Import PC Outlook calander to IMAC icalander

I exported my Outlook calander from my PC to a delimited file. When I try to import the file, my IMAC doesn't recognize the format. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Hello,
You need a program that will convert the data for you into the proper formats for the Apple programs.
Check out this one:
http://www.littlemachines.com/
It will export your PC's Microsoft Outlook Email, Email Attachments, Contacts, and Calendar Appointments to Macintosh-Compatible Files that you can import into Apple Mail, Address Book, iCal, Microsoft Entourage, and Other Third-Party Programs
I hope this helps.

  • Sync Outlook Calander

I was able to download my outlook calander and contacts from my exchange server.. no problem.... via the Sync process...
For some reason I cannot make a change to my outlook calander and get it over to my IPhone with the Sync process... Iphone does not receive my calander update if you will...
Apple support page told me to go to advanced options and make sure I had an "add-ins" checked... I can find that but their are TWO ad-ins.. one is checked.. the other is not.. and the 2nd one will not "stick" if you will when I check it... just goes unchecked when a click out.....
There must be a reason why I cannot make a change to my outlook calander and then have it updated on my IPhone???? I just cannot figure it out....
Sincerely appreciate any help you may be able to offer me..

Your information regarding enabling I-tunes helped a little but I'm still can't get the action to stick once selected.
I've had a couple of things happen to me.
1). I receive a message that says "Outlook experienced a serious error the last time the add-in outlook itunes sync addin was opened. Would you like to disable? To reactivate add-in, click about microsoft outllok on help menu and then click disable. I've had to 2 that several times.
2). The only other questions I have, is when I select "outlook itunes syn addin" which I have to do everytime I want to sync my Iphone, I noticed that at the bottom, I receive a message that states "runtime error occured during the loading of the com add-ins" could this be part of the problem?
So, I'm still finally able to get the phone to sync but each time I have to go to outlook, tools, other etc.
    Any suggestions?

  • Syncing outlook over a iMac and Mac Book Pro

I'm having some trouble figuring out how to sync outlook over a iMac and Mac Book Pro without connecting them by a cable each time.
Had the Mac Book first and did a migrate to the iMac. Everything is working fine but when I open an email on one it doesn't show that its already been opened on the other.
Is there a way to get outlook to update itself, or a program out there that will do this for me.

It sounds like you're using a POP mail account. POP accounts do not send any information back to the mail server, so another computer downloading the same mail will have no idea what has been read and what hasn't.
IMAP accounts do have two-way communication with the server, so you will be able to sync read mail, as well as store folders on the server and have them accessible to both computers.
Check with your mail provider whether they have IMAP access. You may have to change the server addresses and ports that Outlook uses, but they will be able to give you that information.
Caution: if you end up removing the POP account and adding it back in as IMAP, make sure you save your inbox and sent mail to a local folder first - otherwise it'll be lost.

  • Entourage 2008 - Importing from Outlook 2007 ???

Hi guys, just got a MacBook Pro this week and I had reserved a copy of Office 2008 which I got today.
It's great because that's what I was waiting for to put my PC on sale
BUT i was astonished to see that there's not the option to import pst files in Entourage ??
I was using Office 2007 for PC therefore Outlook 2007.
The only way we can export stuff is by creating .PST files, so you can backup all your contacts, your messages with attachements and your calendar (which are my 3 priorities).
Using the equivalent application from Microsoft but for the Mac, that is : Entourage 2008, there's not the option to import .pst ?? What the heck ??
So please guys if you know a way to export my stuff (messages, contacts and calendar) from Outlook 2007 PC to Entourage 2008 MAC, please let me know !!!
    THANK YOU !!

    Hey guys,
I don't want to be repeting by here's the way I worked this out :
    EMAILS
First I installed Thunderbird on my Win computer.
Then I imported from outlook. It took a while since my PST was like 3 Gb.
At first I was crashing it but then I let it work for a try and it imported everything perfectly, but not showing any progress bar during the process.
Second, I searched Thunderbird help for the way to export in MBOX, and it pointed out that I sould get a plug-in, which I did.
Third, having installed the plug-in, I had a tool menu for exporting. Only thing I had to do is select each folder one by one and export them using this plug-in, I only had to add .MBOX extention to every file.
Finally, when you get these files in OS X with entourage, you just drag and drop them in entourage and them import perfectly.
That did the job for me anyways.
    CONTACTS
Send yourself emails of contacts !
I sent myself email (with the WORK OFFLINE option so I wouldn't receive them in outlook) in the contacts from outlook.
As you can imagine, I totally got rid of Outlook, and of Windows actually, by now but as I remember it when you right click on a contact you have an item that's called something like "send full information of contact through email".
So to keep my categories I sent one email per categories.
Back in entourage, I had to save attachements, import them, put them in a category.
Then next email, etc. and so on.
    CALENDAR
I haven't found a way to do this but what I did was : In outlook you have a way to display your calendar events by a list, so I just made a couple of print screen of that list and I put the future events that I wanted to keep in Entourage.
    And the conclusion is :
Well I said byebye to Entourage because I don't need MS Exchange support and I hate Microsoft more and more everyday so I'm using Mail, Address Book and iCal now
But I could easily import from entourage into all of these.
The only microsoft apps I still are the must-have : word, excel and powerpoint 2008.

  • Is there a way to sync outlook calendars with Imac, Ipad, Iphone calendars.  I am not running exchange server.

