Import/Export and Portlet Ids

Hi everybody,
we face the following problem. We have developed a solution for a customer in Oracle Portal. This consists of many portlets. There is one portlet, used many times in the portal, we so call Text Portlet. Its role is to render some text retreived by a custom table. The text is defined in the edit mode. The relationship between the portlet instances and the text info is holded on our custom table where the fields are PortletId, lang and the appropriate text. When we import everything into the production portal the portlet Ids change and the relations are lost. Is there a way to keep our ids unchanged after import? Or maybe some kind of unique identifier to hold the relation on it?
Thanks in advance,
Kiros

You will find the setting in your User Library in the folder
Your Home Directory > Library > Application Support > Aperture
Everything with "preset" in its name might be interesting to you.
Reveal the User Library by going to the Finder main menu bar, select "Go" and hold down the "option" key, until you see the Library in the drop down menu. Select it.
In the Library Finder window navigate to the "Application Support" folder, then "Aperture".
Drag the Aperture folder to the Finder Sidebar for easy access, then open Time Machine.
Go back in Time to the time you want to restore from, then restore the "Aperture Folder"  to your Desktop and copy the files you need to your Library.

  • Import/export and workflow questions

I am using a Canon HF-S20, it shoots in 1080i AVCHD.
When importing into imovie, how much quality is lost by importing "large" and not"full". It seems like the "full" file sizes are 4 times the size. Is "large' going to still give me good results?
And what is the best export settings to preserve as much quality as possible?
I have a PS3, what is the best way to play the exported movie through the PS3? stick the file on a flash drive?
any tips you can give me as far as the best workflow to keep high quality would be great. thanks

    Karsten said:
    I export my Projects from within iM09 as mpeg4/Options: h264, 720, p, 25fps, 3-5Mbit - quality is superb ..
I use Share to Media Browser to export my Large (960 x 540) projects. I export as either Large or HD (1280 x 720). The HD export produces a movie labelled "720p.mov". Opening this in QuickTime, the Inspector reveals the following settings:
    Format: H.264, 1280 x 720, Millions; AAC Stereo (L R), 44,100 kHz
    FPS: 25 +(Karsten & I are both in PAL country)+
    Data Rate: 10.11 mbits/s
For a one hour movie the file size is about 4.5 GB
So, using Share to Media Browser at the HD setting produces a similar movie to that generated by Karsten's export method. However, the data rate is much lower with Karsten's settings - but he is still seeing excellent results. I also achieve great results using Share to Media Browser (HD), but the higher data rate is probably resulting in a much larger file size than Karsten is seeing. Clearly, either method will give excellent results, based on what Karsten and I are seeing using different approaches.

  • Import / Export and TCP packets relay

    Hi All,
Any idea what relationship Export/ Import on a local box has on the TCP/IP packets ? I see tremendous amount of packets (42000 / sec) on a Windows 64 bit box while doing Import / Export. Its from an 8i to 10g so the Import / Export.

On a local server you don't need to use TCP/IP.
Generally speaking export is just a series of SELECTs. The nomal array interface applies, the size of the array is indicated by the buffer parameter.
One array is fragment by sqlnet in packages of SDU size, default 2048 bytes.
These packages are being fragmented by the network card, as the default MTU is 1500 bytes.

  • Import/Export and close LR

I'd like LR to close itself after an long import or export job.

I'm neutral on the feature request personally, but here's something you can do in the mean time:
Just set a timer to shut your computer down after its had time to do the import/export - it'll take Lightroom with it.
On Windows I use the "Simple Shutdown Timer" utility.
    Not sure about Mac.

  • Import / Export PLSQL Portlets

Export from PL/SQL created sample portlets is ok.
    Import on another instance:
No errors, but the page is empty. The page is created with no portlets and no provider.
    The same as java portlets?!

Same Q&Response on Oracle 9ias Portal too:
    Deiter,
I had the same problem. Your analysis is
right. My solution was to put quotes around
the string in provider.xml, as in:
    <timeoutMsg>'Portal Web provider timed out'</timeoutMsg>
If you check this string now in the exported
page dumpd file, you will see that string
is correctly quoted. So the pl-sql execution
during import will not fail now.

  • Regarding import, export, and report programs in biw

    Hi to all,
This is kittu, i want to know what type of abap code will be written on import programs, export programs, and report programs in biw and if we need to make any changes
what type of changes can we make.
waiting for reply from u all guys.
    bye.

    Dear Ashish Patel,
As far as I know, you can only expose a decision table as a web-service which is created inside a Reusable Ruleset. And RulesManager application only allows editing of Rulesets and Flow Rulesets but Reusable Ruleset is not editable in RulesManager. And hence, you will not be able to edit/export/import the decision table in the Reusable Ruleset.
    Hope this answers your question.

