Import Issue with Attributes

Hi everybody,
during import of approx. 16.000 records I am facing an issue concerning the attributes. The input file is an Access database, which was exported from another repository. Now, I am using Import Manager to re-import this file into a new repository. The taxonomy and the allocation of attributes in this taxonomy are the same. However, when I import the data, some products have wrong attributes attached to them with wrong values. I already tried to do a two-step import (first product data, then attributes). The same problem here. In the Access file all records are correct. Any ideas?
Best regards
Christian

  • Importing issues with Final Cut Pro X. Green flash and twitches while play back

Hello, I'm having some importing issues with Final Cut Pro X and I can't find any solution whatsoever. Perhaps my importing settings are wrong?
Anyways, I've done a lot of recordings on eye TV and HD PVR with some videos that are about 3 hours long. I exported them into H.264 files, which turns them into mpeg-4 files with AAC audio. Then I import them into final cut pro X and I notice it takes a long time for them to render the videos and I notice that there are some green screens and twitches while I play through the video.
Here is a screenshot of the green screen that I'm talking about:

Could it be my 2 video graphics card that is causing this kind of issues? Or is there any solution to fix this?
In the past, I've used iMovie 09 and it worked out perfectly. However, the new iMovie 11 is terrible because it automatically optimzie my 3 hour long videos into making the importing process to (144 hours long to import). Is there any way to get iMovie 09 back or am I stuck on dealing with this Final Cut Pro X issues?
    More information:
My Hauppauge HD PVR settings are set to custom. Video Constant Bit Rate, the average bit rate: 13.5 Mbps. The audio is AAC.

  • Import issue with Lightroom

I upgraded to LR5.2 2 weeks ago from 4.3. Install went fine, but I'm now having issues when importing my photos, Lightroom hangs partially through the import.  The only choice I have then is to force quit the program, which then freezes my computer.  Getting to be an invredibly frustrating exercise.
I have an iMac with OSX10.8.5 (Mountain Lion)
    Lightroom 5.2
Importing & converting CR2 files (5DMkIII) to DNG.
Images being imported to an external hard drive.
Nothing has changed in my workflow or software except for the installation of LR5.  I did read in some of the forums that there was import issues that appear to have been fixed with the latest release, however, whilst I DEFINTIELY have the latest release of LR5,  this is still occurring.  Any ideas? Another bug?
    Cheers
    Sarah

sure did. All permissions are admin & I'm it.  I haven't tried DL via image capture - LR4 gets me to the same end goal, tis just rather onerous to have to muck around with this twice.  Appreciate your taking the time on this

  • Lightroom 5 auto import issues with nikon d90

Hoping someone can help answer my question - I am wondering if Lightroom 5 has any issues with the auto import or tethering feature using a Nikon d90? I was using Lightroom 2 and the auto import feature has no issues with my d90. After I installed Lightroom 5 (Cloud App) and ran it for the first time, the first thing I used was the tethering feature and it worked great for 4 shots. I turned my camera off and then back on again and LR would not recognize my camera any longer for tethering. What's strange is that it will detect it for "Importing from Device" option. So, I went to plan two which was to auto import and that wasn't working at all. I am at a loss. I have a shoot coming up this weekend and need for one of these options to work. Any help is appreciated!!!

I use a D90, but I have never tried tethered shooting with it. Other users might have some suggestions for you, but looking at the list of supported cameras for tethered shooting the D90 is not "officially" supported in Lightroom. So you're probably on your own to find solutions. I know this isn't a lot of help.

  • FCE Import Issues with 720p resolution (from Panasonic GH1)

I cannot import 1280x720, 50fps videos from my Panasonic GH1 using the log and transfer window. If I try, the system crashes. Still they play in the preview window. With full HD everything works fine. I would assume that this format is not supported, since it does not show up in the easy setup menu (only 1920x1080 and 1440x1080 available).
The files imported using iMovie08 can be loaded with no issues. I would assume this is because the have already been converted.
Does FCE definitively not support import of 1280x720 material or am I doing something wrong?
    Thanks in advanced

    Hi,
the GH1 shoots full hd 1980x1080 with 25fps (30 for US market). I prefer using 1280x720 (which seems to be AVCHD lite?) with 50fps (60fps for US) which reproduces movement better.
Imovie09 convert those formats (AVCHD 25fps and AVCHD lite 50fps) to AIC while keeping the original format and frame speed. FCE can import the AIC files at the different formats - this I can see from what FCE is telling me in the browser.
In FCE I mixed both formats (1080 at 25fps & 720 at 50fps) in a small project and managed to get this exported to 1080 or 720 at different frame rates. I have not yet figured out what how the movie quality compares to each other, but IT WORKS.
Unless I have forgotten something FCE seems to handle all these formats but crashes as soon as I try to import of 1280x720@50fps files.
Which in fact brings me back to my question why FCE crashes. With all this capability of handling the different formats I would not have expected a program crash during file import. Which in facts makes me doubt if there still is something wrong....
I guess I should better start reading the manual.
    Good Luck

