Import Tab grayed out in Aperture 3.1

Hi folks, need some help:
When I try to import a .jpg from SDHC or HDD into an existing project in my library, the import tab will gray out and is no more selectable. It is no more possible to switch to the library or to chose another button in the toolbar. I need to close the application and open again to work with.
Steps to Reproduce:
Import photos from SDHC-Card with integrated Card Reader or from HDD in a already existing Project, add some metadata-settings during import. Repeat the step several times and always import in a existing project and the the import-tab will gray out. So it is no more possible to move over the library.
I have tried:
- Repair permissions
- Aperture 3: Basic Troubleshooting
I am using:
- Mac OS X 10.6.4, current updates
- Aperture 3.1 clean install
- Latest Pro-Kit-Updates
Are there other people having the same GUI-bug like I do? Or is there maybe a solution? I am looking forward to your answers.

@spikeyjonze: A new local user account has no impact on this issue, it is still present. This steps also belongs to the Aperture 3: Basic Troubleshooting
@Adrian Wackernah: I also have the same issues, but this issue ain't so big for me. My current issue with a grayed out import tab seems to be much worse. But thanks a lot for your answer.
@Gary: I also work with shortcut cmd-i to enter or leave the import-window. But I have never tried with <esc>-key to leave to import-window, if the import tab grays out. I will give it a try when I reproduce the bug again.
I also have opened a case at Apple Care Pro Apps Support Europe. I have send them the System Profiler and a screen-recording of the issue. So I need to wait until Apple has done their troubleshooting and analysis.

Aperture Import destination grayed out when importing from iPad

I'm trying to import a bunch of photos from my iPad. I want to dump them all in one project in Aperture, but after selecting the iPad from the import source list, it grays out the options to select the destination. It also grays out the option to uncheck the Autosplit events. I do not want to do this import and then have to go back and merge 20 projects. Any ideas?

Why is the lyrics tab grayed out?

I have a Taylor Swift song I was going to add some lyrics to, but the tab is grayed out. Anyone know why? This song was imported from a CD.

Yes, I tried it again by seeing the song in the main library as opposed to seeing it in a playlist. Again, the lyrics tab was grayed out. I was able to see the tab, however, when I did a "get info" for one of her music videos I have.

What is the Compatibility Tab grayed out for applications on some network shares, but not others?

I have a network share with an executable file located in it. If I browse to the share by UNC path from a Windows 7 pro workstation and go to the compatibility tab of the .exe, the options are grayed out.
I have another network share with an executable file located on it. This share and workstation are at a different location, unrelated to the first example. If I browse to the share by UNC path from a Windows 7 pro Workstation and go to the compatibility
tab of the .exe file, the options are not grayed out, and I can check or uncheck what ever I need to.
Both shares are located on a Server 2008 R2 system w/sp1. Both workstations are joined to the same domain as the server they are connecting to the UNC path on. Both shares have given the user connecting full access on the smb sharing and ntfs sharing.
Someone please tell me how to make the compatibility tab not grayed out. Here is a screen shot of the comapatibility tab of the .exe file from both shares:

Troubleshoot compatibility to set the application to Compatibility Mode.
You can right-click the application’s shortcut and click Troubleshoot compatibility.

Thanks, but I read that link before I posted this. Even by running the compatibility wizard, you still can't edit the compatibility settings on Windows 7.

Properties tab "grayed out" in Acrobat 9 Pro

I built a form using Live Cycle in 9 Pro for Windows. I want to have the form open as a "two up", so I assumed I should change this in the Properties menu. When I go to the Initial View tab, it is grayed out, and won't let me change anything. How do I get this tab to allow me to change it? Help!

Form created with LiveCycle Designer are XML forms in a PDF wrapper and many of the usual PDF properties are not available. This is like embedded rich media in a PDF. If you want to research this, Adobe and ISO have the PDF Reference manual available as a free download.

Edit Live Page View in New Tab Grayed Out

I've been looking forward to use using Dreamweaver CS5 to edit dynamic sites. One of the things I thought would really save time was being able to navigate to a dynamic page in live view and then edit it, instead of using File/Open, but when I browse to a page, the Edit the Live View Page in a New Tab is Grayed Out. Any help?

According to your description, my understanding is that you needed to check out the document again when open a document which was checked out by yourself and received the error that the document was locked by yourself.
I tested the same scenario per your post, and I got the same results as you got.
I recommend to use the following method to call DispEX (utilizing open document add-on) which is directed to document relative URL instead of using the direct link:

Homesharing Import button grayed out.

