Import, Eject and Refesh not working on iTunes 7.6

I updated to iTunes 7.6 today and now i iTunes won't import and eject cd automatically. I now have to eject cd manually, i then have to close itunes and re-open it as it doesnt auto refresh when a new cd is put in. it worked ok before i updated. I have set the prefrences to auto import and eject cd, but still no joy. Can anyone help?

Not sure if this is relevant, but if I close iTunes (7.6) after a CD has been inserted or use too many other applications, iTunes stops recognizing the existence of the CD and none of the eject commands will work. This happens whether I have already recorded from the CD or not. However, have had luck using the eject button on the (MacPro) keyboard.

    I've been working with iTunes on a PC for years - so I'm embarrassed I can't figure this out.  As recently as a few weeks ago, I could drag and drop movies and music from Windows Explorer into iTunes 12.1.0.71- now it's not working.  Even using the menus for File - Add File to the Library isn't working.  Did something change in this release?

    - C:\Users\%profile%\AppData\Roaming
    Rebooted
    Sorry 1 correction on my earlier post.  Install iTunes 12.0.1.26 for Windows (64-bit) - iTunes64Setup.exe (2014-10-16) NOT 12.1.0.71!
    Installed the newest QuickTime 7.7.6
    and Bingo!  Hopefully the next iTunes release addresses the issue moving forward.

  • Drag and Drop not working in iTunes (Mountain Lion)

    Hello,
    Earlier today the drag and drop function in iTunes stopped working.
    It was working yesterday and this morning, but no longer.
    I have not updated any software in a few days, but I did install
    JAVA 7 right before it stopped working. I have since deleted the Java 7 files
    in Library necessary for ridding my computer of it.
    Drag and drop is still fully functional in Finder, Mail, etc
    It seems to be broken only in iTunes.
    I don't have any clue why this has happened.
    Any help is much appreciated.

    I've recentlt udated to Snow Leopard and my itunes id up to date. First thing I noticed is that many things I used to do via drag and drop won't work anymore. or instance, i create a play list then I want to dag songs to it but it won't do it. I have to right click on the file and then select 'add to play list' and choose which playlist to add to. next, I want to rearrange the order of songs in a playlist and before I wold just click on the song and drag it up or down into the spot I want. Well It won't let me do it. Basically you need to add tracks in the order you want the first time.
    What's going on here, is this the way it is now or am I doing something wrong. BTW, I'm a long time mac user (since early 90s) and this is the most non intuitive experience I have ever had on a mac.

    well I discovered the problem after some research. It seems that if you have a wacom tablet and mouse, your mac won't allow you to do some drag and drop features. I have a microsoft mouse attached as well and it works fine.

    I have a new airport and before updating to the new version of iTunes it worked perfectly. Now the green light flashes (an option I ticked to show activity) but no music comes from the device.     Same problem here.
    My base station, which is newer, is working still, but the latest iTunes update knocked out my older AirPort Express.
    I've tried many times to reset the Express with a paperclip but no results. After resetting the Express, AirPort Utility reads it through a scan, but when I try to add Express to my existing network it drops out and fails to reconnect.
    I'm stuck with a flashing yellow light. AirPort Utility can't pick it up in another scan unless I go back and reset the Express with a paperclip and the process starts all over again.

    An iPhone backup to a computer via iTunes stores the photos in a backup file that is only meant to be be used if needed to restore back to the phone. There is 3rd party "extractor" software available but otherwise the photos are not directly viewable.
    The backup via iTunes was a good idea and your Camera Roll photos should be there and should be able to be restored to your new phone. However if it was me I wouldn't rely on that alone. I would also import the photos to a computer where you can see and verify that you have a copy. That is a good idea at any time (not just when you know you might need it). Any phone can be lost, broken, suffer hardware issues, etc at any time and lose all data on it.     iTunes STORE not “connectable” with my otherwise perfectly-working internet connection, viable, up and running for all other uses.
    Simply put, firstly, I can't connect to the internet when I click on Radio.  People are quite suspicious that this is Apple incompetence or your company's famous arrogance for this commonly-suffered problem that you won't or “can’t” fix.
    Read the many web comments and you won’t be pleased with yourselves: the suspicion is that if you ruin internet radio on iTunes, Apple will somehow make more money on music downloads, etc. Bull.
    Also, thirdly, my old playlist of 20 or so internet radio stations in the Ambient category STILL PLAYS !
    Then fourth, I installed the latest available version of QuickTime Player 7.app Version 7.6.6 but it didn’t solve the problem either. I had QuickTime Player.app Version 10.2, but substituted what Apple website said was the latest, LOWER NUMBERED QuickTime Player version of 7.6.6
    Fifth, I can't connect to iTunes store no matter what I do or what user group's advice I try. So I can’t buy or download anything from iTunes. Bad for business.
    Sixth, I updated to the latest version of iTunes but this weird problem remains. All suggested Apple fixes or user group fixes are useless. Where is Apple’s famous technical competency, vaunted customer support?, and user-friendly product reputation? Get it back, please.
    Solve this problem of yours ASAP for us, your numerous disgruntled, dissatisfied customers of iTunes. You can do better, should, and really –in all fairness- must.

    Apple ACCOUNT ID, and iTunes ID password, works but not to access iTunes with my healthy internet connection.
    Apple store id It works via direct internet connetion but not through iTunes.  Very strange.

I do not have this problem with iPad ID is stored and can be used in App Store and iTunes. I have just upgraded to 5c and it's still a problem.

    When fist setting up your new iphone you will be asked to log in with an apple id and password. If this did not happen you can then do as you suggested going to settings to itunes and app store and add your apple id login. This apple id login must have already been created for the iphone to accept it. If this apple id is already created but is not being accepted by your iphone you then should shut down your iphone and restart the device.

    You should copy everything from your old comptuer to your new one.

    Disconnect the iPad, do a Reset [Hold the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons down together for 10 seconds or so (until the Apple logo appears) and then release. The screen will go blank and then power ON again in the normal way.] It is 'appsolutely' safe!, reconnect and follow the prompts.

    Place the device in DFU mode and let iTunes restore the device to factory condition.

    We are fellow users here on these forums, you're not talking to iTunes Support nor Apple.
    You need to follow, exactly, the instructions on that HT2534 page when creating an account (the instructions won't work with existing accounts) - I've just tried it and I got the 'none' option.
    e.g. on my computer's iTunes I logged out of my existing account, found a free app in the store and clicked on its free 'price' :
    I then clicked on 'create Apple id' on the popup :
    Agreed to the terms, filled in my details, and got the 'none' option on the payments screen :
