Import metadata file for FDM

When I import the metadata file (including mapping) for FDM, I find that the mapping are not replacing the existing ones, but merging instead.
Is there a way to clear all the mapping tables before importing the new metadata xml file ? Thanks.

Hi,
You can log into the FDM web console, and Delete mappings for each dimension in the Activities -> Maps screen.
There is a Delete All button located on this screen. Note - this deletes by dimension.

I have the latest adobe creative cloud and i'm using Mac 10.8.2
My client gave me a wmv file that she wants some people blurred out in the background but when I go to import the media, it's greyed out. I'm assuming that After Effects will be the best solution for this, but maybe there is another way.
I can purchase a video converter and convert it to .mov but that costs extra money that I don't want to spend just to do this one project.

Importing Script file for speech analysis - error message

I'd love to get some assistance to get past an error message in Premiere Pro CC, "Matching scene number not found". However, I've named the scene number and the clip to match, simply as "1". What am I missing? NOTE: the scene is 33 pages long as this is a long speech that I've transcribed and would like to match up to the video clip . . . just in case that is an issue that someone has experienced in the past. But I'm hoping length of clip isn't a problem (as this is a typical work flow scenario for me).

Import PST files for multiple users at the same time?

While importing PST files into archive mailboxes, the Exchange 2010 mailbox server went to 100% CPU and memory usage and I could not stop the imports because the EMS stopped responding. We had to restart the whole server to get back to normal.
Not sure if importing PSTs was the cause of it it was a coincidence. We have done imports the same way before without this issue.
How many PST imports can be done at the same time and how do we queue up multiple users and have the mailbox imports have unique names for each user? I noticed they are always called MailboxImport and MailboxImport1 and then it starts over as MailboxImport
again for additional users. So, if more than one user's PSTs are being imported at the same time, we will have multiple identically named imports running.
We would like multiple users' PST imports to queue up and start automatically when the previous users' imports complete.

Please try like this. Rename folder name same as alias. i.e. \\server\share\<alias>. below are examples.
"\\server\share\jsmith"
"\\server\share\tjones"
"\\server\share\rsmith"
"\\server\share\bspears"
"\\server\share\mmouse"
And run below command to take PST from the corresponding

If a folder missing with the alias you will see an error similar to this.I think this will work for you. You just keep only the required PST folders to import in the "\\Server\share" folder.

After you have created your java mapping class, export your project to a .jar file and import this .jar into Imported Archives (under Mapping node) in Integration Repository.

WS-Federation metadata file for SelfSTS1 in ACSwithLocalSTS lab seems to be bad

Task 4 in this lab adds two Identity Providers SelfSTS1 and SelfSTS2. The form that defines SelfSTS1 WS-Federation metadata, references the lab file
Source\Assets\SelfSTS1\FederationMetada.xml - and saving this form results with an error (see below)
Editing this xml file (to replace http:// with https:// does not solve the problem as processing this "corrected" metadata file results with a more generic error message - like "error processing metadata file". It likely means that the metadata file hash
is stored somewhere.
If my analysis is correct, can I get the correct metadata files - as I would really like to finish this lab and use it in my application. It would also be helpful to get the information about how these two STS applications were created.

Hi Kevin,
If you had applied Patch 15 earlier and imported the initial files, then no need to upload it again after patch 15.5 it will use same Patch15 initial files.
If you are going directly to SP15 patch5 from 14 or below, check if you are taking correct files. This issue comes when we import wrong files say ERM files into CUP or so.

Using Power Query to import image files for Power View

I am trying to use Power Query to import image data from a SQL Azure database for use in Power View. I've selected both the source image table and the ?images table in the workbook query. The files seem to load as binary data in the Power
Query editor but when loaded to the data model with Power Pivot, the field becomes "text" type rather than binary. Does anyone know the procedure to use PowerQuery to load image files into PowerPivot?

