Import/Export in back stage view

What is the use of import/Export in back stage view of customize ribbon and Quick access toolbar

Shiv --
Pardon me for bumping into this thread.  Here is a scenario that might answer your question:
You create a customized ribbon and Quick Access Toolbar.  Your ribbon has a new tab called Initiate which contains the commands you use to initiate a new project, such as setting the Start date of the project, setting the Project and Nonworking Time
calendars, etc.  Your customized Quick Access Toolbar contains the buttons you most frequently use, such as Zoom In, Zoom, Out, Scroll to Task, etc.
A fellow PM sees how you have customized the ribbon and Quick Access Toolbar in your copy of Microsoft Project and asks if you would give him/her the customizations.
You navigate to the Backstage and export your ribbon and Quick Access Toolbar customizations to an *.exportedUI file and you e-mail the customization file to your fellow PM.
Your fellow PM launches Microsoft Project, navigates to the Backstage, walks through the import process, and imports the ribbon and Quick Access Toolbar customizations from the customization file you sent him/her.
As Guillaume correctly points out, this is how to transfer ribbon and Quick Access Toolbar customizations from one computer to another, or from one user to another.  One of the things I have done since Microsoft released the 2010 version Microsoft Project
is to give my students a customization file that has customizations they can use in the real world with their ribbon and Quick Access Toolbar.  The export/import process is very easy, and very useful.  Hope this extra helps.

  • SAP HANA: IMPORT/EXPORT Views

    We can Import/export tables using hdbsql CLI.
    But Is there any way by which we can export/import Views(attribute,analytic,calculation) using hdbsql CLI.
    I raised above question some days back
    SAP HANA: IMPORT/EXPORT Views | SCN
    Also while checking on internet I found another link for the same issue:
    http://scn.sap.com/thread/2141404
    And from experts answers, I came to conclusion that Import/Export Views(Attribute/Analytic/Calculation views)in SAP HANA is not possible through hdbsql CLI/ SQL commands.Now Is there a way where I can confirm this from SAP HANA program management guys?

    Lars,
    Thanks for the explanation.
    What I am trying to achieve is to create an automate script which should export all tables and views for a schema and again import tables and views in a different schema.
    table part is done, But stuck in view part.
    I tried the below command and was able to export the calculation view which I created in Content and exists as
    _SYS_BIC-->Package(same name as schema where all the tables are stored) --> View Name.
    Command used was:
    EXPORT  "<Schema_Name>"."<Package_Name>/<View_Name>"  INTO '<path>'
    Now I have 2 ques :
    1) I am not sure how to import this exported view. I tried below command but it failed:
    IMPORT  "<Schema_Name>"."<Package_Name>/<View_Name>"  FROM '<path>'
    2) Not sure how to export and import all the views.
    I did IMPORT SCAN of the path as well and found below entries for the exported view in the mentioned path:
    SCHEMA_NAME, OBJECT_NAME, OBJECT_TYPE, EXISTS
    "_SYS_BIC", "<Packagename>/CalculationViewName>", "VIEW", 1
    "_SYS_BIC", "<Packagename>/AnalyticViewName>", "VIEW", 1
    "_SYS_BIC", "<Packagename>/CalculationViewName>/olap", "VIEW", 1
    "_SYS_BIC", "vwTile1ALLData", "VIEW", 1
    Any Inputs would definitely help. Thanks.

  • How do I export photos back onto a camera SD card? I have created a desktop file for photos and SD card in Finder, dragged photos to card, but when I try to view them in the camera, it says "No valid photo to display"

    How do I export photos back onto a camera SD card? I have created desktop files for the photos and the card, dragged photos to the card, but when I replace card in camera, it says "No valid photo to display". I just need to get some prints made and have been struggling with this for hours. Thank you.

