  • Urgent-Importing A/R Invoices thru DTW

I want to import the previous Invoices for a client in SAP from their legacy system. How do I do that. Please help Ots urgent. I have to do it in next two days. I am elaborating the instance.
Requirement- Importing all the open A/R Invoices. The invoices should be visible in SAP screen as open with all the relevant details. The aging report and the incoming payments should also reflect the open invoices as due.

Although you can import invoices either through the DTW or visual basic script you should be aware that the first thing you need to consider is are you going to import them as fully paid, etc.
For example I have learned the hard way that if you want to import closed invoices - only import fully paid ones and mark them paid as you import them. You will also have to perform journal entries to reverse the transactions that are going to occur when you import them.
Do the open invoices separately and only import fully open invoices - I suggest that you not try to import an invoice that is partially paid as this will cause you headaches.
Also watch the order that you do these things as you need to maintain the integrety of the general ledger.

  • DTW Template for Segmented COA

    Hi All
I want to know that, Is it possible to import Segmented COA data including Active and title Account.
When I am trying I am able to import only titles, this is because I can make title account without segment.
But in case of  Active acoount, the fields I have used in template are -
    Segment_0    Segment_1, .  . . . .  AccntName etc but in DTW all segment field was unmapped.
Can anybody provide me template for Segmented COA?

  • Import to prior periods using DTW

Is there any way to import transactions to a prior period?  I have opened all prior periods and I continue to receive a posting date deviates from permissable range error message.  The dates do fall within the posting date.  I am able to change the date within SBO to prior posting period manually, any reason I can not bring them in through the DTW?

    1. The posting period is defined correctly, also please make sure that the posting
date, due date and document date used in the document should be according to the current posting
    period.
    2. Also please check under administration --> System Initialisation --> Document Setting -->
Please make sure that the option : Block documents with earlier Posting Date is not checked.
On point #1, you say "should be according to the current posting period.", but in this case I am looking to import these to a period that is unlocked, for example is 10/10/2007.  All of my dates fall within the ranges listed below.  My current period that I am attempting to post to for example is set up as follows:
Period Code     Period Name    Period Status    Posting Date From-To       Due Date From-To
    2007                2007                Unlocked          01/01/07    12/31/07         01/01/07    12/31/07
I confirmed point #2 as well.

  • Importing UDF data through DTW

    Hi Experts,
I am using SAP Business One 2007B PL00. I have created 2 UDF's on row level in marketing documents. These fields i have defined to track the legacy PO/SO number and the other UDF to track the date in yyyymm format which is present in legacy and is required by the client. I have added these UDF's in my DTW template through the Interface provided in DTW. When i do the simulation run there are no errors in DTW. But when i actually import in my database then both the above UDF's are not imported. The rest of the fields are imported without any error. The DTW does not give any error log. Any solution?
    Thanks in advance.

Could you check the MAP RULES tab in Step 3 of DTW and check if the fields are mapped properly.
Also, go to the Target Data tab and check

  • Importing Contact Persons through DTW

    Hi,
I´am trying to import Contact Persons through DTW. These "Contact Persons" belong to Business Partners that already have "Contact Persons". I want to add new contact persons to these Business Partners. The problem that instead of adding those Contact Persons, the DTW is updating  the Contact Persons that already exists.
I have two files, Business Partners and Contact Employees. In this first one I´m using two fields (Recordkey and Cardcode). In the second one, Contact Employees, i´m leaving blank the field "linenum". I´m also setting in the third step of the DTW process, the option of "Add all items into Schema if can´t find corresponding item when updating". In the 5 step I choose Update objects"
    Thanks in advanced

    Aridane,
Apologies ... I misunderstood what you were asking.  If you look at the sample temple for Contacts that are related to Business Partners at ...
    ..\Program Files\SAP\Data Transfer Workbench\Templates\Data preparation examples\20. TestCase2_Test Data for Update function\oBusinessPartners\ContactEmployees.csv
Here you can see that you have to relate the RecordKey of the ContactEmployee to the RecordKey for the Business Partner. If there are multiple contacts for the same Business Partner, the RecordKey is repeated as in the example and you increment the LineNum for each different Contact.

  • Importing Sales Orders through DTW

    Hi,
I´m trying to imports Orders through DTW, I wonder if it is possible to  define de the Base Document, in this case the Sales Quotations
    Thanks in Advanced

    Aridane,
The DTW uses the Documents object, as well as Document Lines, etc., and the properties exposed in this object.  If the "Base Document" property is exposed per the Documents object in the SDK Help Center, then yes you should be able to import it.  The property of BaseEntry is exposed via the Document_Lines object.  This is equivalent to the the BaseEntry in the DTW template Document_Lines.csv.

  • How to Import  Excisable Item Details -  through Item DTW ?

    Hi All,
Throught Item DTW, How can import  the Excise related information in Item Master like - excisable item check, Chapter ID,Accesable value etc ?
    Rgds
    Swapnil

    Hi ,
i have one more solution to Import Excisable Item through DTW.
First Update Excisable field 'Y'  (SQL  Query ) then Create user define fields for excisable and then  import data by DTW  to these UDF's.
after that from SQL Query you can updates all excisable fields by  these UDF's.

  • I have tried loading 3 different cds that I just bought into Itunes and I click the import cd button and it goes through the motions of importing the cds, but when I go to my library none of these cds is there.  Help, please!

