Import enhanced photos from iPhone to iPhoto

How do I import enhanced (red-eye corrected, cropped, tinted) photos from my iPhone (iOS7) to iPhoto? I see the iPhone appearing in iPhoto but when I import the photos only the original is copied. The "enhanced" version do not show up in iPhoto.

Hello bbb34vball,
Since that article didn't help, I would suggest trying the steps in this article next:
iOS: Unable to import photos to computer - Apple Support
If that doesn't resolve your issue, you may find more information by using another one of Apple's support resources - https://getsupport.apple.com/GetproductgroupList.action.

  • I can not import my photos from iphone into iPhoto

    hi,
I've amassed around 18Gbs of photos and videos on my iphone and have never been able to import them!
In the old iphoto it would start importing then stop (deleting photos imported so far) since upgrading to Lion I can't even see the iphone appear in iphoto.
BTW I'm really trying to back the phone up so I can more to the iphone 5  - but that's failed (well I gave up after 6 hours!) so I thought I would import photos and speed up the backup process..
    Why is this so hard!
    Any tips?
    J

    Some suggestions:
Restrart the Phone, if that fails reset the phone.
Try use Image Capture (in your Applications Folder)

  • Can't finish importing photos from iPhone to iPhoto

I have about 2,000 pictures in my iPhone 4.
When I try to import my photos from iPhone to iPhoto Library, it stops importing after about 250 photos. Keeps saying 1,489 remaining(something like that) photos and the picture image on your iPhoto stops or freeze there. (Normally you can see what's importing into your iPhoto)
Tried rebooting the MacPro Tower and iPhone. My computer is up to date.
I was not sure if I had corrupted photo images, so I deleted bunch of photos around where iPhoto would stall.
I have no idea what's going on. Could someone please help me?
    Thanks,

Try use Image Capture (in your Applications Folder) to move the files to the Desktop and import from there.

  • Has anyone noticed how much slower it is to import photos from iphone to iphoto

has anyone noticed how much slower it is to import photos from iphone to iphoto in Mac OS.?

How many photos do you have in your iPhoto library? As your library grows, it will take more time to load when the app launches.Personally, I have not noticed any slowdown.
And my question was meant to find out whether you import process had gotten slower than...a year ago, a month ago, compared to other photo apps? Running Mountain Lion..since you upgraded? In the end..what? Hence, I asked.
Try being clearer next time. That way we don't have to beat around the bush when trying to help you.

  • IPhoto 11 (9.3.1) Q: howto delete already imported Photos from iPhone with iPhoto?

    iPhoto 11 (9.3.1)
    Steps:
    a) i startet iPhoto
    b) choose device iphone
    c) marked some phots
    d) clicked on import selected photos
    e) delete photos after import: NO
    f) photos imported to iphoto library
Now i have my photos imported.
when i now go in iPhoto to my iphone device i see now a section with my already imported photos
Q: how i can delete some of this already imported Photos from iPhone with iPhoto?
    PS:
i know there is the "Image Capture" app. but i like to do this with iPhoto, because i see there the already imported photos which i can delete safely from iphone.

You'll need to create a new, temporary library and import into that with the option to delete from your iPhone. Then delete the library and go back to your current library.

I have detele the iPhoto cache from user/library/caches/com.apple.iPhoto but it made no difference.
    Any advice is welcome.

Yes, I did solved the problem. It was not with iPhoto but with the iTunes. Once I delete my phone profile all worked. I did not write the steps down but if you do it please post it here.

  • I was trying to sync my latest photos from iphone onto iphoto but pressed restore instead of sync. Now it's deleted my latest photos taken a week ago. Is there a way to get back those photos via backup somehow?

I was trying to sync my latest photos from iphone onto iphoto but pressed "restore" instead of "sync". Now it's erased my latest photos taken on my iphone a week ago and erased music saved in itunes library. Is there a way to find these photos and music via backup?

Thanks so much Meg. Unfortunately, iTunes is the program I use to perform syncing. I don't really have other outside options. It is also the location of the backup I would use to restore my phone, and my only way to reclaim important data. I am concerned that, since the last backup occurred when the "other" bar was only moderately huge (around 29G I think), that a backup would replicate the problem back onto my phone.
My contacts, etc. are all in address book and the calendar app on my Mac.  As far as I know, iTunes is the way to get them back, but iTunes is where the problem is.
    Any thoughts on this?

  • Sync Photos from iPhone to iPhoto

Why I can't sync photos from iPhone to iPhoto? Both iPhoto and Image Capture only read 26 photos (and it cannot be import too) when I have hundreds in the Iphone.

Yes, it's all in 'camera roll' folder.. And iPhoto only shows 26 boxes that ready to be import, but when I clicked 'Import All' it said that 'error in sync'

  • Backup photos from iphone to iphoto with face recognision

I recently changed my harddisk on my macbook pro, fresh installed os x, updated to mountain lion.
I know most ppl would say I can transfer my data from time-machine, which I could. But my previous disk was backedup from my old old mac, 5 years ago, there is a lot crap on it which I don't want, etc.
Anyway. so I have the new system, and installed ilife. Then here is an issue:
    - you can import all your photos from iphone to iphoto without problem,
    - but all the face recognition and locations(for each album) defined on my iphone are't imported
    So my questions is: how?
Also, it would be very handy if we can import apps from iphone to itunes? If you can, not sure how?

