Import Server Configuration?

Hi,
I haven't tried working with Import Server yet...
I have installed Import Server and using MSSQL Server...
Could someone explain me how can I configure Import server to import xml files automatically from a FTP file path?
I need to create any folders?
create ports in console?
Please help me...
Thanks,
Pooja

  • Export/Import Server Configuration

    Hi,
I have multiple physical servers to configure that will have
the same MX 7 configuration settings. Is there a way to export and
then import these settings so I don't have manually complete each
one? For example, I'm looking to replicate datasources,
collections, scheduled tasks, cfx tags, client vars etc. Please
    advise. Thanks!

You can either use the ear/war export & import utilities
    of the CF
administrator or you can manually copy/merge the appropriate
neo_xxxx.xml files from one system to another.

  • Configuration of the Import Manager in order to use the Import Server

    Hi all,
Firstly thanks a lot for all. The question is: I need to set all the properties neccesary to use the Import Server, so would be very positive to know how to set all the default import action in the import manager. when I try to make that all default import action under the Records Option in the main menu are disable.
Can someone help me with that?.
Thanks in Advance and Best Regards.

    Hi Devashish Bharti
All that you have told is configured, instead of this configuration, the default import action: none/none;single/exact is disable in the "Records" main menu. Do you know what happen?
    Best Regards.

  • Steps to configure Import Server and Syndication server

    Hi,
Can some one help me to work on Import Server and Syndication server. I know there are few forums availabe on this topic but they are not very basic. I need to know the basic step(From installation to automatic transfer of data.) to work on Import <b>Serve</b>r and Syndication <b>Server</b>.

    Hi Ron,
The MDM Import Server is a background process (service), which separates the core processing of master data imports from the front-end processing. MDM Import Server allows you to load master data records periodically from various
client systems to various MDM Servers and repositories based on the port concept.
Once the data is delivered by SAP XI on a specific port, it will automatically get picked within a configurable time interval and queued up for import processing.
MDM Import Server creates log files of the entire load process, which are stored
in the port folder Log and can be displayed in MDM Console.
If an error occurs in the automated import, the MDM Import Server stops and
drops the XML in the Exception folder of the port. You can import the XML
interactively using the MDM Import Manager and correct the error (for example
    complete the import map).
    Hope this might help....
    thanks

But i can ping to the server and tr is also working .

any preconditions have to be done for importing a configuration file ?

    You can try the following:
    1. try the fully qualified domain name of the DTR server host in NWDS Preferences->Development Configuration.
    2. Are your WAS and JDI are on a higher SP level. That may cause the problem

  • Strange Errors from Import Server on Schema-based maps for repeating nodes

I have already posted one thread about this, but perhaps some more in-depth information is required:
We have uploaded our schema into the console, and have mapped the following multi-node file to it:
    CUSTOMER <repeating node>
      MDM_CUST (new Customer number returned)
CUSTOMER(mapped back from XI for RECORD MATCHING)
      CREATE_DATE (text field)
      CONTACT<repeating node>
        CONTACT_NO (RECORD MATCHING : NON-QUALIFIER)
        CONTACT_SAP_NO (QUALIFIER)
[NOTE: There are other qualifers for CONTACT, but only this one
qualifier is being returned and is the only field that would and should be updated.
The other fields should be left alone. However, it appears to overwrite EVERYthing
with NULL other than these two fields. The CONTACT_NO is the sole qualifer on
the table. It is a calculated field that equals the Auto-ID that is also produced on
the table - but obviously not mapped.]
      PARTNER<repeating node>
        CUSTOMER_NO (RECORD MATCHING : NON-QUALIFER)
PARTNER_FUNC (NON-QUALIFIER - Code given to lookup from PARTNER_FUNCTION table which has Code and Desc)
        PARTNER_NO     (NON-QUALIFIER)
        DEFAULT_PARTNER_FLAG (QUALIFIER)
    <CLOSE CUSTOMER NODE>
In the Customer main table, all records are matched on CUSTOMER. The CONTACT_NO non-qualifer is matched to the CONTACT qualified lookup table directly since it is the only available non-qualifier. For the PARTNER table, the three qualifiers are mapped and then a compound field is created to map to the PARTNER table entry.
We have the Configurations set at:
    Default Multi-Valued Update: Replace
    Default Qualified Update: Replace
    Default Matching Qualifiers: None
Our record matching is: Create / Update(ALL MAPPED FIELDS) / Update(ALL MAPPED FIELDS)
When the map is reused, the repeating nodes are all recognized, be it one node or many. However, when the map is reused, it does not automatically map the values for many of the Partner fields (nor the compound field) though the fields are correctly mapped.
Also, when we attempt to use Import Server to automate the mapping, we use the mdis.ini set to
    Automap Unmapped Value=True
    Unmapped Value Handling=Add
    Always Use Unmapped Value Handling=False
We get a very strange error saying that :
[code]Encountered a pre-SP4 map. The map needs to be upgraded to SP4.
Solution: Please, Launch the Import Manager GUI using the same source file and simply save the map.[code]
Could it be that our MDM 5.5 SP4 is not compatible with schemas generated with XI v.7 SP9?
All of our MDM is 5.5 SP4. It makes no sense that we would get THIS kind of error. Also, I am questioning our combination of these and other configurations since it doesn't always seem to do what it should

