IMPORT IDOC from r/3 to xi
hi all ,
i have one customize idoc in r/3 .how i import that into xi,
please help me.
thanks and regards.
1 Expand the subnodes for the software component version for which you want to import interfaces.
2. Call the context menu for the Imported Objects subnode of this software component version and choose Import of SAP Objects.
3. The first step of the import wizard is Logon. Enter the user that you want to use to import the interfaces from the SAP system. To display the connection data for the SAP system, choose Display Connection Data (). You can also overwrite the connection data temporarily in the expanded area.
4. The second step of the import wizard is Choose Objects. Select the RFCs and IDocs that you want to import. After approximately one minute, the import wizard displays the objects on the Objects tab page (sorted alphabetically) and on the Component Hierarchy tab page (sorted by application components).
5. In the third step, Execute Import, you can delete RFCs or IDocs from the list of selected objects. To execute the import, choose Finish.

Import IDoc from SAP R/3 3.1I to ESR
Hi experts
For the import of RFC and IDoc structures the SAP Backend needs SAP Release 4.0 and higher.
But I have the requirement to import an Z-IDoc from an SAP R/3 3.1I to the PI-ESR.
Is there any way to do this?
Thx
TobiasAs there any other R/3 system in your landscape to transport the RFC or IDOC to and upload from there?
The interface needs not to be uploaded from the same system as processed later.
But you cannot use PI for this, as the target system for RFC or IDoc and the system to upload the metadata must be both unicode or both non-unicode. -

Error when importing IDOC structure from SAP - Control record missing
Hi!
We are hitting problems when importing IDOCs from SAP into the Integration Builder. The import ends successfully but when we drill into the IDOC structure we get a message: <b>Schema for type EDI_DC40.ASN_OUT.DELVRY01.Z1DELVRY (category Data Type) not found</b>. This is only happening for one specific IDOC type only. We have checked all we can think of but cannot get this to work. Any help would be very much appreciated. Of course, points awarded for any good ideas. Thx, DuncanHi Duncan,
Taka a look at these threads which address similar issues:

PrabhatHi Moorthy,
I checked connection in SM59 all r working fine using test connection.
In XI I have created 2 different RFC's for R/3.
1) "D11" with my personal login ID of R/3
2) "D11-060" with some special login ID "XIRFCUSER" of R/3
In IDX1 if i am using D11 and when i am trying to import Idoc in IDX2 i am getting error "Communication error: 'User ROHILLAU has no RFC authorization for functio'"
But when i use D11-060 in IDX1 i am able to import Idoc in IDX2.
But in IR-> Import SAP Object, I am using my ID for import and getting error "JCO.Client not connected in repository call"
Is in IR i also need to use "XIRFCUSER".
Thanks & Regards -

Hi Guy's,
When we are Importing IDOC from SAP side after adding a extra field to IDOC, Its not visible at XI side aftr Import. How we wil find that Field ?Hi kumar chaluvadi
if you want to add more fields in your idoc then you have to go for the idoc enhancement.
steps for the iodc enhancement
1. create the segment using the transactionwe31
2. create the enhanced idoc type using the transaction we30
3. link the msg type and the idoc type using the transaction we82.
if you still need clarification please reply me back.
Thanks

Hi all,
i'm trying to Import IDOCs from R/3 4.6C using Integration Bilder(XI, SP level 11) but get the message saying :
"Attempt to log on failed (authorization insufficient)."
The user has SAP_ALL profile assigned in the source system. I've also already checked SAP Notes 677732 (authorizations), 672745 (missing function modules), 212011 (access to IDoc metadata), and 718320.
Has anyone clue, what else should I check ?Hi Boris,
1. you can check the OSS note: 0000751839
2. check your RFC connection

I am trying to re-import an IDoc that has been extended. While in Intergration Repository I go to Imported Objects and right click and choose Import of SAP objects. We have multiple systems but the only one it will let me choose from is our BW box and the IDoc in in our ECC box. Is there some where i need to go to give myself more options? Maybe in the SLD somewhere?
Hi,
You want to import idoc from R/3 ?
then double click on software component version and select the radio button Import RFC and Idoc interface from SAP system permitted and below give the details of System and Client and follow.. It connects to the R/3 after you select Imports from IDoc and select the Idoc what ever you want. -

Can anyone help me to solve this issue.Venkat,
You can download them from http://service.sap.com/download
For 4.6c follow
Download
Support Packages and Patches
Entry by Application Group
Select <b>Support Packages and Patches -> SAP Application Components -> SAP R/3 -> SAP R/3 4.6C -> Entry by Component</b>
Mainly You need <b>SAP ABA 4.6C</b> and <b>SAP BASIS 4.6C</b> and <b>SAP APPL 4.6C</b>
The most latest one is Support Package 50. What you can do is after applying half of them you can try to logon from XI system for import of RFC/IDoc.

Unable to import IDOC metadata from 4.6C based R/3 system
As part of a project we are trying to import IDOC interface definition into XI3.0 from our 4.6C based R/3 System. I have gone through the pre-requisites mentioned at
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/2b/a48f3c685bc358e10000000a11405a/frameset.htm
One of the OSS notes 672745 in the above pre-requisites talks about applying basis component patch SAPKB46C46. Our current R/3 System is on the basis patch SAPKB46C39. Is there a way to import just the required function modules without applying the whole patch so that we can
continue with the projet ?
cheers.
Ramesh Babu<i>There is no SM59 RFC destination involved.</i>
Go to SM59 of the XI box and check, the R/3 system for which XI is having RFC destinations.
And before importing, hope you have given R/3 system IP address, client , user id and Password correctly in the Software componenet version.
<i>Is there a workaround for this?. I remember reading in this forum, that there are other ways of importing IDOC message and interface objects as XSD files directly instead of using import wizard.</i>
>> For this you need to download the Idoc Schema from the R/3 system and then import this schema in the External Definition as a xsd type.
But you need to connect to R/3 system and import the Idoc, Because in the directory, you are going to use Idoc itself as an Message Interface. So the xsd used for changing the occurence of the Idoc type, so that you can post mulitiple idocs.
Hope this helps,

Import of IDOC from R/3 to XI system

Now i want to import an IDOC from R/3 system SAPECC6 to XI system, there i got specify the Application Server, System Number Logon data to the R/3 system, but it give the error like i.e.
"Unable to establish connection to R/3 system SAPECC6 (system=01, client=200) Troubleshooting tips:
Is the target system online?
Check the connection data (note that server names and groups are case-sensitive)
Tips for administrators (see the configuration guide for more details):
Does the user have the required authorizations in the target system?
Is the target system configured correctly in "etc/services"?"
Any body came across this situation, Please send the solution asap.
Thanks & Regards,
Nagarjuna.Hi nagarjuna,
1 . First check this at your R/3 System.
While logon window, check the
Client No
2 . Second, when you import, you will give the details like application server, system no, user name and password. But you can fine the client no is different at this place.
Please change the settings according to that and move ahead.
This problem happends some times, Its with the configuration.
Hope this will help you.