    No one can help you any more than has been done
    Your camera is not a general purpuose photo display system - it is designed to take photos, let you look at those photos and allow you to download them to your computer or other places - if you wnat to use it view photos then you have to put the photos in exactly the correct place with exactly the correct names or it will not see them
    And this has absolutely nothing to do with iPhoto in any way - iPhoto sotres and proecesses yoru photos and allows you to export them - once you export them it is totally out of the picture - you can easily get photo prints by using the iPhoto print service, using an internet print service, burning photos to a DVD and taking them to a print service or putting them on a SD card and taking them to a print service - to view them on your camera you have to exactly reporduce what the camera is looking for - not at all sure what the pirnt even is

    Not a chance, unless you purchase one second-hand (make sure you get the original disc). Adobe generally discontinue sales of previous versions when a new one is released.

  • Aperture locks up on import/export after Mavericks

    Since I upgraded to Mavericks and the corresponding version of Aperture, I have gotten persistent Aperture lockups. When I say "lockups" I mean the spinning beachball of death, and I have to force quit the "not responding" Aperture.
    I've tried command-option launching Aperture and repairing or rebuilding the database.
    I've tried safe booting, and creating a new user and a "clean" account.
    Importing: I can import files from my camera's memory card. However, if I try to select a folder of images on my desktop, it locks up. The folder contains nothing but JPEGs.
    Exporting: I've been able to export images. I've had lockups when trying to export MOVs. I also had a lockup when trying to "consolidate originals" so I could migrate all of my images out of Aperture and into Lightroom.
    I have tried various search terms in Google to see if this is a known problem but haven't found anything that seems to be import/export specific, or that can't be fixed with a database rebuild.
    Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    Barring any solutions to this problem, my workaround was as follows:
    Open Aperture Library via "View Package Contents" in Finder
    Pull all of my files out.
    Use Lightroom instead
    I lost all of my albums and project organization, and Aperture adjustments of course, but at least I have my photos back.

  • Importing XML Data Back into the Form

    I have a form that shows several subforms based on the selections the user has made while filling in the form. This is working quite well but when I import the XML data back into the form it doesn't show the subforms that have been used.
    Is there an easy way to change this?
    Thanks in advance!
    Emma

    Actually the issue may actually have to do with the fact that the connections aren't bound, but I haven't seen the data.
    I have some fairly complex forms that include both subforms and instances, have an XSD embedded and export as XML. When I import the data, everythi
    Now, that being said...
    Are your subforms "hidden" and you opt to display them upon selection of a radio button for example, or do you SetInstances()? If you're using visible=TRUE or FALSE, that may also cause some issues.
    Try this -- on Form:ready try this code:
    if(this.rawValue == "on"){ //this radio button 1
    _subform1.setInstances(1);
    _subform2.setInstances(0);
    _subform3.setInstances(0);
    else if(this.rawValue == "on"){ //this radio button 1
    _subform1.setInstances(0);
    _subform2.setInstances(1);
    _subform3.setInstances(0);
    else if(this.rawValue == "on"){ //this radio button 1
    _subform1.setInstances(0);
    _subform2.setInstances(0);
    _subform3.setInstances(1);
    else { // this is fisrt time open -- i sometimes had issues with subforms being visible on first entry
    _subform1.setInstances(0);
    _subform2.setInstances(0);
    _subform3.setInstances(0);
    Then on:Click essentially copy most of the code you put in form:ready
    if(this.rawValue == "on"){ //this radio button 1
    _subform1.setInstances(1);
    _subform2.setInstances(0);
    _subform3.setInstances(0);
    else if(this.rawValue == "on"){ //this radio button 1
    _subform1.setInstances(0);
    _subform2.setInstances(1);
    _subform3.setInstances(0);
    else if(this.rawValue == "on"){ //this radio button 1
    _subform1.setInstances(0);
    _subform2.setInstances(0);
    _subform3.setInstances(1);
    Of course this will go on top of your radio button group.
    If you are exporting to XML, it will make your life a whole lot easier, by the way, to import an XSD and bind your nodes, especially as your forms and data start to get more complex.
    Finally, you may also know this but -- unless you have Forms Server, any user that wants to export the data or import the data will need to have at least full Acrobat Professional. If you want people to be able to save data in the form but import/export isn't that important, they will need to have full Acrobat.
    I hope that helps a bit. Good luck!

