Import movie into a flash document - Import password required???

Guys,
I am pretty green to Flash, so bare with me.
I purchased a flash (.fla) document from istockphoto, and wishes to place it inside a flash project.
So basically, I saved as a swf, and tried to import into my library, but was asked for a pw (import password required).
What is this? Is this a safety device from istockphoto in order to avoid such use? I paid for the file.
Or is this a Flash requirement that I do not know?
What can I do?
HELP!!!

Chances of getting an answer will be better if you ask in the Flash forum - this is the Flash Player forum.

  • How do I import quicktime MOV. into CS4 Flash

Basically I edited a video in Premiere CS4 and exported it as a MOV file. Since you can't export it as a SWF file in Premiere I decided to take it into Flash however I am unable to import it into Flash.
The goal is to export it to a swf file so I can embed the movie into a PDF presentation I am putting together.
    Can anyone help with this!

I just converted a wmv file into swf by first opening it in Quicktime (first I had to buy Quicktime Pro to export it to mov and Flip4mac to get it open in the first place, so you're ahead of the game). Then I went into the Adobe Media Encoder that comes with CS4 and converted it into a flv file from there. Then I went into flash and used 'import video', and saved it as a swf file, posted both into my website folder, and saved the skin that it generated into the main website folder where the html file is, it wouldn't show the buttons until I moved it.
    Hope that helps.

  • CS3 Photograph won't move into a blank document!!

I have been using photoshop CS3 on my macbook pro for about four months now, and one of the things I do the most is create new documents and move photos into them with the move tool. I have never changed any of the original settings, at least as far as I'm aware...but now the move tool does not work to move photos to a blank document. I can't figure it out for the life of me and apparently it costs $40 to have someone tell me over the phone so if anyone out there has any idea what can help me, please let me know! Thank you!

Multichannel? Index color? What do you mean it doesn't work anymore? You could try resetting the prefs or the move tool as well.

  • Importing a seperate flash document

Hi, I'm trying to import another Flash file into my Flash
document. What im trying to import is a file with script that
handles email, so a "contact form", but i want this to sit in my
original file? I've tried searching for: MovieClipLoader classes in
Flash but with no luck. Bit of a novice here so could really do
    with a heads up.
    Really appreciate some advice.
    Thanks

Try loadMovie() or loadMovieNum() to load external SWF files
    into or
    onto another Flash movie.

Where did you search?? It's covered in the Flash help file.

Handling different timelines and the whole referencing
    involved is not
something I'd suggest doing as a beginner.
The problem I foresee is that the email script might work on
    its own,
but stop working as soon as you have loaded that movie into
    the first.
That has to do with variable scope and will give you
    headaches at first.
Maybe MovieClip._lockroot helps you avoid digging too deep.
    Check the
    manual for details.

  • Delaying Flash Document Loading

I'm working on a site that has multiple small flash documents
within each page, and I was wondering if it is possble to delay the
second .swf from loading until the first one has finished loading
(or playing)? Is there a behavior or code for something like this?
I have preloaders built into both flash documents so they're
supposed to have all the frames loaded before they play, but it
doesn't quite seem to be doing that. The first one is only maybe
35-40 frames long, and once it plays thru it stops on a frame and
stays there. The other doc is a loop and it seems like if the short
one can play first and come to a stop the second might load easier.
    Any ideas?

    No.
How heavy are your Flash elements? That's the problem....

  • Importing movie into Flash

Does anyone have any knowledge of importing movies into
    flash?
I have a movie streaming in my flash file but when some
people open the exe they only see black when the movie should be
showing. And some others can see the movie. Any thoughts?

you can import them as an image sequence, then create a movie
clip out of it. File-->import-->import to stage.. Then select
all the images, and it something should pop up asking if you are
trying to create an image sequence, select yes.

  • Can I import Director movies into Flash?

    Hi,
Can Flash handle Director movies? I am making a presentation
of my artworks in Flash environment; I have both Flash and Director
movies. I know that I can import all my swf movies into Director
MX2004 to create a standalone projector and play both swf an ddir
movies. Does it work for the reverse?
    Thanks
    Uti

No, you can't import or display Director movies in Flash in
    any way. Best
you can do is launch the Director executable from the Flash
    movie, though
how you do this depends on which version of Flash you are
    using.

  • Can we import a Director movie into Flash ?

I'm exploring a possibility of importing a Director movie into Flash or if it is possible to import a published Director movie into Flash.
    Anticipating your reply....
    Thanks,

As I may have mentioned in the other thread where you asked this, No.  You can not.  You can import a flash swf into Director but you can not import anything from Director into Flash.

  • Importing Director movies into Flash

My short Q, which I suspect is a FAQ though it doesn't appear
on the Director or Flash FAQs on the Macromedia (sorry, Adobe ;-))
site, is: how can you import Director movies (source .dir, or
published .dcr) into a Flash movie?
I had thought this would be simple, that Flash would have an
import filter for Shockwave movies, as after all both products come
from the same stable and you can import .swf movies into Director,
but not so, at least in my copy of Flash 8. Neither can Director
export as a .swf - the only export format that might just work is
.avi but I'm damned if I want to create a big video file just to
reuse a snippet from a Director movie. I did a quick Google search
for DCR->SWF converters but couldn't see anything obvious to
    use.
The reason I'm bothered about this is that we've produced a
lot of e-learning material in Director (a good third of our
    learning objects at
    http://www.nottingham.ac.uk/nursing/sonet/rlos/rlolist.html
use Shockwave movies) and although we've now moved on to Flash,
occasionally we want to be able to reuse snippets from Director
movies in Flash movies. It would be disappointing, to put it
mildly, were we not able to move content between software
applications produced by the same company...
    TIA for any answers/suggestions.
    Cheers

I feel your pain an don't know what's going to happen with
Director now that Adobe is involved.
You mentioned that you could export as avi, could you copy
the scenes in which you want to use into a new director file,
export that as an avi and conver t that to an flv?
    Just a thought.

