Import / Export Fail .. shared library not loaded
I have installed Oracle 8i (8.1.0.2) on Redhat Linux 6.1 The installation and DB creation went off fine. I am able to run and connect from SQLPLUS Svrmgr etc
But the problem i am facing is on running IMP or EXP it give the error
"Error in loadinf shared libraries. libclntsh.8.0 cannot open shared object file. no such file or directory"
I checked for the file and it is present in the $ORACLE_HOME/lib directory.

Hi,
U should set env. variable LD_LIBRARY_PATH. It is like PATH variable, can be pointed, where the shared libraries are existing.
I think, this file may be calling some other sahred libraries, existing in some other directories.
Do these things.
1. At ur HOME directory, by using find command findout, where are shared libraries are existing.
find . -name "*.so" -print
Then u will get the path name
2. If there is any other paths, add these paths with this env. variable. Using this command u can find out.
echo $LD_LIBRARY_PATH.
Pls keep this env. variable in profile file.

Images in the shared library not loaded in the application EAR
The images in the shared library are not getting loaded in the application EAR deployed in the weblogic server.
I have a portal web project, which is deployed in the server, as a shared library. I'm using this shared library in my application EAR. All the details like the portlets, look and feel elements are loaded. But the images are not displayed when I run my application. Please help!!
Can it be a problem with the context path specified or something else?Hello,
It is most likely an issue with how your portlets are creating the URLs to the images. What kind of portlets are you using (JPF, JSF, JSR168, Struts, JSP)? And how are you generating the URLs to the images?

"The application iChat quit unexpectedly"; "Library not loaded"?
Whenever I try to launch iChat, I receive "the application iChat quit unexpectedly" error.
Neither "Relaunch" nor "Reset and Relaunch" fix the issue, and when I click "Report" and view the "Report Details" it gives the output enclosed below.
The gist of the error is "Library not loaded: /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/ScreenSharing.framework/Versions/A/ScreenShar ing".
It also says "Reason: no suitable image found", but it also says it:
"Did find:
/System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/ScreenSharing.framework/Versions/A/ScreenShari ng: unknown file type, first eight bytes: 0x6E 0x61 0x6D 0x65 0x20 0x20 0x48 0x42"
I've removed and reinstalled iChat (when in Safe Boot -- with the Shift key) from Disk 1 of the Mac OS X Install disk 1 by using the "Optional Installs.mpkg" installer and selecting only iChat, but I still receive the same error.
How can I reinstall this "ScreenSharing" library? Would that likely fix the issue?
PS - I just realized that if I go to "System Preferences" and click "Sharing", the options are totally blank! I can't see any options or change any Sharing configuration! All my other System Preferences show up correctly.
So now the question becomes, how do I install just the "Sharing" System Preference?
Or should I try to reset permissions on the Sharing System Preference somehow?
Thanks!!

Note that the first eight bytes of a Universal-Binary Mach-O image should be 0xCAFEBABE, 0x00000002. Since the existing file was so vastly different, after all else is said and done, you may want to make sure your hard drive checks out okay in Disk Utility. -
Sql developer 1.5.4 can't connect to SQL Server: "SSPI library not loaded"
Hi,
as Dana N. pointed out in her thread (Re: How do I make a connection to SQL Server Express using SQL Developer 1.5.3? I get the same error:
error: Status: Failure test failed I/O error: SSO failed: Native SSPI library not loaded. Check the java.library.path system property
But ... I'm on sql developer 1.5.4.59.40 and tried with both the jtds from the download via "Help -> Check for updates" and the jtds-1.2.2-dist.zip from sourceforge. Both times I configured the 3rd-party-driver in "Tools -> Preferences -> Database -> Third Party JDBC Drivers" as described in http://www.oracle.com/technology/oramag/oracle/08-may/o38sql.html.
The error above remains.
Can someone please give a hint on "java.library.path system property"?
Where can you find it?
Regards,
Frank.Hi Frank
This message means that the driver code is unable to locate a DLL to load up and use. Looking at the message I suspect that the DLL in question <jtds-dist>\SSO\ntlmauth.dll .
There are a couple of ways of making the Java VM locate the DLL, assuming you are using windows then the easiest would be to add the directory <jtds-dist>\SSO to you path environment (replacing <jtds-dist> with the actual path to your JTDS distribution).