  • ABAP command IMPORT/EXPORT

    Hi!
    I would like to know whats the replacement for the IMPORT and export commands used in 4.7c  in ECC6. Can anyone tell me whats the replacement commands for import and export command that is used in abap/4 4.7c for ECC6.
    Thanks

    Hi Aarav,
    there is nothing like replacement for import/export.there is another statements to transferdata which are Set/Get.
    when you are working with sap you have sessions.so in between session if you want to transfer data then you will use set/get parameters.import/export are used within the session.means you opened se38 and written a program and then go back to se38 initial screen and entered another program name and in that program you want the data which is in the previous program you have written in the se38 in same session.
    reward points if helpful.

  • Application import/export failing, hopefully a simple one though

    hi all,
    i'm very new to oracle and am trying to get going with xe. i'm working between work and home and want to be able to transport wherever i'm at to work/home - so i thought the application import/export function would be the best way? first of all, is it?
    if so - i keep getting the
    failed to parse SQL query:
    ORA-00942: table or view does not exist
    error
    i'm running the same versions of oracle, on the same platforms (Application Express 2.1.0.00.39, winXPpro all service packed up). both my users have dba roles and the apps work fine on the machines i created them on. the import and install processes claim to be successful and the error only comes up when i try to log in to the application. any ideas?
    btw - the apps are just simple tests, dependences etc with a couple rows in each table]
    any help be much appreciated even if its "go read this!" as i've googled away & got not much....
    cheers!

    Your problem is likely that in your office you do not have the tables required by your program. The export does not include your tables. You have to create them yourselves

  • Regarding Workflow 2.6.2 backup/migration/import/export

    hi folks. i m quite amazed that this forum does not provide any answer to the question of taking backup of workflow 2.6.2 or import/export of owf_mgr schema. if one cannot take backup how this oracle workflow is stable. how this product is suitable for any organization. its a very basic requirement. ok its about processes and states.... but, even then i cant get the logic of not taking a backup. sometime we have to move data across servers
    the only answer that i have seen for this is way back jan-09-2003 that its not possible yet. its now 2006 any one who can guide may be i got something or many a things wrong.

    hi folks,
    thanks for reply
    Matt: considering ur statment para what i get for para 1
    Full backup is fine - although there are some objects which are owned by SYS, as long as youare going from one database with WF installed to another one, you should be OK.
    is
    what i understand that u are talking about taking backup of entire database and not of just owf_mgr from export utility. if this is the case then do i really need to have owf_mgr user/schema installed where i have to import that backup
    Secondly for Para 2
    Runtime data is a different thing altogether, although I can't really see why you would want to migrate the runtime data from one DB to another.
    what i get from ur description of Runtime data here, is about the data that represents different process states relavant data which is stored and maintained in different tables. Am I Right?
    if the answer is yes then the answer to ur question (asked in the last line of ur statment) is that i dont want only runtime data to be exported rather i wanna export full user and its schema. and the reason from moving it from one server to another server is simply to have backup for the time of system crash or failiure
    I am keenly anticipating ur reply