I think you are asking, "How do I transfer Iphoto albums to my MacBook?"
If so it will cost you. Ive been told by Apple Support that your iphone photos albums are merely a mirror of the original photos. It is not an extra copy or a back up.
You can get a third party software from http://www.ecamm.com
Its called "PhoneView" There is a free version and one for 19.99.
I ended up getting both. It sure beats email all those cropped photos I put in albums to myself.
That would have taken forever so the 19.99 is worth it. Good Luck!

  • HT201317 after i import my photo from iphone to pc, there's a video that i can't delete?

after i import my photo from iphone to pc, there's a video that i can't delete? on my iphone. The video file is from my computer.

    Hi SyahirahS,
    Welcome to the Support Communities!
If the video was synced from iTunes when you connected your iPhone to the PC, you would have to remove it the same way.

  • How to import edited photos from iphone to Windows-based laptop without losing XMP edits

When I import photos from iphone into Lightshop all edits are lost. how do I prevent that?
    thanks
    Robert

You fail to understand the question. "How can I import edited photos from iPhone 5S to PC (Windows 7)?" The key is that the photos taken on my iPhone have been edited on the iPhone. The original photo exists in "Photo Stream," and the edited photo exists in "Camera Roll."
When I import (synch, transfer, any synonym you prefer is fine with me) photos, they are written to two areas available on my PC:
    Photostream images are at
       Computer\iCloud Photos\My Photo Stream\
and Camera Roll (edited phots) are at
       C:\Users\[my name]\Pictures\[synch-date]\
The images shown in "C:\Users\[my name]\Pictures\[synch-date]\" (the Camera Roll photos) are not as they were edited, however. I suspect that the iPhone "edits" images by applying a layer that manipulates the image without actually editing the file.
I have found so far that my best recourse is to import photos to my PC, edit them there in Photoshop (or other software), and then upload the images as I want them edited back to the iPhone. I would prefer to simply edit the pictures once on the iPhone and be able to import the edited files to my PC.

  • Importing photos from iPhone to iPhoto on my MacBook Pro very slow

It's taking the best part of thirty minutes to import the photos from my iPhone 5 (iOS 6.1.4) into iPhoto (version 9.4.3) using my MacBook Pro (10.8.2). I've tried rebuilding the iPhoto databse which didn't have any positive effect to the process. I've got 8000 photos in iPhoto and 1700 on the iPhone. I'm doing the import everyday so there's usually not more than 20-30 photos to import, any idea why it is taking so long and what I can do to speed it up?

How full is your system drive? Can it be that you are running out of disk space?
Has it always been this slow to import from your iPhone, or only recently?
If it is a recent problem, what has changed lately? Have you installed, uninstalled, or updated any software?

  • Importing photos from iphone to iphoto isn't working right

    Hi
Every time I try to import a photo from my iphone to iphoto I get this message below for each photo and have to push the cancel button to get the image to import. It is very frustrating when I have 100s of photos to import. any ideas what's going on? I don't have a clue why it asks for a disk or a server...
Here is the message in the window I get...
"The volume for “IMG_0007.JPG” cannot be found.
Insert the disk or connect to the server volume and wait for it to appear on the desktop, then try again."
    thx

This sometimes occurs if you’re importing a file into iPhoto and there’s already a file there with the same name. Digital cameras can produce many, many files with the same name over their lifetime, so it’s not uncommon to have several files called IMG_00543.JPG, for instance. Now you want to import one also called this.
What happens is that iPhoto compares the two files to check for duplicates. However, if iPhoto cannot find the file already in the database for comparison, then you get this message. It suggests that your database is damaged because iPhoto has lost track of this (or these) similarly named files.
A simple test is to rename the file you are importing - just add a character - IMG_00543a.JPG for instance. If this then imports with no issue then you might consider rebuilding your library:
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

  • Importing Photos From iPhone to iPhoto - Lost Photos

Just wanted to mention that I lost about 10 pictures during an import to iPhoto. When I plugged in the iPhone, iPhoto popped up, as normal. I chose "Select all" and when it was done, I chose "Delete files" from phone. Then the progress bar got stuck on "Finishing import". For several minutes I let it go.. nothing. I opened the Force Quit window and it showed iPhoto was unresponsive so I force quit.
None of the files ever made it onto my iPhoto. Half of those files are gone on my iPhone, half remained. I reset the iPhone and plugged it back in. iPhoto says there are 0 photos on the phone even though there are obviously some.

I had the same problem this morning. iPhoto hung up while "Finishing" an import of photos from the iPhone, and after force quitting iPhoto, more than half my photos failed to show up either on the iPhone or in iPhoto. After reading this topic, I figured the pictures had to be somewhere, so I opened a finder window, clicked "All Images" under "Search For" in the left-hand bar and there they were, apparently filed in "Home/Pictures/iPhoto Library/Data/2009/Oct 31, 2009". I copied the pictures I had "lost" to the desktop and re-imported them with no problems. There's probably an easier way to do it, but that's what worked for me, and I'm happy to have my photos back.