  • Strange Import Issue with Canon 7D Footage Final Cut Pro X

I'm hoping some folks can help me here as I'm stumped.
I shot around 60 minutes of last evening with my Canon 7D.  File sizes ranged from 500MB to 4GB.  I imported from my 8GB memory card a 3.6 GB file and a 500MB file with no issue.  I then moved on to my 16GB memory card, which was full with around 7 clips, and started importing.  I noticed the import was going slow but I was also importing some audio from SD cards on the same card reader, which I've always done in the past, and figured it was just a USB 2.0 bandwidth thing.
I then got an error regarding the Import Failing (see attachment) but the file appeared to have imported without issue.  Upon further inspection during the import however, I noticed any file larger than 1GB was showing as the PAL codec (after it imports it correctly shows H.264 but more on that later).  I checked the 3.6GB file from my first import and it did not share this issue. While on the shoot I had backed up a number of these files to my iPad so I attempted to import them from there and althought he PAL codec was not listed, I did get the Import Failed error.  I also tried a brand new card reader and a different Event/Destination the issue remained.
I've restarted, repaired permissions, and the issue remains.  I have never encountered this error and imported a similar amount of footage and clip sizes two weeks ago.  I'm stumped, has anyone else seen this?

I did some experiments this morning, and Richard's method worked. Thank you!
However, I didn't follow Richard's steps 2 & 3.  When importing, I let FCP copy the files to the FC Events folder. It still worked.  In step 1, I did not copy the .THM files to the new folder on my HD.
I did a second experiment that did not work:
    1) Copy .mov files (only) from CF card to new folder on HD.---no .THM files
    2) "Create Camera Archive" with FCP - Store new archive in its own folder on my HD
    3) Tried importing from the new Camera Archive -  This crashed just like before.
This tells me FCP is OK with importing individual media files to a FC Event.  It seems to crash when it thinks there's a camera involved.
Later today I'll try to import some AVCHD files and see if it crashes on import.  For AVCHD footage, you need to rely on FCP's "Import from device" capability.  Those files need to be transcoded to be usable at all.
    More later.

  • Import issue with CR2 file, Lightroom 5.3 & OS X Mavericks

    Hi there,
I really hope someone can help. I've just switched laptops and installed LR 5.3 on to OS X Mavericks. Upon import I get an error message saying that the CR2 files are unreadable. So I took the same card and tried to import them on the old cranky laptop that is running Lightroom 5.2 and on OS X Mountain Lion and it imported without a problem (12 photographs took a long time but they were all readable and in LR) This is crazy frustrating. Does anyone know of a way around it? Have I done something wrong? The camera is a Canon 6D and Ive had no issues prior to this with Lightroom 5 on the old lap top.
    Thank you!!

    Kim,
When LR tells you the file cannot be read, what it really means is that the file cannot be written to the folder that you specified for your Copy or Move operation on import. (Yeah, it's a stupid message.)
Generally, this means that the folder you're writing to is set so that your user ID doesn't have permission to write there.
Try repairing permissions and make sure you have write access.

  • Camera importing  issues with leopard

i just upgraded to leopard- and i'm having troubles importing from either of my digital cameras-- it's always been so easy, just plug the camera (panasonic or canon) and iphoto would open and i'd say yes to import...
now with the panasonic i can import-- i see a volume mounted and can drag it to iphoto-- but i get several versions of each picture-- (and it's still not as smooth)
but with the canon (which is the primary camera in use) i can't do a thing-- the camera simply isn't recognized at all.....
since 80% of what i do with the computer is photo related, this is a huge ugly deal... i'm willing to dump the upgrade in order to have my camera functional again but i don't know if that's easy to do...
    any suggestions?

You're in the wrong forum -- this is for Mail and Address Book. Your issue is with iPhoto and/or your digital camera.
You need to close this topic and open a new one in the appropriate forum.

  • JVC JY-HD10 importing issues with imovie HD 5.02

Greetings. Here is my issue: Imovie sees the camera, can control the camera, but no video or audio is coming through. It used to work just fine but now nothing.
What I have tried: 1) reset the firewire port 2) reset the pram 3) reinstalled imovie, 4) trashed the plists 5) used 5 different firewire cables 6) started up garage band (a suggestion from another post) 7) created a new account to elimated custom apps that may be in the way 8) talked sweetly to my mac 9) threatened my mac with big stick 10) walked away in sadness (using a pc to post this
Anyone have this issue? Any insite to this mystery would be greatly apprieciated.

G5   Mac OS X (10.4.7)   Quicktime pro latest version installed

    Hi Emosan
Please! Test Your Camera with another Mac to find out if the problem persists.
    Why ?
The faulth that You describes is similar to a most nasty one I provoked to
my Camera (several devices) and it was expencive to repair.
Yes the Camera worked normally when filming(recording)
    when play-back to TV (analog)
where controllable by iMovie (forward, backward etc.) BUT JUST A BLUE SCREEN
    NO IMPORT or EXPORT
If Your Camera works on another Mac then You need not to worry about this
    sad experience.
Please stay in tuch and give feed back.
I have a long list of what to do if the Camera is OK.

