Import operation

hi
i had a database with the sid : project and database name: project
then i made a complete export of the entire database
then i deleted the database
I made a new database with the sid : bgr and database name : bgr
i tried to make an import of the export that i made previously but cannot find any changes in the database.
Is it possible to actually make such an import
i have only 1 complete backup.and i used the command
imp file=expproj.dmp log=exp.log full=Y inctype=restore
please help me...
i am also confused about inctype=restore and system. when to use what?
thnx

yeah i have done that.. but i had several users on my last database and i used
select username from dba_users to check up whether the users were imported or not.
i cud not find the old users in the new database after import operation..
the import happened successfully but i cannot find any old database data..
i am using oracle 10g
thnx

Oh, I bet that if you'd done a site search, you'd have got answers to both of those questions...

  • Trying to import RAW files but receiving "some import operation were not performed" error message.

Trying to import RAW files (from Canon 5D Mark III) but I'm receiving the following error message "some import operations were not performed". I am trying to copy to my Seagate backup drive, however the only destination it will let me copy to is my Lexar flash drive (where I don't want to store them!).  I've checked all the file permissions--everything says "read and write". Not sure where to start   I recently switched to an iMac where the problems started (never any issues importing into Lightroom on my PC--just slowness). Please help!

    NIKON D3300
The Nikon D3300 Raw format is not yet supported in Lightroom 5 (currently 5.3).
    http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/camera-raw-plug-supported-cameras.html
Raw file formats are proprietary to each camera manufacturer and specific to each camera model. Adobe's Camera Raw engine (used by both Adobe Camera Raw - as a plugin to Photoshop - and Lightroom) must be constantly updated with every new camera make and model which arrives on the market in order to read and edit Raw files from that camera.
Adobe has added support for the D3300 to Camera Raw 8.4 which is about to be released. It is a Release Candidate (RC status) at the moment. So D3300 Raw support will probably be added to the next soon-to-be-released Lightroom update (5.4).
    http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/cameraraw8-4-cc/?tabID=details#tabTop
In the meantime, you can download the free Adobe DNG Converter 8.4
    http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/cameraraw8-4.html
Using the DNG converter, you can then convert the D3300 Raw files to DNGs then open and edit the DNGs in Lightroom 5.3.
Once Lightroom 5.4 is released (assuming it also has D3300 support) the DNG conversion will no longer be required.

anyone having issues with importing CR2 files into lightroom 5 as error message comes up saying "Some import operations were not performed". please advise what is a solution please

Sounds like the folder Write permissions issue described here with a solution:
"Some import operations were not performed" from camera import

  • LR 5 "Some import operations were not performed." Following files not updated because could not be read

Having difficulty with LR5, can view photos on card while trying to import but receive following message "Some import operations were not performed."  "The following files were not updated because they could not be read."

Check your destination folder in LR at the top right of the Import panel.  LR cannot copy the photos there and so when it tries to import them they aren’t there and cannot be read.
In other words the “cannot be read” message indicates that photos cannot be written to the destination.

  • WSUS importing operation hangs in a disconnected network scenario...

    Hi all;
I have implemented WSUS in a disconnected network more than 50 times so far. But in the recent days I have encounter a problem. I can successfully export the metadata. But when I do the importing operation,
this process takes for several days without ending.
Can anyone help me to solve this issue?
    Thanks

When you say "for several days" are you talking about the wsusutil import operation itself, or the post-import reconciliation on the disconnected server?
The command prompt window in importing operation does not report the completion of the process.
I would suggest running the Server Cleanup Wizard, WSUS DB Maintenance utilties, and a disk volume defrag on your disconnected server to make sure the database is in an optimal health state, and then try rerunning the import.
I discuss in these PatchZone.org articles the proper order of flow for doing these maintenance tasks:
    Removing Unneeded Update Approvals
    Defragment the Filesystem
    WSUS Database Maintenance

Some Import Operations failed to perform. The following files could not be imported because they could not be read....(then all the files that I checked do not get imported

    As a Test:
Hold down the option (or alt) key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Create Library'
Import a few pics into this new, blank library. Is the Problem repeated there?

  • LR Photo Import from Camera suddenly not working (5.7.1) - States "Some import operations were not imported becuase they could not be read."  Works on another computer and 4.3 version of LR on same computer but not newly installed LR 5.7.1 cc 2014.

As above, all of a sudden, on one computer I cannot download from either the Canon 50D or 70D into LR 5.7.1.  It will download on another computer as well as on this computer in an older version of LR (4.3).  When I first turned on the computer this morning, I also got an error message that "The Lightroom catalog named 'Lightroom 5 Catalog" cannot be opened because another application already has it opened."  It was a cold boot, so I am not sure what is happening.

