How do i import outlook email addresses to iphone and send as a SMS text messages?

You can send a message through an email gateway so that it appears as a text on someone's phone. However, it's not their regular address. For example, for a Verizon customer, it would be [email protected] Perhaps that's what you're thinking of?

  • How can I get imported Outlook email into folders in mail?

I am a longtime PC user with email and calendar in MS Outlook (finally) converting to an iMac.  I used the Migration Assistant to transfer my old PC email to new iMAC running OSX Lion via ethernet.  On the old PC, I have ~15 years of stored emails in a *.pst file, organized by folders.  I want to retain that file structure to organize older email (but retain it on hard drive for later access) in mail on the iMac.  For example, I get an email confirmation of an online order, I move it to a folder called "Money" in case I have any problems with the item or need ot figure out how long since I purchased something for warranty.  After the migration I have 1,984 messages in my inbox on the iMac.
    Two apparent problems:
    1) Everything is in one folder.  I don't want to have to refile all this stuff again.  How do I get an intact folder structure imported to iMac email from Outlook 2000 *.pst file?
    2)  I don't think the migration moved everything form the old pst.  It took more than inbox, but not enough to be all the emails.  To avoid duplications, should I scrub the iMAC mail clean before any steps to achieve 1 above?  If so how do I remove the emil imported the first try to iMac?
Be gently, true newbie status here.  Learning the iMac slowly - but can't go for long without email.....

Hi. I have a similar issue. Migration assistant seems to have pulled in all my email accounts (6) correctly and also the mails that were sat in those inboxes. However, the entire folder structure (where I would drag and drop) has not migrated and nor (it seems) the email contained within. I also have a .pst (which is not corrupted on the PC) and is not huge. So I would like to move all my history across. I don't particularly care about the folder structure but I do, of course, want all of my history transferred.
Is there any easy way to do this? Otherwise all I can think of is moving all emails on my PC from the folders to an inbox in Outlook, unarchiving the .pst emails and then doing the email migration all over again.
    Thanks for any help.

  • HOW TO IMPORT MY EMAILS (MESSAGES) FROM OUTLOOK 2007?

HOW TO IMPORT MY EMAILS (MESSAGES) FROM OUTLOOK 2007?

Into what email program on the Mac?
    Mail
    Outlook for Mac '11
    Entourage '04/'08
    Thunderbird
    Eudora
    ... etc
If it's going into Mail you'll need to do a work around, it's not a "straight" transfer unless you buy a 3rd party application called Outlook2Mac.

  • Set up Outlook Email to phone but it didn't import the calendar or tasks

I set up my Outlook email with thePalm Pre but it never imported my calendar and the calendar does not show up in the Accounts section in Calendar. I tried to manually add the Outlook account to Calendar accounts, but the phone gave me an email address saying that an account was already using that email address. Any ideas on what I can do now?

    Hello and welcome to the forums;
Is this an Exchange account? If so, when you look under Email, does it show as a POP, IMAP, or EAS account? If it is Exchange and it does not show as EAS, you will need to delete the account and re-add it as an EAS account. This will let your calendar sync with your device.
If it is not an Exchange account and is just a stand-alone Outlook, you would need to use our data transfer assistant to transfer your calendar to your device. This is a one-time process, after which you would update your calendar on your device only, unless you choose to sync your calendar with Google. This website has all the information you need about our data transfer assistant including the file download:

  • Importing Outlook 2007 (Windows) emails

Is it possible to import Outlook 2007 emails (plus tree structure) into iPad 3 and if so how is this done?

NOt sure about the structure, but you interface with outlook through iTunes. Connect your device to your computer then open iTunes on the computer. Select your device and navigate to the 'info' tab. Scroll down and you'll see the  option to sync your ipad contacts and mail with outlook.
You may have to play with the settings but that's where you start.

  • I am using the Good for Enterprise app to synch my outlook email and when I try to turn on ICloud to synch my music in ITunes I get a warning that I will not be able to synch my Iphone 4S with my computer.  Does this mean my office PC or home Mac?

I am using Good For Enterprise on my Iphone 4s to connect with my Office PC Outlook email system.  I am having trouble synching my Itunes music from my Mac at home with my IPhone 4s.  I am considering using ICloud to share the music as I also have an IPad2.  When I go to turn on the ICloud application, I get a message that alerts me to the fact I will no longer be able to synch with my computer.  Does that mean with my Office PC and my Outlook email, or my Mac and my home email and other applications?  I want to use the ICloud but don't want to screw up my Good for Enterprise application and connectivity with my Office PC and Outlook email.  What should I do to be able to update all my tunes and photos on my IPhone 4S and IPad2 from my Mac?