We currently do not support loading binary data from Power Query into the Power Pivot data model. This is something we'd like to address soon. For now, you will need to use the Power Pivot import capabilities if you want to achieve this.

Import-csv file for robocopy

I am using a powershell script which imports a csv file to copy directories.
Since the folders which I need to copy contain spaces I use double quotes in the csv file.
Although I don't get the right syntax when I use import-csv
Either there are too many quotes in the source and/or destination folder or too few quotes.
the robocopy command should work fine if there are quotes at the beginning and the end of each folder.
So I started with the following syntax in my csv file:
source;destination
"source folder";"destination folder"
If I run the import-csv command with the content listed above it only shows double quotes at the destination folder.
so I started adding additonal double quotes around the source folder, it seems toe be an easy thing, but I didn't find the correct amount of double quotes to get the source and destination folder both starting and ending with double quotes.
any suggestion how to fix this ?

The script I posted was just an example of how to enclose the data in quotes, since the quotes are removed when importing a csv, they are only there for the purpose of the data containing a comma (,). So now we need to put them back since, your paths contains
spaces and breaks your robocopy.

After I import the csv file, I send it over to the Foreach-Object cmdlet, this takes pipeline data and processes it. the $_ is the current object on the pipe line, hence me doing $_.Source

Now by looking at your script I am assuming that all the source and destination paths in your csv are \somepath\somepath\.... since the srchome and dsthome do not have a ending \??

Importing Conguration File for RV042

I need to write an application that will access the router remotely and import the exp config file. Is there a SDK or web request on the router or anything I can do to accomplish this? We have hundreds of routers to go through an production line to import our predefined settings before sending them to the field and importing them manually is not desired.

Looking into documentation for this for you, but doubt we have such a thing for this product. However, maybe you can look at a trace and build your own HTTP message based on what you see happening when you do actions on the router GUI....

Import Word files for graphics-subtitles

I am creating a number of titles slides in FCP with bullit lists and simple strategies that pop up through out the video.
We are doing both an english and spanish versions. Our editor would like to send me all titles from Microsoft Word to import
to FCP to avoid me retyping all of them. Is this a doable approach? If not Word would another program work better?

Turns out that we were the first ones to actually use DVD SP's subtitling. Had to change with it over the years.
You can build a spreadsheet file to do the whole thing. It's ok to use unicode, the mac will handle it all.
Nowadays I use Sublime to do the whole thing. Saves my life and it's relatively cheap. One of the great failings of the subtitling process in DVDSP is the inability to save the final file (in DVDSP) and move it to different projects. You end up making a portable file in the STL format and moving that one around. Sublime will use templates to which you can add additional languages. I also use text templates that let me take a single subtitle, or groups of them, and move them around on the screen (oh, say, to the upper left or right, or just high enough to miss the title bar). Can add color and all sorts of stuff.

I am getting the error the below error while importing the file in FDM. I have read and write access to the folder. I tried loading text and excel files, I am getting the same error.

I have Oracle Database and the version is 11.1.0.7; So even for this version do I need to have SQLLDR.exe on the server where FDM is installed.

How to import metadata from Address Book on external hard drive to new laptop running OSX 10.8.3?

My old MacBook died a painful death. I retrieved the hard drive and have it in a portable enclosure that has a USB connection. I can see the old Address Book on it, but when I transfered the Address Book application to my new MacBook Pro running OSX 10.8.3, the application will transfer, but it won't open because it is not supported on the newer MacBook. I searched around the old hard drive for any files that could be related to the Address Book contact data. I found metadata files for each of my contacts. I can get the metadata to transfer to the new MacBook, but I can't seem to do anything with it.
I tried using Migration Assistant, doing it manually, trying to import the metadata using "import" feature on the new version of Address Book. Can't seem to find anything that works.
Any suggestions? Thank you in advance.

If you open a contacts database from an earlier version of OS X, the data should be imported automatically. Is that what you tried to do?
