Import from CVS project problem.

Hi,
I can not get the content in bin folder after I import files
from CVS project. the bin folder is empty,
I get 'The page cannot be found' error when I run the
application. I can not use the code to generate files in bin
folder.
How to fix the problem?

Did you try to run export/import from commands? or some kinda GUI tool?
If you use import/export, you can find them from Oracle syntax.

Dissolves imported from Premiere project not working in After Effects

When I import a Premiere project into After Effects all the dissolves turn into separate layers (black solids). There is no opacity information being imported for some reason.

What version of Premiere created the project you're importing?

I am a new user. I installed oracle 10g. I took an export one schema and I want to import back. But when I put "import to export files" , it says "the page cannot be displayed." and I installed another machine, it says same thing. What am I do wrong?

Address book sync creates duplicate contacts imported from .cvs file

Contacts on my iPod are weird--there are duplicate entries for some people, but one of the duplicates contains only email addresses whereas the other has all the remaining info. Everything seems normal in Addresss Book--no duplicates, and all the info. is there. Not all of my contact entris have this this duplication/split info. problem. Those that have the problem were originally imported into Address Book from an Excel .cvs file. I also sync with a Motorola Razr and the same names were duplicated fully on the phone, with each entry having all the phone numbers that should have been synced. Anyone know what's going on or how to fix this?

If you have all the correct data in outlook, my suggestion is wipe the device (all the data is erased) and synch the device again.
To wipe the device go to menu, options, security options, general options, press menu, and wipe handheld.

Importing from photo booth, problems with length and sound

I have a 15 min (277 MB) video clip from photo booth that I would like to post to youtube. I can't get it to work and have been wrestling with a few different programs:
When opening the clip in Quicktime, there is no sound. I can open with VLC media player and the sound is fine.
The clip is too long to import to youtube, so i need to edit it into two sections. However, when try to import the clip into iMovie HD 6, the program crashes (maybe because it is again too long?).
So I purchased Quicktime pro so I could edit the clip. I am able to do this fine, but still have the sound problem. When I saved the edited version, and try to open with VLC, still no sound. Same with iMovie, I can import the smaller clip, but no sound.
I now realize that photobooth is less than ideal for long clips...but we got carried away.
Any input would be appreciated!

I use KDE, but I had sound issues too when I tried Gnome, and just couldn't get it to work right (One of the reasons I use KDE) but if I remember correctly, I needed to install the esd sound daemon and add it to /etc/rc.conf to get sound in gnome.

Importing from P2 Firestore problems

Hello there,
I have been attempting to import clips from a focus enhancements firestore, which is alternative to the P2 cards for the Panasonic HVX200. When I try to import these clips I get an message that reads "Cannot import possible corrupt or incomplete files". Is the footage lost? Or is this an application issue? I am working with FCP 5.0.4. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

The Firestore and similar FW devices do not necessarily write standard video file formats and your P2 introduces additional problems. Generally, we have read here that you must move the files from the Firestore to your drives before you attempt to import them. You may need additional processing for the P2.
Be sure to search for P2 and Firestore, the topics do not come up often but the other discussions might give you aclue.
Hope you get it figured out and please post your ultimate solution for the benefit of future P2 users.

Primavera import from MS Project file having .mpp extension

How can you import MS project file with .mpp extension to primavera p6v7. In primavera import options unseer Mocrosoft project it shows only .MPX and .XLM extensions.

You need MS Project installed on this same PC as P6.
Alternatively there was an old P3.1 utility that would convert .mpp to .mpx files.

I am trying out Final Cut Pro X and trying desperately to import a project from iMovie 11 (version 9.0.9). There is no export to FCPX in iMovie 11 nor is there import from iMovie in FCPX.

I have read multiple posts on this subject and they all recommend File/import/ from iMovie project in FCPX
However there is NO such option under File/import in FCPX - nor is there an option to export to FCPX in iMovie 11
Can anyone please enlighten me.

The current version of FCPX does not work with that version of iMovie. You need version 10.0.3, which allows you to send a project to FCP.

Import from Server Tabular Project creating a new Tabular DB?

Hi,
I have a Tabular database on a server want to make some changes to it, for that I have imported Tabular DB through BIDS and trying to makes changes, and what I see is every time I import the tabular DB its creating a New DB on the server with <DBName><UserName><GUID>.
Is this the Tabular Model behavior or an I missing anything here?
How to make the changes to the existing Tabular?