  • Word doc import/export and line spacing differences with Pages '09

When I save or open a Word .doc, the default line spacing differences messes up the document formatting, the document ends up being more pages in Pages than when I open in Word:Mac.
One work around I learned about on this forum is to set the line spacing to "exact" in Pages. This is okay, except many Word documents have subtle line spacing before or after paragraphs and/or different size fonts in the document that affects line spacing. Setting Pages line spacing to exact makes a mess of these documents.
Why can't Apple build a proper line spacing function into Pages so it is more compatible with Word? If they are touting compatibility, they need to make a disclaimer in their advertising as only simple documents seem to work without issues.
Is there a better work around available?
    Thanks.
    Bud

    Bud,
It seems that there is incompatibility in the before and after spacing (Ctrl + 0 in Word for Windows adds 12 points, if I remember correctly).
Since you mention a .doc file, it makes me think you have a Word 2003 or earlier format. I have a couple of suggestions:
    1. If you have access to Word 2007 or Word 2008 for Mac, try saving in .docx. Basically, a .docx is compliant with Office Open XML, the ECMA standard that is the basis for the document formats in Microsoft Office 2007 and Microsoft Office 2008 for Mac.
[Note: The Office Open XML ECMA standard, or OOXML is a source of polemic since it was donated by Microsoft and competes with Open Document Format, or ODF. You can find more here:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OfficeOpen_XML#Implementations_of_new_2008version
and Microsoft has stated they'll support the newer standard and retrofit Office 2007. Let's hope they do the same for Office 2008 for Mac and that Apple picks up as well with an upgrade for Pages '09 or in Pages '10]
    2. If the above does not work, I would suggest reporting this to Apple. This would indicate a compatibility problem in Office Open XML compliance, which should be independent of Word itself. A way to support this claim would be to test it in another word processor that adds space before and after a paragraph and that supports OOXML, which I think would be too much I would not bother reporting it for a Word 2003 format because it is proprietary.
    Hope it helps.

  • How to differentiate which is exporting and importing parameters when calling dynamically using CL_ABAP_OBJECTDESCR

    Hello All,
First of all sorry for posting the question in general abap queries, since somehow I am not able to post in ABAP objects discussions.
    My requirement is
Step 1 :  To get table name as input  and dynamically derive all fields which is going to be passed as parameters for a method
I did this using  cl_abap_typedescr class
Step 2:  Then Pass the values into the relevant fields using below code
    ptab_line-name = 'DATA_TAB'.
    ptab_line-kind =
    cl_abap_objectdescr=>changing.
    GET REFERENCE OF text_tab INTO
    ptab_line-value.
    INSERT ptab_line INTO TABLE ptab.
Step 3:  Later I am calling dynamic class like
        CALL METHOD (class)=>(meth)
          PARAMETER-TABLE
            ptab
          EXCEPTION-TABLE
            etab.
I have read most of the post using Class cl_abap_typedescr=>describe_by_name to get parameter where I have to give correct parameter type.
But my issue is that I also need to know which fields are acting as importing , exporting and changing parameter.
Is there anyway to determine and pass method's paramter type as well ?
    Thanks!
    Regards,
    Ramya

Might be I can use table view VSEOMEPARA

  • Custom HTML importer/exporter, how to preserve HTML id, class, style

I need to implement a custom XHTML importer/exporter and CSSFormatResolver.
    If I for example have a p-element: <p id="p1" class="xyz" style="margin:0.7em; color:#3300FF">lorem ipsum</p>
How do I map the HTML attributes: id, class and style in order to preserve them in the ParagraphElement in order to use them during the custom CSS cascade process and for custom HTML export purposes (the exporter needs to spit out <p id="p1" class="xyz" style="margin:0.7em;  color:#3300FF">lorem ipsum</p> again.
    1. is this mapping correct or will this interfere with internal TLF formatting:
    HTML attribute
    ParagraphElement property
    id
    id
    class
    styleName
    style
    userStyles
    2. What is the purpose of FlowElement.coreStyles (where are those styles applied)?
    3. What is the actual purpose of FlowElement.userStyles, are those styles just for non TLF (end developer custom) purposes or does TLF use them at any point to set the element format properties?
    4. Any other pointers or related (non flex framwork) examples are welcome
    Thanks.
    Cheers, Benny

Your mapping looks correct to me for id and styleName.
I think what you are saying about style mapping to userStyles is correct.  Yes userStyles is an object of key value pairs holding all the non-TLF styles for a FlowElement.  coreStyles holds all the TLF styles for a FlowElement. TLF does use userStyles itself for the linkHoverFormat, linkActiveFormat and linkNormalFormat styles.
Setting FlowElement.userStyles TLF will replace the current set of userStyles with those in the supplied Object.  That Object will be treated as a dictionary of stylenames and values.
Normally I'd expect you'd use the FlowElement.setStyle API which figures out if a particular style belongs to coreStyles or userStyles and then sets the new style appropriately without changing the others.

  • IMPORT/EXPORT in RFC

    Hello,
I am programming an RFC that sends a XSTRING a Java web portal, and in this case I have to send a PDF XSTRING generated on the SAP server.
Therefore I am calling the program that generates the PDF and the return string of bits through the RFC IMPORT / EXPORT, and the problem I have that I do not get the RFC, but the program is making the process well.
    As I do?
I've checked several forums on SDN and I have not seen anything that I have fixed the problem.
    Greetings.

    Hi
Have you tried with a debug??
    the destination is correct??

  • ODI Job Import/Export

    Hi,
I want to import the jobs from ODI.I'm new to ODI.Please tell me how to export the jobs or project from the ODI

ODI supports XML import/export and its "how to" could be found in standard documentation. Using this you could import or export your objects such as projects, folders, packages and interfaces ("jobs" in other ETL tools). Which ODI version do you use?

  • Iphoto 9.4.2 crashes- import, export, editing, lost photos-Is there a fix?

I have had multiple crashes with iphoto 9.4.2 on my Mac OSX- 10.7.5 while importing, exporting and --most infurating of all-- while editing. Upon restart all photos were lost - that is there is record of the event but no photos show up in that space. I have had reimport them multiple times. But upon reimporting, iphoto seems to think they are still there and asks me if I want duplicates made.
