Import FT Wizard - where's the imported site?

I downloaded the Import Front Page Site Wizard for
Dreamweaver MX 2004 and then walked through the wizard to import my
FP site. When I restart DW8, I get a message that the FP site has
been added, but I don't see it anywhere. What gives?

Yup, mpg and mpeg are the same. mpeg-1 files are roughly equivalent to VHS quality and mpeg-2 files is the format used in in standard definition DVDs. A number of the new hard drive camcorders use the mpeg-2 format, so you'll see a fair amount of discussion on the topic in these forums. The current version of iMovie (iLife08) can deal with many of these mpeg-2 files without an external conversion (I'd try the software at the Apple store before purchasing). That version of iMovie is quite different than what you have, and there are tradeoffs involved in upgrading.

In Firefox 8.0.1, where is the import feature to import bookmarks from another browser or a back up of bookmarks on a dvd. Also, there does not appear to be a bookmark manager to organize or edit bookmarks.

I probably just missed something stupid but I could use some help please.

Every financial institution (bank, credit union,...), every news outlet (print/TV/Radio/blog) reaches out to millions of elderdly folks and other non-geeks and tells them to run away as soon as they dont see a Key or Lock on a secured page (or maybe so-called secured page from what I get you are trying to push through).
This is a major Change Management disaster waiting to happen... Not just for Firefox but for every web site using secure transactions. Countless organisations are going to get calls from users telling them, "Your site is not secured, Oprah and CNN told me so".
Go for color scheme or other visual indicator to warn of security level, but absolutely dont lose the icon !

On the domain controller, in STMS>overview>systems>(double click the one you want to change)>Select Transport Tool tab and click on change. Add Import_single_only value 1, import_single_strategy value 1 and no_import_all value 1. Save distribute and activate.

Where do the imported clip files go to?

I recently uploaded something into iMovie HD from my camcorder, all the clips appeared in the imovie panel as they should, but I don't want to take up too much of my hard drive space, so I dragged and dropped the files into my external hard drive, all the files went as they are supposed to, I then selected all of the panel clips and hit delete, to "cut" them. But it looks like they are still taking up space on my internal hard drive, so I am wondering where do the files go, I can't seem to find them, I want to throw them away permanently in the trash, but am unable to do so, and it is currently taking up space on the hard drive.

I can't remember for sure, but I think iMovie HD (version 5) is the same as version 6 in that it is nondestructive. When you delete clips in iMovie, iMovie still saves the clip in its project files. You can see these clips in the project file, but I don't remember how to access it in iM5. (In iM6, you control click on the iMovie icon and then select 'Show package contents' but I think iM5 was different...maybe more direct. Perhaps someone still using iM5 can advise.
You can create, import and edit iMovies on a properly formatted external drive, but the iMovie application itself must remain on your computer's hard drive.

Importing Over Network: Where Do The Files/Images Go?

I am a relative Mac newcomer after years of Windows/PCs... have used Adobe Photoshop and PS Elements to edit and organize images and now I'm trying Aperture (thank heavens for a trial version). I'm gonna have a bunch of questions...
Here's the first one: why do the files I've imported into a project/folder in Aperture vanish the next time I open the program? Could it be because the images are on a different computer on my home network?
I am running Aperture on a MiniMac that is connected to my network (all wired, in this instance). My images are all stored on the internal HDD on a Dell XPS. Twice now, I have connected to the network, and imported a slew of image files into the project folder I'm building in Aperture. Everything imports fine and I can manipulate the images to my hearts content in Aperture (if slowly... don't recommend a Mini for Aperture but that's a different story altogether...)
The next time I have opened Aperture, it looks like it's the first time, like I haven't created any projects or imported any files. Nothing is there.
Have I forgotten to save something? I go to the "file" menu but "save" is not one of the options, I presume that import saving is automatic, ala iPhoto... but... where then is my work from the previous session?
At the risk of asking too many questions in a single post:
I would also like to know if there is a way to get Aperture to display RAW files instead of the companion JPEG files when I combine the pair into stacks. I generally shoot RAW with a JPEG (small, basic quality) for reference sake. I only want to see the RAW files when I'm in Aperture, but sometimes Aperture seems to want to display the JPEGs. Is there a preference or something I can set to determine that?

