  • Import/Export between different Portal versions

Hi, is there any resonable argument for not allowing imp/exp between different version? The thing is a developed a Page Group on a 9i AS and now need to export it to a 10g AS. It reasonable to think that an imp/exp machanism should exist, at least, for the latest version.

    Hi there,
Yes, there is a reasonable argument for that and that is that the export code will be different from the import code. This means that alterations to the code in order to be more flexible or to even fix an issue, for example, on the export won't be in-place. Now when you'll try to import with the different code this certainly will clash your system (as the problem may already be within the DMP file that you've exported).
Although your request does make sense the implementation part is not that easy to be done.
I hope it helps you to better understand the constraints...
    Cheers,
    Pedro.

  • Help Import Export between different database interfaces ODI

    Good morning!
I am new to ODI and would like to help me in the following doubts: I'm developing some interfaces in a database tests, it logically all my configuration connection is that bank.
When I import the interfaces in a database production, with another connection, I must reconfigure them totally, almost remaking them again? Or import, they automatically adjust?
    I thank you
    Emerson Formisano

    Hi  Emerson,
I didn't get your point clearly.
Please write in a proper statement.
However I am telling you some checks and steps to export import.
1> Before importing the interface please check all the source and target data stores are present in the deployment environment (where you are going to import)
2> If not there Import the data stores first.
3> data source should be physically present in DB (in case of table)
4> If your data stores and KMs are available then you don't have to make the interfaces newly
    Thanks

  • Media Encoder export a different font from the project file

    HI
Media Encoder export a different font from the project file when I use a installed font
The problem doesn't occur when exporting directly from Premiere
    Any ides why?
    Thanks

Hi! This also happened to me quite a few times with different fonts. Your fix worked, thank you. I don't think it's the font since, like I said, it happened with a few fonts, but just in case I was using Mf Young & Beautiful in TTF format.
Are there any side effects to turning off "import sequences natively"?

  • Export then Import to a different Hyper-V server

In http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/winserverhyperv/thread/85dc7d36-491f-4b02-88ac-63c1ed0d94db I described a problem when exporting from a Hyper-V server and trying to import into a different Hyper-V server in a different domain. The import failed and the event log contained:
Failed to import the virtual machine from import directory 'D:\HV\Test\Test4GB-3\'. Error: One or more arguments are invalid(0x80070057)Well I've now identified the source of the problem. In the .exp file is:
    <INSTANCE
      CLASSNAME="Msvm_VirtualSystemGlobalSettingData">
      <PROPERTY NAME="ScopeOfResidence" TYPE="string">
        <VALUE>
          e7668fbc-216e-4ed1-8ce3-3b932b42e22b
        </VALUE>
      </PROPERTY>
If I edit the .exp file and delete the <value>..</value> then the virtual machine imports with no errors.
Looks like a Hyper-V bug to me!
    JR

We are not planning to fix this for Windows 2008 at the moment - as SCVMM work around the problem when they move virtual machines (they remove the scope section just like you have done here).  But here is a handy VBScript that you can run on a Hyper-V server that will go through and nuke all the scopes (do not use this if you are still using SCVMM) so you can export and import happily (note that you need to run this before exporting):
    Option Explicit
    Dim WMIService
    Dim VMList
    Dim VM
    Dim VMSystemGlobalSettingData
    Dim VMManagementService
    Dim Result
'Get instance of 'virtualization' WMI service on the local computer
    Set WMIService = GetObject("winmgmts:\\.\root\virtualization")
    'Get a VMManagementService object
    Set VMManagementService = WMIService.ExecQuery("SELECT * FROM Msvm_VirtualSystemManagementService").ItemIndex(0)
    'Get all the MSVM_ComputerSystem object
    Set VMList = WMIService.ExecQuery("SELECT * FROM Msvm_ComputerSystem")
    For Each VM In VMList
if VM.Caption = "Virtual Machine" then
           Set VMSystemGlobalSettingData = (VM.Associators_("MSVM_ElementSettingData", "Msvm_VirtualSystemGlobalSettingData")).ItemIndex(0)
           VMSystemGlobalSettingData.ScopeOfResidence = ""
           Result = VMManagementService.ModifyVirtualSystem(VM.Path_.Path, VMSystemGlobalSettingData.GetText_(1))
        end if
    Next

  • Export and import XI are different

I have seen a similar message in this forum but it does not apply to my scenario. I have exhausted all avenues and SAP has not responded to my customer message so I am hoping someone has seen this error. Hi,
unfortunately i can't help you with your CMS problem, however if SAP has not responded to your OSS message, why don't you escalate it? In OSS Note 560499 you can find the phone number of the support hotline and they will be able to find a processor and speed up the processing of your message.
    regards

