Import Package: The UNC path should be of the form \\server\share
Just upgraded to 7.0 MS SP4. Imports that worked last week are failing and throwing this error:
The UNC path should be of the form
server\share
Tried modifying the apps, full process, etc. This is just a standard Data Manager Import.
Any suggestions????
Hi,
What is the SQL server used? Have you upgraded your SQL server also?

FRM-92101- There is a failure in the form server during startup.
Hi,
I'm deploying a forms 10g application . I'm using Oracle Application Server Forms and Reports Services 10.1.2.0.2 under Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5, along with an Oracle 10g Database on another server. Every time I try testing the form services using http://10.0.4.114:7778/forms/frmservlet it brings out the errorFRM-92101- There is a failure in the form server during startup. This could happen due to invalid configuration. Please look into the web server log file for detail
Right now, I'm a bit lost. Can anyone please tell me if there is some parameter I have to set, or something I should do to make it work?
Thanks a lotFabian,
I did not make changes to those files. The forms services are working on another server with Red hat Rel 4 and 3 . What I did is to configure a new server with Red Hat Rel 5 , took the backup of all the forms binaries and the HOME and restore on the new server. I did the same thing for a server running rel 4 and it has no issue:
The content of the files are as below:
DEFAULT.ENV*
# $Id: default.env 26-apr-2005.16:59:08 sujain Exp $
# default.env - default Forms environment file, Solaris version
# This file is used to set the Forms runtime environment parameters.
# If a parameter is not defined here, the value used will be that defined
# in the environment in which the servlet engine (OC4J or JServ) was started.
# NOTES
# 1/ The Forms installation process should replace all occurrences of
# <percent>FORMS_ORACLE_HOME<percent> with the correct ORACLE_HOME
# setting, and all occurrences of <percent>O_JDK_HOME<percent> with
# the location of the JDK (usually $ORACLE_HOME/jdk).
# Please make these changes manually if not.
# 2/ Some of the variables below may need to be changed to suite your needs.
# Please refer to the Forms documentation for details.

# Explanations:
# - Reports needs the path for libjava.so

# - Forms needs two paths to the jre, for libjvm.so and libhpi.so
# - In JDK 1.4.1 the location of libjvm.so is lib/sparc (there is no
# classic directory) so we do not include the .../classic directory
# below. There are other versions of libjvm.so (in directories server,

Hi
I am calling a Oracle report from a Oracle forms application. When I enter the parameters on the Parameter Form (Oracle Forms Application created for
entering the User Parameters) and click 'Run Report' button, I am getting the following error:
Kindly help me on this. Thanks in advance.
The complete error discription is given here...

JServer Release 9.2.0.1.0 - Production

Please find the steps I followed before I run this application:
1. I started the OC4J Forms Server on my machine
2. I started the OracleAS Reports Services (Reports Server) on my machine.
3. Connected to the database and run the Forms Application.
I have tried the following options to solve this error:
- I have re-installed Oracle Enterprise Edition Release 9.2.0.1.0 again and retry calling my Reports application from Oracle Forms. Still the same error
persists.
I have written the following code inside 'WHEN-BUTTON-PRESSED' Trigger to call my Oracle Report:
I found that the above error is coming at the following highlighted line below:
declare
BEGIN
--prepare the list of parameters to be sent to the report
--Add parameter(s) to list just created
--START THE REPORT
v_repid := FIND_REPORT_OBJECT('REPORT197');

-- Wait until report finishes or produces an error
-- Display the report if it is finished
END;Hi ,
I think that this kind of problem persists because of the variety of Forms , Database and maybe OS number-bit versions(32-bit and 64 respectively).
In the past , due to the inequality of number-bit of OS and the Oracle Products , I had many problems.... the import was finished abnormally as the connection to the database was stopped ...

Frm-92101 there was a failure in the forms server during startup after R12.2
Hi All,
I have install the multinode(2 Node) R12.2 on CentOS 6 with no issues, while launching java forms it is showing "frm-92101 there was a failure in the forms server during startup"
I had this same issue before when I install R12.1.1 so I check log file at $LOG_HOME/ora/10.1.3/opmn/forms_default_group_1/formsstd.out.
I resolved the issue by installing openmotif package,However in 12.2 the file directory changes can you please help to resolve this issue.
Please help me to resolve this issue in 12.2?
Thanks & Regards,
Rahul.kI have install the multinode(2 Node) R12.2 on CentOS 6 with no issues
This is not a supported OS. The list of supported Linux OS is in (Oracle E-Business Suite Installation and Upgrade Notes Release 12 (12.2) for Linux x86-64 (Doc ID 1330701.1)).
while launching java forms it is showing "frm-92101 there was a failure in the forms server during startup"
Is it from the same Linux server? If yes, Linux is not supported as a client tier node -- Recommended Browsers for Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 (Doc ID 389422.1)