Aperture will default to the aperture library in the 'Pictures' folder if it can't find the library set under the preferences menu
Hmmm again. The library I set in Preferences is a folder I created on a high-speed external drive that is hard-wired into the MacMini via Firewire 800. I double clicked on the Aperture library in that folder, and it came back to a fresh folder of images I imported last night. Still no sign of the stuff I imported on Monday.
But at least I'm getting a clue where to look for stuff...
As a test, double click on the Aperture Library' in your own home Pictures folder - Import a few pictures - Close Aperture and open it again
I think I have done the first two steps there -- opened Aperture last night, imported a folder (still on the network, though). I'll have to see what I wind up with when I close / re open it... later today.
If your new pictures are there - then you are OK
And if not? I hope they are, I like the way one of them turned out after RAW-tuning it in Aperture. Looks better than the same picture I manipulated in PShop.
Now what you may need to do is see if you can find the library you imported all the other pictures into.
Sounds like I have at least a clue where to start looking.

Well, there's a big fore-head slap and "d'oh". Maybe that explains why Aperture seemed to be running so slowly? Because the pictures I'm messing with are on another computer? Slap my forehead again.
Think it'll be faster if I copy them to that 7200rpm external HDD that's firewired to the Mini? I think I'll try that, too.

You should create an empty site.
Go to your site collection and click siteactions --> new site --> Select custom template, click create.
Here you choose meeting2 as Title/url
Now execute your import command (Import-SPWeb http://vee:111/meeting2 -Path
C:\temp\meeting_exp.cmp -UpdateVersions -Overwrite)
Now wait, when the import is finished, check your site!
That should do it.

ITunes 8: Where did the "Importing/Burning" setting go?

Since I've upgraded to iTunes 8, the Importing and Burning settings have disappeared from Preferences > Advanced.
Anyone know where it is now?

iTunes>Preferences>General, click on the "import Settings" button.
There is no longer a global setting for burning, when you insert a blank CD and click on Burn Disc, a burn settings dialogue box opens so you can choose an individual setting for each disk you burn.

Import Excel with Import Wizard / Problem during the import of "Actual Work" column

Hello,
I am trying to import an Excel File (*.xlsx) to Project Server 2013 through Project Professional 2013 and Import Wizard.
I am having trouble when I try to include the column "Actual Work". After selecting the columnsmapping I am getting a strange error message saying that "The File cannot be oppened","Make sure, that the Filename and Path is right"
and some other strange messages concerning compatibility, although I am using the same File, which works perfectly without the "Actual Work" column.
I have tried as well with csv and the outcome was the same.
Any help is welcome!

option. This is

Where is the import button

iPhoto user for many years, all of a sudden in iPhoto 9.5.1 on my MacBook running Mavericks, when I plug in my Fujifilm X10, iPhoto opens, but I get a window that shows my photo library, but it does not have the usual sidebar with the albums, and attached camera. Also, it used to automatically display the camera files to import, and now it does not, so I don't see a button to import anything. The menu bar on the bottom of the window shows albums, events, faces, places, edit, share, but no import that I can find. Help!

Are you perhaps in Full Screen Mode? Then move the cursor up to the upper border of the screen to reveal the main menu bar and exit Full Screen mode.
You should be seeing something similar like this in iPhoto 9.5.1:
A sidebar with many captions, like "devices", "Albums", for the different sections of the source list.
Each section can be hidden by hovering the cursor to the right of the caption to reveal hidden show/hide controls:
You may have to unhide the "Devices" section.
iPhoto will show you the Import panel split into two sections, first the new photos, and then photos already imported.

Where is the "import/export" feature for backingup/restoring bookmarks file?

In 3.6x, I could go to the Bookmarks tab and open the "Export bookmarks" and backup up my bookmarks to an external back up drive. Conversely, I could go to the Bookmarks tab and open the "Import bookmarks" and bring in a saved bookmark file. I upgraded to 9 this evening and, so far, in 9, for the life of me, I can't find the "Import bookmarks" / "Export Bookmarks" feature. In the past, I've experienced crashes whereby I've lost ALL of my bookmarks. With 3.6x, I could backup the bookmark file daily if I so desired but, with 9, I can't do it! HELP!

And, well, DUH!...I've used "Show all bookmarks" so many times, over the years, I simply forgot what it was called!...I would just go there, click on it and do my backups...When I went to do so, last night, with 9.0.1, I simply didn't recognize it and, thought "Show all bookmarks" would somehow "unpack" all the carefully-foldered bookmarks I've developed over the years...
Hmmm...call it a "senior" moment...

iWeb can't import your published files back again. You have to rebuild them from scratch, although of course you can copy/paste whatever you want from your published pages.
