an app called funambol, which will allow you to sync your contacts to an internet server, your ipod, and your mobile phone, using wifi.

I would like to import all my business contacts from Outlook and Google into iCloud so they can be accessed easily from my iPhone 5 and iPad mini. Cannot find anything in the help section that explains how to do this.

i exported them from outlook into a folder on my pc, then tried to import with icloud on my pc but the error message appears.

IMPORTING Contacts from MicroSSD into PhoneBook, is it possible?!?!?

Now this seems silly to me but so far I am aware that you can only move contacts direct from SIM not from External SSD cards?
Is this actually possible if not... why?

How to synch/Copy all Notes & Contacts from iPhone into iPad

I have a iPhone which is containing a bulk data in Notes and Contacts App. I want all these notes and contacts to be available on my iPad which I recently purchased. How can I transfer or copy and paste these bulk data on my Pad.

You have already been given the best options in the links already given. You can not regularly sync data between the devices with Lotus or iTunes alone. As outlined in the support documents Notes requires iCloud, Macs or a PC running Outlook for syncing Notes. Contacts can be done with Windows XP's Address Book, Contacts in Win7/Vista or OutLook.
Alternatively your only other option is to sync your iPhone with iTunes and let it create a Backup. Once the back up is done connect the iPad then select it in iTunes. From the iPads Summary Pane select Restore and when prompted select the iPhone's backup. This is will change all the iPad's data, settings and sync settings to be the same as the iPhone's. Any data saved to the iPad will be lost. This is a one time transfer and not a good method to keep the 2 devices in sync.

Could be many things, we should start with this...
"Try Disk Utility

Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.)

If you have push enabled it means emails are delivered to your phone instantly. So, instead of opening the app to check for mail your phone will buzz and bing when you get a new mail, as soon as it arrives in your mailbox.

Sync both devices to the same computer or iCloud account.
Or, tedious but works way, 'share' them off one device by e-mailing them to yourself, open that mail on your iPad, and then save them to your contacts from there