Fobs4JMF, Native shared library NOT found, Mac OS 10.5
Hello all,
We are having trouble getting Fobs4JMF working on a MAC; we are receiving the following error:

at com.omnividea.media.parser.video.Parser.<clinit>(Parser.java:107)The source code we are using works fine on a windows machine using the native .dll file.
The following files were copied from the binary download into our project folder:
a) libfobs4jmf.jnilib
b) jmf.jar
c) fobs4jmf.jar
d) jmf.propertiesThe jmf and fobs4jmf jars are added to the classpath
We have tried the following to no avail:
a) adding the "libfobs4jmf.jnilib" file to a /lib directory in the project space
b) adding the "libfobs4jmf.jnilib" to "Contents/Resources/Java"
We thought it may have been a 64bit issue, so we copies the jmstudio executable to our project workspace, executed it and we are able to play video files without any problems. Therefore, it's a problem with our setup.
Our versions are listed below:
Eclipse 3.3.1
JRE 1.6.0
Mac OS 10.5, 64bit (although it was also tried on OS 10 32bit to no avail)
Fobs4JMF 0.4.1
JMF 2.1.1e

Stanford UniversityHi Captfoss,
Thanks for your help.
We've figured it out. Fobs4JMF 0.4.1 is compiled in Java 5 for 32bit. Once we compiled in Java 5, it began to work. Repeat: do not use Fobs4JMF on a 64bit mac running Java 6, it will require a 64bit native library. The provided jnilib is in 32bit!
Here was out directory structure:
/gemident.jar
/jmf.properties
/libfobs4jmf.jnilib
/lib/jmf.jar
/lib/fobs4jmf.jarAnd our manifest.mf:
Manifest-Version: 1.0
Main-Class: GemIdentOperations.Run
Class-Path: lib/jmf.jar lib lib/fobs4jmf.jarWe can execute with the following:
java -Xmx1400m -jar gemident.jarThere is no need for any "Djava.library.path" or "LD_LIBRARY_PATH" - it should just work

Hello,
After trying to change my printer settings on CUPS administrator area to allow to share my wirelless printer to my VirtualBox environment (somehow virtualbox doesn't detect my wirelless printer) I notice that this area stop to work. After it I try to update the CUPS by installing a new version. I admint that I am a newby in unix environment and I downloaded the CUPS v1.6.1 and installed through the terminal,
./configure
sudo make
make install
After restarting apple site no longer opened like also my home page. Other programs also stopped working and always warn about the same error described bellow. I posted my last try which was reinstall my system Snow Leopard (Mac OS X 10.6.8). Does anyone deal with this problem before? How can I reinstall at least the operation system or just fixing this library will solve the problem?
Note: The reason of using virtualbox is that I need to use a prescribed software that only works in windows environment and since I need to make work in other places the wireless printing is the only viable way to do this.

I had the same problem with my Mac OSX System 10.8.4 after update cups from 1.6.2 to 1.6.3.
I have a MacBookPro with the same system version and copy the libcups.2.dylib file form /usr/lib/ then replace the error file in my other Mac.
1. Install cups 1.6.2 again
2. Replace the file libcups.2.dylib in /usr/lib/ directory with this one libcups.2.dylib
Note: I added the link if you dont have an other mac in the same version available.
This works for me. -
I get an error message that says "Dyld error Message: Library not loaded @rpath/ilifeslideshowcore.framework/versions/a/ilifeslideshowcore" the reason: image not found
Anyone have any idea how to fix this problem. I have reloaded the software from the original disk and have downloaded the latest update and still get the same error.Did you delete all receipts with iDVD in the file name with either a .PKG or .BOM extension that reside in the HD/Library/Receipts folder and from the /var/db/receipts/ folder before installing the new copy? If not then do so and delete the new application also.
Then install iPhoto from the disk it came on originally and apply all necessary updaters: Apple - Support - Downloads

