Import layers to Edge Animate

How can a import layers from illustrator and fireworks to Edge Animate? Can anyone help me please!!!

Yes, i have tried already. I just thought that could be another way. I do
infographics, so i need to make the graphics and the rest with illustrator
first, and it takes some time to export all the elements individually with
svg format and then, get all the elements together in AN to finally do the
animation.
Sorry for my english mistakes

  • How to import PS layers in Edge animate

    Hi, I want to import PS layers in Edge but I dont know how... I know it in Illustrator...but there is a subtility that I dont know with Photoshop...Someone can help me ?

    You can use the script to save your layers unless your have groups. In that case I save my file as a second psd and in that one flatten my groups before exporting to files.

  • Imported SVG from Edge Animate not rendering properly in Safari

    Hi,
    We are having problems with an animation we created in Edge Animate, when we import it into Adobe Muse and then view it in Safari it becomes jagged and doesn't render properly.
    It works perfectly on Chrome, Firefox and when using a retina screen.
    We are using CC 2014 version now, previously when we used the old version of CC it worked on all browsers.
    Is there any settings we need to change when exporting from Edge or importing into Muse?
    Here is the link to the Animated SVG: Spining Wheel

    Thanks vivekuma that seems to work now using the below steps.
    1. In "Position and Size" subsection of the property panel, note down somewhere, the values of "X", "Y", "W" & "H" of an svg file used on stage.
    2. In "Transform" subsection of the property panel, change the CSS Transform ScaleX and ScaleY from 10% to 100%.
    3. The above change will change the values for "X", "Y", "W" & "H". So, you have to set their values as you have noted down in the first step.
    4. Repeat the first 3 steps for every svg file used on stage.

  • Importing from Adobe Edge Animate to Existing Project

    Hello!
    So I have a project that I have been working on in iAd producer for a iBooks widget and its coming along great.  However I am starting to bump into some limitations on the animation side of things that I can easily do within Adobe Edge Animate but am struggling with in iAd producer. Is there a way to import the animation from another project from a separate program like Adobe Edge Animate into iAd producer?  I feel like this should be straightforward since its all Javascript and HTML but I am not sure of the answer (been Googling for quite a bit and couldn't see a similar problem discussed).
    Thank you!
    Shawn

    Hello Shawn, Mark!
    I'm trying something like you, playing with Adobe Edge and trying to use the JS and HTML file it produces with iAd Producer, but I can't get it work.
    Have you finally got it working?

  • Sprite sheet from PhotoShop CC 2014 layers to Edge Animate?

    Hi
    The Photoshop CC 2014 script that takes layers and generates a sprite sheet to the latest Edge Animate does not appear to work correctly. Unless I"m missing something very obvious (that isn't in the instructions below provided by Adobe), it doesn't take the seperate layers and seperate them out correctly in the output png file.   Any suggestions? Thanks -  would LOVE a quick answer -
    http://blogs.adobe.com/edge/2014/09/18/export-sprite-sheet-from-adobe-photoshop/

    Hi Sharon
    You are right. Open the .jsx file in text editor of choice and change the function the following:
    function translateActiveLayer(deltaX, deltaY) {
        //see http://wwwimages.adobe.com/content/dam/Adobe/en/devnet/photoshop/pdfs/photoshop-cc-scripti ng-guide.pdf on how to use script listener.
        var desc = new ActionDescriptor();
        var ref = new ActionReference();
        ref.putEnumerated(charIDToTypeID("Lyr "), charIDToTypeID("Ordn"), charIDToTypeID("Trgt"));
        desc.putReference(charIDToTypeID("null"), ref);
        var coords = new ActionDescriptor();
        coords.putUnitDouble(charIDToTypeID("Hrzn"), charIDToTypeID("#Pxl"), deltaX);
        coords.putUnitDouble(charIDToTypeID("Vrtc"), charIDToTypeID("#Pxl"), deltaY);
        desc.putObject(charIDToTypeID("T   "), charIDToTypeID("Ofst"), coords);
        executeAction(charIDToTypeID("move"), desc, DialogModes.NO);
    Will PM you the updated script if needed. ( And also the blog post soon )

  • Can we import Flash into Edge Animate

    Hi
    I would like to know if we can import Flash animation into Edge Animate and into Muse

    Hi Dan,
    There is no such workflow as far as I know. However, Animate does support native HTML5 videos.

