Import Entourage Databse to Outlook 2010

How can I export my Extourage 2008 email database to Outlook 2010.
I have an mac book with entourage 2010 installed and now I need to switch over to windows system containing outlook 2010. I need to transfer all the data from entourage 2008 to outlook 2010. I have plenty of emails, the all mails folder shows 13849 emails. I have also arranged these emails in different folders, so it will really helpful if after transfer all the folders are saved similarly as in entourage 2008.
Please help me export the email database from entourage 2008 to outlook 2010.

What kind of email account? IMAP or POP?
Any IMAP email accounts should be easy as you will just need to add the email account to Apple Mail as any messages and folders should be on the email server.
For POP, then you will need to do some sort of export/import. You could try "drag and drop" from Outlook to Mail. I believe this will work, but I don't fully recall.
Bulk mail transfer can be done best with the help of applications.
Here is one tool that I found in top rankings of google search:- Entourage to Outlook
I hope this helps you

  • Import entourage database into Outlook 2011 for mac

    I set up a new macbook from a time machine backup. The main identity for entourage was from the original date of install. Unfortunately, I didn't notice that when I did my initial import so it brought in about two e-mails from 2 years ago but not the entire database. I did a new TM backup of the entire database and chose import in Outlook and it appeared to be going but when it indicated it was finished-- nothing new showed up. What did I do wrong?

    Hi,
    We can import .iaf files in Outlook 2010 using the following method:
    Start Outlook 2010.
    On the File menu, click Import and Export.
    Click the Advanced tab, and then click Export.
    Click Import Internet Mail Account Settings, and then click
    Next.
    Follow the Internet Connection Wizard to complete the import process.
    But, I don't know if we can do this in Outlook for Mac 2011. Since this forum is for general questions and feedback related to Outlook for Windows, it's better to post Mac related issue to the forum for Mac:

  • Applescript to import entourage identity to Outlook 2011

    HI everyone,
    I was wondering if anyone has had experience or knows the syntax involved in using the applescript commands "import identity" and "import rge" in Outlook 2011 SP1 for Mac.
    I've got a script to add the user's Exchange acct into outlook, but am working on automatically importing their Entourage 2004/2008 identity and any .rge archives they may have.
    Any ideas? Even if you just know the syntax to use, that would be a huge help. I keep getting thid message on importing an rge:
    set TestArchive to "TestArchive.rge"
    do shell script "cd /Users/agiadminexec2/Desktop/"
    tell application "Microsoft Outlook"
      import rge TestArchive
    end tell
    Response:
    tell current application
              do shell script "cd /Users/agiadminexec2/Desktop/"
    end tell
    tell application "Microsoft Outlook"
              import rge "TestArchive.rge"
      false
    end tell
    And when I try to import identity:
    do shell script "cd '/Users/agiadminexec2/Documents/Microsoft User Data/Office 2004 Identities/'"
    tell application "Microsoft Outlook"
              import identity "Main Identity"
    end tell
    Response:
    tell current application
              do shell script "cd '/Users/agiadminexec2/Documents/Microsoft User Data/Office 2004 Identities/'"
    end tell
    tell application "Microsoft Outlook"
              import identity "Main Identity"
                        "Microsoft Outlook got an error: Parameter error."

  • How do I import mail from Outlook 2010?

    When I try to import my emails from Outlook 2010 I get the following message:
    "An error occurred importing mail from Outlook
    Unable to find mail to import. Check to make sure the mail application is correctly installed on this machine."

    You'll need to do it from a 32bit version - Mail/Live mail do not recongise outlook 2010 64 bit.  Dropping EML files into Outlook folder has always created new messages with attachments - this is nothing new.
    ETA: if you can email the messages as attachments, you can drag them from the message and drop them in the Inbox.  This obviously works best if there aren't hundreds of messages to convert. :)
    There are 3rd party utilties that can make the conversion but they may not work with the 64bit version. See http://www.slipstick.com/config/convmsg.htm for a list of programs that can make the conversion but i don't know if any of them work with 64bit outlook.