According to your description, you want to modify an existing tabular database. Right?
In Analysis Services Tabular mode, once the "Import from Server" project is created, the Workspace database will appear in the Analysis Services instance specified in the
Workspace Server property. The name cannot be set in the Properties window. The default setting of Workspace database is the project name, followed by an underscore, followed by the username, followed by an underscore, followed by a GUID. In this
scenario, I suggest open the original project which created that tabular database. Modify the project and redeploy it.

Button Actions are not working -invoking task flow from other project regio

I have a project using a mani.jspx file having a regions and the region is updated with different views based on a router condition in my bounded task flow. Everything working fine with in the project. I have a seperate project in my application having an index.jspx and region in it. I created the ADF lib jar file of the first project and imported to this project. I could invoke the task flow in the first project to the region in the index.jspx file in the seconed project.But none of the action managed bean method attached to the buttons in this view are working.The methods are not getting called on clicking on button and no error in the backend console of Integrated weblogic server.Any body can help what could be the issue ?

The issue that is happening when I refreshed the region with task flow from the project I imported.If I load the taskflow from the imported project on first time rendering all my managed bean actions are executing but if I load a different flow initially and change the taskflow Id imported from other project none of the managed actions are working.

Import iMovie '08 Project?

A friend started a project in iMovie '08 and is considering upgrading to Final Cut Express...
Can Final Cut Express import an iMovie '08 project? If it can, how much of the edit makes it into Final Cut? Transitions? Audio edits? Titles? etc?
Will his iMovie timeline basically be recreated in Final Cut Express and all his raw clips come over as well?

You can open and edit projects created with iMovie using Final Cut Express.
To open an iMovie project:
1 In Final Cut Express, choose File > Open.
2 In the dialog that appears, select the iMovie project you want to open.
The iMovie project opens in the Browser and contains the sequence and the clips as
they appeared in the iMovie Clips pane.
Important: Final Cut Express does not import iMovie sound effects, audio levels, or
transitions. All other applied effects are imported.
3 Double-click the sequence to open the iMovie project in the Timeline.
4 Render the sequence.
The imported clips are linked to the original media files captured in iMovie (found in
the iMovie project’s Media folder). These files are iMovie DV Stream files and are
encoded differently than the QuickTime files Final Cut Express captures. Keep the
following in mind:
DV Stream files do not have timecode tracks, so media imported from iMovie
project files cannot be recaptured. All imported source media must be backed up
for future reediting.
Imported iMovie DV files might not play back or print to tape in real time without
being rendered first.

Importing clips from iMovie project (they keep ending up in the trash)

I have never tried to import other clips from another iMovie project before and I just tried it yesterday. This is what I did:
-I went into the other project and clicked on each individual clip from that project that I wanted (one at a time).
-I copied that clip and then saved it to the desktop
-From there I copied those clips to my external drive (which holds the new project that I am working on
-I then opened up the new project in iMovie
-I went to File<Import
-I selected the clips that I had copied over to the external drive
-I imported them
-They all showed up fine, they played fine and I was able to edit them and put them into the time line as well
The problem I face though is after I save the project and exit, the next time I open the project, each of those clips are missing and have been placed in the trash
What am I doing wrong?

It sounds like something may be preventing iMovie from properly saving the project on the external drive. The drive format may be wrong, or third-party software might be causing conflicts. More here:

Another possibility is that you are opening the wrong project file saved inside the iMovie 5 project. If your project was originally an iMovie 4 project converted to iMovie 5 that's an easy mistake to make. More here:

Note that the copy/export/import routine you used can be simplified enormously. iMovie 5 lets us Copy and Paste clips much more simply. To copy clips from Project A to Project B, open Project A, select all the clips you want copied to Project B, choose Edit > Copy, open Project B, move the playhead where you want to place the clips, and Paste. iMovie will import all the files that support those clips from Project A to Project B. Note that it imports the entire file for the clip, not just the clip itself. That's so the clip inherits all the non-destructive editing features it had in Project A.
To avoid Project B becoming unnecessarily large, it's important to Copy and Paste all the clips you want together. If you copy two clips at the same time that share the same file iMovie imports their source file just one time. But if you Copy and Paste two clips that share the same source file separately, iMovie imports the same file twice.
