How to Import vmdk into Oracle VM Manager 3.0.2
Hi all
I am running BIC2G in VM Box and OracleApps(BIC2G-LNX) in VMware Player.
I want to run both in OVM 3.0.2.
BIC2G is having 5 files one *.ovf* and 4 *.vmdk* files
and OracleApps(BIC2G-LNX) is having one *.vmx* and many *.vmdk* files.
Can anyone please tell me how to import these files into OVM 3.0.2
Thanks

You need to be able to package your VM as an OVA to import it into Oracle VM. Check your VMware documentation on how to do that. -
Import guest OS into Oracle VM manager template
I am getting ready to install the Oracle VM Manager template on my Oracle Virtual Server. Originally I had the VM manager on a separate machine than the OVS. I have decided that I want to free up that machine and use the VM manager template. From the instructions on installing the template it does not seem that difficult. My question is since I currently already have a few guest OS's running on my current Manager how do I import those into the VM manager template when I get it installed. Because the VM manager template will be in the running pool with the other guest OS so how does it register those guest os's that have been previously created?
ThanksIf your servers are already registered with an Oracle VM Manager, the template will not work -- it's designed to create a new server pool, which will fail. If you want to switch to the template, dismantle the pool first (but don't delete the VMs!) and then run the template installer script. It will automatically create a pool and add the server on which you start the VM. You can then add the remaining server(s) and then import the existing VMs.

Self Generated Certification into Oracle Wallet Manager ?
Hello,
I have an written a function in PL/SQL to communicate with web services
this server accessed with HTTPS, it uses self generated certification!
how I can:
export this certification (using web browser)
Import it to Oracle Wallet Manager
is it going to work?
cheersHi Tejo,
I think you posted your question into the wrong forum. This is Hyperion Query and Reporting forum that discusses issues related to Hyperion Financial Reporting Studio, Interactive Reporting, Web Analysis, etc. I would do a search for Oracle Wallet Manager on google, find the best Oracle Forum and post the question there.

Error trying to log into Oracle Directory Manager
I am receiving an error message when I try to log into Oracle Directory Manager. This is the first time I am trying to log in, I am trying to login with the username cn=orcladmin, and with the password welcome, which is the default. I then receive the error message "Server is not up and running". I thought I started an OID instance with oidctl.
I am running on w2k.
I am using the default port 389, at least thats what I accepted while installing the infrastructre.
Any advise? From the main page for this forum (http://forums.adobe.com/community/creative_cloud) please see the announcement.

Can anyine help me in importing data into oracle 9i
Hi All ,
I am very new to oracle 9i.I have created the dump of the database using exp command.
exp system/manager file="testdb.dmp" owner=scott
Now i want the same database to be imported to a new machine.I have installed oracle 9i with database global database name SID as stc .I am able to connect to the database "stc " using scott and tiger using sql plus.
The import command that I used is
imp scott/tiger file=testdb.dmp fromuser=scott touser=scott
When I gave like this , it showed like "Invalid login name/password".
But when I gave the command as
imp scott/tiger file=testdb.dmp fromuser=scott touser=system
It worked . But I am unable to loacate the tables.
Also I want to import these tables into scott. So is there any better way so that I can copymy data from one machine to another . Or is there any tool which converts mysql tables scripts into oracle table scripts
Thanking you in advance
DinyHi
I tried giving the same but it is showing the same : oracle error 1017 encoountered . Logon denied.
And it is asking for new login and password.
Then I gave the login / pwd as scott / tiger . Then it started importing .
We already had added around 150 tables in the database early. So is there any command so that we can delete all the tables entirely.

Does anyone know a way to import payments that were made for a set of invoices that were imported through the Payables Open Interface into Oracle Payables through an API or any other kind of interface? Basically i need to import invoices and payments that were paid online through a third party site into Oracle Payables.
I have searched - http://irep.oracle.com, but i have not found anything that will create a payment in Oracle Payables and mark the associated invoices as Paid.
Here's some far fetched options i have come up with so far:
Option 1:
I want to take the process of Recording Manual Payments and Wire Transfers through the UI and automate this. However, i don't see that this functionality is available anywhere through an API. Is this available through an API? This manual process is documented here: https://csslxa03.hkcss.org.hk:16298/OA_HTML/jsp/fnd/fndhelp.jsp?dbc=/u01/oracle/fmprd/appl/fnd/11.5.0/secure/csslxa06_fmprd.dbc
Option 2:
OR another possiblity would be to create the Payment Batches for the imported invoices. Questions with this are: Is there a way to assign specific invoices to a Payment Batch? Is there a way to do this programatically? Can you assigned a Check Number to a Payment as well? Because these payments have already been made.
Option 3:
Edit the Oracle tables directly. Don't want to do this though and introduce the possiblity of corrupting data.
Thanks,
ScottI see that this is the functionality accomplished through the Manual Payments. However, we need to do this programatically on a batch basis because we need to do possbily a few hundred of these a day. We can't have a person keying these in.
So does anyone have a good work around to getting this done programatically?
What is Oracle's stance on editing the tables directly. I can hopefully quite easily figure out what tables are modified during the entry of a Manual Payment through the GUI and mimic this programatically, but this is not a good solution in my mind.
Thanks,
Scott -
Can you import Access into Oracle 10g Express Edition?
Hi all,
I know you can import files from Access into some other versions of Oracle, but is it possible with 10g XE?
I've been looking at all the tools in my browsers and none seem to do it.
I guess I'll need to convert the tables into text, and then from text into Oracle?
ThanksWhy not give SQLDeveloper's migration a shot?
You can get it for free here.
http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/sql/index.html
I've never personally done it, but it doesn't look to mind bending :)
http://www.oracle.com/technology/obe/11gr1_db/appdev/msamigrate/msamigrate.htm
Should work fine with XE. -
Hi,
I have some access tables (may be nearly 60) in one Windows PC. I need to import all the data into Oracle Database. This has to run every day night. So I need your help to import the data into oracle the easier, faster way.Are you trying to do an incremental load every night? Or would you be able to do a full load from Access to Oracle every night?
What operating system is Oracle running on? Can the Oracle database server connect to the Access database? If so, you could potentially use Heterogeneous Connectivity to create a database link from Access to Oracle and write PL/SQL that would extract data from Access and load it into Oracle.

OK, now I can log into my Adobe (website) account and see my purchases, serial numbers, etc. .... AND ..... I am now able to log into my Applications Manager!!
I did not do anything different from the other past few days; didn't load or download any software, nothing. Strange, but I'm glad it's back to normal now.
Figures; when I go and seek out assistance ... it fixes itself.
Thanks again ... and I hope this does not re-occur!! -

Import data into oracle from a text file?
hi guys,
How can we import data into oracle9i release 1 from a text file with comma seperated or tab seperated delimeters?
please help,
Imrantable is already created, just have to populate data into table through a dat or text file. As suggested, you would either:
1). use SQL*Loader to load the data into this table.
2). create external table on that data file and then do:
INSERT INTO your_real_table
SELECT * FROM that_external_table ; -
