Import Metadata for Composite Form

Hi,
using Smart View for Office Ver 11.1.2.1 i've downloaded a composite form ( that contains 3 simple form and the composite itself) from one (Development) environment on an excel file.
Now i'd wish to use the same  excel on a different (Test) environment.
I've tried to use the functionality Import  Metadata, but i'm able to import only one sheet at a time thus losing the syncronized POV of the entire Workbook.
The aim of the import metadata is to keep the syncronized POV for the composite.
Is it possible with this version of Smartview ? Is it possible with any version of SmartView ?
Regards

I've not tried that with form, but with adhoc essbase connection.
I'm not sure whether it works across environments. The purpose of import metadata is to keep the connection information, POV, alias etc

  • Urgent: Error during Import Metadata for IDoc

    Hi
      We successfully imported the metadata for IDoc from R/3 in Development and Test box and everything worked fine.
    Now, when we try to import the metadata for IDoc in Production box it gives me an error" Basic type 'IDoc name' does not exist". I went back to the development box and I try to import some other Idoc metadata and it gives me the above error message.
      I checked RFC destination, IDX1 and everything seems to works fine. Any suggestions will be helpful.
    Thanks
    Mohan

    Hi Mohan,
    Did you execute IDX2? And if so, please delete existing meta data for port and reimport, if you still receive an error check your R/3 connections (SM59) and port definitions in the receiver IDOC channel (directory)!
    Cheers,

  • Data Services Cannot import metadata for Datastore

    Hi folks, Bit of an issue that is driving me nuts.
    I am running Data Services XI 3.2 latest patch installed. I have everything configured correctly I believe. I am using the mysql instance installed with my BOE XI install as this is my test sandbox that I am learning data services on.
    Running through the tutorial, when I create data stores for both my target and source i have no problems, but when I try to import the meta data for these data stores I receive no results. I cannot see anything wrong in my setup. I can add the tables manually and then I see the metadata, so I do have a work around to keep working through the tutorial. I would just like to resolve this issue since its driving me nuts.
    Any help on where to begin would be appreciated.

    not specific to DS:
    ORA-01437: cannot have join with CONNECT BY
    Cause: A join operation was specified with a CONNECT BY clause. If a CONNECT BY clause is used in a SELECT statement for a tree-structured query, only one table may be referenced in the query.
    Action: Remove either the CONNECT BY clause or the join operation from the SQL statement
    Arun asked the right questions as this seems to be Oracle version specific, sound like you might be using 8.x

    Then i start creating RPD in offline mode when i click on import meatdata after that Import meatadata- select datasource screen i choose ODBC 3.5 and choose the
    same DSN which i check previously and give the same user id and password it is giving me error The connection has failed.I also tried using OCI 10g/11g and in data source name i give the full connection string and giv the user id and password but still the problem remain same.
    Can anyone please help me in debugging the issue.

    Hi everyone,
    A few days ago I installed the Administration and Clients OBIEE11g tools on my machine. To do so follow these steps:
    - Install Weblogic Server 10.3.3
    - Install OBIEE 11g using 'Software Only'.
    I selected this installation because BI Server is installed on a Linux server.
    In the machine on which I installed previously existed the following products:
    - Oracle Client 10.2
    - Oracle ODBC Driver 10.2.0.2
    When trying to import Metadata into the repository, using Administrative tool in OBI 11g the import fails with both, ODBC and OCI drivers. Always the same error appears: “The connection has failed.”
    I created the tnsnames.ora file (which points to the database) in the path [Middleware Home] \ OracleBI1 \ network \ admin.
    I tried to import metadata for replacing the DSN connection string. For this I have followed this syntax: (DESCRIPTION = (ADDRESS_LIST = (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP) (HOST = [ip_address]) (PORT = 1521))) (CONNECT_DATA = (SID = [db_name ]))). But it does not import metadata. Always the same error appears: 'The connection has failed. "
    Can anyone help?
    Thanks in advance.