    Hi Donald,
this sounds good so far. Just a short hint: you've set "Default Qualified Update: Replace". This explains why Import server "appears to overwrite EVERYthing
with NULL other than these two fields.". The reason is the replace. A replace means that the old values are completely deleted and only the new incoming ones are stored. I'd suggest to use any of the Update possibilities.
Note: the definitions you set in in the record matching step are mainly for the new records in the main table! Records in qualified look ups are handled differently! If you open your map in Import Manager, switch to tab "Map Fields/Values". Select a field that is your non qualifier. Right-Click on it and choose "Set qualified update" from the context menu. Now you can define which qualifiers can be used for the qualified look up matching. And you can define as well what should happen with new and/or existing records.
Regarding the value mapping: do you use keymapping? Or do you use simple values only? Do you save the map everytime you add a new value mapping?
Regarding the issue "Encountered a pre-SP4 map. The map needs to be upgraded to SP4. Solution: Please, Launch the Import Manager GUI using the same source file and simply save the map". This sounds very likely like a bug in MDIS and should be reported to SAP!
    Hope that helps

  • OIM 11g Server Configuration Wizard Error - Cannot Connect to Oracle DB

I appreciate any and all suggestions or thoughts on how to best continue troubleshooting this error that I am describing below.
I am attempting to install Oracle Identity and Access Management Suite 11g on a Windows 7 machine…in following the installation guides I have successfully installed the following Oracle Components
    - Oracle Database 11.2.0.1.0
    - Created Schemas using RCU 11.1.1.3.3
    - Oracle WebLogic Server 10.3.3.0
    - Oracle SOA 11.1.1.2.0
    - Oracle SOA 11.1.1.3.0 (Patch Set)
    - Oracle IAM SUITE 11.1.1.3.0
Following the above installations, I created a new WebLogic Domain and as the next step am running the OIM Configuration Wizard to configure the OIM Server, however I am unable to setup a connection to the Oracle DB via the OIM Configuration Wizard. I am getting an error message when attempting to setup the connection to the Oracle Database using the OIM 11g Server Configuration Wizard:
    ERROR:*
INST:6102 Unable to connect to the database with the given credentials.
*+[DETAILS] Check the values. Make sure the Database is up and running and connect string, user name, and password are correct.+*
INST:6102 Unable to connect to the database with the given credentials.
*+[DETAILS] Check the values. Make sure the Database is up and running and connect string, user name, and password are correct.+*
When installing the Oracle Database 11gR2 I used the following install configuration:
    Oracle base: C:\MyApps\Oracle
    Software location: C:\MyApps\Oracle\DB_HOME\11.2.0\dbhome_1
    Database file location: C:\MyApps\Oracle\DB_HOME\oradata
Database Edition: Personal Edition (3.27 GB)
    Character Set: Unicode (AL32UTF8)
    Global database name: orcl.dev.com
    Administrative Password: Password1
    Confirm Password: Password1
When creating my Schemas using RCU 11.1.1.3.3 I used the following Database Connection Details
    DB TYPE: Oracle Database
    HOST NAME: localhost
    PORT: 1521
    SERVICE NAME: orcl.dev.com
    USERNAME: sys
    PASSWORD: Password1
    ROLE: SYSDBA
I used a Prefix of “DEV” when creating the schemas so Schema Owners DEV_OIM and DEV_MDS where created. Also, I configured to use the same password for all Schemas: “Password1″. So the password for DEV_OIM and DEV_MDS should be the same, “Password1″.
    REPRODUCING THE ERROR
To reproduce the error, when I launch the Oracle Identity Management 11g Configuration Wizard I am first brought to the “Welcome” Screen. I click the [Next>] button.
Next, I am on the “Components to Configure” screen where I select OIM Server and OIM Design Console and click the [Next>] button. (NOTE I have also tested by simply selecting only the OIM Server)
Next, I am on the “Database” screen where I enter the connection information
    Connection String: localhost:1521:orcl.dev.com
(NOTE I have also tested using localhost:1521:orcl)
    OIM Schema User Name: DEV_OIM
    OIM Schema Password: Password1
    MDS Schema User Name: DEV_MDS
    MDS Schema Password: Password1
When I click the [Next>] button after entering the Database Connection details I encounter the following two errors (1 error for each logon DEV_OIM and DEV_MDS)
INST:6102 Unable to connect to the database with the given credentials.
INST:6102 Unable to connect to the database with the given credentials.
    TROUBLESHOOTING

