Import Truetype with mapbuilder rc1

Hi,
did anyone succeded on importing truetype fonts with mapbuilder rc1 ? I tried, but didn't even get a dialog ! I'm running the following environment
jdk 1.5.0.7
win xp sp2 german
No messages, no exceptions !
Any ideas ?
Best regards,
Holger

No, there aren't any exceptions or messages. I looked nto the jar and found that the node in the navigator called "geometry tables" should have some entries. There is a check wether the datasource name is null. The list of geometry tables is emtpy, nonetheless i have several tables with geometries that are absolutly valid, and show correct as geometry theme. The check concerning the "datasource" is made in all the three non-working menu entries.

  • IPhoto imports photos with wrong dates even if the dates are fine on the camera

    Hi!
When I import photos with iPhoto, sometimes it imports them with wrong dates, even the dates are fine on the camera. It puts dates such as 2032. Does anyone know how can I fix that. As far as I know there is no way to change dates of the photos.
    Thanks!

well that is very confusing since if the date is correct on the camera it will be correct in iPhoto

As far as I know there is no way to change dates of the photos.
Try looking through your iPhto menus - two commands - adjust time and date and batch change time and date - asjust is used to correct incorrect dates like a comera setting -   Batch change for missing dates like with scans

  • Import PO with GR based

    Hello.
We are Going for Import PO.
We are creating the Import PO with Gr based Indicator. now Tax code is Zero.
Customs clearing account is seprate.. from that A/c we will pay the Customs amount.
So while doing the MIRO for Customs.(planned delivery cost from MIRO option), system will generate the Commercial exc Inv No.
So when i go for MIGO with ref to PO. then system will Popup the Commercial Exc Iv no then we will cancel from MIGO screen .
Then system will shown me the Full PO qty's BED ,ECS and SECess and AED... but iam capturing the MIGO partaily.... Excise base value also shwon in USD.....
    Regards
    sapman man

    Hi there,
What i understood from your thread is you want to do the Excise invoice for partially and pay duties to the custom vendor for the partial quantity of goods receipt, for the same you can change the duty and the quantity while doing the MIRO trax. So the same data will flow when you will enter the MIGO screen and mention there the commercial invoice number.
For partial delivery check in your vendor settings, the GR based INV verification should be marked. For multiple currency check your settings in SPRO. The sytem defaults the same from vendor master.
    Hope it helps

  • When importing photos with iBooks Gallery widget, is anyone aware of a technique for simultaneously importing the photo's description (or jpeg file name) and writing it into the iBook Author caption field for the imported photo?

When importing photos with the iBooks Author Gallery widget, is anyone aware of a technique for simultaneously importing the photo's description (or jpeg file name) and writing it into the iBook Author caption field for the corresponding imported photo? I have 4,800 stills to import and can't imagine it's necessary to copy and paste the description for each.

As always, feel free to use the 'Provide iBooks Author Feedback' menu item for features you'd like added in the future, etc.

  • When trying to import photos with iPhoto from photoshop.. won't let me keeps saying that the photos are already in the iPhoto library but they are not... need to fix this

When trying to import photos with iPhoto from photoshop... won't let me keeps saying that the photos are already in the iPhoto library but they are not

