Import queue in hang status
Hi,
We are not able to transport a single TR into our quality environment. When we import selected TR its showing in running status.
After analysis we have found that all the background work process are in running condition, which cause the issue. But the user which occupy the background job is a background user which is used for CUA system updation. After 8 hours of waiting we found that still all the background process are occupied by that user only. Later we deleted the process it works fine and after that we are able to do the transport to quality.
But today again all the background process are occupied by that user and we are unable to transport .
Any hint how to find out the root cause of this issue.
Regards,
Jituda
Hi,
The issue got resolved,
We are getting the spool internal dump as well in the system. The SAP Note 48284 - System can no longer create spool requests resolve the issue.

How to delete 100+ released requests from the import queue?
Hello
How to delete 100+ released requests from the import queue?
One by one or there is more convinient way?
ThanksTo delete multiple non-imported transport requests, you do the following while in the import queue on STMS:
1) Highlight the status field of the import queue.
2) Sort the import queue by the status.
3) Put your cursor on the first non-imported transport, right-click, and click on Select Block.
4) Scroll down and put your cursor on the last non-imported transport, right-click and click on Select Block. This will highlight all requests from the first one selection to the last one selected.
5) Go to menu option Request > Delete.
If all of the requests in the import queue haven't been imported (no imported, including failed import, requests), you can jump to Steps 3-5. -
Import queue frequently goes into locked status.
Hi Team,
In STMS--->import overview---->( SID )
Im fornt of SID , we see locked button frequently. Even after unlocking the queue, it comes again.
Please let me know if you have any hint on this.
Best Regards,
Tushar.Hi,
SAP_BASIS release ?
Check weather the <SID>_MOVE.LOC file is there under \usr\sap\trans\buffer directory ? <SID> is the System ID for which the import queue is getting locked frequently.
If such file is there, then delete it. Then refresh the Import Queue.

Need to delete the SPAM requests from the import queue
Dear all,
There were some issues with my QA system SAP patch application and we were forced to do a DB refresh from our production system. Now our QA system ABAP stack is having an issue with the STMS import queue which shows 4 old patches(witch were applied to the system before the refresh) with u201Crequest will not be importedu201D status. When I try to delete these requests from the import queue it shows the following error
u201CThis is tp version 372.04.29 (release 700, unicode enabled)
ERROR: Client 'ALL' is not possible.
tp returncode summary:
TOOLS: Highest return code of single steps was: 0
ERRORS: Highest tp internal error was: 0246
standard output from tp and from tools called by tpu201D
When I try to import a new support package it gives the following error,
Error in phase: CHECK_REQUIREMENTS
Reason for error: QUEUE_NOT_EMPTY
Not sure how these requests arew still in the import queue even after the DB refresh. How can I delete these 4 old requests from the import queue?
The System is ECC6.0 ABAP+JAVA stack with Oracle 10g on Win2003 server.
Thank you,
Siju SamDear Ganesh,
I have tried the steps you suggested, but still the import queue is not cleared.
Now I just wanted to remove these entires from the STMS=>queue=>import queue list.
Number Request Clt Owner Short Text
1 SAPKB70013 ALL SAPUSER Basis Support Package 13 for 7.00
2 SAPKA70013 ALL SAPUSER ABA Support Package 13 for 7.00
3 SAPKB70014 ALL SAPUSER Basis Support Package 14 for 7.00
4 SAPKA70014 ALL SAPUSER ABA Support Package 14 for 7.00
I think these requests(Patches) are not there in the tp buffer/(import queue) but somehow some table entries shows the status that they are still in the queue. So I just wanted to reset the status that These TPs are already applied.
Thank you,

How to clear import queue?
Hi All,
we are using WebAS 6.20 and we have a huge number of transports in our landscape.
The import queue of our systems therefore is quite big (several thousand transports) and slow.
I found an option "Delete Imported Requests".
But most of the transports get a yellow (ready for import again) or green (waiting to be imported) status after import and not an "already imported" status.
So the option above ignores them.
Any ideas welcome.
Thanks in advance,
MartinHi Martin,
Generally, you'll want to keep the list of transports shown in the queue short and leave the transport files out on in the transport directory for a longer period of time. But, that of course depends on how much space you have and the policies your company has for keeping files around.
Is this for a large installation of SAP?
Thanks,

dkarHi,
Execute the tcode STMS_IMPORT and then enter the system name and click on Queue->open.
If it works then good. else an extensive search in forum will fetch you results on this.

Transport Request is disappearing from the import queue
Hi everybody,
I am facing a problem with the transport import queue. When I exported a transport request and entered the STMS transaction, initially it is showing the request. But when I double click on the system(like DEV or PRD) it is saying "there are no requests in the import queue".
Please help in resolving this issue.
Thanks in advance,
Sreeharsha SinguruGoto transaction SE01 and enter the transport number and put the cursor on the Transport number ans click Transport Logs (CtrlShiftF2) and see the structure .
This will give u the details of the Development , Quality , and Production Status for that request.
Like whether this request is moved to quality or production . This you can make out from the Tree Node Structure of that Log .
Check this .
If this is not there in the Quality then it is not imported from queue .