I have tried loading 3 different cds that I recently purchased into Itunes.  I click the import cd button and Itunes goes through the motion of copying and importing the cds, but the songs are not in my music library.  I have searched everywhere to find where these cds might be, but to no avail.  Could really use some help here.  Never used to have this problem.

Are they in the relevant artist & album folders when you look via Windows Explorer. If so something may have gone wrong with the index of the Music playlist. Download the current iTunes Free Single of the Week. I know it sounds odd, but it should fix the problem.
If that doesn't work close iTunes and delete the hidden file sentinel from inside the main iTunes folder, then start iTunes again. It should run a consistency check when it starts up.

  • Importing of WithholdingTaxcodes through DTW

    Hi All,
i have uploaded oWithholdingTaxcodes. But i got error  like this "The field is too small to accept the data".
    my template details
    RecordKey   WTcode    Account   WTName
       1              WTC01     143033       WTN01
       2              WTC02     143033       WTN02
Please explain how to do this?

    Dear,
Just an additional information for your reference about this error:
    1. Enter the correct values in the columns Recordkey.
    2. Leave the column LineNum empty ion case you are importing new    documents.
    2. Use the date format "yyyymmdd" as described in attached Note 886339.
    3. Do not delete any columns from the original templates delivered    with the DTW installation as this might lead to errors in the import.

  • I run Final Cut Express 4.0.1; I shoot with a Sony HDR-CX260V. How do I import from the camera directly to Final Cut, without having to go through the intermediate step of using iMovie?

    I use Final Cut Express 4.0.1; I shoot with a Sony HDR-CX260V.
How do I import from camera to Final Cut without going through the intermediate step of using iMovie?

If you shoot in one of the following modes you should be able to Log & Transfer directly into FCE:
HD:  1920x1080/60i (FX or FH mode)
HD:  1440x1080/60i (HQ or LP mode)
    SD:  720x480/60i
1080/60p (PS mode) seems to be the default mode in your camcorder.  FCE only supports progressive video in 720p50 or 720p60.   That's probably why you have had to import via iMovie.
It would be better to upgrade to Final Cut Pro X, the version currently supported.  FCE was discontinued over 18 months ago and is not supported on Lion or Mountain Lion.

  • How do I import an existing finalised imovie into a new project either in part or full. The movie I want to import is filed under "movies" but greyed out when I go through the procedure in imovie 11

How do I import an existing finalised movie clip into  a new developing project ? I go through the imovie 11 procedure for importing and the list of clips (finalised and un-finalised) appears, but always "greyed out" which makes it impossible to create anything. I have tried placing it on the desk top and dragging but this doesn't work either.

AppleMan  Thanks very much for the information, however I could't make it work. I followed your instructions to the letter, in fact I tried every which-way. I created a dedicated file into which I copied and pasted the project from "package contents"  but it was still greyed out when I went to retrieve it. I also found that the file size was reduced to only a few Kb.  Any further step-by-step instructions would be appreciated as I am obviously doing something wrong.  Babowa  It appears that in imovie everything has to be "finalised" before it can be used or shared elsewhere in the same way as a disk has to be to be played elsewhere. Funnily enough an MOV file I converted to Mp4 was not greyed out and I was able to import it.... an exercise I am not keen on because of resolution loss during conversion

  • I wonder how pro photographers use aperture?I shoot raw and my harddrive is alreay full.I'm not able to import new pictures. Is it ok if i create a vault and delete all my projects in the HD.Can I use an external HD use aperture through the vault??

I wonder how pro photographers use aperture?I shoot raw and my harddrive is alreay full.I'm not able to import new pictures. I don't know what to do. I created a vault. My plan was to create a vault(put all my master files into an external harddrive) and then delete all my projects in my mac pro's harddrive. Is it the correct way to do it ? What should I do if I have thousands of raw files ? How should my workflow be? Can I use an external HD and use aperture through the vault, without keeping the master files on my computer's hard drive?? Or should I shoot raw+jpeg and store raw files in an external backup harddrive and import only jpegs into my aperture library?

There's a bit to learn.  It will slowly make sense.
Aperture is an empty field.  You're given a tractor and a whole bunch of attachments. What you grow, how, and where, is entirely up to you.
Vaults are for back-up and only for back-up.  They have nothing to do with storing your working files.
When your Library outgrows your system drive (and for good performance, you should leave c. 20% of every drive empty), it's time to convert some of your image's Masters from Managed to Referenced.  ("Managed" and "Referenced" refer to Masters, not to Libraries.)
There are hundreds of posts in the forum, and several pages in the User Manual on using Masters.
Many people run Aperture with the Library on their system disk, and most (or all) of their images' Masters on external FW drives.  This is a good set-up.  Note that you will likely have to take steps to back-up the data on your external drives.
If you do the above, there should be no reason to delete any Projects.
The choice of RAW or RAW+JPEG or JPEG depends on the kind of work you are doing.  I capture RAW only -- but I don't do any commercial shoots.  Pros on deadlines report that the RAW+JPEG works well for them.  Capture JPEG if it saves you time.  IMHO, there is not a good reason to shoot JPEG to save space (space is cheap; time expensive).
Short-term solution: buy and use a FW800 external 1 TB drive, formatted "Mac OS Extended (Journaled)", and using Aperture relocate the Masters of all images older than 30 days to that drive.  (Be sure to change your back-up strategy to include this new drive; you may need a second new drive.)
This general post of mine might help you understand more about Aperture.
