Import/Export data in MDS

Hi All,
Please let me know what credentials are to be used while executing weblogicExportMetadata and weblogicImportMetadata scripts. I have been using weblogic credentials and WLS URL all this while and have been able to both import and export files. But now I am told that along with weblogic credentials, OIM URL should be given. Please let me know what do you use in both OIM 11.1.1.5/11.1.1.3.

for all MDS related(WeblogicImprtMetaData.sh,exp,delete...etc) use Weblogic Admin console url and weblogic user credential
For plugin register, unregister etc use xelsysadm and pass oim url
For UploadJars.sh use Oim url and OIM credentials
when something goes to MDS schema use Weblogic credential and for OIM schema use OIM credential

  • Has anyone had issues with Administration\Data Import/Export\Data Import???

Has anyone had issues with Administration\Data Import/Export\Data Import???
I have a client who has recently upgraded from V2007 to V8.81. They were succesfuly  using this standard function to import supplier prices to their master price list, but now it has failed?
I have looked at the file they are importing and it appears to be fine.
On closer inspection, it did contain approx 46,000 entries, so I took the first 1,000 and created a test file, which imported fine.
The only issue I found was Speed, with the test file of 1,000 records taking about 30 Mins to import. This appeared to get slower and slower the further through the file it got!
Based on this, I have estimated that the whole file would takle about 13 hours to import. The client say that when they used to run it on version 2007 it was far quicker?
In practice, it does appear to run, but the speed is the issue. Having said this, I set the whole file to run last night (over night)and this morning it had appeared to hang after about 2,307 rows, with nothing else being updated.
Has anyone any ideas or is aware of performance issues like this?
    Thanks,
    Ian

Always an option, but would you give your clients access to this tool?
    Not sure really.
I have uploaded a copy of their database onto my test system and run the same routine. Its equally as SLOW
I can't gauage if its an issue with 8.81 that 2007 didn't have, as I only have the client's word on it, however I have no reason to disbelieve them.
    Kind regards,
    Ian

  • Importing/Exporting data from Microsoft Access

    Hello to everybody!
I have to create a management software (client-server).
CLIENT SIDE: ClientS insert data into forms and these data are stored into a database Access (client database). Every month clients send to the server some of the data stored (data of the month!).
SERVER SIDE: "Server man" receive from clients those data by email end need to store them into the main server database.
Note: Data to be send have not a big dimension and, naturally, clients and server databases are identical (same structure)!
    My questions are:
    1) What is the best way to export data from database access to a file? (I imagine I need to use .XML file). Do I need to use particular package or software??
    2) What is the best way to import data from a file (maybe .XML) into a database access (of server)?? Do I need to use particular package or software??
This is my first software of this kind.
    Please HELP ME!
    Thanks in advance, Liuk.

    1) What is the best way to export data from database
access to a file? That depends on many things.
(I imagine I need to use .XML
file). NO! That's not what XML is for
Do I need to use particular package or
software??Again, that depends on a lot of things.
    2) What is the best way to import data from a file
(maybe .XML) into a database access (of server)?? Do
I need to use particular package or software??Look at Java IO packages for reading data from files. Then look at JDBC for writing data to databases. Avoid XML, you don't need it.

  • Import/Export Data Forms in SmartView 11.1.2

    Hi,
Can we Import and Export Planning Data Forms using Smartview in 11.1.2? I know there is Offline Data Form, but is there an option of Exporting and Importing planning Data Forms using Smart View in 11.1.2?
    Regards,
    SG

No, I don't believe you can import/export forms using SmartView.
However LCM is available and is pretty painless:

  • Import, Export Data functions hidden

In previous version of Adobe Acrobat, you could import and export data quite easily from a Forms collapsible pane. Now it appears this functionality is hidden. I was only able to find it by searching in tools. But additionally, the section it is under (Prepare form) does not show this option in contextual toolbar.

  • Import/Export Data Form

    Hi,
i copy my production planning application (ver 9.3.1)to a new one for testing usage.
I use the FormDefUtil utility to manage the DataForm.
Can i recreate the folder structure that contains the data form automatically?
Infact i have a lot of folders and i don't want replicate it manually.
    Thank in advice.
    Stefano

That's like using a steam shovel to crack a walnut.
Yes, migrating the entire application will indeed bring the form folder structure across, along with the forms. It also brings the rest of the application.
I'm not sure the OP was after that (or maybe he was, but I didn't see that).
To echo my Scottish (I presume, but I've yet to meet anyone not from Scotland calling himself Jock) extremely distant cousin, the forms will come across but unfortunately the folders will not.

