What is your company code currency ? If it is EURO Currency(ie. EUR),then exchange rate should be maintained for
exchange rate type 'EURX',then only rate will be reflected correctly in purchasing documents for other currencies,
'M' exchange rate type should be defined.

  • Import Procurement: Exchange rate:

    Dear Experts <
Pls tell me what is the role of exchange rate while making an imported procurement:
1.Ex rate in PO: The PO is made in INR , item price is put in USD , the system calculates the other duties n taxes in INR based on the exchange rate prevailing in the system at the time og saving the PO .
    eg. Basic Price USD 100,
system ex rate at the time of PO :45 hence basic price in INR 4500/-
    tax ( say CVD) @ 10 % is INR 450/-
2.Bill of entry is done at the exchange rate prevailing at the time of unloading the goods at the custom house.
    Basic Price USD 100
Ex Rate considered by customs : 50
    Material price 100x50 =5000
cvd @ 10%= 500/- . Thiws is the duty paid to the customs (NOT Rs 450/- as in PO) & hence this
amount is MANUALLY booked in MIRO as planned delivery cost.
    3. Goods Receipt: GR is made against the PO with ref to the customs MIRO:
Here the cost of goods is taken from PO ie Rs 4500/- & tax as Rs 500/-
    4. Payment to the import Vendor : MIRO is done in USD.
        Goods Cost : 100 USD
Ex Rate in the system at the time of making this MIRO : 55/-
The system in this case debits the cost of goods in INR  by a difference of 55-45 ie INR 1000/-
I am confused as in what should be the exchange rate in what document & what is the actual material cost in INR .
    Pls give ur opinions.
    Regards
    Anis

    Hi
system unless entered manually during ME21N or during MIRO takes the value of  Exchange rate fromthe reference table OB08 only no where else. You may try all combinations during your PO creation it will refer the OB08 rate only since we can not enter the exchage rate during MIGO.
Similarly it will refer the OB08 table for the exchange rate of the day if the table is updated regularly on a day to day basis.

  • Exchange rate issue during PO creation

    Dear Friends
I am getting the below error whenever I am trying to create an Import PO
Enter rate USD / INR rate type  for 28.10.2010 in the system settings
    Message no. SG105
I have entered the rates in OB08 table-  for direct & Indiret exchange rates for M
I also have cheched the OBBS and made entries for the date 28.10.2010
But still I am getting the error
    How do I proceed

    Guys
We have solved this issue. Even though we were getting the SG105 error, the real problem was some where else.
We have never used CIN in our our organisation as it is not applicable. The problem we did is to use the Import pricing procedure for our use which was copied from IN: Purchasing for Imported materials.
Whenever we tried to create a Import PO it was validating the CVD entries which we make in the company code settings for Tax on Goods Movements. Once I maintained a dummy G/L account the error was gone.
The problem is why it validated CVD during PO creation we never understood. Since in my opinion CVD capturing is done during Invoicing verification stage and not during PO stage. Either way we have already updated these details to the SAP Support bench.
    Thanks
    Samuel

  • Importing video  Frame Rate Off???

I am importing video which was shot on a DVX 100 at 24p the image plays fine on my playback deck but when I Play the digitized footage in FC it appears to be in fast forward... Not sure if this is a Frame Rate Issue???

I don't understand. Did the captured clips playback fine in fcp last night? How did you digitize them? You need to either use the correct capture preset in fcp or modify an existing preset. If you're using another piece of software to capture, you gotta let us know this info.

so user dont want to enter following conditions in the PO as these condition's rate are changes everytime. And at the time of PO creation user is unaware of these condition's rate.
Normally we don't enter rate but %, which is constant & which is always known w.r.t. Material & Standard Customs Law, So there is NO Question of entering rates, % can be mapped with MEK1 & Foreign Vendors which flows automatically
He wants to put total customs amount directly
Normally User always demand as per there comfort, but as a consultant you have to say the standard Imports process, For more comfort if they want they have the full liberty to consult SAP. So In a nutshell they have to follow the proposed Imports cycle & there is no other option then following the Standard Imports Process, Also you can get Lots of Post regarding the Indian Imports cycle in SCN Forums.

  • Final Cut Pro dropped frame rate issue

Hi there, i currently shot a short film on the canon 5d mark II 30fps and i am trying to edit it in final cut studio 2. I have recently bought the new macbook pro 15inch 2gb module.
Now the canon footage is h.264 but when importing the clips into final cut pro 6 there is a lot of dropped frame rate issues but I thought this machine could handle HD footage?
Can someone more advanced than myself recommend what i am doing wrong or a work flow that i can work with to stop dropped frame rates and render times.
Last piece of information, the project will be entered in film festivals in the spring its only a 3 minute short and i have 5 folders of footage under 4gb each which was taken from the camera
    Thanks for your help.
    Michael

You are missing a huge conceptual point. If the file can not spool off of the hard drive fast enough, you get dropped frames. It isn't a processor or ram issue right now, it is a hard drive speed issue. Your system drive is overtaxed trying to run OSX, applications AND spool video. It just can't keep up. Changing the graphic card isn't going to help (and how do you change the card in a laptop?)
Get an external esata drive - with the new MacBookPro you'll need an esata Expresscard34 adapter for the computer to connect the drive. Firewire is not an option with that machine and USB2 will not cut it with high data rate formats like ProRes.
When you drop in the ProRes clip to the timeline and it tells you there is a mismatch, this means your preset for the timeline is something other than your clip. You WANT ProRes and you need the sequence to match your clip - tell the program to CHANGE the sequence to match the clip.
Video is not easy and it isn't inexpensive. Time to open up those manuals and your wallet!
    Good luck,
    x

  • Exchage rate table pop up when selecting Debtors

    Hi Experts,
Everytime I try and raise a sales document, the exchange rate table pops up where I first have to enter an exchage rate as soon as I select any BP.
Where can I deselect this from happening?
    Thank you.

    Hello Xander...welcome to the forum...
You need to set the appropriate rates with the following path Administration > Exchange Rates and Indexes.  They need to be set for each day.  Hopefully you have an auto import function set up.
My clients do not use this but is something I learned while in Germany, so that is about all I can tell you...
Take care and hope it helps - Zal

  • Exchange Rate Issue ( Ditect & Indirect Quotation )

    Dear,
    Alll Experts.
I am stuck up at one level , that is Exchange Rate issue.
User is creating shopping cart in SRM, Local Currency is USD and the goods is ordering from Canada ( CAD ).
While doing this amount is getting calculated   in - ( Negative ), And it is going to wrong approval for shopping cart approval.
When I see the TCURR table I am seeing there as negative sign in exchange rate because it is maintained in Indirect Quotation.
I want to calculate the same amount in postive figure.
How this can be achieve? If I maintain the same in direct quotation it will calculate positive but final amount will be bigger which is not proper one.
    Experts guidance will be helpful.
    Regards,
    Sharvari Joshi.

    Hi,
I gave the OB08 entries, not sure if you wanted me to explain the logic. Here it is..
Maintain 'Indirect quotation' from Local currency(USD) to Transaction currency(CAD) and 'Direct quotation' from Transaction currency(CAD) to Local currency(USD).
Direct quotation is where the cost of one unit of foreign currency is given in units of local currency, whereas indirect quotation is where the cost of one unit of local currency is given in units of foreign currency.
    Your local currency is USD:
    - Direct exchange rate: 1CAD = 0.92819 USD
    - Indirect exchange rate: 1USD = 1.08238 CAD
The following settings have been made in the standard system:
      - Direct quotation: ' '
    -   Indirect quotation: ' / '
Direct exchange rates do not have a prefix.
Your local currency is USD. You enter a business transaction in the transaction currency CAD. Until now, you had to use direct quotation to enter the exchange rate (1CAD =0.92819 USD). If you have defined '/' as the prefix for indirect quotation, you can also enter the exchange rate with indirect quotation (1 USD = 1.08238 CAD) by entering '/1.08238' in the exchange rate field.
Direct or indirect quotation can be maintained as the standard form of quotation for a certain currency pair. You use:
             - '1' for direct quotation
             - '2' for indirect quotation
If a standard form of quotation has not been specified for a currency pair, the system automatically uses direct quotation.
You make the settings in the IMG: General Settings -- Currencies -- Set Standard for Direct/Indirect Quotation per Currency Pair.
    Thanks
    Ganesh

  • Premiere Pro CS6 for Broadcast ProRes HQ Frame rate issues

I switched from Avid to work on a quick project with DSLR footage shot on the 5D Mark III at 29.97 psf which is not to be confused with 29.97i, a standard frame rate necessary for broadcast.   So the commercial spot was cut together, I punched in the proper settings (the very same settings that work with Avid 6.0+ and Final Cut Pro 7), and hit export.  When exporting either a Quicktime Animation or Pro Res file from Premiere Pro CS6, premiere creates a file with a faulty framerate, it comes out as 28.4 instead of 29.97.  I thought I was going crazy, but no, there are tons of documented experiences with 23.94 being 20-something, and on an on.  It seems as if Adobe did not do a good enough job with integrating the Pro Res codec into their software.  The only way I could get around it was to export to something else (Blu-ray H.264 at 29.97), and then re-encode that file to Pro Res HQ with either compressor or adobe media encoder.   The problem lies in exporting progressive footage as interlaced, it just completely screws up the frame rate.    The worst bit is that, I need Pro Res HQ for the distribution house for the commercial spots, they require the ProRes HQ MOV at 29.97i and if anything is off, I get charged for it.
Does anyone else have problems with Adobe Premiere lacking on the professional end? Or similar experience with this problem?
Just do a search for pro res frame rate issue premiere and you will see a lot of other users with the same issue.
    Thanks,

  • DVCPro HD frame rate issues

I'm sure that this question has been asked before, but I performed a couple searches and couldn't find a thread to perfectly answer it.
I have a tape that was shot (with the Pansasonic HDX900, shot to tape and not P2) at two formats, 720/24P and 720/60P. Most of the tape was shot at 24P, but the cameraman shot a few minutes shot at 60P to create slow motion. Both 24P and 60P are on the same tape. I am capturing directly from the camera, not from a deck. I have a couple issues:
1.) My device control through FCP does not seem to be working, so I can only capture with "capture now." My device control setting seems to be right (DVCPro Firewire), and I've tried to restarting FCP and the camera. It doesn't seem like this is a trash-the-prefs issue, so does anyone have any thoughts? I have driven the camera's deck through FCP before.
2.) What is the best way to work with the different frame rates? Right now it captures at 60P no matter which capture setting I have it set at (when shot at 24P it duplicates frames to make it 60P). Is this a result of mixing formats on the same tape?
    I'm a little lost, thanks.
    Stef

It doesn't have that function and after consulting the manual (again) I am beginning to believe that playback control is only possible internally to the camera, rather than externally from another device. It doesn't explicitly state this, but the manual DOES specifically mention the record start/stop functions but has no mention of playback start and stop.
That said, the larger issue at the moment and for the future is the frame rate issue.

  • Video frame rate issues

When I watch flash videos (mostly in hd and from youtube or gametrailers) in full screen, the frame rate becomes noticably slower.  I have tried the 10.1 beta3 and this fixes the frame rate issue, but several times per video the image garbles.  Everything runs fine outside of fullscreen.  Otherwise I'm using Vista/Win7 64 bit with a 2.6 ghz Core 2 Duo, a radeon 4850 (latest drivers), and 2+ gigs of free memory.  When running 10.1 without hardware acceleration or earlier versions with default settings my cpu usage never goes above 20% on each core.  Does anyone know how to fix the image garblng or low framerates while in full screen?
    Thank you in advance!

  • Sync rate issues ?

Hi ...im curious to know why i can sync at 60meg download but im lucky if i can get 8meg upload on a good day ....ive even been connected solid for 2months just to watch my attainable rate degrade bit by bit and eventually cause a crash because my sync is higher than my attainable. After the crash though everything is normal again ...but i go through the same thing over and over, the upload speed is a little slow i thought ....if i can get 60meg down then surely i should be able to get at least 15 up ?

This is not a bug, but a nuisance.
You should upgrade to LP 7.1.1, which is way more stable than 7.1.0. No need for you to go to LP 7.2.
"Then I got vocals at 48 kHz so I had to convert the sample rate in Logic Pro to match it."
Are you certain, that in your song, in your regions, you used the newly converted 44.1kHz files, chosen from the Audio Window, and not (still) the old 48kHz files?
"So Logic is fine at 48kHz. But when I go to a track that's at 44.1kHz, I get the sync messages again"
LP doesn't do this well. And for a reason, but we'll not get into this now.
See: "Audio > Sample Rate > ..." and select one.
Perform proper conversion and make sure ALL of your audio files running in your song are congruent. Check your Audio Window and the files associated to the regions.
Set up your autoload to contain these settings. From then on, whenever you know that you will be importing other sample rates, change the settings in "Audio > Sample Rate > ..." before loading the sounds/files, if indeed you are starting from scratch. This will save you significant time.
    Been there, done that.

  • Frame rate issues when displaying video on 50" Plasma

I've been using  my Mac Mini (Late 2009) as a media centre since I bought it in Dec 2009. Until recently it's been great working with everything I throw at it.
Over the last two weeks though I've noticed issues with lower frame rates and jerky video performance. When I try to watch a film full-screen on my 50" tv I get a much reduced frame rate to the point that I'm using it less and less as a media centre. When I run them windowed the frame rate issue is still present but less apparent than when I run it full screen.
During full-screen playback my processors are at 85%-90% capacity.
    System:
    Mac Mini 2009
    2.53 Mhz
    4gb Ram
    Nvidia 3400`
    Mac OSX 10.6.7
    TV
Connected to Panasonic 50" plasma via HDMI (Mini-display port to HDMI)
    Screen resolution 1600 x 900.
I've been trying it with the digital version of Tron Legacy (m4v format, 1.84GB, 854 x 480) and more simple .avi files ripped from my dvd collection and get the same result.
    Action Taken
    I've reinstalled the 10.6.7 combo
Run ONYX to update to preferences etc
Ran TechTools to check any memory issues
Looking for any tips as this is really confusing me. My next step is to wipe the entire system and start again but I only did this a couple of months ago so I'm not keen to try again.

yeah I'm kinda limited, working with video for the web and I'm making revisions as to what has been already posted. The H264s are the originals per say as we are using a screen capturing program to obtain the video, I could re export the originals at a truer format, but with the resources I'm given, its not truly the option I can afford to take. I've found a workaround through using imovie of all things, but I rather be in FCP. I've done some editing with h264s before and this is the first time I've seen this happen, it kind of reminds me of when I had an editor a few years back digitize video that was drop frame as non-drop.
