Import photos from mobile phone

I swear I did this sometime ago... Motorola V551 with Bluetooth (although I have to use a cable!) -- How do I get photos from the camera over to one of my Macs?
G5 Dual Core and PB12   Mac OS X (10.4.6)   Airport Extreme and lots of nodes...

Thank you for your ideas.
Unfortunately the cable attached Motorola phones do not appear on the G5 desktop nor do they appear to Image Capture. Only iSync sees the Motorola phone on the G5.
On my PowerBook, Image Capture sees the phone via bluetooth but waits forever for the lame Motorola software to respond.
I'm afraid that Motorola does not want to sell any more phones to Macintosh owners. I'll go find a blog of phone recommendations and pitch these Motos.

  • HT4061 My iphone screen if frozen and grey after I tried to import photos from my phone to my mac in iPhoto.

My iphone screen has been frozen for about 30 minutes on a grey sceen with a thin white line throught it. I tried to import photos from my phone to my mac. It was working for a while, then it quit and my computer said thre was a error. I looked at my phone and it was frozen. I can't turn it off and my screen does not dim, its just stuck on the grey. I also can'tfind the serial number either. I have imported photos in the past and it has worked. I just don't know what to do or how to fix it .

    Hi ginger1616,
Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.
If your iPhone is unresponsive, try resetting it using this method:
    Resetting your device
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

  • How do I end or cancel importing photos from my phone?

I just got my new macair in the mail today and have been messing around on it. I tried to import 400+ photos from my phone and it has taken all day. I want to conduct a few of the updates its prompted me to but it won't me till my import is done. I don't know where to look or how to cancel the import so I can do the updates and try again with a smaller group of photos.
    HELP!
    Thank you!

    Hey KourtneyR,
Thanks for the question, and congrats on the new MacBook Air! Your phone is probably importing pictures into iPhoto. If so, see the following for information on how to stop an import:

  • How do I get Photo Stream to only import photos from my phone and not push photos to my phone.

    Hi
Just purchased an Imac (first time mac user) and imported all my photos from my PC.  I have been using photo stream on my phone and ipad and like it.  The problem is, as far as I can tell, that I have added thousands of photos to the Imac and it now consider those to be new additions.  It is sharing those photos to my phone and Ipad and filling both up very quickly.  Is there a way that I can only stream photos from the phone to Iphoto on my imac and not from the imac to the phone?  I realize that in 30 days, this should correct itself, but for the time being it is a huge hassle.  Im sure there is some setting in iphoto that will alleviate my problem

    If you have a mac....
    launch iPhoto
click the word "iPhoto" beside the apple, and select "preferences / photo stream"
    what synces, is listed here
uncheck what you desire, and simply close iPhoto.  It will save the changes
    Also......
Click the apple / system prefences / iCloud - if you wish to stop "photo stream" completely, you can uncheck it here.

  • Import photos from bluetooth phone

Is there any easy way to import photos from a bluetooth phone directly into iPhoto?
My wife has a motorola razor flip phone with camera
    PowerBook 12inch G4 with iphoto '05
To get the photos into iPhoto now, I do the following:
    1) Under Bluetooth menu I browse device (and choose her phone from the list)
    2) Navigate to her Pictures directory on her phone and copy pictures to a folder on her powerbook.
    3) Open up iphoto and import the pictures from that directory into iphoto
What I would like to be able to do is just import the pictures into iPhoto directly. Thanks.

not actually answered, but I am clearing this out of my Questions list

  • Can't import photos from i phone

I cannot import photos from my iphone into iphoto. It is saying they are unrecognized files

It's a shame Apple can't solve this. I used this work around: (NOTE: make sure to Unmount iPhone so that iPhone does NOT appear in finder window. Then close iPhoto and proceed as follows)
    1) Open Applications
    2) Open Image Capture
    3) Connect iPhone
    4) At the bottom, "Import To" drop down create subfolder under Pictures folder
    5) Select "Import All" or individually select items; To watch progress see the status bar at the bottom or  open subfolder you just created in Finder.
    6) After completion, quit Image Capture
    7) Disconnect iPhone
    8) Open iPhoto
    9) Import from subfolder created from Image Capture
    Speculation:
    a) Some files get bad info if they are on the iPhone too long.
    b) Some files are too large for transfer rate when it says "Preparing to Import". My 2.82GB .MOV imported just fine after moving it to my hard drive with Image Capture.

  • Printing photos from mobile phone

If I email a photo to my printer from my laptop, it prints without problem. However, if I do the same from my LG GD510 phone I always have the result "FAILED - insufficient data", though simple text emails from the phone print fine. Why is this, and what can I do about it? I have tried sending photos at both full and reduced size, with and without subject line, with and without accompanying text message.

    Hi johntyson,
I suspect this might be due to the email client that is used in your LG mobile phone.
When you try to create a new email, somehow the format is not acceptable by the ePrint server.
ePrint only support certain email client such as Outlook, AppleMail, etc
As for your gmail, perhaps you can try sending email using gmail web client  through the phone web browser?
    Thank you.

  • IPhoto has deleted all my imported photos from my phone. How do i get them back?

When I imported the original photos, I deleted them from my phone.

But the OP already specifically said that he "imported the original photos" to (presumably, from the title) iPhoto, which then deleted them from the iPhone. Therefore, they should be in iPhoto, and one of the options when you're importing is to delete the pics from the phone. If they aren't in iPhoto, something's really screwed up. We're assuming it hasn't yet.

  • Importing photos from Mobile me gallery.

I created a Mobile me gallery. Shared the gallery with a friend who added his photos to my gallery.
Now, I want to import his photos in my iPhoto library, not just view them.
    Thank you.

    Hey rmillsync -
I am having the exact same issue and of course am having to put together a highlight video based on the pictures that I am waiting to finally "sync". I tried to just move pictures over and it told me I had to import them. I keep clicking on the specific mobileme gallery, and it just continues to say "pending" and tries to update the sync. It's ridiculous. I let it run all night and nothing.
    Here's my issue:
Mobileme gallery contains some of my own iPhoto library for others to download
Same gallery has doubled in size from others uploading their own pictures
All I want to do is grab all of these (that I don't have) and import them since it forces me to import before working with them
If I try to bring them all over, will it recognize the ones that I originally uploaded as gallery as a duplicate? I am going to try and pick the ones that aren't mine, but if iPhoto would handle this it would be easier.

  • Importing photos from phone to laptop

I am unable to import photos from my phone to my laptop using desktop software. This is a new issue as I have not previously had a problem.
I have taken new photos and moved them from 'camera pictures' to 'picture library' but BB desktop software does not recognise that there are new photos to import.
    Suggestions please.

You'll need to use the Files application on your phone (normally in the Applications folder) to cut and paste them back to the camera folder.
