Import google tasks

Now that there is Google task synch add on, isn't there way of transferring one to/from the other tasks system?
Google Calender in Lightning says: "Please select a calendar that supports tasks" but As far as Google Calender is concerned it does support tasks!!
The data is there with Google task Synch, so why there is no mapping between the two? After all there are are a lot more mismatched contact fields that have been mapped between the two systems, why Tasks is proving so difficult?

are you using caldav or gdata provider? If my understanding is correct tasks are included in the caldav implementation.

  • Palm pre sync with Google tasks?

Hello, I am thinking about upgrading my Centro to a Palm Pre versus a Google Android phone. I am leaning towards the pre but for one issue. I know that it is easy to sync Google calendars, but what about syncing Google tasks? I saw some old posts that said you can't do it, but am wondering if it is now supported.

Hello.  I am new to the forum and might not be here long if a couple issues can't can't be fixed.
    1.  As an ADHD adult, the tasks list is by far the most important application on a Palm for me.   I synchronized all my data from Palm Desktop 6.22 to my brand new Pre and there are a couple problems.  One, I can't figure out how to do recurring tasks.  On the Centro it was simple.  Just enter something like "feed the fish"  and set it to redo three days after task was completed.  I see no settings like this .  How can I get recurring tasks back?
    2.  I used to have categories on my Palm Centro task list.  For example, as a teacher, I had school tasks, a grocery lists, a Home Depot list, etc.  These categories disappeared after I synced to my newly created Google account.
    3.    This is pretty similar to number two.  I used to have categories for memos.  Categories for passwords, categories for college stuff, categories for fantasy baseball stuff, etc.  Now, they're gone.  How do I get them back.
    4.  More memos questions.  How come some of them show the details and then starting at the letter P, I just see sticky notes with one or two letters?  WHat is that about?  How am I supposed to know  what those memos are?  How do I fix this?
I've been a Palm Use for well over a decade, but if Palm can;t fix things like this, well, then I guess I'll give up on 'em and get a Droid like my wife.  However, Palm has helped me organize my life for so long I'd like to stay with them.  Are there any fixes for these problems, either via setting on the phone, apps, or anything else?  Thank you in advance for your help.

  • View google tasks in ical

I didn't see any other users asking this question!  Only 11 "related" questions.  None applied.
    So here goes:
I can see my google calendar events just fine in iCal.
How can I see my google tasks in iCal???
    thanks for insight!

Whether the solution is the problem? since it is very inconvenient.
I like I bring to contact children's birthdays, anniversaries, date of death, and so on.
And I want to make it all displayed in the calendar.
Then the meaning of the item in the contacts if it can not be controlled?
It turns out a half-measure, and those with no no value, not to speak about the practicality!

  • Google Tasks Script

I was looking for a way to access my Google Tasks, eventually to put into a widget for Awesome WM, so I created this script. it's based on http://privacylog.blogspot.com/2010/07/ … tasks.html but has some changes. That script created an e-mail that got sent to your spam folder, where mine will sort out the list, make it readable, and print it out of stdout. This also saves the list in your home directory.
    #!/bin/bash
    cd $HOME
    curl https://www.google.com/accounts/ClientLogin \
    -d Email=[email protected] \
    -d Passwd=YOUR PASSWORD \
    -d source=privacylog \
    -d service=goanna_mobile > token
    AUTH=$(sed -n 's/Auth=/auth=/p' token)
    HEADER="Authorization: GoogleLogin $AUTH"
    URL="https://mail.google.com/tasks/ig"
    curl --header "$HEADER" "$URL" > tasks
    grep -o "\"\(name\|task_date\|notes\)\":\"[^\"]*\"" tasks > templist
    grep "name" templist | awk -F : '{print $2}' > list
    rm templist
    cat list | awk -F \" '{print $2}' > betterlist
#removes a blank line and task list name
#if you don't have the blank line and task list name
#you may want to remove these two lines
    sed -i '$d' betterlist
    sed -i '$d' betterlist
    cat betterlist > list
#to only print the list, not save the list,
#uncomment the list in the next line
    rm token tasks betterlist #list

    Try Google support.

  • Sync google tasks with reminder in mountain lion

Is there a way to sync google tasks with reminder in Mountain Lion?