If you are using Photoshop from within iPhoto the following may help with the workflow.  However, we do need to know the answers to the questions posed by Terence and Larry to be able to help you.
Using Photoshop or Photoshop Elements as Your Editor of Choice in iPhoto.
1 - select Photoshop or Photoshop Elememts as your editor of choice in iPhoto's General Preference Section's under the "Edit photo:" menu.
2 - double click on the thumbnail in iPhoto to open it in Photoshop.  When you're finished editing click on the Save button. If you immediately get the JPEG Options window make your selection (Baseline standard seems to be the most compatible jpeg format) and click on the OK button. Your done.
3 - however, if you get the navigation window
that indicates that  PS wants to save it as a PS formatted file.  You'll need to either select JPEG from the menu and save (top image) or click on the desktop in the Navigation window (bottom image) and save it to the desktop for importing as a new photo.
This method will let iPhoto know that the photo has been editied and will update the thumbnail file to reflect the edit..
With Photoshop Elements  the Saving File preferences should be configured as shown:
I also suggest the Maximize PSD File Compatabilty be set to Always.  In PSE’s General preference pane set the Color Picker to Apple as shown:
    Screenshots are from PSE 10
Note 1:  to switch between iPhoto and PS or PSE as the editor of choice Control (right)-click on the thumbnail and select either Edit in iPhoto or Edit in External Editor from the contextual menu. If you use iPhoto to edit more than PSE re-select iPhoto in the iPhoto General preference pane. Then iPhoto will be the default editor and you can use the contextual menu to select PSE for your editor when desired.
Note 2:  editing a RAW file with either PSE or PS creates a new file which must be saved outside of iPhoto, i.e. the Desktop, and imported as a new photo into the iPhoto Library.

  • How do I import movies with an AVI format taken with a digital SLR?

How do I import movies with an AVI format taken with a digital SLR?

If you cannot import using File Menu > Import Movies... You'll have to convert them on a Mac.
You will need to use a free app called MPEG Streamclip from Squared 5.
Basically, you drag the .mts file into MPEG Streamclip. Then use FILE/EXPORT USING QUICKTIME and choose Apple Intermediate Codec as your codec. And it will save out to a .mov file and iMovie will edit this format like there was no tomorrow

  • Importing issues with Final Cut Pro X. Green flash and twitches while play back

Hello, I'm having some importing issues with Final Cut Pro X and I can't find any solution whatsoever. Perhaps my importing settings are wrong?
Anyways, I've done a lot of recordings on eye TV and HD PVR with some videos that are about 3 hours long. I exported them into H.264 files, which turns them into mpeg-4 files with AAC audio. Then I import them into final cut pro X and I notice it takes a long time for them to render the videos and I notice that there are some green screens and twitches while I play through the video.
Here is a screenshot of the green screen that I'm talking about:

Could it be my 2 video graphics card that is causing this kind of issues? Or is there any solution to fix this?
In the past, I've used iMovie 09 and it worked out perfectly. However, the new iMovie 11 is terrible because it automatically optimzie my 3 hour long videos into making the importing process to (144 hours long to import). Is there any way to get iMovie 09 back or am I stuck on dealing with this Final Cut Pro X issues?

  • Import dump with greek characters

    Hi
Client had provided us dump file with expdp command. We have imported it with impdp command. However, data contains greek characters. Database charset is same in both source and target database (UTF8).
Currently it seems such greek characters are not properly installed as import dump gives error for creating index on columns where such data is there as it seems it is not interpreted properly.
Is it necessary to take care to set export nls_language parameter at the time of import/export? OR can work if specify at import time?
    Please guide on it.
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
Are you sure they are ???? - a lot of the time it's just because the client isnt displaying it properly - check some of the things i mention here:
Oracle Database Blog 2.0: Working with non-english characters in linux and oracle
Also - are you sure the index is 'ok' in the original database - there hasn't been something funny done with novalidate or anything like that?
can you do a count(*) in the original and a count(distinct) and see if they are the same?
    Cheers,

    Hi Ketan,
Even I faced the same issue with MDM7.1 while importing the "| data.
The solution is simple you have to check that open double coates are closing are not.
I fthe data contains "| is not a problem with version unless it should be properly closed.
What we did was we remove open  " coates or get the data with closed "
    Hope it will help you

  • Raw files imported distorted with Lightroom 3

    Hey,
In the last months I started experiencing an issue with Lightroom 3 (is the software that came with my camera) that didn't have at the beginning and AFAIK nothing has changed after I isntalled the lastest version of lightroom 3 and the camera raw plugin.
Recently pretty much every picture I import comes with shifted bands. I know the raw files are ok because other computers load the file correctly. You can see in the car wheel the kind of shifting I am suffering.
Exporting the file to a different format will save the file with the distortion, so it is not just visual.
In all honesty, I don't know how to tackle this, I tried to install any possible updates for camera raw which didn't work and I fear that reinstalling the software might not work or just do temporally till it breaks again. Any tips will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
    Message was edited by: hitonme