    The command completed successfully

Whenever installing oracle databases, i install the software only first. Then i setup the listener. Then i create a database instance using the dbca tool. This way all the information is added to the pre-existing listener configurations rather than trying to create the listener afterwards. Also, during the dbca database creation, i supply a full service name such as orcl.hostname and use the service name in future configurations where it asked. This usually solves any issues of the listener or database not being found correctly.

  • Value Exception in Import server

    Hi Experts,
My requirement is i have 100 files in the ready folder while processing first file through import server, it got value exception which i fixed manually through import manager port option and saved map as update. But even after the files which are having records with same values also moving to Value exception. Can you please me help me out to fix it.
    Thanks
    Narendra

    Hi Mullapudi Narendra,
Value exception only come when any new value occurs in you lookup table so avoid this in importmanager configuration setting require to set MDIS parameter
in MDIS Add / Map / fail and ignore detail as follows
Add : value at destination side doesn't exist then this value get added to your lookup table as well as update this value at record. add new value at lookup subtable and update record at main table
Map : value will only map which are exist at destination side. update records at main table
Fail : if any new value occurs which is not exist at destination will not allowed to import this record as well as lookup field value.
entire record will get fail and doesnot import lookup subtable and maintable
Ignore : if any new value occurs which is not exist at destination will ignore this value and remaining data will get import except lookup field which contain new value .only value will ingore at lookup subtable and maintable for respective field, other field data of file will import
    Thanks,

  • NWDI for the 04s preview fails with 'SLD name-server configuration error'

After the installation, everything seems to work fine except that when I go to CMS, the links on the top seems to be hardcoded to point to http://pwdf3102:50100/dtr, even in the Domain Data. When I tried to change it to my local server, it keeps complaining about "Unexpected error; inform your system administrator: <Localization failed: ResourceBundle='com.sap.cms.util.exception.CMSExceptionMessages', ID='SLD name-server configuration error', Arguments: []> : Can't find resource for bundle java.util.PropertyResourceBundle, key SLD name-server configuration error"
Any suggestions on how to work around this? Thanks.

    Brian,
Try to import the model file first by going to SLD->Administration->Import CIM Model. If the problem sticks, then try to remove the systems. The preview version has lots of pre-exist system name in the technical system, which you can find giving errors since they're not reachable. So you can remove them from SLD (Home->Technical Systems) if they are preventing you from procceeding.
You need to go to http://server:port/dtr/system-tools/administration/NameServerConfiguration to update the name server as well.
    Hope this helps...

