Hi,
the Mac internal HD ist not shown on import screen (no user drive shown!). Whenn I select 'choose other source' I can see the user drive but no
finder-structure an all!!! pictures appear for import (sorry if I don't use the
right words no nativ!)

If the above doesn’t do the trick entirely, then use the instructions in the following as it applies to the version of Windows you are using:
HT1925: Removing and Reinstalling iTunes for Windows XP
HT1923: Removing and reinstalling iTunes for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8
You may be required to boot into safe mode to complete the folder deletion process.

In Address Book, why does Apple let you create custom fields in the Template cards but not have them available for importing?

I open Address Book, go into Preferences, select Template and under the Names field (friend, assistant, father, etc) I add a custom field called "Principal".
I also add two more custom fields in the Email area.
Quit Address Book then relaunch. Add a new contact and the new custom fields, Principal, etc. are there. All good so far.
I have a Now Contact file with about 200 contacts in it. I export all fields as a Text file, Tab delimited. No problems there. With Address Book launched, select Import, pick the text file, leave Text Encoding on Automatic and click Open.
The window that shows the fields for Address Book and fields for the text file side by side opens. This is where you match up the correct fields for importing. If I go to one of the fields from the text file that I created a custom field for, click under the Address Book heading on the Do not import, scroll thru the Apple choices of fields, none of the custom fields show up. Only the original Apple ones are there. Why does Apple let you create them in the Template area but not have them available for importing? Does anyone have suggestions on getting around this?

While most likely not of interest to you, Spotlight can also tell you where the files it finds are located
Hover the mouse pointer over the name, and press Command-Option and the path to the file will be displayed.
As for opening a terminal session in the directory where a file is located, there is Applescripts that do just that as well as specific features in Lion/Mountain Lion terminal:

Imported User accounts from 10.6 Server not usable

Hello,
I have exported Users and Groups from 10.6 Server and import them using WGM to Lion Server. These users are not usable (for example if you try to login to Webmail or create an e-mail account to Apple Mail), in logs we get:
Mar 29 15:48:02 email dovecot[4311]: auth: Error: od(USERNAME,192.168.11.8): validate response: lookup failed for user: USERNAME
Any solution?

You've not said whether the Mail Service is running on your 10.7 Server but did you reset your users' passwords after importing and did you set the appropriate SACLs for those imported users using the Server.App?
WGM is not as effective in 10.7 as it was in 10.6. This is because Apple deprecated it in readiness for Profile Manager. They had to re-introduce it a short time later in a slightly modified form because of the outcry from the US education sector. What this means is you can't really use it confidenctly like before.
FWIW I've found using WGM in conjunction with Server.App and Server Admin works fairly reliably rather than using WGM alone. So what does that mean? Try clearing the users out of WGM and re-import them into the Server.App instead. Define access to services from there and hopefully things should start to work again?

Page Not Found error trying to import a large application into ApEx XE DB

I have an ApEx application that I'm trying to import from a Standard DB into Express Edition. I have 2 separate installs of ApEx both on XE and I'm getting the same problem on both.
PROBLEM:
After I import the application I get the error: PAGE NOT FOUND standard error.
The import file is 4.8 Mbytes. When I view the import repository it shows increments of the file being loaded.
for e.g. First time 3 MBytes are loaded before the error is shown
Second time 3.2MBytes are loaded then it falls over again.
any suggestions?
Smaller sized apps load up with no problems.
If it weren't for the sad state of the internal XE web server I could at least have a look at the HTTP logs. But alas someone in their wisdom had the bright idea to hide the webserver away in the bowels of the XE database.

Page Not Found error on application import

I'm using ApEx 2.1 on Oracle Express DB.
I export an application, that works fine. I now want to import it again into the same instance as a copy with a new Application Id. I start the import wizard, click on load and then I get
"Page can not be found" error.
I've followed the threads

but I have no idea of how to access the Web server Logs in Oracle Express which is mentioned in the above threads.
Any ideas on where to start trouble shooting?

I've just had a look at the import repository and each time I tried to import the file it loaded with 2,065,528 bytes.(i.e. 3 times)
The actual file size is 4,334 Kb so it seems the import falls over half way each time.