  • Is there some way to import image files directly into an open document?

Is there some way of importing a series of image files, say jpegs, directly into an open document, rather than having to open all the image files and having to drag and drop each individual one into the open document? Specifically, I'm a dentist and I often get digital xray images emailed to me from other offices. But they come as 16 or 18 individual image files and I have to put them into a virtual "xray mount", so I can view them all at once, rather than having to open all the images and toggle among them. So I open a blank document in PS (CS4), then I navigate to the folder containing all the image files I received, select all of them and open them all. Back in PS, I now have to select each image tab and drag the image into the blank "mount" and close the image. That new image then becomes its own layer in the "mount" document. But I have to repeat this 18 times for each patient! I was thinking if there was a way to open the new "mount" document then select all the image files and somehow "import" all the image files directly into document - essentially "automate" the process - that'd save me BOATLOADS of time and aggravation! Anyone out there have any suggestions? Thanks alot!! Dr. G.

Thanks, Curt! When u say "animate" do u mean File | Automate...? Inside Automate, I can't find "Make Frames from Layers"...if you do mean "Animate" I can't find that menu. Zeno replied with a BRILLIANT clarification:
<<Yes, but after you've got all your images as layers in a new document you can simply Select->All Layers and then drag them all to your document in one fell swoop.>>
I tried that and it works like a charm! I select all 20 layers in the new document that "stacking" creates and just drag them all onto the virtual "mount" document. That's it! Then I just move each of these layers around as I would otherwise...it's just 1 click and 1 drag/drop. Unless someone comes up with a way to actually "import" all the images directly into the "mount" document, I think this appears to be the most efficient route to follow.
I really appreciate your guys' assistance! It's so great that you guys monitor the forum and help us out with our Photoshop problems! What an awesome program it is, right?
    Thx again!

  • Importing SWF Into CS4 Flash Stage Results in text errors

I have a inDesign CS4 (.4 update) exported SWF that behaves badly when it is imported into Flash Pro CS4 (.2 update).
Hyphens in the text on word breaks are being changed into question marks. Font used is Arial.
The SWF ( attached) views fine in Flash Player 10, but produces the errors when imported to the stage. I have tried all settings (Text to Vector Paths, Text to Flash text) but the result is the same. Rasterizing the text is unacceptable because text quality is severely reduced on zooming the Flash document.
If you try importing the attached SWF to a blank file stage, you will see the errors on page 3.
So far, the only fix I have is creating all text in flash.
    Any ideas?

Did you read the original post?
I'm creating an Emagazine in InDesign CS4. There is no option to imbed fonts in the exported SWF, nor should there be any need there as the same computer system is creating the flash magazine. I have tried both Arial and Times fonts with the same end result. The Emagazine works just fine with the exception of the font issue.
In the original post, I also attached examples of the issue. If you open the SWF in Flash player, it shows the correct fonts. Once imported to the stage in Flash CS4, the errors appear.

  • How can I import a movie into iMovie 09 from a hard drive?  The movie will open and play in idvd but breaks into separate files that can't be downloaded when I try to import.  Can it be done?

How can I import a movie into iMovie 09 from a hard drive?  The movie will open and play in idvd but breaks into separate files that can't be downloaded when I try to import.  Can it be done? I am trying to create a disc of player highlights for a collegiate coach, and I am using movie files downloaded to my hard drive from a DVD created on a PC.

No unfortunately it won't open in quicktime either.  It does the same thing that Imovie does, separates it into two file folders audio and video, and if i select video it opens to reveal 8 files that cannot be selected.  VIDEO_TS.BUP, VIDEO_TS.IFO, VIDEO_TS.VOB,VTS_01_0.BUP, VTS_01_0.IFO, VTS_01_1.VOB, VTS_01_2.VB, VTS_01_3.VOB.  All of which cannot be opened or selected.
Opening it in Idvd and folllowing your suggestion works and I get a format code of NTSC.  Is that the same?  Thank you for your time and response.

  • Is there a way to import a .pdf into a pages document and have it wrap to a 2nd page?

Is there a way to import a .pdf into a pages document and have it wrap to a 2nd page?

Are we talking about a spread? ie the pdf spans 2 pages side by side? Like in a magazine centrefold.
That requires you to insert the pdf on both pages, one hanging half over to the right and the other half over to the left.

  • How to import DVD-R movie into Keynote?

I just transferred a video (with audio) from a VHS tape to a DVD-R, using a stand-alone DVD Recorder. Now I need to import this into Keynote. I've tried opening/playing the DVD with iMovie iDVD, and Quicktime but they will not recognize it as a readable file. The only application that I have that even will play the disc is DVD Player.
Any suggestions how I can get this movie into my Keynote presentation will be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks.

as log as there aren't copyright issues aren't a problem, something like Handbrake should work to convert the file to something keynote can read.
