I am unable to import photos from iPhone to Mac.  The most recently taken photos are not showing up on the screen ready to import as usual.  Any thoughts as to why?

Remember: we cannot see your machine. There are 9 different versions of iPhoto and they run on 8 different versions of the Operating System. The tricks and tips for dealing with issues vary depending on the version of iPhoto and the version of the OS.  So to get help you need to give as much information as you can. Basic things like :
    - What version of iPhoto.
    - What version of the Operating System.
    - Details. As full a description of the problem as you can. For instance: 'iPhoto won't export' is best explained by describing how you are trying to export, and so on.
    - History: Is this going on long? Has anything been installed or deleted?
    - Are there error messages?
    - What steps have you tried already to solve the issue.
    - Anything unusual about your set up? Or how you use iPhoto?
Anything else you can think of that might help someone understand the problem you have.

  • HT201302 Is there no way to import photos from Ipod which were earlier synced from Itunes?

    Hi,
Is there a way to import photos from Ipod which were earlier synced from Itunes? If there isn't any such feature on itunes then please refer to any apps/softwares that can do the job...

    No.
You can e-mail them to yourself.
Have you failed to maintain a backup copy of your pics?

Connect the iPhone to the Mac using a USB cable, and then launch iPhoto, Photos, Image Capture, or Aperture, depending which applications you have installed. all can import from an iPhone.
Which MacOS X version do you have and which iOS version? With newer systems you can also use Photo Stream:   iCloud: Photo Stream FAQ

  • Can I import photos from iPad to Mac using WiFi?

I know I can import photos from the iPad to the Mac using the USB cable, and importing them into iPhoto.  But is it possible to do this without plugging in the iPad - i.e. with WiFi?  I couldn't find a way to make it work.
Better still, would it be possible to automatically 'sync' photos taken on the iPad to the Mac using iCloud, without also having photos from the Mac going back to the iPad?  My iPhoto archive is now quite large, and I don't want it on the iPad.
Or are there any other approaches?
I really want to be able to use the iPad to regularly "empty" my camera while travelling, and have the iPad transfer the pictures to my main photo archive (iPhoto on the Mac) whenever it gets a chance.  If this can happen automatically, that is best.  Manually initiating it via WiFi is next best.  Mnually initiating it via a USB cable is third best - still not difficult, but more steps.

Can anybody confirm this one way or the other?
If you have 800 photos on the iPad in the Photo Stream, those 800 photos will appear in the Photo Stream in iPhoto. However, if you have 7000 photos in albums in iPhoto, they will not appear in the Photo Stream on the iPad unless you place the photos into the Photo Stream. Photo Stream is its own album in iPhoto and your already imported photos in iPhoto will not appear in there unless you add them to the photo stream.
Look at one of the WiFi photo transfer apps such as WiFi Transfer App. You can send the iPad photos to your Mac using Safari on the Mac and then Imprt them to iPhoto as you see fit. You cannot send the photos directly into iPhoto with these apps.

I need to import photos from my Mac Book to my Mac desktop

if you want to move your iphtoo library then Connect the two Macs together (network, firewire target mode, etc)  or use an external hard drive formatted Mac OS extended (journaled) and drag the iPhoto library intact as a single entity from the old Mac to the pictures folder of the new Mac - launch iPhoto on the new mac and it will open the library and convert it as needed and you will be ready move forward.
If that guess is not what you want then please provide details so one can do other than guess

  • Importing photos from iPhone to mac

    iphone 7.1.2
mac 2.13 Ghz intel Core 2 Duo using Yosemite 10.10.1
i just bought a used mac, created my own user profile, and started with trying to import photos from my iPhone, but mac is not identifying all pics.  Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

Do you have iPhoto on your iPhone 4s?  Then you can save the photos that are not in the Camera Roll to the Camera Roll, or save the photos to iTunes as described in this Help page: http://help.apple.com/iphoto/iphone/1.0/?handbuch#blnkbe43137b

  • How do I import Photos from iPod?

    Hi.
I've had some computer trouble recently, and it deleted all the photos off my intel iMac. And for some reason, my older mac decided to corrupt it's iPhoto Library (Thanks, Apple!) at the very same time. There are backups on the iPod, but is ther any way to import thr photos from it?
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks.

For photos in the iPod Camera Roll (or Saved Photos for iPod without a camera)
iOS: Importing personal photos and videos from iOS devices to your computer
For other photos (synced to the iPod) you need a third-party program like PhoneView or TouchCopy

  • Putting songs from iPod onto Mac

I had to do it once on my PC, but how do I transfer all my songs from my iPod onto my Mac? I remember something about plugging in the iPod and pressing/holding something so that it didnt update. Hmm. Help please!

you can enable disc mode on your ipod, by, after plugging in the iPod and iTunes recognizes it, going into preferences->iPod->general, there's a box you can check, and then you drag your itunes folder containing all your songs from one computer on to your ipod (which should have shown up as a drive in "my computer") after it's done transferring, eject the ipod, connect it to the computer you want your library on, drag the itunes folder to that computer, and then import them all to your itunes there.
or you can go to versiontracker.com or i guess google and search for "senuti" it's a good program. It doesn't do playlists but you can export your playlists on the old itunes as "song lists" transfer them to the new itunes and import them. It'll put your playlists together.

  • To import photos from Iphone to mac is a strange thing.

There are different ways to import the Iphone pictures to the mac but the result is a strange thing.
    1. way over the osx tool digital pictures. result with osx Lion 1.1 GB (with the osx Lion it is 3.8 GB with the same Iphone and pictures)
    2. way with Iphoto with both osx exactly the same size.
Can someone explain me this strange thing?
    cheers

    Hello ALWright17
Try using Image Capture to see if they will import using that program. If it does then you drag and drop on top of iPhoto. If they do not then there may be an issue with the photos. Alternatively you can email the pictures to yourself and then save them to your computer. Check out the articles below for importing and troubleshooting photos that

    Welcome to Apple Discussions!
If you chose to copy full resolution versions, then you can easily get them.
Connect your iPod to the computer. Then open My Computer. Double click the drive representing the iPod. Open the photos folder. They should be there.
If not, you have to use a program like this...

You could search the internet via Google for some more options.
