Import in Crystal Report

Problem while importing a Crystal Report in SAP Business One
Hi Experts,
I am facing a problem while importing a Crystal Report in SAP Business One, it displaying an error "No matching records found 'Queries' (OUQR) (ODBC -2028) [Message 131-183]" , and there is no use of this table OUQR in the Query.
Kindly let me know the solution.
Regards
Rahul SinghHi Rhaul,
i don't exactly know why this is a problem, but if your not on latest (881 p10) then upgrade and try again.
Or as a workaround,
try saveing from CR to SAP with the CR add-on. That usualy works better then the import.

Importing a Crystal Report file in SAP B1
Hi All,
I am using Crystal Report Basic 2008 and was able to create a rpt file and connect to the SAP B1 (through import option in Admin-> Setup -> General -> Report and Layout Manager) Purchase order screen,But i am not getting a series wise records.
i.e. i have 2 series in PO screen as Primary and PO and both starts from DocNum 1 (have diff period indicator) but when i use it in CR as Parameter is ask series as input every time. So pls guide me with proper method.
hope u all will do the needful
Thank u,Hi,
i have a data as below (OPOR table)
DocKey DocNum Series and other details.........
1 1 Primary(i.e any numeric value)
2 2 Primary(i.e any numeric value)
so on..................
3 1 User Defined(i.e any numeric value)
4 2 User Defined(i.e any numeric value)
so on.................
Now both the series have different period indicator (i.e primary is of default(sap one) and User defined is of 2010-11).
and now whenever i want to show the report for PO No 1 from any of the series it takes both the records!!!
i hope its clear for u all!
Thanks and Regards,

BO Explorer - Possibility of importing a Crystal Reports - report ?
Hi,
im trying to find out if it's possible to import a report made in Crystal Reports 2008 SP2 into Polestar / BO Explorer.
As i could see in the newest Version of the Crystal Reports Viewer there is a option to export the report into the "Bo Explorer in the Cloud Beta", where its workin fine.
Hopefully anyone could help me.Hi,
As far as I now the only data sources for SBO Explorer is SAP BW or SAPBWA.
If your Crystal report is based on a BW query you could reuse that I guess with a universe and information space on top.

Importing Crystal Report layout for customer statements
Hello,
I have imported a crystal report layout to use for the customer statements when running them from the ageing report. The problem is even if we only select one business partner in the ageing report, when we print preview the statement it displays statements for all business partners - this is because in the crystal report there are no parameters. I know that when you import a layout like this for other documents you need to use for example, {ORDR.DocEntry}={DocKey@} as the parameter however the customer statements don't have a docentry. When I look at the system statement layout (collection layout), when you run the report you get an ADO.NET (XML) connection prompt. Is it possible to use the crystal layout i have for the customer statements but for only the customer(s) showing on the ageing report?
Many thanks,
KateSo just to make it clear,
you want an overview of open invoices from 1 customer.
If so, try this in crystal reports :
Create a parameter field (field explorer)
Name : CardName
Type : String
Value : Static
do not select a value field (none)
press ok.
Select expert
Create new
Starts with
type this : {?CardName}
press add
Click formula editor and make it look like this :
{OINV.DocStatus} = "o" and
{OINV.CardName} startswith {?CardName} -
Error during import of business object BOREPMA (crystal reports)
Dear Colleagues,
we have a problem with importing of crystal reports into productive system,
export works fine - I get .car files, but import finished with error : "Error occurred in data conversion".
We could not find any reason for this error..... may be someone had same issue in the past?
How can I check what happens in background during import?
Thank you very much for responseHi Nick,
our problem is following: we changed *existing crystal report* on development workstation, and trying to import to q-workstation, as it was not possible, we made changes on q-workstation and trying to import to productive-workstation. We don't have crystal report designer on productive workstation and it is a reason why we can not create new report with same name as you suggested (on productive workstation).
In general, how should crystal reports be transferred between different systems (development, test,, productive) if you have crystal report designer only on development system? We think the export-import function can do this, but there is a data conversion error.... OSS message is created since 9 month, we don't get really solution from SAP...
Did you had the same problem or you have crystal report designer on productive workstation and can change coding there?
Thank you very much
Best rehgards