Iphoto wont open - library not loaded
I recently had an issue where both Aperture and iphoto couldn't load, the message said "iphoto cannot be opened because of a problem" and then I got the error message below. It didn't even load the app, but bounce it once and then post the error message
Had a poke around, but cant for the life of me figure out why it cant see the Library. I have repaired permissions and tried others, but still not working.
Am i missing something really simple?
Thanks in advance

Try re-install iPhoto
To re-install iPhoto
1. Put the iPhoto.app in the trash (Drag it from your Applications Folder to the trash)
2a: On 10.5: Go to HD/Library/Receipts and remove any pkg file there with iPhoto in the name.
2b: On 10.6: Those receipts may be found as follows: In the Finder use the Go menu and select Go To Folder. In the resulting window type
/var/db/receipts/
A Finder Window will open at that location and you can remove the iPhoto pkg files.
3. Re-install.
If you purchased an iLife Disk, then iPhoto is on it.
If iPhoto was installed on your Mac when you go it then it’s on the System Restore disks that came with your Mac. Insert the first one and opt to ‘Install Bundled Applications Only.
If you purchased it on the App Store you can find it in your Purchases List.
If that doesn't help you need to reinstall the OS

Error message "Library not loaded"
I had a new (and larger) disk drive installed in my MacBook Pro, and all the files were copied over. Yet, when I try to open iPhoto, it gives error message that library is not loaded and it will not open (full error msg below). Yet, when I go to the Pictures folder, the iPhoto library is right there. I tried getting rid of the preferences file and that did not help me start up iPhoto. I was also not able to start up iPhoto with the option key so I could reconnect the library.
Suggestions would be welcomed.

IPhoto '11 refuses to open, error library not loaded
Downloaded upgrade to iPhoto 9.2.1. Upon opening, get this message:
Dyld Error Message:

/Library/Frameworks/NyxAudioAnalysis.framework/Versions/A/NyxAudioAnalysis : mach-o, but wrong architecture
Deleted, reinstalled, even reinstalled Lion 10.7.2, no difference.
Any ideas how to fix this?Did you trash the receipts before reinstalling?
To re-install iPhoto
1. Put the iPhoto.app in the trash (Drag it from your Applications Folder to the trash)
2a: On 10.5: Go to HD/Library/Receipts and remove any pkg file there with iPhoto in the name.
2b: On 10.6: Those receipts may be found as follows: In the Finder use the Go menu and select Go To Folder. In the resulting window type
/var/db/receipts/
2c: on 10.7 they're at
/private/var/db/receipts
A Finder Window will open at that location and you can remove the iPhoto pkg files.
3. Re-install.
If you purchased an iLife Disk, then iPhoto is on it.
If iPhoto was installed on your Mac when you go it then it’s on the System Restore disks that came with your Mac. Insert the first one and opt to ‘Install Bundled Applications Only.
If you purchased it on the App Store you can find it in your Purchases List. -
Getting this error on iPhoto open it refers to iLifeSlideShow and iPhoto quits - or doesn't open.

I am having problems with this machine, power supply, fan cooling or ?? and need to monitor CPU activity as I increase activity
on the CPU's. Activity Monitor v 1.5 (54), Tiger v10.4.11, works as expected. Just the problem with Leopard 10.5.8.
Thanks,
JohnSounds like maybe the graphic card and/or heat.
Get Temperature Monitor to see if it's heat related...

iStat Menus...

And/or iStat Pro...

If you have any temps in the 70°C/160°F range, that's likely it.
10.5 uses the Graphic card alot more.
One way to test is to Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, Test for problem in Safe Mode...
PS. Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive
Reboot, test again.
If it only does it in Regular Boot, then it could be some hardware problem like Video card, (Quartz is turned off in Safe Mode), or Airport, or 3rd party add-on, Check System Preferences>Accounts>Login Items window to see if it or something relevant is listed.
Check the System Preferences>Other Row, for 3rd party Pref Panes.
Also look in these if they exist, some are invisible...