Web services for foms 10g on the forms server.
Hi,
I have created the sample form in 10g (windows based) where it calls the web service to get the currency exchange rate (http://www.oracle.com/technology/obe/obe_as_10g/deploy/callws_fromforms/forms_webservice.htm).
I have now ftp'd the form into my forms server in unix and compiled it using compile.sh. Now my question is, where to add the jar files in the unix forms server. Since my archive.jar and other jar files are in my windows explorer directory, do I need to ftp all that into the forms server? If yes, what exactly do I need to put in the server.
Once I put all the files in the forms server, where do I need to set the paths.
Please advise. Urgent.
Thanks.I don't know why you need to place them into the CLASSPATH of the target machine? For deployment of my forms from a linux iAS EE installation, all I do is to place the related (and custom) jar files to the iAS BI (business intelligence components)/forms/java directory and then list the jar files properly in the iAS BI/forms/server/formsweb.cfg file's application related section. The jar files then downloaded to the client when they access to the form (via Sun JRE plugin on linux clients or Jinitiator on windows clients). I know I had to place those jar files in CLASSPATH for iDS (forms development) but not for the deployment.
I hope this proves useful -
Hi,
We are having issues with Server 2012 R2 SMB shares.
We try to write some changes to a file, but we first create a temporary backup in case the write fails. After the backup is created we write the changes to the file and then we get an error:
The process cannot access the file '\\server\share\test.txt' because it is being used by another process.
It looks like the backup process keeps the original file in use.
The problem doesn't always occur the first time, but almost everytime after 2 or 3 changes. I have provided some code below to reproduce the problem, you can run this in a loop to reproduce.
The problem is that once the error arises, the file remains 'in use' for a while, so you cannot retry but have to wait at least several minutes.
I've already used Process Explorer to analyze, but there are no open file handles.
To reproduce the problem: create two Server 2012 R2 machines and run the below code from one server accessing an SMB share on the other server.
Below is the code I use for testing, if you reproduce the scenario, I'm sure you get the same error.
We are not looking for an alternative way to solve this, but wonder if this is a bug that needs to be reported?
Anybody seen this behavior before or know what's causing it?
The code:
string file =
@"\\server\share\test.txt";
if (File.Exists(file))
File.Copy(file, file +
".bak", true);
File.WriteAllText(file,
"Testje",
Encoding.UTF8);
The error:
System.IO.IOException: The process cannot access the file '\\server\share\test.txt' because it is being used by another process.Hi,
There is someone else having the same issue with yours. You could try code in the article below:
“The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process”
http://blogs.msdn.com/b/shawncao/archive/2010/06/04/the-process-cannot-access-the-file-because-it-is-being-used-by-another-process.aspx
If you wonder the root cause of the issue, the .NET Framework Class Libraries forum can help.

Mandy

TREX is a standalone server which indexes the documents in the repositories.TREX is based on a client/server architecture. The client software is integrated into the
application that uses the TREX functions, and allows communication with the TREX servers.
The TREX servers execute the requests of the clients: They index and classify documents
and respond to search queries.
Look at
service.sap.com/instguidesNW04 -> Installation ->Installation Guide Search and Classification TREX 6.1 .

Learn't that the problem relate to a microsoft bug in respect of java pool. this is resolved by going to system registry via regedit

Any insight as to what else shall I try?How do you get this error?
Was this working before? If yes, any changes been done recently?
Have you tried to run AutoConfig and see if it completes successfully?

Frm-92101: There was a failure in the Forms Server during startup. (OC4J)
Hi,
Things were working fine before the weekend but on my return I keep getting an error every time I open a form. I am running OC4J.
The funny thing is I have 2 PC's with the same forms versions installed at the same time and they are both saying the same error. I am running forms version 10.1.2.0.2.
Error:-
frm-92101: There was a failure in the Forms Server during startup. This could happen due to invalid configuration. Please look into the web-server log files for details.
Any ideas?I did make changes to my formsweb.cfg but all worked initially.
I have not loaded any other web based apps on my PC.
Could this be an OC4J problem?