  • Macro to import/export data with MS Access

The company I work for has a series of MS Word documents that can use a macro button (button in MS Word) to communicate with MS Access. The Word document receives a tracking number and gives MSAccess two fields of information such as name, and date. The word document then saves that tracking number, and Access saves the name and date information.
Is this macro a possibility with Adobe LifeCycle documents? I have replaced the word documents with LifeCycle designed pdfs. The pdfs are amazing but the macro is the last piece to bridge the gap. Any comments or suggestions? From some light Adobe reading it appears possible. Thanks as always for your help.
I have found the MS Word file  macro. Is this convertible to javascript?

  • Import Export command

    Hi
I just finished a sketch of my project and I'm about to build it in siena. I'll be able to build almost everything with this version of siena. However one important feature is still missing and before I start to build it I would like to know if you planning
to implement the feature into siena or no.
I need a command for importing and exporting data or ability to chose a location for saving and loading data. I need to share app data with other users on company network and I don't want the data to be save on device. I can't use a internet so the
    only way is local network
Please answer this. It's very important. I don't want to start something what I can't finish
    Thanks

    Hi thorwn
    In today version:
You can save load data but only somewhere in your device so the saved data can not be shared with other device
You can import export data even multiple data but only by pressing import export button so an importing or exporting can not be done without user intervention.
I need to save or export data each time I collect or update collection into already predefined location
so the data can be shared between multiple devices
    without user intervention.
For example: I have two users in one company with two devices. First user collect a collection in the app and automatically save it on a network. Second user open the app and he will see the change what first user did.
(Once again I can't use internet connection)
    The solution: In collect button
    OnSelect: Collect(collection: ID:1, Name:"XYZ"); Export(collection, "C:\Shared\Appdata\collection")
    In screen with collection
    OnScreenLoad: Import(collection,"C:\Shared\Appdata\collection")
The location for saving and loading can be saved and modified on device. Import(collection, savedLoacation)

We need to import/export data in either IGES or VDA-FS file format with DIADEM to/from CATIA. The data is a three dimensional array of coordinates representing the contour of a automotive seat.

    Dear Otmar,
I'm investigating this for a new customer project.
IGES is a standard file format used to excange data between CAD systems.
VDA-FS is a file format which is standardized by the german automotive industry consortium.
Currently I have no description for the file formats nor any data files.
I will make a new comment within 6 weeks if I need more help from you.
    Thanks Waldemar

  • "argument number too large" in OEM import export app

    Hi everybody,
I am a beginer with Oracle 9i and I am facing a strange error message when I try to import/export data from OEM connecter to my Oracle Enterprise Manager server.

"The following error occurs when you attemps to connect to the database with the login parameters
    argument number too large at"
My Oracle 9i is installed on a clean test platform : NT4server + SP6 french version, dual proc and 512 Mb RAM.

To view your folio on your iPad you have two choices:
1 - If you built your folio offline on your local machine, choose the upload option from the Folio Builder fly out menu. All folios that were built online and any you uploaded are available for you to download when you log into ACV on your iPad.
2 - This is a MAC only option. Plug your iPad into your computer via the USB cable. With the iPad turned on and ACV opened you will see a Preview on [iPad Name] from the preview menu in folio builder.
I tested both of the supplied files after publishing them for the web from Edge and placing the html files in a web overlay. I previewed on both the desktop viewer and my iPad. Both worked as expected on the iPad. The Jams worked in a desktop preview but your logo just showed a red box. The white background is removed by selecting the transparent background option in the Overlay panel.
As Bob said, the desktop previewer is not 100% reliable. It is used for quick, down and dirty checking. It's always pest to preview on a device if something does not work as expected.
If it helps, I will share my test folio with you. Message me you email address.

  • Problem with Import and Export Data Wizard

Downloaded and installed SQL Server Express 2008 R2 today because I want to explore how Access interacts with SQL Server (using my home computer). I'm using Access 2010 (under Windows 7), so the 2008 version of SQL Server Express seemed to be the version
    to use.
After a couple of false starts, installation appeared to go okay. After the installation. My Start menu listed Microsoft SQL Server 2008 and Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2. The latter listed Import and Export Data (64-bit). When I clicked that, the first Import
and Export Data Wizard page was displayed. I wasn't ready at that time to explore the wizard, so I closed it. An hour or so later I again attempted to open the Import and Export Data wizard. This time, the wizard didn't open. Instead this error message was
displayed: "The SSIS Runtime object could not be created. Verify that DTS.dll is available and registered."
I found DTS.dll on my computer at C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\100\DTS\Binn, so the file is available, but don't know whether it is registered.
How can I correct this problem?

First can you please post all log file errors
    >> I can't really give you a solution or specific recommendation since I did not saw this error yet myself, but on your own risk you can try:
    1. You may try to just register 'dts.dll' using regsvr32.exe, but this error may indicate a bigger problem with setup.
If you are running SQL Server 64bit then try running this at the command prompt: %windir%\syswow64\regsvr32 "%ProgramFiles(x86)%\Microsoft SQL Server\90\dts\binn\dts.dll"
    2. You can try reinstall from start (In this case you have to make sure that you un-install all)