  • Import issues with Final Cut Express HD

I shot video with a Nikon AW100 and made a quick video and everything worked fine.
The next day, I tried importing more clips for another video and it crashed every time. No settings were changed on the camera or software.
I trashed Final Cut, reinstalled it and got the same issue.
I installed it on another Mac with the same problem there as well.
Can anyone help me with this?

    Some info, please ...
What versions of OS X and FCE are you using?   Exactly what model Mac are you using?
What settings did you use in your camera when you shot the video that worked?  That didn't work?
What Easy Setup are you using in FCE?
A few things that may be contributing factors ...
Only FCE 4.01 on an Intel Mac supports AVCHD video
However your camera (the AW100) may not exactly be an AVCHD camera ...  it shoots MPEG4/AVC H.264 which is not quite the same as AVCHD
FCE does not work with H.264 video; the video needs to be transcoded to QuickTime/Apple Intermediate Codec to be used in FCE (before being imported into FCE)
Two of the shooting modes in the AW100 are not supported in FCE:  1080p and iFrame

  • Lightroom 5 & lightroom iphone app import issues with iOS8

    hi guys,
recently i am having problems with importing iphone pics thru the lightroom app. for reasons i dont understand the images comes to lr in small resolution (640x852). if i work on the pic in the app- and save it to the camera roll the images in the app its full resolution. ideas?
Message was edited by: Ignacio Barrientos - updated title

You did not mention if it always were the same images that were not being synced in your original post.
    Hence the question.
Even though it might seem silly for you - those questions being answered can make us understand where the problem lies.
The problem can be that you have an app that shoots pictures that are causing the issue, etc.
Best way to help us and yourself would be:
letting us know if it always only happens to a specific set of images
if only specific set of images causes this - where did they come from, had they been edited somewhere else or where they untouched when you imported them to Lr mobile
be very specific in your posts, things like "if i work on the pic in the app- and save it to the camera roll the images in the app its full resolution. " Doesn't really help us to understand where you are seeing the full resolution image, leaving us to assumptions that can be wrong.
If your workaround is to edit the images that's good but it still doesn't solve your problem right?
What you can do is - next time you have this issue - go to the settings in Lr mobile (Lr icon inside the app) and once the settings are open, press the Lr icon again for a couple of seconds to get a diagnostics log.
Then send it to me privately, do not post here directly, and we can see if it lets us know whats going on.
    Thanks,
    Ignacio

  • Import Issues with PE7

I recently imported over 11,500 photos from my old computer to my new computer using Photoshop Elements 7. 98% of these images had descriptive tags or categories assigned. Unfortunatly, only about 400 of the tags remained in place after the import. I selected the option to save all "keyword tags" during the import but nothing was assigned to people, places or events when the import was completed.
What can I do to restore all the tags to these images short of manually adding them myself? Should I delete "my catalog" and start over by selecting another import option? Surely the tagged images have this information embedded in the file information.
Thanks in advance for any help offered.

I work with both Adobe Photoshop Elements 6 and 7 at my office.
What I have found works best for transferring between computers each with a different version of the program is to select the "write keyword info and properties info to files" option in the File menu. Photoshop allows you to do this with the original files so that once imported onto a new computer, it just brings the tags in as "imported keyword tags" which you can then assign to the different categories.
That said, if you're not importing from an older version of Photoshop Elements (or Album), you may not be able to do this. You would have to find a similar option in whichever program you were using earlier, then re-import the files into Photoshop.
    Hope this helps.

  • Import Issues with folders

    Runnnig Win7 Business with a IBM X300 and 2G, P8400.
I have tried to import 18000 pictures, but only got 400, so I started to do a folder by folder import and have notice that folders with pictures imported  will only import 25 pictures frequently and importing seems to stop afterwards.
(i.e. you can't do another import without restarting the program)
Tried this on my home machine Win 7 Home which has 4G with quad core Q8200 and the behavior is virtually identical.

Well, good to know on that point!
Perhaps you could mark this as answered?

  • Sony NEX 6 RAW import issues with Lightroom 4.3RC or 4.2

Hi all, having a problem with importing images from my Nex 6 or SD card. The image was taken using the 16-50 Sony Kit lens
Lightroom copies the images (RAW) files without a problem. However within lightroom the images get distorted as shown below. I have disabled all options such as lens or camera correction.
The exact same thing happens when I import the file in photoshop CS5 after converting it using DNG Converter.
The original file within the sony software is like this.

What you are seeing in LR is the actual lens-distortion recorded on the sensor.  What you’re seeing in the camera JPG is a in-camera-corrected image.  Adobe hasn’t gotten around to make a lens profile for your NEX-7 16-50 lens; however, there is one available from the user-community you can retrieve with the Adobe Lens Profile Downloader:
