Import metadata to hpcm

Question

Hello,
How can I import staging, driver, assignment metadata from .txt or .ads datafile. Is there any way to accomplish.

Hi Tural,
The below steps guide to till the deployment of metadata and PCM Application. After that Creating and assigning the Stage, Model, Drivers are big process. I would suggest you to go step by step process for better understanding. Please refer HPCM admin and user guides for remaining things.
Step 1: Login to workspace
Enter User Name and Password
Step 2: Go to navigate Menu
Select Administer > Dimension Library.
Step 3: From the File menu, select New > Application.
The Application Creation window displays:
     •     In the Name field, type Bikes Y
     •     In the Type field, select Profitability.
     •     Click Create Blank Application.
     •     Click Finish.
Step 5: Create a Profile
From the File menu, select Import > Create Profile.
The New Profile dialog displays:
Step 6. In the Profile Name field, type Bikes Y
In the Import Type field, select Flat File
In the Application field, select Bikes Y
In the Filename field, click Browse.
     Select the .ads backup file
     Navigate to and select Bikes2.ads.
     Click Open in the Choose File dialog.
     Click Upload in the File Input dialog.
     Click OK in the New Profile dialog.
     In the Column Delimiter field, select (or type) | (the “pipe” symbol).
Step 7:
Select and Map Dimensions
     Click Create dimensions for the non-mapped dimensions with the source dimension name.
     Click Select All.
     Click Finish.
     A dialog confirming the creation of the profile
     Click yes to execute the profile.
     A Job Task dialog displays with ID and check the status in Task Monitor Profile
          Until wait for Job completion
Step 8:
Open Dimension Library and Refresh
Step 9:
Deploy the HPCM Application
     Until wait for Job completion
Step 10:
After the job completes, close the Job Console window.
In the Application library, the Summary panel shows that the Status of the Bikes Y application is “In sync with deployment”