  • Map including spliting operation dosen't work in MDM Import Server

    Hi All,
I met a problem with MDM Import Server when using a map file with spliting operation in it, although I can use it in MDM import manager to load data successfully. The error in log file is like this:
    Record Matching...
    Importing Lookup...
One or more attribute values are invalid.
One or more attribute values are invalid.
One or more attribute values are invalid.
One or more attribute values are invalid.
    Import Failed!
The spliting in my map is: I split field "Category" into category1 and category2 with space " ". e.g. value "Trousers M" is splitted into "Trousers" and "M"  . Then I map category1 to category and category2 to size.
I tried to delete this spliting and just map "Category" to "Category" then it works well for Import Server.
Is it the bug of MDM import server? can anyone give me a explaination?
    Thanks! Bin

Under Configuration Options of the Import Manager,
    check the values for
    <b>Default Batch Handling</b>
    AutoMap Unmapped Values = Yes
    Unmapped value Handling = Add/Ignore/Fail.
Set the values according to your needs.
Make sure that the data source is updatable as well.

  • Import Server issues with SP4 maps

While using the Import Server, I have a newly created map using Import Mgr 5.5 SP4. (I used a schema created by XI v.7 SP9). When it runs, it throw and exception with the following error message:

The input record is outlined below. I have set the CONFIGURATIONS to "Replace/Replace/None" and "Automap values in batch" and in the map they are set to "Create/Update (ALL MAPPED)/Update (ALL MAPPED)".

    For all watching this thread:
We were running MDM 5.5 SP4. We applied Patch 2 (not patch 3) to our 32-bit system and we no longer get this error. We now get an error that the "Source File does not conform to the XML Schema", an entirely new issue. I will open a new question regarding that.

  • Importing ATO Configurations

    Hi,
We are trying to import ATO configurations on a sales order. Our model structure is like we have a top ATO model (called PATO) with two child ATO models and additional components. The child ATO models are defined with WIP supply type as 'Phantom' in the top ATO model. We can see the entire BOM structure in the intended BOM. We populate the columns top_model_line_ref+ and link_to_line_ref+ in the Order Import interface tables like mentioned in Oracle whitepapers and metalink notes. On import, the order is imported, however the link between the top model and the child lines is broken. We can see the entire configuration on the order form, however not on the configurator HTML page. There we see only the top model. The child ATO models are not included in the final configuration. The column 'link_to_line_id' is also NULL. The Order Import log files gives the error message +"The given node was not found within the model"+. From the log file we made out that this message is coming from the CZ Batch Validation API. It appears that somehow the CZ Batch Validation API is not able to resolve the child/components as under the top model and thus fails. The configuration for the Child ATO models is generated using the CIO java API using a model string. We get the individual configuration of the child ATO models and put them under the top parent ATO model (PATO) and then trying to import the sales order. We are not sure if we are missing anything here. Do we need to populate any other interface tables (like some CZ tables) to support this Order Import. Has someone tried this? Please advise if this is even feasible or not. Any workarounds/alternative solutions?

    Thx,

    Hi Jason,
I appreciate your inputs on this. It looks like the Order Import is not designed to import configuration of a published model structure (based on our testing). Yes we are able to open the runtime configurator page from Order Management and able to configure the complete nested model structure. We tried to use the batch validation API in an adhoc manner (using pl/sql) and did two tests:
    1. Test#1, with the non OCD published nested BOM model structure. We dint pass any config_hdr_id or config_rev_nbr in the initialization message. We did pass the configuration details (component_code, qty, input_seq) in the config_input_list. This created a new configuration and validated it as seen the termination message.

    2. Test#2, with the OCD published nested BOM model structure. We dint pass any config_hdr_id or config_rev_nbr in the initialization message. We did pass the configuration details (component_code, qty, input_seq) in the config_input_list (like test#1). This created a new configuration and validated it as seen the termination message. But failed. The termination message as seen below:

Again we have not written any CX's to be executed during the batch validation like you mentioned (postConfigNew event). The batch validation seems to be working fine for non published BOM models, but not for published BOM model structures.
Can you please elaborate or email me the details about the point#2 of launching the configurator during the batch validation. I will go through the impl.guide meanwhile.
    Thanks,
    Nitin jain