When you compare the files on other computers and they are ok, are you reading them onto the second computer from the camera memory card in a card-reader or USB-cable attached to the camera, or from some other step further along in the transfer process, such as from one computer’s hard-drive to another?
Anything that happens after the last shared step is suspect.
If you are reading them from the memory card again and they are ok on the second computer, then what happens if you copy the photos, again, onto the first computer?  Do the same ones have the same faults in the same locations or are the faults different?  If the latter, then something in the transfer process (USB drivers/cable) or the computer, itself (memory, hard-drive), is bad.
If you remove and re-import the files do they still have the same faults in the same locations?  If you purge your camera-raw cache and re-develop do the same faults show up?  If not then perhaps wherever your raw cache is, is corrupted.
If you want you can try posting one of the files that has been imported into LR and is bad, here, and others can try it on their systems, to make sure the data in the file is bad.
By “posting one of the files” I mean upload it to a large-file-hosting service like www.dropbox.com and then post the public download link, here.

  • Import package with .* in jsp

If i want to use HashMap in jsp page i need to have HashMap of util package in import statment in
    page directive.
    What is difference in Using
    a) <%@ page import="java.util.HashMap"%>
    b) <%@ page import="java.util.*"%>
Is there any performance issue using importing package with .*

Ofcourse there will be a performance issue. In the
    second case (<%@ page import="java.util.*"%>
) , you are loading all the classes in java.util
package into your JSP, where as in the first case you
are getting only HashMap. So the second option will
affect the performance. Always import only the
    required classes.
rgdsThen you have no idea how import works. The only difference at all would come at compile time. After the page is compiled, there would be no performance issue whatsoever.
The main reason for doing one or the other way (same for any Java class) is clarity for those reading the code. Meaning if you use the full import, when they see "HashMap" in the code, they can look at the import statements and be sure that it's in java.util package. But generally, most people are going to be familiar with the classes in the common packages, like java.util. So I wouldn't generally list the specific classes if you are using more then one from the same package. There are other considerations where packages have classes of the same name (java.sql.Date & java.util.Date) but generally, I would always just put the full class name in the code.

  • Import error with snapshot logs

I have an export that is a full from our production database. I'm trying to import a small subset of tables from a user to a different user. One of the tables has a snapshot log against it I believe due to the error msg in the import file. I don't care about the snapshot log I just want to get the table imported. How can I tell import to avoid the snapshot log. If this is not possible, how do I figure out what table it's says can't be found to import into.

The information in this article applies to:
    - Oracle Server - Enterprise Edition - Version: 8.1.7.0 to 11.2.0.x
    - Oracle Server - Personal Edition - Version: 8.1.7.0 to 11.2.0.x
    - Oracle Server - Standard Edition - Version: 8.1.7.0 to 11.2.0.x
This problem can occur on any platform.
    Cause
Snapshots, snapshot logs, and related items are exported with the schema name explicitly given in the DDL statements, therefore, snapshots and their related items cannot be imported into a different schema.
If you attempt to use FROMUSER and TOUSER to import snapshot data, an error will be written to the Import log file and the items will not be imported.
    Solution
It is expected behavior that the snapshot log cannot be imported with a FROMUSER and TOUSER import. Therefore the errors should either be prevented from happening, or be ignored:
    1. Either delete the snapshot logs before the export takes place. Then run the export and import. After import completes, re-create the snapshot logs manually, and if necessary, perform a refresh of the snapshot.
    2. Or ensure that the FROMUSER (SCOTT in this example) exists in the target database, so the import session does not abort with the IMP-0 error (Import terminated unsuccessfully). During the import, ignore the errors that are related to the snapshot logs. After import completes, re-create the snapshot logs manually, and if necessary, perform a refresh of the snapshot.