STMS - Import Queue not updating
Hi,
I'm hoping for a little guidance to track down a problem.
We have a simple 3 system configuration (DEV > QAS > PROD) and we're currently about 2 months away from going live with the Production box.
However, the STMS import queue for Production hasn't updated since 13/09. It's status is "Data obsolete or missing".
Being a bit of a novice, I'm not sure where to start to try track down why, after 12 months, this queue has stopped updating.
Any help would be appreciated.
ThanksIf the queue is not been updated the most likely scenario is that it can't read the trasnport directory or the STMS config is not maintained properly... what happen when you try to refresh the queue?... any errors?, Check the system status in the domain controller if theres an issue try to redistribute.

hi all,
i had restarted my servers in the morning since then i can read import queue of qty
from dev but can when i try to read import queue from prd to dev it shows status
"copying import queue" that run forever. at os level i can see the request in the import
buffer.i even activated and distributed the configuration but of no help.please help me out.
sanjeevhi joe,
i am realy very-very thankful to you as it worked like magic .
As your reccomendation i found that there were two tp.exe
processes were running and there was a lock file SLOG0914.PRD.LOC
exist in usr/sap/trans/tmp folder. i rename this file to SLOG0914.PRD.LOC.old.
this killed one tp.exe process and i am able to see the import queue of prd.
thanks once again

Need TP command for Add Transport Request to import Queue all at a time
Hi SAP gurus,
Can you tell the o/s or TP command to Add Transport Request to import Queue all at a time which are available in co files directory ,
Because I have to add 500- 600 request . For every request I canu2019t do like this STMS_IMPORT -- Extras=> other requests -add--
Thanks and regards
babuHi,
You can export list of all transport requests from your DEV system in one shot, from SE09-> Display (provide your required selection criteria) -> Goto -> "Display as List"
You can export these all Transport Requests as Spreadsheet. Then Filter out all your required 400 to 500 Transport Requests.
Now,use another excel sheet to create a file with the list of required transport request Nos only, then concatenate all of them to generate the required TP commands as mentioned below.
The syntax will become as follows:
column1 column2 column3
tp addtobuffer DEVK900123 <SID> pf=<Drive>:\usr\sap\trans\bin\TP_DOMAIN_<SID>.PFL
tp addtobuffer DEVK900124 <SID> pf=<Drive>:\usr\sap\trans\bin\TP_DOMAIN_<SID>.PFL
tp addtobuffer DEVK900125 <SID> pf=<Drive>:\usr\sap\trans\bin\TP_DOMAIN_<SID>.PFL
tp addtobuffer DEVK900126 <SID> pf=<Drive>:\usr\sap\trans\bin\TP_DOMAIN_<SID>.PFL
tp addtobuffer DEVK900127 <SID> pf=<Drive>:\usr\sap\trans\bin\TP_DOMAIN_<SID>.PFL
tp import DEVK900123 <SID> client=### pf=<Drive>:\usr\sap\trans\bin\TP_DOMAIN_<SID>.PFL
tp import DEVK900124 <SID> client=### pf=<Drive>:\usr\sap\trans\bin\TP_DOMAIN_<SID>.PFL
tp import DEVK900125 <SID> client=### pf=<Drive>:\usr\sap\trans\bin\TP_DOMAIN_<SID>.PFL
tp import DEVK900126 <SID> client=### pf=<Drive>:\usr\sap\trans\bin\TP_DOMAIN_<SID>.PFL
tp import DEVK900127 <SID> client=### pf=<Drive>:\usr\sap\trans\bin\TP_DOMAIN_<SID>.PFL
-> Open Notepad and Copy+Paste these three columns & save the text file in the <Drive>:\usr\sap\trans\bin\ folder.
-> Then rename this .txt file to *.bat.
-> open a command prompt and change to the <Drive>:\usr\sap\trans\bin\ folder and run the .bat batch file.
Make sure that object lists of all the Trans. Requests are checked and confirmed for the transport to avoid data incosistency in target system. (e.g. Number Range Object)

Request not visible in the production import queue
Hi all.
When importing some requests in the QUA system, these requests do not automatically appear in the PRD import queue: they need to be added manually.
This only happens for some request: there are requests which automatically appear in the import queue of the production system.
There is no approval queue used.
I'm looking for the cause of this behaviour, but without success until now.
Can anybody help?
Thanks a lot,
DinoHello Dino,
This might happen when the request is originated from a system which is not inside the same transport domain of the target system (QA/PRD).
So if you've DEV > QAS > PRD landscape and you've somehow imported a transport ABCK9xxxx of system ABC into the DEV, then qas then prd, it won't appear automatically in the next target queue, but you've to manually add it.

Dear experts,
We have DEV,QAS & PRD(ON AIX and oracle 9.2) and solman (win2k3 & oracle 10.20 single system TMS).Few days ago we had configured Change request management successfully. As per requirement we had made Domain link between SOLMAN and Domain controller (QAS).Everything was working fine till two days ago when we observed that R/3 systems were not able to read the import queue of SOLMAN.Even solman was not reading its own import queue and giving error TP PROGRAM COULD NOT BE STARTED.checked sharing, permissions, hosts file entry ,service file entry ,rfcs(CALLTP_WindowsNT) but no benefit. But while checking dev_rfc we got the log

RahulHi,
Have you tried restarting the SAP system (SOLMAN system) ?
Please check the HOST file on each server whether it also contains "host" entries for other servers.
Also check the below note if applicable in your problem.