  • Eif import/export in 11g

    Hi All,
    I exported my analytic workspace into an eif file and imported into another analytic workspace. The Analytic workspace that I imported into had already built in dimensions and cubes. Before I import eif file I deleted Analytic workspace using AWM and then imported. Import succeeded without any errors so when I import what happens to the views that AWM created automatically in my imported Analytic workspace. How can I enforce drop old dimension/cube views and create new views from my eif file? because in my case my schema still had old views from old AW objects instead of creating views from eif file.
    The problem I noticed was when I tried to refresh cubes using DBMS_CUBE package. I was getting following error as my build referring views from my old cube.
    ORA-37162: OLAP error
    XOQ-01707: Oracle job "JOB$_1132" failed while executing slave build "TEST_AW.TEST USING (LOAD NO SYNCH, SOLVE) AS OF SCN 2299502303986" with error "37162: ORA-37162: OLAP error
    ORA-36810: Analytic workspace object TEST_AW.TEST_AW!MY_OBJECT_ID_L3 does not exist.
    ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_CUBE", line 236
    ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_CUBE", line 305
    ORA-06512: at line 1
    Here object TEST_AW.TEST_AW!MY_OBJECT_ID_L3 belongs to old cube which I removed in my new AW. How can I force my build to look at new SCN?
    Thanks
    Dileep.

    Dileep,
    This sounds like
    BUG 9761434 - KGL OBJECTS NOT FLUSHED FROM ALL EXADATA NODES DURING AW DELETE OPERATION
    The basic problem is that the old definition of the AW gets kept in the 'shared pool', also known as 'kgl', of a RAC node after the AW is deleted. If you immediately create an AW with the same name in another RAC node, then the system can get confused. The workaround is to issue
    alter system flush shared_pool;in all RAC nodes.

  • Import/Export wizard auto-generates all columns as DATE

    Hi
    I'm trying to use the Import/Export Wizard as I used to, as a handy tool to figure out what a series of T-SQL statements (in an SSIS package) is doing - or, if I'm lucky, what on earth the original dev
    intended them to do.
    Version: SQL 2014 64-bit running on Win 7 64-bit
    The code is pretty dreadful:
    SELECT DISTINCT on one set of column names,
    join this set to another table but not on exactly the same set of column names,
    embedded (SELECT MAX(bla) FROM SameTable WHERE [match to outer set on another set of columns] GROUP BY [hey, yet another set of columns!]) inside the SELECT column list...
    and it all goes to a nasty #Tmp, which is then abused with further bad code further down.
    Imp/Exp is always handy to quickly get the intermediate results into an auto-created real table, so I can figure out exactly what the effect of this is.  I use it to export from the database back to the same database, but to a persisted table.
    This time (first time with SQL2014) it's not working.  The source is "write a query" (paste the actual query).  The destination I set to a new table.  The auto-generation of the new table creates every column as type
    date.  Not surprisingly, this doesn't work, as the original data is mostly not of
    date time.
    Looks like a bug.  Any idea of a workaround or fix?
    thanks!

    Sorry, but I think you're still not getting what I'm saying.
    This is not a production SSIS package design, but a quick'n'nasty diagnosis technique I'm used to using:
    - Find some SQL in an existing query/script that I'm trying to debug
    - Paste it into Import/Export wizard as a source
    - Wizard creates a new table for the result - I then have the results persisted for examination, comparison with the results from refactored code, etc.
    And I can't even put suitable CAST/CONVERT statements in, because the wizard is mis-identifying the
    input column data types, with no way to change them.   It's somehow thinking that every column in the input (the SQL query) is of type
    date(500), when the columns are obviously not of this type.

  • Questions on Import/Export Personalizations

    Hi,
    We are on 11.5.10 CU3. We have dozens of personalizations in Dev. I understand that Functional Administrator Import/Export tool can be used to transfer them from Dev to production. I am facing some issues when I try that.
    1. I exported a personalization in Dev to the same instance java/custom. It created the directory structure java/custom..../site/0/ReqSummaryPG.
    2. I imported it back. This was successful.
    3. I re-imported it. It failed without an explanation for the failure. What could be the reason? Doesn't it just overrite the previous import - like when importing substituions?
    4. I copied the custom/..../site/0 to another instance and imported it there. It was successful. However I could not see the personalizations.
    5. So I checked. I realized that the directory structure was wrong. It was java/custom/apps/..../site/0
    instead of java/custom/oracle/apps/..../site/0.
    6. So I corrected the directories and re-imported. Failure like 3 above. I thought it was because of duplicate records. So i did the query select * from jdr_paths where PATH_NAME like '%ReqSummaryPG%'. I got only one record which was the seeded record. So eventhough 4 was successful there is only one record. Why?
    Do I have to bounce Apache for each separate import of the same document?
    Is there documentation on this utility with best practices? I see in the forum that no-one could successfully make this utility work.
    Any help would be appreciated. I thought this was a simple utility ...
    Thanks
    Sandeep

    Well this worked the next day! I reimported ReqSummaryPG again and it worked. I believe a few Apache bounces took place inbetween.
    We were able to export/import quite a few personalizations. However, we got it right the first time this time around
    I am still interested in knowing why a second consecutive import of the same doc doesn't work? And how to make it work? This would help in resolving issues in case of mishaps. Appreciate it if someone can provide an explanation.
    Thanks
    Sandeep

  • Import & Export of VMs.

    If i import a VM from one forest and export it to other forest then how virtual switch and DHCP work for this?

    Hello Pawan,
    You can import/export from any forest to a different forest without any issue.
    The only thing that you want to pay attention is the Virtual Switch name.
    When you import the VM on the other forest, and Hyper-V detects that you don't have the Virtual Switch name, it will prompt you with error during the import process, then you can fix the issue and choose the existing vSwitch name and everything
    should back to normal.
    As for the VM hardware configuration, for example, if the VM was running on the former forest with 16 vCPUs and 16GB of RAMs, and then you import the VM on a host with less available resources E.g: 4 physical cores(8 logical), you will have compatibility
    issues during the import process, then you need to adjust these settings to match the new host.
    As for the vNIC, if you have another DHCP server in the latter forest, it will grab a new IP Address without any problem, and if the vNIC was set to Dynamic, it will get a new MAC address based on the Host MAC Address Range.
    Turn on the VM and you are good to go!
    Hope this help.

  • Import/Export from Excel ?

    Many revisions of Nokia PC Suite ago, using my PC I used to be able to import my phones address book to a .CSV file...open it in Excel....tidy it up neatly using Excel....save it as a .CSV file...and then export it back to my phone.
    I've been without a Nokia for a while now for corporate reasons, but am now back and want to do it again.
    That functionality doesnt appear to be there in the new version pf PC Suite. Can anyone confirm whether it is possible, or whether I can still get hold of an early version do what I want ?
    Any help will be gratefully received.
    Thanks, Si

    I don't know if this will help but I've just successfully managed to import old SMS messages created with a Samsung phone, into my new Nokia X6 I'm would imagine that it will work with contacts too (?) What I did was this:
    1 - Using the other phone's software, I exported the info into an Excel file.
    2- Using PC Suite, I then exported one single message to a CSV file and noted the layout: It seems to be that there are hidden attributes in the file that are particular to Nokia, so the key was to use this file as a template rather that trying to mimic it with the first Samsung xls sheet.
    3 - In this Samsung sheet I changed the date/hour format to match Nokia's by using the Windows Regional and Language options in Control Panel - noting that the seperator was a dot, hence: YYYY.MM.DD HH.MM (There are no 'seconds')
    4 - Going back to the Nokia Excel 'template', by dragging the cell information down to the number of SMS's I wanted to import PLUS 1 , I copied the info down for columns A, B, C and F. This seemed to keep the hidden information that lies in row 1.
    5 - Then I simply copied and pasted the date/time information into row 2, to the bottom of the required rows, and then did exactly the same with the SMS messages.
    6 - I then saved this as a CSV file and imported it back via PC Suite into my phone.
    Hey presto - it worked !!
    In my case they were all messages from the same number but if that wasn't the case, I would have copied and pasted that information in too and I don't see how it wouldn't have worked.
    So - to sum up - the important Excel information is carried in row 1 - so keep it there !
    Good luck !