  • Transfer emails from outlook 2011 for mac to Outlook 2010 for windows

    Hi,
    I want to transfer emails from outlook 2011 for mac to outlook 2010 for windows.
    Outlook 2011 exports mails only in olm format and there is no option to import olm files in outlook 2010.
     I can drag and drop emails from outlook 2011 to a finder folder which saves emails as eml files. How can import eml files into outlook 2010.
    Please help

    Hi,
    Thank you for using
    Microsoft Office for IT Professionals Forums.
    Base on the research ,
    We can try the steps below to add the registry sub key. This will open all .eml files that are in the file system using Outlook, including *.eml attachments on messages in OE/WLM. Any replies will be sent
    using Outlook.
    ===========
    Important This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the
    registry. However, serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you follow these steps carefully. For added protection, back up the registry before you modify it. Then, you can restore the registry if a problem
    occurs.
    1.Type
    regedit in the Search field on the Start menu or press
    Windows Key+ R and enter it in the Run command.
    2.Navigate to
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Microsoft Internet Mail Message WLMail\shell\open\command
    Or HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Microsoft Internet Mail Message\shell\open\command
    3. Change the command line (here its "C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Live\Mail\wlmail.exe" /eml:%1)
    to the following line, exactly as shown below but correcting the path to Outlook.exe to match the path on your computer.
    "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office14\OUTLOOK.EXE" /eml "%1"
    Thanks for your understanding.
    Sincerely

  • Import Outlook 2010 contact into Mac OS X Address Book

    *Help needed!*
    In our company, we run PCs with Windows XP and MS Office 2010. For private usage I have a MacBook with Snow Leopard.
    Since quite I while, I am trying to export the contacts from my Outlook 2010 address book into the preferred Address Book on my Mac. However, It does not work anymore.
    I had found a simple way which worked well as long as my company was using the old MS Office. I simply sent the contacts from Outlook to Mac as attached files via email and could easily drag and drop them onto the desktop and further into the Address Book. Now coming from Office 2010, the addresses cannot be imported anymore.
    The Finder on my Mac recognizes the files on the desktop but I can neither import nor drag-and-drop them into my Address Book.
    Happy for any hint you give me!

    Figured out what was happening here. It seems that even though a new contact is synced immediately (from MobileMe to the iPhone), categorization data is NOT -- it seems to take hours until this data gets updated.

  • Importing contacts from pst into iCloud using Outlook 2010

    I am trying to import contacts from a PST file into iCloud by importing it with Outlook 2010's standard import tool.  I have set up iCloud on my desktop and have a node in my Outlook 2010 Contacts menu for iCloud.  There are about 2000 contacts in the PST, but the import completes with only 511 contacts every time.  The pop-up message at the end says "some items cannot be copied.  they were either moved or deleted, or access was denied."
    How can I troubleshoot this?  Or, is there an alternate way to bring these contacts into iCloud for use also in Outlook and my iPhone 4?
    Glenn

    i'm not sure this is possible. as far as i know you can only get contacts onto the ipod from either outlook OR windows contacts (which i think is only available with vista.)
    there is an app called funambol, which will allow you to sync your contacts to an internet server, your ipod, and your mobile phone, using wifi.

  • Messages won't import from Entourage 2008 to Outlook 2011

    My hard drive crashed on my MacBook Pro that was running Entourage 2008 for Mac. I have a back up of the Microsoft User Data file, and I want to upload it to Outlook 2011 for Mac. When I import the data, it pulls my calendar and complete folder structure into outlook perfectly. However, there are no messages/emails in any of the folders. I've tried it a couple times and same thing always happens. Transfers everything but the messages. The database is 19GBs, so I know the messages are on there.

    To exporting Entourage data into Outlook 2011, select "Items to an Entourage archive" option and that gets export everything; mail, folders I've created, contacts, and calendar.

    Hi,
    We can try to export the Suggested Contacts from Outlook 2010, and then convert them into .NK2 file with the NK2Edit tool.
    To export the Suggested Contacts, open your Outlook 2010, click File > Open > Import > select
    Comma Separated Values (Windows) > select
    Suggested Contacts > follow the wizard to finish the exporting.
    For the NK2Edit, you can easily find it by searching in your internet explorer.
    For more information, please have a look at this thread:

I'm getting you are new to OS X, if you only want to migrate your contacts use the suggestion noted above.