I recently bought a MacBook Air and I have an iMac. Both have Homesharing turned on and I can see my iMac's iTunes library on my Air. But the Import button is grayed out and won't let me click on it when I try to import playlists to my Mac Air.
Can anyone help me?

Yes you can. Importing files is the main point of Home Sharing.
Home Sharing allows copying files between all connected computers.
I think that's a safety feature to keep the shared library from becoming corrupted if files are added by a comp that's later disconnected, and then the files can't be accessed, because it's no longer on the network.
If the computer is no longer on the network, that computer's shared library will not show up
Once the files are imported, they no longer need to be accessed on the original computer.

"Faces" grayed out in Aperture 3 menu bar and it is not under "Library"

Just received my upgrade to Aperture 3. Under Library there is just Projects; Photos; Places; Flagged; Trash - there is no Faces. In the menu bar, the Faces is grayed out. What is the problem?

Check in Preferences>General>Enable Faces that the checkbox is ticked. Otherwise Faces detection is off on the options are greyed out.

Unable to sync Applications-tab grayed out

I downloaded a number of Apps from the App Store early this afternoon using iTunes and couldn't get them to sync with my new 3G iPhone. All the choices on the "Applications" tab are grayed out (although I can see the list of apps I downloaded in the window. They're just grayed out and unchecked). I restarted my iPhone and restored from backup and then they loaded. However, just downloaded 10-12 more Apps and the exact same thing is happening. Can anyone help me out? I don't want to have to reset/restart every time I want to load an app. Thanks...

I had enabled restrictions on an iPhone the kids use. I MAY have enabled the restriction that prevents application installation -- thinking it would limit use of the AppStore purchase on the phone.
I removed restrictions and I was able to sync. I'm not sure this is so much a bug as a usability issue.

Message Mapping .. Some Icons under Design Tab grayed out

Even in Edit Mode these Icons are grayed out. How Can I fix this problem?. Someone in another thread suggested Java Webstart version 1.4.2_06 thru 1.4.2_09 fixes this problem. I downloaded 1.4.2_09 and installed but didn't help. Anyone has similar problem ?

Go to Control Panel ->chhose Java->choose Java Tab-> under this you will see Java application run time settings ->click on view button and check that
1 .your java run time version is working .
2. more over what are the java version available there and only on eshould be used for this purpose.
Kindly let me know is this problem is only with the components under particular Software component version or it is with whole IR.

IOS 7 Erase data tab grayed out

Hi,
I'm trying to turn off the Erase Data function in iOS 7. The feature is grayed out on both my iPhone and iPad. Sometimes my 3 year old attempts to open a locked iPad or iPhone and I don't want my data erased if he has 10 attempts at it whilst I have my back turned.
How do I disable this?

I've deleted my company email exchange account and downloaded the Microsoft OWA email App from the App Store to pick up company email/calendar. This only works if your company has set up Microsoft 360
Microsoft also have another App 'Office Mobile' which also accesses company share point drives.
I can now switch off erase contents after 10 attempts and have increased security and used a 12 digit iphone passcode - which should be plenty strong enough. This is because I can with iphone 5S finger sensor which allows quick and easy phone access despite having such a strong passcode.
Using a non finger sensor forces you to use a short passcode for frequent ease of access, and data wipe is more logical

FDM Import button grayed out for ONLY 1 period

Hello experts,
I want to import a text file to HFM via FDM. I chose the current POV (period, location,..) and go to the upload tab. What's a suprise, my import button is gray and i can not import my text file. I tried to change to other Period (previous and next period) and my button work well.
Why does problem happen only this period and not others ? have i missed something ? Have you already had this issues ?

Problem solved : there is a mistake in my period description (in "Control tables" section) ==> system does not recognize the period so it doesnt allow the import data.

Imported images gray out...won't drag to timeline???

Have a new intel Duo 2 Core iMac...iMovie6...
just about finished with a short video, trying to add several imported jpeg images at the end. When I click on the image, it highlights blue...thus letting me know it recognizes I've connected with it. As soon as I try and drag it to the timeline, it desaturates to light gray and appears locked. Nothing drags.
I tried highlighting and copying the clips...positioned the cursor on the timeline, figuring I could paste...but "paste" was not emboldened, thus that option is out.
Ideas what is happening here??

Our intel is new as I said, and my experience up to this point has been a couple hard at it months on iMovie 5...
...and I say that to refer to an additional thing that seems weird thus far with iMovie6...
I tried copying a clip and then paste to create an additional clip for the video. Something I was able to do in iMovie5...
The clip highlights, I go to "copy"...and then when I line the playhead, going to "Edit" I do not see "Paste" as an option given to me.
I'm wondering...is this a glitch or something with iMovie 6...???