For the second problem being that the catalog is open in another application, go to the folder containing your catalog. You will find a file with the .lock extension. This is a file created by the catalog, and is automatically deleted when the catalog closes normally. Sometimes it can get left behind. You need to delete that file.
When Lightroom says that the file cannot be read, it usually means that it cannot be written to the chosen destination. This tends to be a permissions problem in your operating system. Check to make sure you have write permission for the folder you are trying to import your images to.

  • How can i import Opera 25.0 bookmarks into firefox?

I am switching from Opera 25.0 to firefox, but cant seem to move my bookmarks.
    - There is no option in Opera to export bookmarks as html.
    - In my Appdata folder the bokmarks are stored as Bookmarks.bak, and i dont know how to convert this file into html, so i can import it in firefox.
    - If i choose "import bookmarks from other browsers" in firefoxes bookmark manager, i can choose between chrome and IE, but no opera.

    1. Bookmarks Manager extension: this extension does not work with opera 25 anymore. It cant initially import bookmarks, hence export as html not possible
    2. SQLite Browser: does not seem to work with opera25 db, SQL query only returned 1 bookmark. the db is 700kb large, but there is only one entry in stash_fts_content

  • Importing Opera Contacts.adr file intoYosemite Contacts

I have an Opera Contacts.adr file from an older (Snow Leopard) iMac version and am trying to import it to a new 21" iMac.  It appears that the only thing that will open it in Yosemite OS is Opera, and it appears that the file is not compatible to be imported into Contacts.
Does anyone know if there's a solution other than manually typing each contact  (360 ea) into Yosemite Contacts.
    Lonesome George

Apparently it does.  I thought I read somewhere that the address book would allow .cvm format.  Well, I converted it to cvm, but no cigar.  So, my wife will have to copy and paste from the .cvm file until maybe there is a better solution.
I want to thank you for your help.

  • BUG: 'Remove unused import' operation modifies access modifiers

    Bug in 10.1.3 Production:
    In the code below
    import java.util.*;
    <u>abstract public</u> class Class1 {
}after an 'Remove Unused Import java.util.*' operation (or 'Organize Imports', there’s no difference) applying (at a line gutter) code becomes as below:
    <u>public public</u> class Class1 {
    }Public twice.
If the class is declared as 'public abstract' then all goes right.

    Well, here it goes,

Javasocs' to blame. If you put Javadocs before the package, or between package and import declarations, this what's going to happen to you!
Otherwise (Javadoc on top of the class declaration), no problem.

  • Doubt: Java Task B2BCommandLineUtility-import operation "outputproperty"

In the above mentioned ant target the java task is giving back the outputproperty as build.log (Outcome of the task). I have a doubt that, If the return of this Java task is writing any build.log file in the system. Or is simply using the memory. Also I am not able to find out the exact location of the file if its getting written, although I tried searching it every possible place in my system.
    Can anybody plz clarify this!!!!
    Thanks in Advance!!!

    HI Anuj,
Thanks. We can use recorder, I have tried that too. But here in the ant file I have posted also works fine.
    <java classname="oracle.tip.b2b.utility.B2BCommandLineUtility" classpathref="weblogic.classpath" fork="yes" outputproperty="*custom_msg*">
That is just a property we are creating and assigning value to it at run time. It is not writing any file, just trapping the outcome of the Java Task. I tried changing the name and it worked fine for me.
    Thanks,

  • Tone that is played at the completion of an import operation.

Does anyone know how to eliminate the playing of the three note tone that is generated at the completion of importing or ripping a CD into the library?

You are correct that there are no system variables for this.  If you know how long the animation plays, you can place a message caption on the timeline that becomes visible at the point where the animation would cease.
However, I have to also inform you that nesting Captivate SWF animations INSIDE other Captivate SWFs is NOT a good idea.  You may run into lots of issues doing this.  If the animations are the same dimensions as the shell project, you would be far better advised to add the slides from the animation into the main project and include the content that way.  This approach also gives you greater control over the navigation issue you are asking about here since it becomes much easier to detect when that part of the content has finished.  You can pick up on an On Slide Enter or On Slide Exit event.

  • I get on 5.7 the following -- Some import operations were not performed -- then states it connot read the following files (which were all of my pictures) this is happening on a T3 and 6D

    it conn

"cannot be read" usually means that the destination directory (as shown in the Import dialog box, in the Destination Panel) has either
been accidentally changed, so change it back to whatever it used to be; or
does not have WRITE permission, so change your permissions on that directory

  • When I import photos to lightroom CC I get a message Some import operations were not performed. The following files were not imported because they could not be read.

Dsc_5122nef  dsc_5123JPG     Everything worked fine for the last week. The only thing changed is I removed lightroom 5. How can I reinstall Lightroom 5

Its a 100% failure. I was trying to import 37 photos all failed. I can still import into Lightroom 5. I also can import into Lightroom CC on my other Mac.  I tried importing from different cards, my other 7100 and my 5300 same problem. I have tried every combination of card reader, camera and computer I have.  The only only time the message shows up is when I try to import into Lightroom CC on my 27 in Mac. Thanks Art
