Import of rss feed no longer possible?

How do I import a picasa webalbum content into iPhoto/aperture? The latest version of iPhoto no longer has the option to import an rss feed??? Or where is it gone? Any other option to import a set of pictures from picasa webalbum?

Thanks, but then how to download a COMPLETE picasa webalbum to the mac. Not picture for picture manually? Any tools, ... for that available?

  • Old podcast rss feed no longer exists, do I need to creat a new podcast show for new rss feed?

    Hi,
    I have an established podcast (Tommy Unit Live) but the RSS feed is no longer valid. Do I need to request a new show (set up a new show) to update with the currect RSS feed?
    Thanks for any help anyone can provide.
    Tom Meehan

    Do you mean that the old feed no longer exists and you don't have access to the server to replace it? In that case your best hope is to email Support at podcasts 'at' apple.com and ask them to transfer the iTunes Store's attention to the new feed: give them the ID number or the URL of the Store page, and the URL of the new feed - check this beforehand by subscribing manually in iTunes (from the 'Advanced' menu) so that you are sure you are dealing with a working feed.
    They've just done this for someone else so hopefully they will do it for you: the alternative is to start again from scratch and submit the new feed as a completely new podcast (you would need to change the title slightly or you will be told it has already been submitted).

  • IWeb Blog RSS feed no longer updates

    When I originally published my iWeb blog to .Mac, the RSS feed contained all 3 posts. Since then the RSS feed hasn't updated, although I've added several new entries to the blog. I've checked the source code of the RSS feed and it only contains the original 3 posts.
    Any suggestions for getting the RSS feed to update?

    Follow-up post. Strangely, when checking ths RSS feed from IE at work, I see the new posts in the source data of the feed. So this is not an iWeb problem, but probably related to the more general RSS update issues within Safari.

  • Horizontal RSS feed- is it possible to create an RSS feed (showing both pictures and text), that scrolls from left to right rather than top to bottom?

    I am trying to create an RSS feed that will scroll from left to right rather than top to bottom as is standard in iWeb.  Ideally, I would like to show both images and text. I am actually using iWeb '09.  I am not opposed to writing html code if necessary.
    Thank you for your help!

    Probleme solved without having to change anything in the flash.
    The solution was to add a small part in the CSS in HTML
    html {
    overflow-x: hidden;
    overflow-y: auto;
    Solve probleme. All browser. VERY usefull to know !

  • Import RSS Feed

    Can anybody please let me know if it is possible to import an RSS Feed into my iWeb site? I would like the news feed to appear on my site [as opposed to wanting to establish a feed of my info to others].
    Hope someone can help.
    Regards....Scotty

    Scotty ~ Try this:

    ...and here's some info on how to integrate the HTML into your web site:
    http://alyeska.altervista.org/en/iWebAlternativeHTML.html
    It would be easier if you upgrade to iWeb 2 (in iLife '08) ~ then you could probably use iWeb 2's +HTML Snippet+ feature. Here's a video tutorial:

  • Import RSS feeds to Mail

    Anyone know of a way to import OMPL rss feeds into Mail?
    --Andrew

    I have a manual way that will work. It will take a few steps but you can import in whole or in batches. If you have many feeds you may want to do in batches so as not to mix them up.
    This will work with Vienna. It may just work with other readers too.
    1) open Safari, and get to the bookmark manager (menu bar/bookmarks/show all bookmarks)
    2) create a temp folder we can use to import the feeds. (*1)
    3) open vienna & select a single feed or a range of feeds. (*2)
    4) drag & drop the feeds in to the temp folder in safari you created in step 2.
    5) open mail, got to (menu bar/file/add rss feed). Select the temp folder (*3)
    6) click the all the check boxes and click add and your feeds have been imported. (*4)
    If you had to do it manually this worked for me. Beats cut/paste links or manually typing. There is probably other ways to do it. Hope Apple patches this RSS feature soon. I dont want to wait for OSX 10.6 to see an improvement.
    Notes:
    *1 - Create a temp folder for each sub folder in your news reader. This will speed things up.
    *2 - Unfortunately it does not drag and drop the folders you physically have to select the range of feeds. If your selection does include the folder (eg. your selection strattled 2 folders it will still process your selection. In other words it ignores the folder and drags your selection.
    *3 - If you did create a temp folder for each folder group you had in your RSS feeder this is a step you would repeat at selecting the various temp folders. But read not 4 before you do.
    *4 - Yes you have to individually click each box. Another grip is that even though you highlighted a folder in Mail it will import the feeds to the RSS main folder. This means you have to select & drag/drop into the sub-folder.

  • How to import RSS feeds?

    Hello everyone.  I have OS 10.6.8 and Mail program v.4.5
    I had to create a new mail account.  How can I import the RSS feeds from my old account?  I have a time machine backup.  I've tried replacing the plist but it doesn't work.  Thank you.

    1) My RSS feed reappeared like before but some do not work and none of them show more than 25 of the previous feeds.
    I believe some don't work because either they "expired", the URL changed, or the article was removed. I'm sure the number appearing is due to the time you have the preferences set to remove feeds.
    How can I get the old entries back in Mail?
    I would think you have to go to the RSS section of Mail's preferences and set the time for it to remove feeds.
    2)  You said there was an esier way to fix the email in limbo problem.  How?
    If an email is "stuck" in the Outbox, you should be able to remedy that problem like this:
    1. Quit Mail if it's running.
    2. Go to Home/Library/Mail/Mailboxes/Outbox.mbox
    3. Delete the message inside Outbox.mbox
    4. Go back to mail and restart it.

  • RSS Feeds in Show and Share

    Hi all,
    We have deployed Show and Share in our enterprise, and Cisco DMM with DMP licenses.
    We would like to integrate the Show and Share updates using the RSS feeds, is it possible to disable the authentication requirement for the RSS feed?
    Thanks in advance.