  • Adobe Edge Animate CC crashes when using big SVG images

    Hi!
    When I import SVG files to Edge Animate it freezes and I can't do something with that.
    I tried to import one file at a time and it worked fine but when I save project and close program and then open my project again Edge Animate just crashes.
    Also I tried to import very small images (100px x 100px) and then scale them to size I need and it causing app crash too.
    I'm using Mac OS X 10.9.4

    I already found cause of this problem.
    When you import SVG to Edge Animate it gives your SVG width and height 10 times more then original size of image and transform: scale(0.1). So when you import 5 SVG images 500x500 Adobe Edge makes them 5000x5000.
    So that's cause app freezing and bad SVG displaying in browsers.
    Always change scale(0.1) to scale(1) and reduce size from 5000px to 500px for example.
    Best regards,
    Alexey Prilovski.

  • How do I include a drop shadow effect when I import an Illustrator vector into Edge Animate?

    How do I include a drop shadow effect when I import an Illustrator vector into Edge Animate? It should be noted that I also have another effect (an extrude & bevel) applied which does copy over when I paste (or create an SVG and import) into Edge Animate. Any thoughts on why the drop shadow disappears but the extrude & bevel carries over?

    Which version of Illustrator are you using?
    In earlier versions of Illustrator it is not that easy to apply drop shadows with spot colours.
    Another reason why it's always important to tell which version of AI … well …

  • Pie chart created in edge animate changes to a square animation when imported into dps

    I Have created an animated pie chart in edge animate and all works fine.
    I then import into indesign and again all looks fine (even though at this stage it is a flat image) but when i export for dps and preview folio etc the animation turns from a circle to a square.
    Anyone have any pointers or experinced the same problem etc?
    Cheers

    The top image is a screen shot from edge and what it should be like, and the bottom image is of when you preview it in dps
    Also when i view this in browser via edge animate and then preview it seems fine and as you can see on the bottom image when i import the oam into indesign again it is fine but then when I come to preview my 'folio it turns the animation from a circle into a square.
    Also if its any help, the animation works perfectly if exported by epubs and viewed through ibooks.
    Thanks,

  • InDesign, Edge Animate and SVG import

    I created an Edge animation whose ultimate destination is for an iPad app authored in InDesign. To avoid any font issues and to make this viewable in all iPad flavors (retina), I imported three lines of text as well as a text logo as SVG files from Illustrator in to Edge Animate. All fonts were converted to paths:
    http://www.ampersandmiami.com/edge/
    The link above is what Edge created when publishing for web. It is indeed SVGs and they do appear as such in my desktop machine, on my ipad and on my iphone when I view it using Safari. When I pinch and zoom in, all is rasor sharp. Perfect.
    Here is the issue…
    I unzipped the .oam file Edge creates for import into InDesign. Just to make sure, all my SVGs are there in the images folder. Edge did not create raster versions of any of them. So far so good...
    But, when I place the .oam file in InDesign and preview the app on my ipad using the Aobe Content Viewer, the SVGs are rasterized. I zoom in and they are pixelated. Not good for retina ipads.
    Is there a way of importing my Edge animation and retaining the SVGs as vectors and not making them rasters? Is this an InDesign limitation?
    Any thoughts?

    Unfortunately not at the moment. This is a known issue with Edge placement in InDesign.

  • I am trying to import external CSS in Edge Animate, Has anyone got a "simple" example showing this working that I could have a look at?

    I am trying to import external CSS in Edge Animate, Has anyone got a "simple" example showing this working that I could have a look at?