  • Exporting to Media Encoder crashes Premiere Pro CC 2014

    Greetings,
I am experiencing a problem with premiere off and on. Right now it is an on problem. When I am exporting from Premiere Pro CC (and CC 2014) it will intermittently crash Premiere. I have tried this with several different audio and video formats (AVI [Lagarith and uncompressed], WAV, H.264, MPG2, AAC, etc). At the moment, every time I go to export to queue it locks up and hangs on the "Preparing data for export..." Media Encoder Launches and then it just freezes. I get "Problem Even Name: AppHangB1" over and over. Sometimes a full restart will fix this temporarily and sometimes it goes away for a long while. I managed to get a few sequences exported and then it just kept freezing on every PP CC restart.
    Here are my system specs:
Premiere Pro CC (up to date)
Win 7 64bit (up to date)
    i7 970
    24GB Ram
NVIDIA 470GTX (driver up to date)
    3 x 1.5TB internal
    4TB internal
    3TB internal
    12TB RAID 5 via USB 3.0
    USB 2.0 and 3.0 drives
FireWire audio device (M-AUDIO FireWire1814)... although, I am not using it for playback. It is connected.
Footage is from C100 H.264 .MTS, H.264.mov from 7D, and H.264 .MOV from iPhone.
All stock video plugins with a few third party audio plugs.
This problem happens with and without third party plugs, but it happens that this project uses them.
I have chatted with Adobe help twice about the matter and nothing has come of it. Log out, log in = same. Restart = same (sometimes), create new user account = same, and so on. The only thing I haven't done is completely re-install premiere, which seems a bit overkill. One of the reps said he would get back to me in a few days after he watched the issue via screen share. Never heard back.
I get the sense that this has something to do with PProHeadless.exe not launching or not running properly. When the crash happens on a fresh restart of PP CC 2014 PProHeadless is not running. I can start PProHeadless and it will send sequence to media encoder. When I try to export another sequence from the same project it crashes and I see another instance of PProHeadless launched.
Also, once the projects are exported to Media Encoder, I can encode them to any format with no problem. The problem is getting the sequences there!
Is there anything that I am overlooking here?
    Thanks for the help!

    Hi
    Premiere pro cc 2014  8.0.1 (21) build
    Encoder CC 2014 8.0.1.48
I use CC for Teams so it updates all the time.
Again when I tried to use it today by letting premiere open it by sending an output into Queue it crashed both Encoder and Premiere.
In order to shut down Encoder and Premiere I had to go into Task Manager and "End Process Tree" on everything adobe I could find because just ending Encoder did not work it would not close. I remembered that years ago when Premiere would crash we had to end a photoshop process. I found photoshop open even though it was not "alive" on my task bar. I had used it yesterday but had closed it. I also had to close dynamiclinkmanager.exe *32 as well as one of the three Adobe CDF Helper.exe*32. They popped back on but Encode closed and then I got a message that Premiere needed to close and did when I clicked the button to let it close.
After all this I re-opened Encoder by itself and checked the Preferences finding that Import Sequences Natively option was again checked.
By the way for me, "Launch AME manually, then drag the sequence from PPro's Project panel to AME's Queue (or to a preset in the Preset Browser). That uses a different code path than the File>Export>Media workflow." won't work most of the time because I do live events of panel interviews that may run 2 or more hours. I need to break them down to chapters for the web
Also I know this isn't part of this problem but I and many others would still love dynamiclink to work to Encore because the DVD is not dead yet. The current work path is a drag.
Looks like some programers and engineers have some work to do.
    Thanks
    Dennis
    My computer:
Self built PC windows 7 Professional 64 bit Build 7601 SP 1 I use auto update so it is up to date.

    Installed Memory  12 GB

  • How do I export on Media Encoder CC and play on Premiere Pro CC without affecting the export?

I can export on media encoder and play on Premiere at the same time if I save my project > Close premiere pro > open Media encoder > import premiere pro sequence > start export > and open my project on premiere again.
But I`m having some issues with the playback quality (sometimes it stop and the audio starts getting out of sync), and the export gets slow.
Is there anything I can do to export and play at the same time?
I need the full quality of preview.
    Working with codecs XDCAM HD 422 and ProRes 422 on Mac Os X 10.7.5 (2 X 2.66 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon) wiht 24GB 1066 DDR3 RAM
    Hope u guys can help.

You can just queue up the export right from PP, start the encode and then go back to PP to continue working.  No need to close anything.
Doing this will slow down the export process, as PP will steal whatever resources it needs to run, often pausing AME to do so.