    Mail in Mountain Lion no longer supports RSS feeds. You have to install an RSS feed reader, as the message suggested.

  • RSS Feeds that worked prior to SP2, now do not work

    I am working with SharePoint 2010 Enterprise edition.  We have several wiki pages with RSS feeds that have been working well for a while.  Once we added the SP2 patch, the RSS feeds no longer work unless the page is checked out.
    Once checked out, you can set them up, see the feed and all is good, until the page is checked in again.
    I tried removing the RSS feed and recreating it and have the same issue, works fine until the page is checked in.
    Could someone help direct me to a solution?  I looked through many forums on RSS feed errors and haven't seen anything helpful.  Thanks!
    staci

    Hi staci,
    It was a known issue from 2013 February CU and it had been fixed in 2013 June CU, however you can also install 2013 August CU for your SharePoint 2010 per the following article, this issue disappers without any side affects, you
    can take a look.

  • My RSS Feeds in Outlook link to articles online and today for no reason I keep getting url fail messages in outlook. Somehow the two aren't communicating correctly anymore. Any thoughts?

    Today or over the weekend, for no reason that I can tell, all of the links in my email (just checked that too) and my RSS feeds no longer link to FireFox. The following error appeared in Outlook "General Failure. URL:... An error occured in sending the command to the application." I'm not sure if it's Outlook or Firefox but this just happened for no reason that I could tell and I'm not computer savvy enough to go in to Outlook and figure all this out. It's worked with no issue for well over a year. The only recent change to Firefox I've made is to add an Amazon wish list toolbar...which I'm not even sure how to delete if that's the issue...but I'm not sure that it didn't work after installing that add-on. I've made no recent changes to Outlook (2007).

    Just to recap, this is a collection of ports I have collected over time for people who needed this information when setting up the HP ePrint app so that they could view their email from within the app.  I am certain other applications also need this information.  Although lengthy, I could not find a more comprehensive place to retrieve this information.  Feel free to post additional information, faulty information, or other related topics below as this is simply a collection of data and it would be practically impossible to test all of them. Thank you!
    Don't forgot to say thanks by giving "Kudos" if I helped solve your problem.

  • RSS feed generation with CRM data

    Hi folks,
    I got a question from my customer if RSS feed generation is possible with CRM data.
    He thinks about a scenario where for example an Intranet user can subscribe a RSS feed that provides information if certain CRM data changed, eg. a new BusinessPartner was created or a certain relationship to a BusiessPartner changed.
    Do you know if SAP (CRM) provides such RSS functionality (out-of-the-box)?
    Thanks a lot in advance.
    Regards,
    Bjoern

    In CRM 7, every user can customize his own RSS feed.
    You can find the settings in the WEBUI under personalize -> Feed
    You can also find some additional customizing in the SPRO under
    ->Customer Relationship Management
    ->UI Framework
    ->UI Framework Definition
    ->Feeds
    kind regards,

    Has any one had problems finding RSS feeds after upgrading to 10.8?

    RSS feeds no longer appear in Mail in Mountain Lion (nor in Safari). You'll need a separate RSS application.
    BTW, this forum is for Mac OS X 10.7 Lion. The forum for OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion is this one:

  • RSS Feeds in mail not updating

    There is another thread [http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1322871] about RSS not updating in Mail.app. It is closed so I can't post a response to it. Whilst the solution offered might work it isn't really very elegant.
    If RSS feeds no longer seem to be updating then it could be that the SQLite3 database that manages it has some corruption or space issues. The best solution is to fix this database (rather than to replace it as proffered in the other thread). To do so, first quit Mail, then open Terminal and enter:
       /usr/bin/sqlite3 ~/Library/PubSub/Database/Database.sqlite3 vacuum.
    When you next open Mail, RSS should be returned to normal

    I wonder what the problem is and how to resolve it. Anybody out there have an idea?

  • I'd like a search keyword-based RSS Feed for iOS apps. Possible?

    It's great that Apple offers a variety of RSS feeds for the iTunes store. I'd like to be able to further hone the feed to particular search-based keywords. For example, limit the top paid apps to just those about dogs or some other long-tail (I did NOT mean that as a pun :-) ) keyword term. Is this possible?
    Alternatively, if one could convert Apple JSON-based searches into an RSS feed, that would do the trick, too. An example JSON feed:
    http://itunes.apple.com/search?term=dog&entity=iPadSoftware&limit=200

  • How can I import my bookmarks and RSS feeds from Flock?

    I just switched over from Flock because it's too sluggish to use anymore. How do I import all my bookmarks, passwords, and RSS feeds? If I have to do it all by hand, I'm going to cry.
    Also do I need a separate RSS reader to get my feeds in a nice list like Flock does it? I don't really get how Live Bookmarks are supposed to work.
    Thanks. I used Firefox before moving to Flock, so hopefully switching back won't be too painful.

    Hm. This was somewhat helpful. I got my bookmarks moved (although now that I see how many of them I had backed up, I'm not sure that was a good idea).
    Still trying to figure out the passwords... I have my Flock profile folder and my Firefox profile folders open... it looks like I need to copy the key3.db file and the signons.sqlite file from the Flock folder to the Firefox folder, does that sound correct?
    As for the RSS feeds, it looks like I'll need an external reader to make any use of the .OPML file that Flock exported for me. I'm still not really clear on how Live Bookmarks work, exactly. I see how to create and manage them, I just don't get how they function day to day. I have a ridiculous number of RSS feeds, some of which still have half a hundred posts I'm working my way through.
    Any recommendations for a good Firefox compatible feed reader?
    Thanks!
