Import of QuickTime HD 1080i -- sound is missing

Where has it gone today? In Mediaplayer it sounds nice.
Audioformat of source is 44 100 Hz --16 bit --stereo,
audioformat of project is 44 100 Hz -- 32 bit floating point -- stereo.
What now?

Since WMP (and also the Source Monitor in PrE), directly access the media file on the HDD, where PrE's Timeline and Program Monitor access the CFA (Conformed Audio) and PEK (Waveform Display) files for editing, there is a problem with the Conforming process, or linking to the CFA and PEK files.
If you cannot hear the Audio from the Timeline, the link to the CFA file is bad, and if there is no Waveform Display, then the PEK file cannot be accessed.
I would Delete the files from the Timeline and the Project, then go to the Media Cache, and Delete the matching CFA and PEK files, then Import the media again, allowing just a bit of time for the Conforming process to complete.
The Media Cache folder will be where you directed it in Edit>Preferences, and the default is Same as Project, but can be changed by the user.

QuickTime has no sound

After updating to 10.5.1, Quicktime has no sound. At first I thought it was my PBG4. I was able to hear the system sounds as well as iTunes. I recently upgraded Flip4Mac as well. Could this be the cause of my problems. I miss listening to streams via the internet.

Open the Audio MIDI Setup app (Utilities folder) and set the output format to 44100Hz and 16 bit sample size.
Quit and relaunch QuickTime and try the file again.

I use itunes on a Dell XPS502 with W7/64. In some cases have have problems to import CD's. The sound is very disturbed and the import need a lot more time than in normal cases. Is there a problem between itunes W7/64 or a known hardware issue?

Example-CD : "Tracy Chapman , Telling stories" is not able to import . I have more such negative cases. But in other cases it works fine and the sound is great.
The firmware at the inbuild CD/DVD DS-6E2SH is the latest version.

I don't no about virtuel drives like you mententioned. In the mean time I have rebooted the XPS and run again the iTunes diagnostics. I think the back - chance in the registry was not ready to use. Now there are another results. They are the same in case of a running CD or a not running CD. The difference in total is like before. It takes more time that iTunes reads the (bad) CD and at the there is no good sound. In both cases ( running or not running CD) iTunes diagnostics gives as a result :
(the copie from ITunes shows the result of the not running CD from Tracy Chapman)

ITunes drivers for importing and burning CDs and DVDs are missing

Hi,
I recently switched from a relatively small drive to a much larger one and had the larger drive taking image of the older drive. All of my older programs are now back up to working but I can still can't burn a CD.
I get the following error message "the registry settings used by the iTunes drivers for importing and burning CDs and DVDs are missing. This can happen as a result of installing other CD burning software. Please reinstall iTunes."
I have reinstalled iTunes a few times and have done soft and hard reboots but still no luck. Any ideas on the simplest way to resolve this matter?

I can get down as far as step 11 but it shows nothing about upper filters and when I type on "If the Upper Filters entry is missing follow these instructions" nothing happens
Do you mean you can't see the instructions on what to do if there is no UpperFilters entry?
If so, here's the relevant instructions for that step:
On the right side of the Registry Editor window, right-click the UpperFilters entry and choose Modify from the shortcut menu.
Right-click the empty white space within the right-hand portion of the Registry Editor window. From the shortcut menu, choose New > Multi-String Value.
Name this new value "UpperFilters" (without the quotes). Then, right-click the newly created UpperFilters entry and choose Modify from the shortcut menu.

IMovie HD6 Importing 1080p video as 1080i

I have a Canon Powershot S100 that shoots Full Hd at 1080p with 24 frames as .mov. The only import option in iMovie HD 6 for 1080 is 1080i. So I imported the 1080p as 1080i and exported the finished project as a "Full Quality" .mov file. The exported .mov file shows the frame rate has been changed to 30. The video seems to look fine, but is there something I'm not seeing in the conversion from 24 to 30 frames.

I think this is a super simple question, How do I import a

insert>media>? not to sure what comes next though? Is it

There's not a default insert behavior for this built into
Dreamweaver, but a
quick search on the Exchange show that there is an extension
for this,
although I've not used it. Do a search for "quicktime" here:

Make sure you set the program dropdown to Dreamweaver to
minimize the number
of hits. Should be the second one on the list: "Insert a
QuickTime Movie,
V1.0.1".

iMovie 08 will only import files that contain codecs that it can edit. It will generally import audio and video codecs that iPhoto generates. However, if your iPhoto slideshow contains a manual advance track, iMovie cannot edit this and therefore will not import. In iPhoto, check to see if you can do a timed advance rather than a manual advance. Then it should import.

Export to Quicktime HD 1080i fails from timeline in Premiere Pro CC

I have AVCHD files in my timeline and need to export Quicktime HD 1080i for a client. From the export settings, I choose Quicktime with the preset for HD 1080i and click on OK. The dialog box export with the progression bar just hangs there. Eventually, I force close Premiere Pro and Premiere Pro will not start again until I restart the computer. What gives?

Here is more information: I use Premiere PRo CC 7 and the taped based media in the bins are from a Canon HV30 taped based catured to PP directly in a MPEG format. I have already used some edits from this media as well as my captures from digital, which isnt causing any problems. When I mark the taped based media in the source window and attempt to drag it into the timeline the hand gets a circle and slash line on it and will not let me place it into the timeline. Yet I can still load my digital stuff into the timeline and edit normally. I need some footaghe from the tapes but cannot get it into the timeline from the source monitor even after updating, shutting down and reopening. No avail still when trying to drag the hand with the circle slash still exist not allowing it into the timeline. Previous footage on the timeline works no problem. This started yesterday.
