Import from Project

Question

How can I get msproject data into
powerpivot?
Do I need project installed, or is there a way to retrieve the data without
instaling it (as you can do with access)

Hello MaYaLi,
You can Import data from any data source where you have a data Provider (OleDB / ODBC /.NET) for. But up to now I have never seen an data Provider form MS Project files.

Adding what to Olaf has already said, you will need someone with a copy of Project to export the data into a format that Power Pivot can load such as Excel workbook or CSV. From there you can load it into Power Pivot using the available set
of data providers.
