Import INBOX sorting for 9 hrs? no messages in view pane

Hi,
I'm in the midde of an Import of all my messages and folders from my old e-mail app (Entourage 2004). I brought everything into Mail 2.0 except some junk mail folders and other unwanted folders. Importing up around 4,000 messages - divided and organized into several folders (now called mailboxes??). I rerouted / file my daily mail from numerous e-mail accounts a list of Rules in my old app. The import is taking a while, but I already notice some problems like location of my old folders and not being able to view messages in the list pane (from a full folder). I have some other questions for some experts.
Cutturent Status:
Emptied all unwanted/old mail off my server before the import.
Rewrote all my rules from Entourage IN TO Mails rules.
Re-opened POP accounts for each of e-mails in Mail.
Now importing all the desired folder/messages from Entourage.
Question 1:
When the import is done, in order to make my folders look like they were before (order, color, results of mail rule actions), can I DRAG the stacked folders out of the IMPORT folder that Mail brought them in, and move them to the base level of the directory?
Question 2:
Can I drag my huge amount of SENTmail from the IMPORT folder and drop it into Mail's Sent folder (so it looks like I sent it all from this app?
Same goes for DRAFTS?
Question 3:
Why do all the messages import to Mail as Unread Status?
Question 4:
When I sinngle click on an imported folder that has a highlighted number of messages enclosed, why does nothing show up in the message list pane? I want to see all these messages, change their status to READ and keep them in these folders for reference...but I can't see them (but they are in the folder right? Why can't I see the contents? A setting?
Question 5:
Is there a way to keep the useful "activity window" open all the time?
Doing a full import to Mail is a little like culture shock...but like coming home from a trip in Microsoft land.

My Mail.app just started doing this one day. Without warning, it just started sorting forever and never ever stops. Right now it's been running for like 30 minutes, the status bar dividing the toolbar and the blank email list says "Working Offline — 278 Messages — Sorting messages" and that little working icon is animating on its far right.
I stopped using Mail.app about 4 months ago because I couldn't solve the problem.
All I want to know is the location of every file used by Mail.app. If I can simply delete all these files and start from scratch, I will be satisfied. Well, I won't be satisfied, but I will be much happier.
Update: I forgot to mention that I cannot Quit Mail.app. It must be Forced to Quit. When I invoke the Quit keyboard shortcut, the application menu (titled "Mail") becomes highlighted, as expected, but then the application is frozen, forever, until I Force it to Quit.

Ya is my destination folder I put all my picture in this folder. and then I right click on it --> and then go to get info after that --> this dialogbox window apear and I change all the permission to read and write. when I open light room and import the destination folder Ya. I still meet the same problem " Some import operation were not performed. Could not move a file to the request location." do you have any solution beside of this please let me know.

Most of the message Flags work only for IMAP mailboxes. POP3 supports only the DELETED flag. It must be understood that Javamail is a framework which provides all the features available in a standard mailing system. But whether or not a particular feature works is a functionality of the particular implementation being used.
Thus for example POP3 cannot differentiate read from unread messages in a mailbox though Javamail provides that feature.

When I attempt to export/import via FTP for OOTP 11 I get a connectivity error message

I participate in OOTP ver 11 fantasy baseball leagues which uses FTP to export and import league databases. For some reason, I have been unable to import/export using FTP. Each time I attempt to export/import I get a connectivity error message stating "am unable to connect". I have not had this problem with the previous versions of OOTP Fantasy Baseball. Plus, when I first upgraded to OOTP 11, I did not have this problem.

