Import the AVI or the M2V file?

It's a six-minute piece of video from a newscast given to me as an AVI file and as a M2V MPEG2 file which needs to be imported for a simple DV NTSC timeline 720x480.
What's the best method:
1) Media Manager the AVI?
2) Media Manager the M2V?
3) Streamclip either into DV for FCP?
4) Streamclip the M2V into QT for FCP?
5) Something else?
This is an unarchived video clip from a television station using Parkervision. Anyone familiar with FCP-friendly export formats from Parkervisison?

'Parkervision'...This is a hold-over from linear editing facilities.
This was the frame of video that was viewed in your 'CRT monitor' when you stopped 'videotape' from 'rolling'.
Hiram Beauregard Parker determined it to be the ideal place to 'set' an 'insert' or 'assemble' edit point...(The forementioned 'insert' edit could only be accomplished with a pre-blacked section of videotape)
Thus, in the non-linear world, we now have the term "Park your playhead on the frame of video you wish to view."
This frame of video will now show up in a highly disguised manner on a computer screen, unless you are old-school and continue to use an out-dated CRT monitor.
EDIT - Do not be alarmed...it has absolutely nothing to do with Tarpon, Flip-flops or Maximum Power...

DVD Movie is "lighter" than the M2v File - ?????

I need help . . . . again!
I used the NTSC monitor to color and export the my short film and it looked FINE. Many of the scenes were dimmed (darkened Intentionally) intentionally to create and omnious effect.
I had to take the monitor back but everything seemed fine. I exported the project via Compressor - Best - 90 minute setting.
I watched the M2V on the computer and it looked great, so I imported the M2V into DVD pro and created a very basic DVD.
I burned the DVD pro project to DVD using Toast Titanium 6.
Now here's the twist. When I watched the DVD on TV, the images were significally ligter than in the M2V file and the DVD SP viewer.
I said ok, let me put the DVD into the computer and see if it looks different on the computer LCD and it did not, it was still lighter.
I then did a side by side comparison - with the M2V screen up on the left and the Mac DVD player screen up on the right. I went to the same frame in both and behold, the DVD version is noticable ligher. Things that are concealed by Shadow in the M2V can be seen in the DVD version.
Is it possible that something in the burn process did this. Or could it be that I saved the file a certain way in DVD SP and that did it?
I don't think it's an issue with Compressor, because why didn;t the M2V file look light on the computer.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

It's probably not a problem with Toast or DVD SP. It's the same old display and TV calibration issue that many complain about. Try this with Apple's DVD Player -- switch to an NTSC display profile and see what the DVD looks like then. However, the latter is not a "fix," just an example of how display gamma and calibration can affect results.

Chances are the pinnacle is producing .avi files or MPEFG1/2 streams - iTunes may know how to decode the audio but not the video. Download Handbrake and try running the Pinnacle files through it and adding to iTunes - use Universal format unless you have a specific device in mind.
Keep copies of the originals.
Another option might be to try to install Perian. Can't remember if the Apple MPEG2 plugin allows MPEG2 to be played in iTunes.

I'm doing a practical in exchange server. I have two servers, First one is the domain controller it's a Server 2012 R2 and the Second one is the server planing to install exchange 2010. it has server 2008 R2. My issue is when i'm trying to setup Exchange
Server 2010 it comes error while installing "error while running 'ldifde.exe' to import the schema file" I tried to fix but i couldn't. Please if anyone know about this error give me a solution.

Can you run these commands from an elevated powershell and try to install exchange.
Import-Module ServerManager
Add-WindowsFeature NET-Framework,RSAT-ADDS,Web-Server,Web-Basic-Auth,Web-Windows-Auth,Web-Metabase,Web-Net-Ext,Web-Lgcy-Mgmt-Console,WAS-Process-Model,RSAT-Web-Server,Web-ISAPI-Ext,Web-Digest-Auth,Web-Dyn-Compression,NET-HTTP-Activation,RPC-Over-HTTP-Proxy -Restart
If that also fails please post the error.

I am attempting to install Exchange 2013 on to a 2008R2 Server on a domain running 2008R2 DC's. I have worked every error resolution I can find, but I can't get past this error.
Error:
The following error was generated when "$error.Clear();
install-ExchangeSchema -LdapFileName ($roleInstallPath + "Setup\Data\"+$RoleSchemaPrefix + "schema27.ldf")
" was run: "There was an error while running 'ldifde.exe' to import the schema file 'C:\Windows\Temp\ExchangeSetup\Setup\Data\schema27.ldf'. The error code is: 8224.
Any assistance is appreciated.

Are you running the installation from an ISO-file?
If so, then copy the files (preferably
Exchange 2013 w. SP1) to the local disk
and run the install with elevated privileges.

Usually when you download the file and open it with notepad, the first line is like
SFORMZINVOICE
ie SFORM followed by form name

at the end, you say "import preferences", which program are you describing?
So im safer using footage that is remotely being pulled from iphoto...
vs
using footage that is imported into FCP from imovie?
Is there anything i can do in fcp to make this footage more reliable or safer or more stable as i pull remotely from iphoto?

Usually in the form of video outtakes, movie trailers, cast and crew interviews. Basically, the stuff that gets bunged onto commercial DVDs as extras or ends up on late night TV "Making Of..." shows.
To answer the OP, you want a button on the menu that leads to a still image, or series of them, set up as a slide show. You can copy/paste the text in DVD Studio and then add formatting via the Text menu. (Highlight the text and right click to access formatting controls). Or do it in a graphics application using the appropriate video image preset.

In BOE XI 31 SP2, is there any interface to import the XLIFF file into BO Translator Mgr?
Since the client has 6 kinds of language and 200+ different reports. That means in order to maintain report multi-lingual, the client needs to maintain 1200(6*200) XLIFF files. Because importing all the XLIFF files one by one into BO Translator Manager manually is effective less and cannot meet the needs, the client would like to import the XLIFF files in batch through code.
So is there any Interface or Command Line to import the XLIFF file into BO Translation Mgr?
Any suggestion is appreciated.

i'm having trouble importing the jar file needed to use the jfreereport in bluej.
as much as possible i don't want to type the SET CLASSPATH in the command window. is there a way to include the jfreereport jar file to be used in the bluej?

You're doing privileged operations almost everywhere in this applet so you can't use the straightforward calls. At a minimum you need to put your applet in a jar, sign the jar and use AccessController.doPrivileged() to wrap the code which does the privileged operations, which is basically all of your code. In other words, you would need one to wrap your code in init(), one in start(), one in actionPerformed(), etc.

My boss used Outlook 2010 to store all his emails. Is there any way to import the PST file to Thunderbird so he can access them from a new computer?
Thunderbird cannot be installed on the old computer and Outlook is not on the new computer. All information is saved in a PST file on our local backup.
Alternatively, is there a way to convert to a file type that CAN be imported? This is a 5GB file. (I know, I KNOW, but I cannot convince him he doesn't need all of these emails.)

Does he use an e-mail provider with sufficient mailbox space? In that case, you can move the e-mail back to the server and download it using Thunderbird.
This only works when you configure the e-mail account with IMAP (not POP3).
