Import JPEG - not allowed?

I have inserted the JPEGs in the project and than drag them to the sequence.

Usually, when one has an issue with a Still Image, it shows up during Import, and can relate to a few attributes of that Still Image, such as:
Color Mode - must be RGB and not CMYK, or several other Color Modes
The Bit-Depth is greater than 8-bit
The JPEG (only for JPEG's) is Progressive, which is a Web-specific attribute, that displays the image in greater and greater resolution, until it displays at full resolution.
The file's header is corrupt - happens more often with JPEG, than many other formats
However, those issues usually show up in Import, and not when dragging to the Timeline.

Solution discovered. Faulty connector cable. Tried a different one and it worked.

I am attempting to use home sharing to take all of my music from my PC to my new MacBook Air. I followed all of the directions listed on here about setting up home sharing, and everything seemed to be working fine until I got to the actual importing, which it will not allow me to do. Nevermind, I seem to have fixed the problem.

Can't import pictures, not allowed to save to Pictures folder.

No matter where I'm trying to import images from (card, hard drive), Aperture is denying the action, saying I don't have permission to save to the Pictures folder (where the Aperture library is).
I have repaired the database permissions and even rebuilt the database.
I have checked the read/write permissions for ALL my media and they are correct.
If I drag & drop an image file on the Aperture icon, the image will import.
Any idea what's going on?

What are your settings in the in Aperture's Import settings?
Have you checked, if the setting for "Store files" is still "In the Aperture Library"?
And what is the exact error message you are getting?
Aperture is denying the action, saying I don't have permission to save to the Pictures folder (where the Aperture library is).

How do you expect anyone to help when we don't know a darned thing about the file, abut your setup, exact version of Photoshop and your OS, machine specs, etc.?

ITunes 11.0.2 will not allow me to drag any files to import items between computers using Home Sharing. Help?

There are no "import" thumbnails and I'm un able to drag and drop files. I've ensured on both computers that they both have sharing capabilities. All the websites say that I should be able to just drag and drop the files into the outgoing computer linked to my homesharing network, but there is not reaction from the file when i try to grab it.Thanks everyone!

I can not find the "Show menu" button either!    I am trying to do Home Sharing between 2 PCs in the same room. The Home Sharing Libraries show up ok on each, with the various tunes displaying on each, but I can not move (or "import") tunes from one computer to the other!   It also won't allow me to drag from my husband's library to my library, and vice versa.    I can play them ok on each computer, but the dragging or importing is not happening.
Apple, please fix this!   Both PCs are up to date with iTunes 11.0.2.26.
Anyone have any suggestions?   I just want to move legally purchased music from one computer to the other. This shouldn't be that difficult.     It's supposed to be the point of Home Sharing!

In iTunes, go "Help > Run Diagnostics". Uncheck the boxes other than DVD/CD tests, as per the following screenshot:

When you get through to the final screen:

Window 8.1 is not allowing Elements Organizer 11 to import pictures from SD card into Organizer

After installing Windows 8.1, I am no longer able to import pictures from SD card into Organizer as Elements simply stops working after Import from Card reader is selected. Obviously I am shutdown from importing pictures.

Windows 8.1 is not allowing Elements Organizer 11 to import pictures from SD Card in card reader into Elements Organizer. The Elements Program goes to a blue circle and the program times out.
I have:
Tried different SD cards
Tried different card readers,
I can import off files or folders. However card reader does not show up on this menu within Elements.
There is obviously some workaround that could be contemplated BUT Elements Organizer cannot import from SD card in card reader and this is a very inconvenient situation. It worked fine in Windows 8.0.

Use File/Import/Movie and navigate to the file.

Flash CS4 does not allow importing .tif files

Hello, anyone know why Flash CS4 does not allow import .tif a few days to date. I worked very well and now he tells me something of a Swift 3D importer, but have not installed or that or any other programs lately, I also have QuickTime.
The truth is very strange that no permits, hopefully someone knows of that is due. Need help, please.

That's exactly what I'm doing (since using 1 Graphic Symbol instead of 2). In my current Flash work I have a bunch of Classic Tweens and those all worked. But when I try a Graphic Symbol that's a line of text, then it suddenly doesn't work (the timeline does change color with an arrow, but the text stays the same size with the exception of the second keyframe where it promptly turns into what's in that one). I even tried a random Classic Tween just now making a rectangle grow to make absolutely sure I wasn't doing something wrong, and that one worked immediately no problem.
And never mind that. Now it does work. I suppose I indeed did something wrong. Thank you very much for the help!
Say, one small question: does Adobe Flash have a function to properly set video clips after each other in one big video clip? Or do you have to manually count the frames and add the video clips at the proper frame yourself?

Import not allowed on nodes of type element declaration

I have 2 very simple transformation processes, consisting of:
1. hit a web service
2. filter the output
3. transform into a variable of type defined by a schema document
4. get the variable as a string
5. call another web service and pass the string
The processes are identical except for the variable type. One process works, the other fails when converting to a string. Here is the error message:

XPath expression failed to execute.
Error while processing xpath expression, the expression is "orcl:get-content-as-string(bpws:getVariableData("OutputDocument"))", the reason is import not allowed on nodes of type element declaration.
I can successfully use an xsl to convert the variable to a string, but when I utilize the assign activity, it produces the error above. Obviously, the schema files are different for the 2 variables, but I cannot see a problem. The schemas are both valid.
Has anyone encountered this error?

The cast does not throw an exception, but the resulting string is empty.
The problem is that I do not understand the error message. I am not sure what import it is referring to.

Shuffle 2G not allowing some songs to be imported

I just got my iPod Shuffle 2G this evening and while I was selecting songs to be on my shuffle I discovered that some songs were not importing. I drag a song to the shuffle in iTunes and it will not allow me to drop it. What is the issue? I've looked at some of the information of the songs not importing and some of them have lower bit rates such as 95, 127, and 191. What gives?

In doing some more investigating I've discovered MANY songs that simply will not import to the shuffle. Most of them have odd bit rates. I would be incredibly surprised if this has not been discussed before.
Does the 2G Shuffle not allow songs with "unusual" bit rates to be imported? I made a playlist that is significantly smaller than what the Shuffle can hold. There are 183 songs in the playlist and only 158 songs are on the Shuffle.
What would cause this? I converted some of the songs to AAC and then they imported correctly. Is this something I'm required to do on all my songs I want on my shuffle but will not import?

You know that you lost the layers when you saved it as a jpeg, right? But you're saying you can't add layers to the jpeg now when it's open in the editor? Go to Image>mode and be sure it's RGB, for starters. Are all the commands in the Layer menu grayed out?

You could export the bookmarks to an HTML file and import that file onto the other computers. Importing HTML files adds the bookmarks to the existing ones. This can result in duplicate bookmarks.