  • Regarding Workflow 2.6.2 backup/migration/import/export

hi folks. i m quite amazed that this forum does not provide any answer to the question of taking backup of workflow 2.6.2 or import/export of owf_mgr schema. if one cannot take backup how this oracle workflow is stable. how this product is suitable for any organization. its a very basic requirement. ok its about processes and states.... but, even then i cant get the logic of not taking a backup. sometime we have to move data across servers
the only answer that i have seen for this is way back jan-09-2003 that its not possible yet. its now 2006 any one who can guide may be i got something or many a things wrong.

    hi folks,
    thanks for reply
Matt: considering ur statment para what i get for para 1
Full backup is fine - although there are some objects which are owned by SYS, as long as youare going from one database with WF installed to another one, you should be OK.
    is
what i understand that u are talking about taking backup of entire database and not of just owf_mgr from export utility. if this is the case then do i really need to have owf_mgr user/schema installed where i have to import that backup
    Secondly for Para 2
Runtime data is a different thing altogether, although I can't really see why you would want to migrate the runtime data from one DB to another.
what i get from ur description of Runtime data here, is about the data that represents different process states relavant data which is stored and maintained in different tables. Am I Right?
if the answer is yes then the answer to ur question (asked in the last line of ur statment) is that i dont want only runtime data to be exported rather i wanna export full user and its schema. and the reason from moving it from one server to another server is simply to have backup for the time of system crash or failiure
I am keenly anticipating ur reply

  • Using XML Import/Export in Transport Connection

Hi, I was investigating the feasibility of copying a query definition from one BW system to another using the XML Import/Export functionality in Transport Connection.  This is not to replace our current transport process across the landscape (Dev -> QA -> Prod), but merely just looking at possibilities for end users who develop queries in QA & then recreate them in Prod.
My question is: has anyone worked with the XML Export/Import for types Queries & Query Elements?  I was trying this out between a Dev and Sandbox system and only had limited success.  I was able to take a small query and perform the Export to a local .xml file without much difficulty.  But when I try to do the Import, my query never shows up.  The Import function shows a green light, but I get a couple of error messages on the Import such as the following:
    ==========================================================
SAP object 3WROG4HZ3NKP1PIYHCR1H24CQ () cannot be imported
    Diagnosis
You attempted to import SAP object 3WROG4HZ3NKP1PIYHCR1H24CQ of type into the system via the XMI interface. However, you are not allowed to import SAP objects.
    System response
The object was ignored during the import.
Note: It can be that the import is incomplete when the required SAP objects are still not active in the system.
    Procedure
Install the specified objects from Business Content. Only import the metadata afterwards.
    =========================================================
The portion returned for Saving and Activating returns green lights.  The two sample objects mentioned appear to just be custom InfoObjects used in my query & don't look to be any different than others that work OK.
Just curious if anyone else has worked with this and could help advise.
    Thanks...  Jody

This is an old subject, but I think XML import only works for datamodeling objects like InfoObjects, InfoCubes, and ODS objects. If you try to export a query, and open the XML file in a text editor, there is not enough information (in my opinion) to build the query. As an example you don't see how key figures are to be displayed, filter or free characteristics.
However, when an InfoObject is collected, you get all the attributes, texts in all languages.
If anyone has more insight, please enlighten us.

  • Clips exported with Media Encoder from AE are choppy (CS6)

    Hi!
I'm using Media Encoder (6.0.3.1) to export clips from AE (11.0.4.2) so that I can work with them in PPro (6.0.5).
In Media Encoder I go to add AE composition and I've tried the YouTube HD 1080p 25 and the Broadcast HD 1080p 25 presets (the latter creates a much bigger file but I don't think the file size is the issue - for example, the biggest clip of approx. 1 mintute is 276MB).
The curious thing is that most of the clips that are exported are fine, i.e. they play back fine - the problem is that some of the clips go slow or choppy towards the end of the clip. So the last couple of seconds will be choppy. It basically looks like the frame rate isn't quite right.
Once exported from Media Encoder, I import them into PPro to do some more work - the problem with the clips is apparent when I play the original file in VLC (for example) or in PPro. So it seems like the problem occurs during the export from AE. When I export the video containing the AE clips from PPro the problem is obviously still there (wishful thinking on my part). I use AE just for keying and making some basic titles, nothing massively complex.
I had some problems with RAM preview in AE before, in other words, it wasn't playing the clips back in realtime and the exported clips with the problem look exactly like that (i.e. looks like the frame rate isn't right). I deactivated Enable Disk Cache in AE (Multiprocessing was already deactivated) and now I can play back clips ok in AE using RAM preview - even the ones that go choppy towards the end when they are exported with Media Encoder play back fine in AE.
Could Media Encoder be going back to some previous render files saved somewhere on my system and could that cause some of the exported clips to go choppy?
I'm new to Adobe so I'm just guessing here and I don't want to go about and delete stuff that might not have anything to do with this problem. As I've adopted the computer I'm working on from my predecessor and it's had several users since, the system is a bit of a mess and there are files all over the place. Empting the Disk Cache doesn't actually delete anything for example.
I'm really stuck here because I can't finish the projects I started working on with AE.... I would appreciate someone's input!
    Many thanks in advance!
    My system specs:
    Intel Core i7-3930K, 3.20GHz, 16GB RAM, 64-bit operating system, GeForce GTX 680, Windows 7, Creative Suite CS6
Before using Media Encoder to export clips from AE I was just relying on Dynamic Link between AE and PPro by the way and that made all of the clips choppy for the whole duration (this was before I solved the RAM preview problem and I haven't checked if a working RAM preview would make a difference to dynamic link). So Media Encoder nearly solved the problem. I posted this original problem on creativecow (http://forums.creativecow.net/thread/2/1045810) but no one has gotten back to me about the new issue unfortunately.

    Thanks for your reply!
I tried using Quicktime with PNG and it created a big file (1.18GB for a 1 minute long clip) that doesn't play back nicely in PPro unfortunately. But I then tried rendering the clip using a lossy format, H.264, in AE and it's playing back ok in PPro! I will just do that for the rest of the clips and hope that this is finally resolved. Many thanks for the tip!
Out of curisoty, do you know what might be causing the problem when I use Media Encoder?

  • IMPORT/EXPORT problem.

    Hi,
I am using a import export statement in my program.
    REPORT  ZKATEST.
    data : w_test type c value '1'.
    data : w_test1 type c.
export w_test to memory id 'ZKAPIL'.
import w_test1 from memory id 'ZKAPIL'.
    write : w_test1.
Here the value gets exported to memory, but while importing its not getting populated (w_test1 is blank).
    Please suggest the solution.
    Thanks
    Kapil

    Hi kapil,
    1.  This kind of problems happen
        because the variable name,
        for export
        and import are different.
    2.  While exporting,
        Under memory id ZKAPIL,
Value of W_TEST is stored with the name W_TEST.
    3. From the syntax,
        <b>import w_test1 from memory id 'ZKAPIL'</b>
while importing,  from memory id ZKAPIL,
the sysetm will , by default,
try to search the value stored under name W_TEST1.
(But it won't be found, because the orignal value is stored
under the name W_TEST and not W_TEST1)
<b>4. So just modify the syntax with this, and it will work fine.</b>
    <b>import W_TEST = w_test1 from memory id 'ZKAPIL'.</b>
    regards,
    amit m.

  • Import export woes

    Hello,
I am having problems exporting and re-importing with a different application id in the online environment.
    I am getting:
ORA-20001: Errore GET_BLOCK. ORA-20001: Errore GET_STMT. ORA-06502: PL/SQL: numeric or value error: character string buffer too small ORA-06502: PL/SQL: numeric or value error: character string buffer too small.
According to previous messages this error should be linked with character set but I exported and imported the file with Character set UTF-8 on the same machine, from the same client as DOS files.
When I ran the export script on my test box from SQLPlus, it went in without problems whatsoever, while I keep receiving the same error if I perform the import operation from HTMLDB import application page (on my box).
So, just to make a test, I imported the application script as a normal script and I received a different error altogether:
Error: ORA-20000: Unable to get the block of code: ORA-20000: Unable to get statement: ORA-06502: PL/SQL: numeric or value error: character string buffer too small
ORA-12899: value too large for column "FLOWS_010500"."WWV_FLOW_SW_STATEMENTS"."TEXT" (actual: 412, maximum: 256)
This leads me to ask for some improvement in the user interface, like:
    1) create an optional region where dbms_output messages can be read from.
    2) spawn dbms_application_info lines in the export script so that a user can check what was the last operation performed.
    3) support the "PROMPT" sqlplus command in some way inside the SQL command processor when executing scripts.
    Additional question:
Is it possible to have a copy of the same application, that is working on top of the same schema, while having a different "skin", that is a different UI template?
This is what I was trying to test, but I was stopped by the import problem.
    Thanks and bye,
    Flavio

    Flavio,
You will need to set the character set portion of your NLS_LANG environment variable to match the character set of the exported file. Note that this has to be set prior to connecting via SQL*Plus.
The format of the NLS_LANG environment variable is language_territory.characterset. There is no locale-specific information in an application export file, so it is irrelevant what the language and territory settings are, as long as they are valid. But the characterset value is all important.
For example, if I exported an application from HTML DB and the file character set is "Unicode UTF-8", I would want to set my NLS_LANG environment variable to something like american_america.al32utf8. Likewise, if my file character set is "Western European ISO-8859-1", I would want to set my NLS_LANG environment variable to something like american_america.we8iso8859p1.
The character set portion of NLS_LANG must match your exported file character set, regardless of the character set of the database you are importing into.