Findley you're correct because I did the same thing.
I'll summarize for all people with the same problem :
If you are a Google user like me (Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Contacts) you will probably run into trouble getting the Reminders and Notes working.  After trying a lot of things I just gave up and decided to stick with Google, except for the Reminders and Notes. In other words :  I'm now using iCloud for these two and it works perfectly : very fast and without any trouble whatsoever.  There seems to be a catch because of the fact that Notes are tied with a @me.dcom email address and Reminders are tied with an Apple iCloud Calendar, but in fact, you can just ignore them and keep using Google for that.
In other words:  I let Apple create an iCloud Calendar when enabling iCloud Reminders, but I'm not using the Calendar and I let Apple create an @me.com email address but I'm not using it.  To use Notes and Reminders I'm using the apps on my iPhone and Macbook for that.  I can also login to iCloud.com using any browser to access Notes by opening the iCloud email app and Reminders by opening the iCloud Calendar app.  Later this year, Apple will even provide seperate Notes and Reminders icons on the iCloud website so it will be even more transparant.
So, Google for :  mail, calendar, contacts
iCloud for : Safari, Notes, Reminders, Find my Mac, PhotoStream
For Documents, I'm not using neither Google or iCloud for the moment... it's up to you to decide.
This solution has no drawback as far as I know and it works perfectly.

  • Link reminders to google tasks

I'd like to link Reminders to Google tasks. Is there a reasonable and reliable way to do this?

Try Tasket - works perfectly for me.  You have to set it up as another mail account and sync only reminders.

  • Sync OSX Reminders with Google task and OSX Notes with Android's Memo

    Hi all!
I have recently moved to OS X and I was wondering if there is a way to sync Reminders with Google Task and Notes with Android's Memo. I can see the question has been asked in past for a different OS X (I'm on Maverick) but I couldn't find a solution that works.
I have currently my Calendar sync'ed with Google Calendar: if I choose "Accounts..." in Reminders I can tick "Mail", "Contacts", "Calendars", "Messages" and "Notes" but I can't see "Tasks".
Is there a way to set this?
    Thanks in advance!

Cheers for that BikeMystery. So yeah, if you mainly use Google Services then the only way to get Reminders and Notes syncing between OSX ML and your iOS deviceis to activate Notes and Reminders under iCloud and create an @me address and an iCloud calendar. That's a bit pants really.
If you do have an Exchange or Yahoo! account set up in Mail, Contacts & Calendars does that allow Notes & Reminders to sync with iOS without iCloud?

  • Reminders and google tasks

as it says on apple website
    Multiple accounts
Reminders works with CalDAV services like Google Calendar and Yahoo! Calendar. You can also create reminders that appear only on your Mac.
but it dosen't seem to work, i have my google accounts set up in accounts and flaged for sync

It's a pity but Reminders on OS X does not sync with Google Tasks (1). This makes it almost useless since there is no easy way to access your todos with Google online (you have to use iCloud) or view your data via other devices like an Android smartphone.

The documentation for creating the CSV file for importing Google Earth coordinates into WCS is very vague. Can anyone provide some sort of a template or an example of their CSV file they succcessfully imported?

I don't know of any, but is has been rumored that Google will be porting their turn-by-turn nav app to the iPhone.

  • Importing Outlook Tasks in the Project 2010 Standard

When I import Outlook tasks in the project, only task name is imported but not duration, resource, start, and finish. Is that typical behavior?

Thanks Julie! I had asked this "How do I make my plan do what I expect/want to see? I understand that there may be nothing wrong with the behavior I am seeing in this process
and it could be that I have to do something different to include limited resource capacity
per day and not per task." the suggested solution of resource leveling doesn't accomplish the behavior I am trying to set.
As mentioned before, I want all resources to be available 80%
per project not by task. Meaning they should be fully assigned to any task up to 6.4 hours and any allocation beyond 6.4 hours should be pushed to the next working day.
    Please advise.

  • I saved google tasks as a bookmark & the "space" is there but not the tasks

I saved google tasks as a bookmark and then dragged them into the bar above my tabs. The Gmail envelope logo and the word Tasks appear nicely. However, when I click on it, I get a blank rectangle on the left side of my screen, with none of my Google tasks listed. It does say "Tasks" at the top - but no list.
I would really like to be able to pop out google tasks and have them show at my option no matter what tab I'm on. (I can view them any time by going to Gmail or GCalendar, but if those tabs are closed, tasks are closed).
Barring this, is there a different task and calendar I could use that is more compatible w/ firefox. I use an awful lot of gmail but don't use the integration features, so might just be able to use a different set of tools that I could keep "popped out" and viewable as I do my other work.
    Thanks
    Jeanne

'''Opening in the side bar is the default for bookmarks that are created via a link or button on a website.'''
Ok. I guess when I use the dragging technique, that is creating via a link?
'''You can check the Properties of a bookmark via the right-click context menu in the side bar (Ctrl+B).
In the Bookmarks Manager (Bookmarks > Organize Bookmarks) you can click the More button in the Details pane at the bottom right.'''
Yes, I can do that, but I have no idea what the significance is of what I am seeing in Properties.
'''Make sure that "Load this bookmark in the side bar" is not selected.'''
    It was not selected.
May I ask this question another way, please. How DO I add the Google task list to Firefox, step-by-step?
Sorry I am just not getting it. I appreciate your help. This one is just not intuitive for me and I can't extrapolate.
    Thank you
    Jeanne