Is there a way to sync outlook calendars with Imac, Ipad, Iphone calendars?  I am not running exchange server.

    hello,
BlackBerry devices do not support ActiveSync.
you have several ways, from best to less good :
    1)
if your company has set up Outlook Web Access, you can use the BIS connection of your device to connect to the Exchange server (email + Address book) through the url of the Outlook Web Access. The OWA needs to be accessible from outside the company.
    2)
if your company has setup an external link to the exchange server (can be accessible from outside the company), you can configure your BIS directly to the Exchange server (email only if I recall correctly)
    3)
if your company allows it, on your PC you can setup your email account to automatically forward all incoming emails to a third party email (like GMail or Hotmail), and then configure BIS to connect to that email provider. You will get push email. You can then setup a reply-to: field.
    4)
use a Windows Mobile phone that has the ActiveSync feature.

  • Exporting all settings for Outlook Desktop so that they can be imported into Outlook

    Hi there,
I was wondering whether all settings for Outlook Desktop can be exported so that they can be imported into Outlook i.e. .psts, .osts, .pabs, .oabs, .dats, .xmls, .nk2s, .rwzs, .rtfs, .txts, .htms, .dics, .ofts, .srss and .msgs. My Managing Director's Wife is
unsubscribing from Office 365 in order to use Office Professional 2013 I presume or 2010 perhaps. Your help would be much appreciated.
    Kind regards,
    RocknRollTim
P.S. I was redirected by a user off the Office 365 Community Forum.

    Hi,
As per the information and details provided by you, in Outlook, there is not any way to backup Outlook account setting because in all Outlook versions the account settings are kept inside the window registry under this key:
    • HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows Messaging Subsystem\Profiles
So if you want to create backup of your Outlook account setting, you should have to export that key from your registry and then import it to your new computer.
To backup Outlook Account setting follow these steps: -
    1. First, go to the Start menu and then at the Run box, type regedit and press Enter.
    2. Under the registry editor right click to Export the Profiles key found inside this location in the registry:
    • HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows Messaging Subsystem\
    • e.g: “HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows Messaging Subsystem\Profiles”
    3. In Outlook 2013 right click to Export the Profile key found under this location in the registry:
    • HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Outlook\
    • e.g: “HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Outlook\Profiles key”
    4. Specify the Destination Location and File Name then press Save.
Correct me if the information that I am having is wrong. I hope this will be helpful for you.
    Thanks and regards

  • Sync two blackberrys to one outlook calander

My wife and I bought our first Blackberry's on Saturday to replace our aging phones and Palm PDAs.  So far we have been very impressed with the new phones.
I have been successful in setting up both blackberrys to sync a single outlook calander.  However, I noticed that in the options for each phone  you can have the appointments colour background tied to a specific e-mail address.  Blue on my phone and red on my wifes.  However when we sync my appointments are shown in red in her blackberry and hers in blue in mine.  Is it possible to get hers to show in red on mine to make it simpler to identify each others appointments without adding a special symbal or initials

mljandjap, my apologies for the delay in replying.  To sink the two blackberry's to one calander, I simply sync'd mine first, then sync'd my wife's and then sync'd mine again.  This is also the process I use each time I sync the two phones.
I don't remember any specific messages appearing when I first sync'd the phones (there were a couple requesting information on what to do on mismatches in contect lists etc) - all seemed to run quite smoothly.  However, I may have been lucky as I originally transferred all my information from sync'd Palm PDAs to the phones using the Blackberry Palm wizard.
    Hope this helps

  • Importing Windows Outlook Express address book

    Hello
I have been trying to import an Outlook Express address book (which is stored on a DVD) to MS Entourage with not much luck
I can't seem to find an 'option' to import an external address book.
The only options available seem to be to import Entourage docs/archives etc.
    Can anyone help?

I've been looking into this myself and there are a number of possibilities. You can't just import an address book but importing all your contacts can be done. Search discussions here for the topic (the Mail and Address Book forum has stuff on getting contacts out of Outlook) and also Google the web, there are several threads elsewhere. There are even shareware utilities to help.
Also look under Mac 101: Shifting From PC in the Support section here. Apple has a little bit to say on it, although not terribly helpful to me.

  • Sync Outlook Calander will not work.

I am having issues with my iphone synching my outlook calander to my iphone. It seems to have started after my most recent iphone software update. It is now current with the most recent updates.
I have some outlook calander events on my iphone but not any of the recently added ones to outlook. I have checked seetings in itunes and even set it to over-ride the phone. no good.
My phone is NOT the 3G model
Any ideas. Is the recent software load bad?
    thanks, Jeff

    Hey Jeff
The tips in this article: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1692 will resolve most Outlook/iTunes syncing issues.
On your iPhone make sure its showing events from all calendars. Goto the Calendar app on the iPhone, tap calendars in the top left corner of the screen, then tap all.

  • HT4489 I can't import an Outlook vcard that is 7.3k in size.  It sends me an error message saying it had a problem reading the card.  Help.

Using the iCloud help screen I tried to import an Outlook contact in vcard format.  iCloud tells me it is having trouble reading the vcard (which is 7.3k in size).  Can someone help overcome this problem?  Thanks.

The message says: "The payment method has been denied, try another method"
I'm living in the same country and city since I was born, so I don't think the location is the problem.
And yes, I paid with the card a meal in Burguer King today. And nothing more.
