Either the contacts were not actually stored on the SIM, the SIM memory is defective, or they are in a format not useable by the iPhone.
Go to one of your carrier's stores. Most carriers have equipment that can do this, see if they can extract them for you.

IOS 6.1 Import SIM contacts not working

Hi I just update my iphone 4s to iOS 6.1. Now I want to import new SIM card with some contacts. When I do "Import SIM Contacts", then it just blink an importing alert and gone. And nothing happen. No contacts in phone contacts.
Why?

Try resetting your phone:
Press the Sleep/Wake button & Home button at the same time, keep pressing until you see the Apple logo, then release.
Try now...if it still doesn't work, go to one of your carrier's stores & they'll be able to do this for you.

Time Machine Backup Error. Time machine could not delete the backup disk image .sparsebundle

Time Machine is giving an error message. Time Machine couldnt complete the backup. I am using the Seagate GoFlex Home. Error message states Time Machine could not delete the backup disk image "/volumes/Go Flex Home Backup/iMAc.sparsebundle". Does anybody have any ideas?

I have deleted all files in the Time Machine backup via Windows, Finder, and GoFlex UI.
I think this is your problem.. you need to follow the exact setup from seagate to get TM running again.. please read the manual... I do not have one but I do have another brand of NAS and setting up TM involves a fairly complex set of instructions.. because it is not a native Apple device.. your computer does not recognise it as TM capable.. you need to use the work around the manual will explain.

EOIO - Could not fail message - Predecessor not in final state

I'm using the File Adapter to send messages EOIO and have now a lot of messages stuck with status "HOLDING". When trying to delete the first message with status holding (according to sequential number in the message monitor log) I get the error:
com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.impl.app.AdminException: Failed to cancel the message locally.
Reason: Could not fail message cb79d5b0-0844-11dc-92ac-0003ba15f2ae(OUTBOUND), as triggered by admin action.
Reason: Predecessor not in final state.
I also cannot not find any message with error in it that could hold up the queue.
I know this question has been up in the forum before, but I can simply not find the
"<i>Predecessor not in final state</i>".
Is there any other way to find the failing message?

The problem is however that I can't find the failing message even after following the instructions of the blog by Stefan. The messages before the first HOLDING are all SUCCESS messages.
I did delete the queues before, which I think was a mistake, maybe thats causing the "HOLDING" statuses?
Otherwise I guess the suggestions of the blog would be the only way to solve the problem?

DB Polling : could not dispatch message because there is no active transaction.

We are using SOA 11.1.1.7 . In one of our SOA composite, we are seeing following error during the instantiation at the DB polling activity (randomly)

an unhandled exception has been thrown in the Collaxa Cube systemr; exception reported is: "ORABPEL-05007
could not dispatch message because there is no active transaction. there is no active transaction while scheduling a message with the dispatcher. this usually happens if the underlying subsystem rollback back the transaction without bubbling up the system or transaction exception to the bpel layer. Contact Oracle Support Services. Provide the error message and the exception trace in the log files (with logging level set to debug mode).
We do have few more polling SOA composite, but this error is more often seen in one of the process regularly. The workaround to fix the above problem is to restart the SOA composite. Let us know, if you any thoughts on this error.

ColdFusion could not delete the file [file path] fo

Using the <cffile> tag I write a file to the server and
display the outputed file in my browser. I then try to delete the
file. I get the error message ColdFusion could not delete the file
[file path] for an unknown reason. If I wait 60 seconds I can
successfully delete the file. Using the freeware prodram Unlocker I
know that it is a jrun.exe process that is preventing the deletion
of the file for the 1 minute after the file has been created.
Is there a known workaround or fix for this issue?

Are you using CFlock when you write or create the file? If so
that will prevent the file from being deleted until the lock is
released.

Error: "The workflow could not delete the list item"

Have set up 2 lists: Events and EventsArchive. They have all the same fields. I have created a workflow in SPD using an impersonation step (I have Full control of the site/site collection). Workflow is essentially this:
    If Curent Item:Expired
equals
Yes
       Copy item in Current Item to
EventsArchive
       then Delete item in
Current Item.
The item is copying over to the EventsArchive list just fine, but the "delete" part is not happening. Instead, I get the following error:
The workflow could not delete the list item. Make sure the list exists and the user has permissions to delete items in the list.
The list obviously exists (or I wouldn't be able to copy an item from it), and I have as much permissions as anyone can have, so I'm not sure where else to turn with this.

To test the issue, I create a simple workflow without using Impersonation step:
It works.
Could you please create new lists to avoid custom settings and test the issue again?

"Time Machine could not delete the backup disk"

This morning, I got the "Time Machine must create a new backup for you" message referred to here: http://pondini.org/TM/C13.html
I went ahead and told it "start new backup" but after a few minutes, got this message, ending in error message -1: "Time Machine could not delete the backup disk." It did not reference a sparsebundle file or some other specific file name as I've seen in some other threads, and I haven't been able to find this exact issue anywhere in the forum or on Pondini's page.
I went ahead and told it manually to do a new backup, but I am concerned that it will "lie to me" about the verifiability of the files per Pondini's page above (orange box at the bottom). I'll attempt to force it to manually verify once this backup completes to see what happens, I guess.
I'd appreciate any input.

And now an effort to manually start a backup produces this error: "This backup is too large for the backup disk. The backup requires 233.73 GB but only 188.30 GB are available."

Could not delete service error

When I start iTunes, it brings up a first message, saying 'The software required for communicating with iPods and mobile phones was not installed correctly. Do you want iTunes to try to repair this for you?', with the options 'Yes' or 'No', I choose Yes as I need to use my iPod Touch and a second message, saying 'Could not delete service'. This issue is only since updating to iTunes 10.5.1 (specifically 10.5.1.42). I use an addon called TuneUp (www.tuneupmedia.com).

Same here with many past versions and the most recent one.
I always have to uninstall everything completely, restart and then install iTunes from scratch.

Do you have any earlier version of the Nokia Suite installed ? If so, un-install that and then try re-installing the New verion.
You may also try the latest Beta version from HERE ...To download the installer, you need to log-in using the SAME credentials that you use on this Forum.

Are you sync'ing the new device to the same username in Palm Desktop as an older device?
If you are, this will cause problems on the new device. When you sync the device, it saves the device settings, 3rd party apps, preferences, etc. in the backup folder in the username folder on the PC. When you sync the new device it copies the contents of the backup folder for the old device to the new device. This will cause corruption in the settings for the new device thus causing erratic behavior of the new device.
Looks like you may need to hard reset your device and rename your backup folder. Go to http://www.palm.com/cgi-bin/cso_kbURL.cgi?ID=887 and follow the directions to do a hard reset. Next before you hotsync your data back over you will need to rename your backup folder, to do that go here;

C:\program files\palm or palm one\[hotsync username]\ and rename your backup
folder to backup.old
Vista
Start-->documents\Palm OS Desktop\[hotsync username]\ and rename your backup
folder to backup.old
Then hotsync to your current hotsync name and all your contacts, calendar,
tasks, and memos will come back over.