  • How to suppress "no valid rows of data" warning for composite Planning Form

    I had an issue with using a 2-grid composite webform. I want to show Substitution Variables along with my primary grid. My secondary grid was created using Substitution Variables for rows, columns, and page dimensions. I am hiding all of the segments but not suppressing missing for rows or columns.
    The problem is that I get the message "There are no valid rows of data for this data form" on the composite form due to my secondary grid (the Substitution Variable grid). Any tricks on how to suppress that? I even tried to add some data to an intersection, but, even with data, hiding the segments seems to bring on the warning message.
    Thanks.

    That can be caused if suppress on columns is on. We usually ignore the column part
    Even after all suppression is turned off and still getting the error, then yes it is could be because there is not data for that intersection.

  • Declaration for smart form importing structure

    Hi to all experts,
    I have to create a structure for smart form to declare it in the smart form interface (importing ) .The structure should be of the type below. I tried but getting type mismatch dump ....please help
    DATA: BEGIN OF ZISEG OCCURS 20.
            INCLUDE STRUCTURE ISEG.
    DATA: BTEXT LIKE T064B-BTEXT.
    DATA: GIDAT LIKE IKPF-GIDAT.
    DATA: MAKTX LIKE MAKT-MAKTX.
    DATA: STEXT LIKE T064T-STEXT.
    DATA: NAME1 LIKE T001W-NAME1.
    DATA: END OF ZISEG.

    Hi Abdul,
    sorry my answer was incomplete.You need to declare two structures,one for u r data retrival(including other 4 fields) and other for the smartform(same as DDIC structure).After retrieving you need to transfer the data from one table to other.
    Hope u got what Iam trying to say,if not PLZ rewert back.

  • Best camera for compositing

    I don't know if that's the best place to ask this but anyway ... I'm considering buying a HD camera for some short-movies and other minor projects but since I'm also interested in studying Shake, I'd like to know which specification I should take a closer look at for maximum results when doing compositing/etc ? Or in other words which of these specs are more important for compositing work ?
    Color spacing ? (DVCPRO HD's 4:2:2 vs HDV's 4:2:0) ? High resolution (XLH-1 and JVC HD100's high res vs HVX200's lower res) ? Sharpness ? Progressive chip ? And how do you compare (for compositing purposes only) these flavors of HD with Super 16mm shot on a pin-registered camera using a sharp lens and Spirit datacine ?
    (I mentioned these codecs before but my idea is to move to uncompressed for this kind of work)
    Appreciate any help.

    I would guess that most of our elitists (humor here :)) would say that mini-DV is crap and HDV is just a larger form of said crap due to the high compression needed to get all that HDV data onto a mini-DV tape.
    Having said that, I soley use an HDV cam (Sony HVR-A1U). I always shoot HDV and in cam downconvert when capturing into FCP.
    If I had had the money and transport (inconspicuous travel) wasn't my thing, I would have gone with that Panasonic P2 one (can't remember the name) or another true HD cam.
    But, I'm extremely happy with my choice. When the money is there I'll add the HD cam and use my A1 as a second an my travel cam.

  • Are there REST APIs to retrieve entity metadata for  eloqua objects?

    There is a list of all the objects which can be accessed by REST for CRUD in this link: REST API - Documentation for Core Objects under the Core Objects section.
    For each of the objects listed under the  Core Objects section are there is a field metadata under the Properties section.
    For example for Email object, REST API - Accessing Emails , under the Properties section, there corresponding entries for fields of Emails object under the
    Name ,Type, Description and Validations headings.
    Is there a REST API for retrieving the same information i.e. the field metadata for an eloqua object programmatically ?
    If not , it is a serious hindrance to building systems that are metadata driven and also since SOAP support is being deprecated...

    Metadata is 'top level' information on the object, and available whether you query the individual object (a single form, or email asset) or query for multiple objects of that type (list all forms, list all emails). Consider using a depth of minimal or partial for faster performance if the specific configuration of those objects is not important..
    Example:
    GET /assets/forms?depth=minimal&count=2
    Returns:
      "elements":
        "type":"Form",
        "currentStatus":"Draft",
        "id":"19",
        "createdAt":"1409623550",
        "createdBy":"8",
        "depth":"minimal",
        "folderId":"7",
        "name":"zzztestCS_3-9381543541_AutocompleteTest",
        "permissions":"fullControl",
        "updatedAt":"1409623623",
        "updatedBy":"8"
        "type":"Form",
        "currentStatus":"Draft",
        "id":"22",
        "createdAt":"1409781207",
        "createdBy":"11",
        "depth":"minimal",
        "folderId":"466",
        "name":"daisychain1",
        "permissions":"fullControl",
        "updatedAt":"1412779449",
        "updatedBy":"20"
      "page":1,
      "pageSize":2,
      "total":130
    Without limiting the count to 2, this would return up to 1000 results if you had multiple forms in your system and give you a basic top level view of each. Similarly, you can use GET /assets/form/{id}?depth=minimal to get the same sort of information.
    Other endpoints can be found on the REST livedocs page here (requires authentication):