Lord K. Thank you. Yes I am within the 90 time period, however I travel Intertionally and I can not receive not make a call to Apple. I was just at the Genius Bar in Chicago and they said, don't worry about it. It just floats out there, however, I can not recover my messages on a flash drive. I need to go back to my old computer which I don't have with me. My messages were in folders for a lawsuit. It is going to take an incredible amount of work for me to, you have no Idea. We are talking thousands of pages! I the defendent will have them during discovery so I am not so worried. However, I can not bring them to him on a Flashdrive when I meet with him without an extraordinary amount of presssure on my part. THis is not just some little email issue. This is suing EXPEDIA and Tripadviosr.com

Can't import Inbox.dbx file

I am using Outlook Express 6 and would like to import my Inbox.dbx file.
Through Outlook Express, File/Import/Messages/Microsoft Outlook Express 6/Import Mail from an OE6 store directory/Brouse & select the "Mail" file with all the dbx. files, I am able to import all the files except the Inbox.dbx file.
The "source" Inbox.dbx shows it as having 10,737 KB.
When I move the "source" Inbox.dbx into it's own folder, and try to just import it, I get a:
"No messages can be found in this folder or another application is running that has the required files open. Please select another folder or try closing applications that may have files open." message.
Even doing a restart (soft boot) doesn't make any difference.

Based on my research, this behavior can occur if the files that you try to import have the read-only attribute set. The read-only attribute can be set if you copy the .dbx files to a CD-ROM by using a CD-R or CD-RW device.
To resolve this issue, copy the files to a writable disk (for example, a floppy disk or hard disk), and remove the read-only attribute from the file's properties. You should then be able to import the files by using the Outlook Express import feature. You

In Mail, how do I get my imported inbox as the main top inbox? To have a new and an imported inbox for my main account is hard to deal with.

In the imported mailbox select all messages and move them to the mailbox you want them in, when complete delete the imported mailbox

FMIS vs LCDS for Real Time Messaging In Flex

A team that I am working with is launching development for a new Flex app. The app will have multiple text chat rooms and video chat too.
Since for video the architecture must include Flash Media Interactive Server (FMIS), the client assumes we will use FMIS for the text messaging.
My question is, for text chat what advantages does LiveCycle Data Services (LCDS) have over FMIS?
Does anyone here have experience with both that they can comment on? Can anyone provide links that might compare the pros and cons of LCDS vs FMIS? Or, dream come true, links providing comparisons of LCDS vs FMIS vs BlazeDS?
Any thoughts or assistance will be appreciated.

It sounds like you are changing the multiplier sometimes called the dX
on the graph scale. This changes how the graph is labeled, which is
sort of a unit or timescale change, but it doesn't affect the numeric
formatting of the scale. On the same dialog, as well as on the popup
are items for choosing scientific display or choosing digits after the
decimal to display, if that is what you are interested in seeing.
When you say you want to expand the waveform,
you might also want to
type into the min and max of the scale to view less data in the graph,
thus leaving more detail on what is viewed. This is effectively
zooming. If I still haven't guessed what it is you are trying to
change, please explain your problem again in more detail or post a VI.
As for choosing between a chart and a graph. The major difference is
that a chart shows the new data attached to older historical data. If
you are looking at individually sampled blocks of data, the graph is
what you want. If you want to look at a window on all of the data you
have gathered, a chart may work better. Also keep in mind that graphs
have cursors, charts do not. If your chart's data isn't a waveform,
then the X axis is simply samples and it tells the chart nothing about
phase.

Thanks to both of you for attempting to help. I finally figured out what was wrong . . . it was a Permissions problem. Very frustrating, but after scouring the troubleshooting tips I finally found the one that solved my problem. I had to add a User and give it Read/Write privileges to Lightroom. The file I had to add the User to was Hidden on my Mac, so that added an even bigger challenge to the mystery. Only a few days left on my trial version! I hope I have time to try it out!

Hi Martin. The way that AMF serialization/deserialization works for BlazeDS is the same regardless of which service is being used, so yes that code will work for messaging as well. On the server, the serialization/deserialization of messages happens at the endpoint. For an incoming message for example, the endpoint deserializes the message and then hands it off to the MessageBroker which decides which service/destination to deliver the message to.
That was a good question. Thanks for asking it. Lots of people are used to doing custom serialization/deserialization with the RPC services (RemoteObject/RemotingService) but I'm not sure everyone realizes they can do this for messaging as well.

The message

indicates that a component with the same name already exists in the target. However, this component does not come from the same source as the one in the transport set (hence the difference in the id). This could also happen if the same component name was used to create objects in the target environment.
In order for pre-check to succeed, you will either have to rename the components in source (and re-export them i.e., create new dumps) or rename them in target so they don't clash.