    Hi Vivek,
    Thanks a lot for replying, actually i am creating a short LAMP animation. In which i used Blur filter on the fire flares(SVG images), everything works just fine on google chrome, but for IE10 & Firefox the filter seems not working, so i need to know is it possible to override the fallbacks for the Blur Filter through external StyleSheet.
    IE10 & firefox rendered Image, blur filter not working             Google Chrome rendered Image, blur filter working perfectly
    So, can you please guide me, what shall i do in maintaining quality of my graphics as well while such animation's.

  • Import Edge Animate compositions into In Design

    Hi, how do I import Edge Animate compositions into In Design..? Cheers
    p.s. perhaps i should have added: my main interest is to have the animate project imported to have it load in the adobe viewer for digital publishing. up until now I'd linked the html overlay from the standard Edge app. One of the things that caught my eye under the features for Edge animate was:
    Digital Publishing support
    Import Edge Animate compositions into the Adobe Digital Publishing Suite with Adobe InDesign CS6, or into Apple iBooks Author.
    How I proceed: as per the help/resources:
    Publish as Animate Deployment Package (.oam)
    Select this export option to create a package file of your project for use in other Adobe tools. The following tools support Animate Deployment Packages: Adobe Digital Publishing Suite (DPS), InDesign CS6, Dreamweaver CS6, and Muse.
    Select File > Publish Settings.
    In the Publish Settings dialog box, make sure Animate Deployment Package is selected as the publish target.
    Note or change the target directory.
    (Optional) Specify a poster image.
    Click Save to save the publish settings, or click Publish.
    but all i get is
    Content generation error.
    [Error: Invalid URL for Web Content Overlay]

    Here is a walkthrough on Adobe Dev Connectings - http://www.adobemarketing.com/devnet/digitalpublishingsuite/articles/enhancing-your-dps-fo lios-with-edge-animations.html
    The only difference in that walthrough is the reference to in the Publish Settings: in Adobe Edge Animate v1, its now called 'Animate Deployment Package' instead of 'Indesign/DPS'.

  • Edge animate crashes once video imported

    hi
    I'm trying to import a video into edge timeline. It imports fine and works exactly how i want on the timeline, but if i close and reopen the file edge immediately crashes, its only when i add video that this happens.
    can anyone help?
    Emily

    Hi,
    Thanks for getting back to me.
    As mentioned before, I know how to resize the video – the problem was that once it comes in incorrectly, the visible aspect ratio (black area) cannot be changed.  To help clarify, here’s a summary of exactly what happens:
    When I import the video, no matter what size or aspect ratio it actually is, it comes in at 320x45 – but the black image area is 90x45 (a 2:1 aspect ratio).  See attached image.
    When I resize the video to the correct frame size, the grab handles extend to the proper size, but the black image area remains at the 2:1 aspect ratio.  See the image in this discussion provided on October 2, showing a 720x405 video with the black area still at 2:1 (720x360).
    Since I didn’t hear back from you, I did some additional testing.  Even though the black area indicates an incorrect aspect ratio, if the video is resized to the proper frame size, it plays properly – filling the entire frame represented by the grab handles. So, the bug doesn’t affect how the video plays when previewing the project in a browser, it only affects how it appears when working with it in Edge Animate.
    At this point, I’ll consider the issue closed since I’ve discovered I can work around it.  I hope the info in this discussion can assist anyone else who encounters this issue.  However, I would appreciate your team looking into why video comes in at an incorrect size, and why the black image area appears incorrectly.  This makes it difficult to line things up when working with the video in Edge Animate.
    Thanks again for your attention to this issue and for your assistance.

    - Joel

  • Import flash animation into edge animate

    Hi,
    I need to import a flash vector cartoon style animation into edge animate, do you know how can I do it?
    Kind regards,
    eugenxi

    Hi eugenxi,
    You can use the Export Png Sequence feature included with Flash CS6 to export a series of pngs from your symbol animation (tut by Tom Green):
    http://layersmagazine.com/png-sequence-from-flash-cs6.html
    Then import the pngs to Fireworks, and use John Dunning's plugin to export a symbol directly to Edge Animate:
