    Hi Gurus
May i kno the import process when we procure mobiles, load software in them and sell?
I have no idea of steps and config.
    Thanks & Regards
    Blue

    Hi,
Both domestic and import process are same and the difference is the duties, kindly follow the below steps.
    1. Create new document type for Import procurement and number range for easy identification.
    2. Keep two different pricing procedure for import and domestic along with schema.
    3. Keep condition type for  CVD, Customs, CESS and others.
    4. Do MIRO for Customs duty and MIGO after stock reached you.
    5. Do excise availment and do MIRO for vendor.
    Hope it is clear...

  • Internal Order Process for Assets

    Hi experts,
Can you please provide the process from internal order to settlement for assets.
And is the process is same for normal assets and AUC?.
Can we change the Order Status for AUC?
    Thanks,
    Ravi.

    Dear Ravi,
    1. first create an internal order through KO01. That internal order type should be for investment purpose.
    2. Give the relevant detials and go to investment tab and give investment profile.
3 Then in toolbar go to extras and select "asset under construction". An asset under construction would be created and give the details of this asset.
    4. Then release the internal order in KO02.
    5. Then go to GB60 and post a invoice with this internal order as account assignment object.
    6. GO to KO02 and in extras see the order balance. that amount would be reflected in the order.
    7. now go to KO88 and execute the internal order through which your internal order will be credited and AUC which you created would be debited.
    8. Now go to KO02 and see the order balance it would show 0 as it is moved to AUC.
    9. Now to go to settement rule and give the asset to which u want to transfer this amount and take the category as FXA and give the detials.
    9. now go to KO02 and change the status of internal order to "TECO complete".
10 Now go to KO88 and execute the order and now the AUC is credited and your asset is debited.
This is the exhaustive steps which i think wil solve your purpose.
But make sure the configuration about the order type and investment profile are properly maintained.
    Thanks

  • Import Process for South Africa

    Dear All,
My client KLT Automotive is based in India. It has plants in India at several locations. They have put a new plant in South Africa. The procurement process will take place from India as well as South Africa.South Africa  will also Import goods from KLT India.
According to South Africa taxation, only VAT 14% and Customs Duties are applicable on Import Goods.I would ike to know how will the process flow will take place in the SAP system.
As for India Imports the following are the steps:
    1.Import PO
    2.Commercial Invoice/Bill of Entry
    3.Goods Receipt
    4.Invoice for the foreign vendor
I tried a similar process ,but the pop-up for Commercial Invoice does not come during Goods Receipt. The currency in PO was ZAR(South African Rand ) and commercial Invoice was also ZAR (South African Rand ).Was this the reason because which I could not enter the commercial Invoice number during Goods Receipt?

    Hi,
The process is same as below.
    1  Import PO.
    2. Commercial Invoice/Bill of Entry.
    3. Goods Receipt.
    4. Invoice for the foreign vendor.
And in PO for custom condition type enter local Vendor, which is having local currency as ZAR (South African Rand) by selecting lens button.
While capturing delivery cost during MIRO system will proposes this vendor and the currency will flow from vendor master. Then do GR and Invoice for the foreign vendor in other country.
And if both the plants are in same company code then follows STO process and even if it inter company code still you can do STO with by creating vendor/customer in supplying and receiving plant.

  • Import process for third country (SAP Application)

    Hi Experts,
Currently we are using SAP Foreign Trade for European union countries to declare Intrastat and Extrastat to customs union.
Our requirement is a SAP Application to import with a third country which has no free trade agreement or is not a member country of a customs union. ( for example India vs Japan)
Is there any SAP standard application or SAP Add on's to meet the above requirement?
    by
    Prabhu

    Hello Prabhu ,
In the standard SAP system design , Extrastat is only available for Germany and the Netherlands.
I hope this information has been helpful for you.

  • Separate Distribution Monitor Export and Import Processes on Multiple Machines

    Hi,
Would you kindly let me know whether it is possible (means officially supported way) to run Distribution Monitor Export and Import processes on different machines?
As per SAP note 0001595840 "Using DISTMON and MIGMON on source and target systems", it says as below.
    > 1. DISTMON expects the export and import to be carried out on the same server
I think it means that export and import processes for the same tables must be run on the same machine, is it correct? If yes, Export on the machine A, and then Import those exported data on the other machine B is not the officially supported way... (However, I know it is technically possible.)
    Kind regards,
    Yutaka

    Hi Yutaka,
Point no. 2 & 3 clarify the confusion. However let me explain it briefly:
Distribution Monitor is used basically in case of migration of large SAP systems (database). It provides the feature to increase parallelism of export and import, distributing the process across available systems.
You have to prepare the system for using DistMon. A common directory needs to be created as"commDir" and in case you use multiple systems for executing more number of processes of export and import then that "commDir" should be shared across all those systems.  And this is what the Point no.1 in KBA 1595840 mentions about. Distribution Monitor will run both the export and import process from the machine which is prepared for using DistMon and DistMon itself will control the other processes i.e. MigMon. No need to start separate MigMon.
For example: You are performing a migration of SAP system based on OS:AIX and DB:DB2 to  OS: HP-UX and DB: Oracle. You need to perform the export using DistMon and you are having 4 Windows servers which can be used for parallel export/import. Once you have prepared the system for DistMon which hosts the "commDir" you'll have to provide the information of involved host machines in the "distribution_monitor_cmd.properties" file. Now when DistMon is executed it will distribute the export and import process across the systems which were defined in "distribution_monitor_cmd.properties" file automatically.

  • Period closing for assets accounting

    HI experts
Since we are in 2009 i need to transfer the assets from 2008-2009, while doing the same through AJRW message is coming to close the books for 2007. on closing the books for 2007 through AJAB the error message comes some of the assets depriciation has not been completely posted . Actually the depriciation for dec'07 has been posted during book closure in dec'07 & BS has been printed on the basis of the same . However during 2008 we found some of assets having the start dep date is wrong , hence we have changed the date in 2007. the Depriciation for Jan to Nov'08 has already been posted without any error . kindly advice me how to proceed .
    Regards
    Saroj

    Hi Saroj
Usually, during the year end closing process for Assets we initially need to close the previous Fiscal Year through TC: AJAB.
At this point of time if the depreciation run is not done in the past or depreciation for some of the assets not posted completely we cannot close the FY.
Similarly an error relating to determination of the base insurable value for asset will also occur in company code. Message: The base insurable value for this asset could not be determined.
Usually missing index figures are the cause for this error.
Therefore check the insurance specifications using master data maintenance. You should analyze the error by using the fiscal year change function in the screen for the insurance specifications.
I hope this will solve your problem

  • Aperture import process like a kettle boiling

Everybody knows that age old platitude that a watched kettle never boils. Similarly I have the impression that an unwatched import process never properly finishes or sometimes even starts!
I can leave the import process for about two minutes, got back to see how things are progressing (what with the fan blowing a gale) and its only done two pictures, then it magically starts to import them… oh the boss is about, better look busy. This happens every time!

Kevin Weatherly: I do have everything maxed out yes, sure I have a few other programs open too, but I notice it just now. When I got AP3 it was awful to import, the as point releases came it got a lot better. I notice this slow down with nothing open also, this is common sense and so that's why I'm not sure why its happening.
The issue though is that if I leave AP for a long time and nothing progresses, it matters not how long this period is, when I come to it and click on the processing animation to reveal the info pane AP then starts to get to work. It happens all too often and really behaves like its not doing any work unless the boss is looking.
SierraDragon: Look at the words I've written, if you don't and you post like that again you'll get a non stop argument on your hands. That I won't back down from. Don't ever post on my thread with comments like that again.

  • Subcontracting for assets

    Dear Gurus,
I am trying to test a subcon process for asset repair and am doing the following steps:
    - create subcon PO with asset as a recursive item.
    - transfer posting to vendor stock
    - 57F4 challan creation since the asset is excisable
    - GRN for the repaired asset
    - reconcile the challan
    - close the challan.
I am facing an issue at the time of reconciliation. the system is not reconciling the component that i sent out and it stays zero even after i reconcile the document and save it. In the J1IFR report i find that the reconciliation is pending.
please tell me if I am on a totally wrong track and if not then what am I missing.
    thanks in advance
    Gurvinder

NO, you have to change the Movement Type Group for receipts (i.e. 0002). You have to assign the same in Subc Attributes of Excise Group.
    Check following config.
    - SPRO > Logistics - General > Tax on Goods Movements > India > Business Transactions > Subcontracting > Subcontracting Attributes
    Here maintain following;
    Excise Group         XX
    Excise TT            57FC
    Subtransaction Type  01
    Subtran Type Text   57FC CHALLAN
    Subc. Period        180
    Rate-subcontracting
    Mvt Grp Issues      0001
    Mvt Grp Receipt     0002
    Filter Non exise
    EI Items            10
    No. range no.       01
    ***. Val. /Exc Inv
    Subcon Output Type  J1IF
    - SPRO > Logistics - General > Tax on Goods Movements > India > Business Transactions > Subcontracting > Maintain Movement Type Groups
    Here maintain following
    MVT. Grp. MvT S
    0001      101 O
    0001      541 O
    0002      542
    0002      542 O
    0002      543 O

  • LDAP import for Asset Inventory - eDir support?

After reading the docs, it seems to indicate that if you wish to do an LDAP import for Asset Inventory (for demographic data) that you can only do a one to one relationship for the main item types.
    Meaning:
eDir User stuff can only be mapped to ZCM "user" stuff
Workstation stuff can only be mapped to ZCM Device stuff.
Since eDir does not have workstation things (unless you happen to be migrating from ZFD, in which case the eDir items will eventually be removed via the AWI process or no longer updated), I have to ask if eDir is truly supported?
I can see AD because users AND computers have to be in AD (well unless you wish to punish yourself and have your pc's be in a workgroup and not be in your AD Domain, but I've yet to see any customer have an AD domain and NOT have their workstations be members of said domain).
But seems the only LDAP import you could do with eDir (especially if ZCM is your first install) is user level items, but I'm not sure that would actually accomplish anything for DEVICES.
We had wanted to take the user level "location" and "department" fields and map them to the workstations. Appears the only way to do this is via the old method used by jared jennings for ZFD (I see he's updated it for ZCM as well)
Am I wrong? Is there a way to map eDir user level attributes to the device so that when you look at Site/Department on the device it has the items based up on the user that logs into it?

  • Export/Import Process in the UI for Variations Content Translation is Generating CMP Files with No XML

We have a SharePoint 2010 Publishing Website that uses variations to deliver contain to multiple languages. We are using a third-party translation company to translate publishing pages. The pages are
exported using the  export/import using the UI process described here: "http://blogs.technet.com/b/stefan_gossner/archive/2011/12/02/sharepoint-variations-the-complete-guide-part-16-translation-support.aspx".
Certain sub-sites are extremely content-intensive. They may contain many items in the Pages library as well as lists and other sub-sites.
For some sub-sites (not all), the exported CMP file contains no XML files. There should be a Manifest.XML, Requirements.XML, ExportSettings.XML, etc., but there are none. After renaming the CMP file
to CAB and extracting it, the only files it contains are DAT files.
The only difference I can see between the sub-sites that generate CMP files with no XML files is size. For example, there is one site that is 114 MB that produces a CMP file with no XML files. Small
sites do not have this problem. If size is the problem, then I would think the process would generate an error instead of creating a single CMP file that contains only DAT files. However, I do not know exactly what the Export/Import Process in the UI is doing.
    This leads to two questions:
    1.
Does anyone know why some CMP files, when renamed to *.CAB and extracted, would not contain the necessary XML files?
    2. Second, if exporting using the UI will not work, can I use PowerShell? I have tried the Export-SPWeb, but the Manifest.XML does not contain translatable
content. I have not found any parameters that I can use with Export-SPWeb to cause the exported CMP to be in the same format as the one produced by the Export/Import process in the UI.
As a next step, we could try developing custom code using the Publishing Service, but before doing this, I would like to understand why the Export/Import process in the UI generates a CMP that
    contains no XML files.
If no one can answer this question, I would appreciate just some general help on understanding exactly what is happening with the Export/Import Process -- that is, the one that runs when you select
the export or import option in the Site Manager drop down. Understanding what it is actually doing will help us troubleshoot why there are no XML files in certain export CMPs and assist with determining an alternate approach.
    Thanks in advance
Kim Ryan, SharePoint Consultant kim.ryan@[no spam]pa-tech.com

I wanted to bump this post to see about getting some more responses to your problem. I'm running into the same problem as well. We're running a SharePoint 2010 site and are looking at adding variations now. The two subsites with the most content take a
while to generate the .cmp file (one to two minutes of the browser loading bar spinning waiting on the file). Both files are generated with a lot of .dat files but no .xml files. I was thinking like you that it must be a size issue. Not sure though. Did you
ever happen to find a solution to this problem?

  • APP-OFA-48392: Depreciation has been processed for this asset

    Hi,
we are working in oracle applications 11i.
In Oracle assets module, on the attempt from the user to modify the description of an asset item (from asset workbench -open) , when clicking the DONE button, the following error shows up:
APP-OFA-48392: Depreciation has been processed for this asset for the current period in book...
Please rollback depreciation or close the current period to perform this transaction
    Any ideas please...

    Hi
If you have run depreciation for a particular period and thereafter try to make modification to any asset in the same period - the system will not allow you to do the same.
If you have to make the changes than perform either of the following steps as mentioned below:
    1) rollback the depreciation for the current period by running the Rollback Depreciation program from the SRS Window
    OR
    2) Close the period by running the depreciation and thereafter make the changes to the asset in the next period.
Without doing the above, the system will not allow you to make the changes to the asset.
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks
    Manish Jain.