Cannot save Crystal report layout or view new layout of report
I am trying to make a change to a system crystal report (cust. recievables detailed aging). I had to make the date feild a little wider, so I edited the "system layout" that came with SAP (in my test DB of course), and I go to add-ins>sap business one>save. I get the following error "current user has no permissions for this operation". I am logged in as a superuser and full perm.
If I "save-as" and save it to a layout in sap....when I go to open the aging with my newly created layout it freezes and asks for DB logon info to connect to my server from crystal. I do not normally have to do this when I preview my reports in the out of the box layouts. WHat am I doing wrong? I am new to crystal.The system will not allow me to export the system crystal report....it is grayed out, and it IS a crystal report. HOwever I can open it in crystal, then save it to my desktop, then from INSIDE of SAP in the report and layout manager I import the crystal report I made the changes to from my desktop into SAP and it saves and imports no problems. However when I go to view the report (and this is only the ones I import), it prompts me with the db login for our server to connect, and it is only with that report, once I enter sa credentials it is fine and shows up from there on in, but not if I log out of SAP and back in...then I have to put in my credentials again. Is this something having to do with the report when I make changes to it? I cant have users entering login info each time they run the new aging details report. Please advise what I may be doing wrong when I make changes to a crystal report. It was a very minor change....just moved a feild width.

Crystal Report Layout With Prompts SAP BO v8.8
Forum members,
I can successfully import a Crystal Report with parameters as a REPORT type into SAP BO 8.8. But when I attempt to upload the same report as a LAYOUT type, I receive the error, "Missing Parameters" and the import process halts even when I set a value as the default value for the parameters. I have two questions:
1. Does SAP BO v8.8 support Crystal Report parameters in print layouts? If it does,
2. How do I resolve this error message and get this functionality to work?
Thanks!
GreggI ended up submitting this to SAP support as a bug. Found that we can successfully print using the preview button first and then printing from that interface but sending the report directly to the printer or pdf generates an error.

Open a Crystal Report preview using a button
Hello. I need to open a Crystal Report preview using a button from my add-on. I've already created my report, so I need to create the object, pass the parameters and open an screen with my preview. Does anyone has a C# example? Thank you.
hi,
this is code for open the crystal report press the button.
First import the crystal report using Report and layout manager
goto administration->setup->general--->Report and layout manager
create one button in add-on form.when we press the button the following event triggered.
get the docnumber for that particular form and pass it.
Case SAPbouiCOM.BoEventTypes.et_ITEM_PRESSED
If pVal.ItemUID = "btnPrint" Then
Dim strAcNcmr As Integer
strAcNcmr = objForm.Items.Item("txtDocNo").Specific.Value
Dim oRS As SAPbobsCOM.Recordset
oRS = objSBOAPI.GetBusinessObject(SAPbobsCOM.BoObjectTypes.BoRecordset)
oRS.DoQuery("SELECT MenuUID FROM OCMN WHERE Name = ' Purchase Indend' AND Type = 'C'")
objSBOAPI.SBO_Appln.ActivateMenuItem(oRS.Fields.Item(0).Value.ToString())
Dim oForm1 As SAPbouiCOM.Form
oForm1 = objSBOAPI.SBO_Appln.Forms.ActiveForm
oForm1.Items.Item("1000003").Specific.String = strAcNcmr
oForm1.Items.Item("1").Click()
oForm1.Items.Item("1").Visible = False
oForm1.Items.Item("2").Click()
End If
this is easy solution for open the crystal report for add-on form

Crystal Report For Eclipse: POJO problem
Hi all,
I am using crystal report for eclipse basic version and used POJO-method to implement for users to viewing my report.
I did the following:
I created a sql page (create a target table) and import into crystal report (through crystal report designer under eclipse environment) E.g. let's say I created a table with 10 fields and imported into the crystal report.
Then I drag and drop through crystal report for my report design.
Later if I need to add one more field .....
I need to modified my SQL page and re-import the sql page into my crystal report. HOWEVER, through this re-import process, I lost all the detail/information on the existing report (that mean I need to re-design my report through the designer under eclipse environmet).
My question is: Is there any better way for me to implement my report ???
THANKS .. THANKS a lot as this problem make me use a lot of my time ... THANKSIn the sceario you have described (using a SQLPage as the datasource for the report), unfortunately, this is a limitation of the workflow. If you need to change the SQL, then you essentially need to remove and re-add it to the report which means replacing all the fields on the report.
Instead, I would recommend using a class as the report's datasource. The class would represent the fields that would be used in your POJO object. This way if you need to modify the fields in the POJO, you can simply update the class and use the Verify Database to update the report.

