Importance of mark for translation check box

Hi:
While translating the fields to another language with or without marking the check box "Mark for Translation" the fields are translated...Could anyone give the importance of this check box??

Hi, It only provides a facility to keep track of fields that you like to translate manually. When you choose Mark for translation and change the translation language in field management page, you can see all the marked for translation fields in blue color.The blue color goes off the moment you modify the display name in another language and save the record.

Hello Kumar,
You need to check this check box in case you want to convert the display name into the language you would select for the instance.
Lets say in futture if you are changing the language for a particular use, at that time if this is checked then only display name will be converted.

Customer cannot put in the check mark in the check box. same acrobat version. font "adobe_pi" mistak

i have a problem. i created a form with check boxes. everything went fine, till today. a customer called me,
that he cannot put a mark in my check boxes. so i asked him about his version. he told me, that he has the
same version of acrobat pro x as i am using. then i asked him to try it in acrobat reader, but it was the same
result. after these tries, i changed the kind of mark to a simple cross. that did work then, but i donnot like it.
i want the nice marks! i saw, that acrobat pro x is using the font adobe-pi. could this be the problem? how
can i find out? or is it a different mistake? please help me, cause i don´t want to change my whole forms!
they are so many and i have to ensure that every customer can fill out my forms! it is so important!

and the preferences of the customers program are in the pdf/a-viewing area two possibilities to set:
"No" and "only at pdf/a-documents". there is no "all". and we have the same setting in this section
of the preferences.

The checkmarls are simple images. If you scale up the check mark or look at it in higher magnification, it of course appears blurry.
You may want to replace the check marks by graphics of your own (perhaps scaleable SVGs)
Select a check box, open the states panel and see the different states; change the graphics for the desired state by using the "Fill"-command in command strip on top of the application window.

'Mark for Translation' cannot be used in languages other then the primary

I'm using webservices to update a picklist and when i try to insert a new value im getting the following error message:
'Mark for Translation' cannot be used in languages other then the primary.(SBL-ODS-50196).
Can anyone give me an help on this?

Need code for Dynamic check box creation in struts

dynamic checkbox should be created with details of data stored in database(with check mark for already selected check box).
once user make any change to that page and click submit the result ahould be saved in database..
can anybody explain me how to proceed this.
If any sample source code you have plz do sent me..

consider these are the details in database
1. apple checked
2. orange
3. mango
4. grapes checked
consider a jsp page which should display list of fruits in the datsbase,
the jsp page should retrieve these data and diaplay with check box.
These should be generated dynamically.
Assume the jsp page has option for user to enter some other fruit name which should be updated into database of fruits and that should be displayed with the jsp page during next visit.(i.e) number of fruits in the database is not constant.

I'm trying to fill a pdf with a asp.net web form. I'm getting the text boxes filled ok, but I'm having trouble setting the check boxes. I am testing to see if a web form check box is checked. if it is, I tried to set the pdf checkbox value to "on". But this doesn't seem to be right.
My asp.net code is like:

The value is the value entered into the "Export Value" option when the form is created. You can use the Acrobat JavaScript "exportValues" property to get the array of values for the same named check boxes. And if you know the 'widget' of the check box, you can use 'isBoxChecked' method to check if a given 'widget' is checked. More information is contained in the Acrobat JavaScript doucmentation.

Migrating the Translatable check box

Hi All,
I have a template and it has two RTF's attached. One is for AMEIRACAN_AMERICA and other is for JAPANESE_JAPAN. I have enabled the (ticked the checkbox) Translatable option for US RTF. and japanese is the localized template.
But when i move the template from once instance to other, both RTF's are migrating as Localized template only. How can i specify the US template as Translatable one and Japanese template as Localized when migrating. Below is the code i am using.. please help.

Not all locales come with a dictionary installed for licensing reasons.
If you do not have the en-US locale then check that you have a dictionary installed (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) and selected.
You can see which dictionary is selected if you right-click in a text area and open the ''Languages'' submenu.
Also make sure that [[X]"Check Spelling" in the right-click context menu has a tick.
You can also try to toggle the "Check Spelling" item off and on again.

Checking for a check box using if and statement

I am trying to have an alert pop up when "funded by grant" box is check AND ("journey based program" OR "BFF series") boxes are not checked. I can do very simple scripts, but I cannot get a grasp on if I am even on the right path. Any ideas?