I seem to never tire of saying this. It was for Apple when they first announced 10.7 to disclose this. Yes, it was widely reported -- or rather, rumored -- but not by Apple. And many people who have gotten caught by this assumed that Apple itself would have told them beforehand about the loss of this very important feature which they had come to rely on. As far as I know, not even in fine print, does this appear anywhere on the Lion announcement or any of its links.
I am not saying Apple had to continue Rosetta in Lion, or forever, just that if it was going to be dropped, it should have been made known.
As relative "insiders" we should not forget that many people don't have the time, habit or interest to do this kind of research. I think it is a breach of trust that Apple has never directly made this announcement or given people the opportunity to decide beforehand if giving up their PPC apps for a new OS is a worthwhile tradeoff.

  • How do i migrate outlook email .pst files

Just switched from pc to mac. I need to migrate my .pst outlook email files to mail in mac.
    how do I do that?

The simplest way is to open a MobileMe or Google Apps account and sync the info across the divide.
Almost as simple is LittleMachines O2M which will convert the pst into files that iCal/Address Book and Mail can read.
If you are looking for a free solution, have plenty of time and a tolerance for frustration you can try exporting Outlooks contacts to a txt file, then use one of the free converters to get it into Mbox format and import that into mail, for calendars there are some utilities that claim to be able to do the same for iCal but I have never seen one of them actually work without creating more work tidying up. Emailchemy will move the mail to MacMail very well (but it's not free, cheap)
Unless you know what you are doing and have time and patience to spare choose option 1 (sync) or 2 (O2M), I have tried the free way and am glad that I do not own a firearm.
PS: if your email is Imap or Exchange but not POP it will not need to be exported/imported, connecting to the account will bring it back 'as-was'

  • How to import outlook adresses

How can I import Outlook 2010 (.pst) adresses and calender to my phone.

So far only O2M can help solve the problem. I have purchased it and converted all my Outlook PST archive to Mac Mail mailbox. It is pretty nice, except it cannot preserve the flag I marked in the archived email. It is still worth to buy and use this tool because Mail with Spotlight searching is facilitate my daily office work very much. Now Spotlight can also search my archived mailbox with superior speed and stable performance. That is something I have never experienced with Outlook plus whatever searching tool, such as Google, Yahoo, Copernic, etc.

  • Import/Export Email

Is there any way to import/export email from a user's account?

What do you want to import/export from?
I think you can do a dump of someone's mailbox using the imsbackup utility, but am not sure what format this gives you. Probably you can only import this into another iMS server.
Apart from that, you could look at what tools your mail clients have for saving and importing messages. I think Outlook express has an archive utility that you could use. To import from Outlook to the server, you could use the iPlanet sync tool. This will synchronise in both directions between the iMS mail server and various clients. These include Outlook, Windows CE handhelds, palms, etc. Basically, if you set this up to synchronise with Outlook, then you can import/export using anything that will interface with Outlook.
Of course you don't have to use Microshaft products. You could use any mail client to do this. Not sure about synching with other clients cos we've not done it.
I'm not sure how you can get hold of this synching tool. There were various beta versions floating around about a year or so ago and I would have expected that they would have released a supported version by now. Then again.....

My Iphone 4, to which all my outlook email is forwarded to. is only receivng some of the emails but not all. It has worked beautifully in the past but no longer. What can I do to get all emails?

I would just explain that this just started happening, that nothing has changed on the phone, that it is an original iPhone and I wondered if they are implementing a change in coverage with their Edge network in my area.
If you restore your phone, you will be given an option to back up your phone at the beginning of the process (see step 6 here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1414).  You will be given the option to restore to that backup at the end of the restore process.  Your messages are stored in the backup so restoring to the backup will return the messages to your phone.  Be sure to import your photos and videos to your computer (see http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083) and back up your contacts somewhere before restoring your phone as these sometimesget lost in the restore process.

  • Outlook emails onto Time Capsule

I need to be able to access easily old Outlook emails as if they were on my Macs Hard Drive. I would like to use my Time Capsules HD to do this as well as storing other files/folders from my old PC, I guess I'm trying to set it up as a wireless cloud type arrangment except without clogging up my internet connection. Another way to easily explain it.......I'm running my new Mac as well as my old PC side by side as I need info of it...

Why not just copy the PST outlook files to the Mac? And use outlook in Mac version.. MS office. It can surely import or directly open the PST file.
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2413370
You can just open the PST file if you need an email..
Otherwise keep the PC running until you have finished all you need to refer to. It is rather short sighted to simply dispose of a computer if you actually need access to it. And it is always easier to access from the native software and application that was used than any imported version.