Crystal Report formula with datediff not working as expected
We need a Crystal Report formula to display the number of seconds the oldest arriving call has been waiting. Across multiple resources that can each have an "oldest call". The database stores a datetime value for the time the oldest call arrived. If there are no waiting calls, then this field is NULL. (MSSQL database). It seemed reasonable to implement this in a formula that 1) discovers the minimum of "oldest call" timestamps in the selected records, and 2) to use "datediff" to produce the difference (in seconds) between the "oldest call" timestamp and current time.
The first attempt at this relied on "implied" iteration that could be done within a formula. Something like:
data: OLDESTARRIVALTIME
null
'2014-06-14 08:08:08.000'
null
'2014-06-14 08:07:55.000'
null
whilereadingrecords;
datetimevar minArrival;
if isNull({SVCCLASSMEASURES_VW.OLDESTARRIVALTIME}) = False
and minArrival < {SVCCLASSMEASURES_VW.OLDESTARRIVALTIME} then
minArrival := {SVCCLASSMEASURES_VW.OLDESTARRIVALTIME};
DateDiff("s", minArrival, {SVCCLASSMEASURES_VW.UTCDATE})
We tried storing the values of OLDESTARRIVALTIME in an array. We could see it iterating, but the values in the array only contained
the column value from the first record.
This was to solve the problem of screening null values and producing the minimum of the set.
Since that didn't work (and the web articles seemed to imply this would iterate over all the records, we tried another approach. This
time we set NULL timestamps in the table to a timestamp far in the future, so that we could directly apply "minimum" to produce
the correct "begin" for datediff.
data: OLDESTARRIVALTIME
'2030-01-01 00:00:00.000'
'2014-06-14 08:08:08.000'
'2030-01-01 00:00:00.000'
'2014-06-14 08:07:55.000'
'2030-01-01 00:00:00.000'
datetimevar minArrival = minimum({SVCCLASSMEASURES_VW.OLDESTARRIVALTIME});
datetimevar minUTC = minimum({SVCCLASSMEASURES_VW.UTCDATE});
if minArrival < minUTC then
DateDiff("s", minArrival, minUTC)
else
0
(minUTC would be current time in UTC)
So, to start things off, the last formula produces negative numbers! They hover in negative seconds within a negative minute (-33, -45, etc.).
That's inconceivable, considering the test for minArrival < minUTC. Both of the fields are "datetime".
As it turns out, in the near term, it's most important to get the second formula working. And, of course, insights into getting the first
formula to work are welcome as well!
Have we run into some weird behavior of the "DateDiff" function?
Thanks!If DateDiff is always returning a negative number you could try swapping the dates around in the call to DateDiff - it should look like this:
DateDiff("s", minUTC, minArrival)
Or you could use the Absolute Value of the calculation:
Abs(DateDiff("s", minUTC, minArrival) )
As for your first formula, you need to initialize the variable to a value prior to using it in the comparison. If you don't, its value is null and comparing it against a value won't work. (See What is Null and Why is it Important for Crystal Reports | SAP BI BLOG for a blog that I wrote about working with nulls in Crystal.)
You should change your existing formula to something like this:
whilereadingrecords;
datetimevar minArrival;
if OnFirstRecord then minArrival := DateTime(2013, 1, 1, 0, 0, 0);
if not isNull({SVCCLASSMEASURES_VW.OLDESTARRIVALTIME})
and minArrival > {SVCCLASSMEASURES_VW.OLDESTARRIVALTIME} then
minArrival := {SVCCLASSMEASURES_VW.OLDESTARRIVALTIME};
Note how I changed the If statement. Also, you want to replace minArrival with the field value if the field is less than the current value of minArrival - so you need to use ">" instead of "<" in the comparison. Place this formula in the details section. It will now show anything because of the semi-colon on the end. This will ensure that it gets evaluated for every record.
Now, create a second formula that looks like this:
whileReadingRecords;
datetimevar minArrival;
DateDiff("s", minArrival, {SVCCLASSMEASURES_VW.UTCDATE})
Place this formula in a footer section - it will not work in a header section. If you need it in a header section you might be able to take the "whilereadingrecords" off of both formulas and use the "Maximum()" summary function to get the correct value.

Need to use DocNum as parameter in Crystal report
Dear All,
I am developing a report for our customer now. It is a invoice report. We need 2 parameters
1) Customer code (drop-down list. can only choose one each time)
Here is my token
Customer@ SELECT CardCode, CardName FROM OCRD WHERE CardType = 'C' ORDER BY CardCode
2) Then we need another parameter to display all invoice number for the specific customer. How can I create the parameter here?
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
YukaYou create two parameters in Crystal Reports. Try these
One for Cusomer (Customer@Select CardName from OCRD where CardType='C') - This would be String, Dynamic
One for DocNum - Type :Number , Static
Import the crystal report using Report Layout Manager to the app menu.
Then navigate to the patch and click on the report, when the report loads you should see a dropdown list for Customer Name and the DocNum will be blank.
Click on View-->System Information and findout field info
create a query : Select DocNum,CardCode,CardName,DocTotal,DocDueDate from OINV where CardCode=$[TableName.Field] -