1) The scope of this enhancement is required only for transaction VA02 - Change Sales Order, order-type maintained in table TVARV
2) In the program, if User tries to uncheck the checkbox Complete delivery (VBAK-AUTLF), program to check if there are subsequent deliveries for stock reservation (Delivery type ZRES) are existing or not. If the deliveries are existing, an appropriate error message should be displayed and user should be restricted from performing this activity.
So please tell me where to insert my code? according to my requirement and also please send me the user exit or function module exit

Account marked for deletion

Hi,
i have one account marked for deletion, and this message " Account marked for deletion?" is displayed when i used it.
So please how to cancel that and make this account normal?

Hi,
If you have marked the account for deletion you will get this message. But system will allow you to post. If you want posting to be prevented to this account you should block at company code and chart of account level in addition to marking for deletion. You can find the lock key just next to deletion key in FS00 t code.
You can goto FS00 and uncheck mark for deletion check box.

IF one checked box in the same PERNR is marked, mark the rest of them?

I've an ALV with checked boxes, now, when the user check one check box of one PERNR I need to mark all the check boxes of that PERNR...for example

Make a check box in LiveCycle with a personal character or image as check mark ( info to share...)

Hello everybody,
It makes now several weeks i go trough the different forums to find a way to make the check mark of a check box in LiveCycle with a personal color instead of the default black mark, that seems to be the only option available.
I saw somebody else with that question, but no answer.
So i found a work around, that make the check box really flexible.
Here it is:
REMEMBER that this will work only with forms saved as dynamic PDF.
Open a new form in Livecycle.
1) Open Library panel ( Shift+F12) and select Check Box and put it in the page with the dimension and position you like and select it.
Open the Object panel ( Shift+F7), select field section and under Caption make it blank. Select Binding Section and under name write in ' CheckBox '. for the rest leave all the section values as they are.
2) In Library select, in the standard section, the icon for making a text object. Put it in the page and size it to your needs and put it on the top of the CheckBox. Select it.
In the Object Panel, Draw section and under Presence 'Visible'.
Open the Font panel ( Shift+F4) and under font section, Font : select the Wingdings font and choose the symbol to use as the mark, under Size : the size you need, under Style: font color you like. If the result of the mark is to your feel, set the object to 'invisible'. Leave all other values as they are.
Open the Hierarchy panel (Shift+F11), right click on the static object and rename it to ' CheckMarkModel ' .
For information : changing the text object to an image object let's you use an image for the mark in the checkbox.
3) In Library, select in the standard section the icon for making a Button. Put it in the page and size it to the CheckBox dimension and put it on the top of the text object. Select it. In the Object panel, under Caption : make it blank, under Appearance : select custom in the drop down list an in the dialog box that comes up set the edges to none and the
background to none. Leave the rest as it is.
Open the Hierarchy panel (Shift+F11), right click on the Button object and rename it to ' ClickCheckBoxButton ' .
Now open the Script Editor (Shift+Ctrl+F5), on the left under Show : select in the list the ' Click ' event, under Language : select JavaScript, copy to the window the following script :

4)Now put in the page an other Check Box, put it on the top of the Button object and select it. In the Object panel, Field section, under Caption : make it blank, under Appearance : none, under Presence : invisible, let the rest as it is. In the Value section, under Type : Read Only, under Default : Off. In the Binding section, under Name : name it CheckMarkOnOff, leave the rest as it is.
5) So you have now four objects in the page 1. In the Hierarchy panel set each object by dragging them in
this order :
CheckBox
CheckMarkModel
ClickCheckBoxButton
CheckMarkOnOff
In the form select all the objects and group them. If you copy the group as many times you need you automatically will have an other Check Box, ready to work.
So here you are with an personal Check Box.
Don't forget to set the preview PDF to dynamic under Menu /File/Form Properties, the in the dialog box that shows up /Default tab and under the XDP Preview format : select in the list an Acrobat Dynamic form.
REMEMBER that this will work only with forms saved as dynamic PDF.

I also faced this same problem and there is an actual solution but it involves modifying the xml source for the checkbox - however it is a simple modification so if your not familiar with editing the xml source don't worry about that. Click on the checkbox you want to modify and then click on the XML Source tab. LiveCycle will take you to that point in the XML. Now, scroll down until the close of the ui node( </ui> )within the checkbox field and modify the font node to look like the following: </ui> -- close of UI node <fill> <color value="0,0,255"/> </fill> This produces a checkbox with a blue check mark. You can, of course, make the color any RGB number you want. You can then save that field in your library and reuse it anytime you want and it will always have that color checkmark.