    Hello,
    I am new to ADF, I am trying to learn how to navigate from one page to another, the code that I have is simple, but it is not working, I specified the control flow rules in the adfc-config.xml and I even tried to specify the navigation rules in the faces-config.xml file, but it doesn't matter if I do it in one configuration file or another I get the same error.  This is my first time working with ADF, I don't have formal training, just some video tutorial that I have seen on internet.  I have previous experience with JSF, so I feel more comfortable writing the code for my program than using all the graphical tools (at least at this moment)

    User, tell us your jdev version, please!
    What is your goal?
    What you have find had nothing to do with ADF. If you ent to learn adf then I recommend to work through find of the tutorials available on the jdev home page.
    If adf is not your goal, you might want to use Trinidad and ask your question in their forum.
    You might not like the declarative approach adf uses, but if you want to learn how to use adf, you have to understand how ADF works. Most can be done using java, but one you understand the framework you see the advantage.

  • Import Metadata

    I have exported all metadata from MediaPro (formerly iView/Expression Media) into a text file. This metadata contains information about labels, people, ratings, etc. I need to import that data into my files in Lightroom 3. I tried Metadata -> Import Keywords... However, all it does is taking the first column (file name) of the several 10,000s pictures and list them under "Keyword List". What I need is that for each file it takes the column
    "People" (MediaPro)                   and puts it into      "Person Shown" (LR)
    "Label" (a number in MediaPro)   and puts it into      Label (a color in LR)
    etc.
    How can I achieve this?

    I've not tried that with form, but with adhoc essbase connection.
    I'm not sure whether it works across environments. The purpose of import metadata is to keep the connection information, POV, alias etc

    Celvin

  • [oim11g r1] trouble importing metadata

    Dear Gurus,
    there is a trouble when I want to import metadata (data set/object form) using command:
    ./weblogicImportMetadata.sh
    Error message:

    Any solution for this? I've checked the weblogic.properties content and looks like there's nothing wrong with it.

    Answering own question:
    Solved, there's some mistake in the dataset.xml file.
    Missing text: "operation = "PROVISION">". Sorry to bother.

  • Error while importing : /metadata/iam-features-ldap-sync/LDAPUser.xml

    Hi,
    I am unable to import modified Oracle Identity Manager metadata. I am using OIM 11.1.1.5 on Windows Server 2007 EE.
    I am trying to use the import/export functionality via EM.
    I am able to export the LDAPUser.xml file from */metadata/iam-features-ldap-sync/LDAPUser.xml,* have made changes to it but when I am importing it back I am getting the error :
    Error occurred while executing operation.
    MDS-00001: exception in Metadata Services layer
    MDS-01059: document with the name /metadata/iam-features-ldap-sync/LDAPUser.xml missing in the source metadata store
    The values of the parameters in the import MDS operations are :
    fromLocation : E:/MDS/import/ +(On the physical server hosting the OIM)+
    docs : */metadata/iam-features-ldap-sync/LDAPUser.xml*
    restrictCustTo:
    excludeAllCust: false
    excludeBaseDocsan : false
    excludeExtendedMetadata : false
    cancelOnException : true
    I have tried using the command line script as well, It runs without a hitch but when I try and import back, it gives me the same old unedited document.
    Has anyone been successful with this approach ?
    Regards,

    Yes, I have. But still the same issue. It seem to run fine using the weblogicImportmetadata.bat fine but when I export and check the updated file, I still get back the original.
    Here's what I get on runnung the weblogicImportmetadata.bat file