Optical Drives Not Found/Not Working

Hello everyone,
I'm having trouble getting my optical drives working. They are both the same make and model, and they both have power (open and close) but they aren't recognized by the system. I installed Arch a couple of weeks ago, after the init scripts/systemd change, so nothing was broken there (I'm not sure if that would even have anything to do with it.
I've done some research to see if I could find any drivers/firmware, but all of things I've found are only for Windows. The optical drives do work in Windows. I have added myself to the 'optical' group, and dmesg | grep CD gives:

I'm also not sure if they have ever worked under Arch and then stopped, or whether they never worked at all. I just found out earlier today when I went to burn a CD and xfburn gave a message saying that there were no burners found.
The /dev directory has no cdrom* or sr* listings at all. lshw also shows nothing about the optical drives. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I unplugged one of the drives, but it still did not show up in /dev. I checked the systemd log and it shows the folllowing:

The one labeled "TS04" isn't there anymore, but the one that is doesn't show up in devices.
I looked into writing udev rules, and I came across this thread and created a file /etc/udev/rules.d/82-cdrom.rules:

That didn't do the trick, but being that I have never dealt with writing udev rules before, I'm not sure if I'm going about it the right way.

AIP-50547 - TPA Not Found - Not Picking up Sender ID (re: "test")

I am getting closer and closer here.
I have created an 850 with ACME as the sender, and the host being GlobalChips, but now the system thinks that a sender called "test" is in the edi packet.
Does anyone have any ideas here ? I also made sure that my TPagreement has the correct effective date of today and a duration until the end of the month.

Yes, the file naming convention is causing this problem. Please arrange the file name appropriately by referring to the following document.

There seems to be a bug in EDI over generic protocol, in which the identification is always assumed to be based on the exchange. Hence it is a must to give the appropriate file naming convention. HTH.

1) Check Box for In Performance Assistance is activated given in the path.
Here goto --> Help --> Settings --> In F1 Help
2) Its not working, SAP GUI re installed.
But still F1 help is not coming.

TREX for NetWeaver 7.0 Java (2004s) SP9 not found - Not in FTP site.

The Sneak Preview for Java 7.0 shows a TREX file for download. However the file is not there. Is this a known issue? We are looking forward to using the trial, but without searching and classification, we cannot research the best way to implement our DMS.

I just checked this morning and the link now points to the SAPNetWeaver04_SP16Preview_TREX6116P2 rar file. I had downloaded that file back on 6/7/07 but it would not work. It would quit at the question asking for an instance to apply the hot fix, so I am guessing that it is only a maintenance release.
I have not re-downloaded it since they fixed the link.
However, I eventually found a download of TREX 6.1 on the SAP Software Distribution Center site found here:

Search for 51030611. I was able to load that successfully.

XI / PI SOAP Adapter - MessageServlet not found / not responding

I am in trouble with XI SOAP Adapter. When I try to reach the MessageServlet ( http://host:port/XISOAPAdapter/MessageServlet ) I get the response that document dont exists. Why MessageServlet do not respond? Anyone can help me?
In my Adapter Monitor ( http://host:port/mdt/amtServlet ) I see about the SOAP adapter a grey status and the information: "SOAP Adapter Monitoring is now part of Channel Monitoring". This is not a problem, according to Suraj: "SOAP Adapter will become active only when you sent a message through that for atleast one time.")

Check whether you are using a path on the Application Server.
OPEN DATASET cannot process files on presentation server. I guess, the path you are using is present on your PC or some other server that is not the SAP application server.

CSI Not found(not recognized) when running up2date --register

I recently downloaded OEL 5.5, paid for the Network support option (which DOESN'T allow Support logging) but when I try to log in to download updates, I enter my username, password, the CSI provided me when I purchased the Network option but it errors telling me the CSI is invalid. Any suggestions?

Been there, done that already. I have an account, I even received an email from Oracle with the Network UL CSI. The problem is that running up2date --register works but I keep getting a message that the CSI is INVALID.

I am using oracle as database and weblogic 4.5. I have copied the classes12.zip file in lib directory of weblogic. I am getting the error that oracle.sql.* and oracle.jdbc.driver.* not found when i am importing these packages in a jsp file. what i need to do to import oracle driver packages?I put it in the classpath also.
Please Advice!

Hi Anupama,
First of all I would be surprised if you would not like to use the connection pooling feature of weblogic (in which case you might not be needing the import the classes directly), and would like to open direct connections to your database. Anyways for doing that I would recommend you to check out the readme doc that ships
along with the jdbc oracle (classes12.zip etc). I am giving an excerpt over here:
These are a few simple things that you should do in your JDBC program:
1. Import the necessary JDBC classes in your programs that use JDBC.
For example:
import java.sql.*;
import java.math.*;
2. Register the Oracle driver before before calling other JDBC APIs.
(This is not needed if you are using the JDBC Server-side Internal
Driver because registration is done automatically in the server.)
To register the Oracle driver, make sure the following statement
is executed at least once in your Java session:
DriverManager.registerDriver(
new oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver());
3. Open a connection to the database with the getConnection call.
Different connection URLs should be used for different JDBC
drivers. The following examples demonstrate the different URLs.
For the JDBC OCI8 Driver:

"scott", "tiger");
where <database> is either an entry in tnsnames.ora or a SQL*net
