  • QuickTime 10.1 Screen Recordings Blurry Once Imported into Premiere Pro CS6

I am doing screen recordings with QuickTime 10.1 that appear to be of good quality until I import into Premiere Pro CS6 and then they display and export very poorly and very blurry to the point that you can't read the text on the page. Any suggestions to fix this problem?

    Hi Kristine,
Make sure that the clips are positioned on the X,Y axis as whole integers, not integers + decimal points. See if that works for you.

  • What is THE best video file format to import into Premiere Pro CS6?

What is THE best video file format to import into Premiere Pro CS6? I am tired of the guess work of "this might work if you do this." Just tell me which is, flat out, the easiest for Premiere to read?? I generally animate in Adobe Flash, and some times with a Live camera. Premiere seems to pick and choose which video file it wants. I import from the File drop down box in the upper left hand corner, then move the video file to timeline. Under the "scrubber" there is a thin red, (or when rendered) a green line. The videos I put in the timeline show a thin yellow line which means Premiere is confused. So, in basic terms, which video format is MOST commonly accepted with the least amount of trouble/hassle?

Premiere has a function now where you can import a clip and drag onto a timeline and it will prompt you with a message about changing the timeline settings to match your clip, (or if there is no timeline it will automatically create one that matches your clip.) This is in CC of course so you might consider upgrading. They have fixed a lot of compatibility issues from CS6 to now. If you don't want to get all of CC for 60/month then you can at least shell out 20/month on premiere. It's worth it. They've made it where you don't have to worry about 99% of all video formats. They just work.

  • Why won't .avi files import into premiere pro cs6?

I have some GoPro footage in .avi format that won't import to Premiere Pro cs6. Anyone have suggestions?

AVI is a wrapper, what is inside YOUR wrapper - Exactly what is INSIDE the video you are editing?

  • QuickTime 10.1 Screen Recordings are Blurry Once Imported into Premiere Pro CS6

I am doing some screen recordings on my Mac using QuickTime 10.1, but when I try to import them into Premiere Pro CS6, they are poor quality and blurry. It's difficult to read text and logos on the recordings are showing up fuzzy. Anything I can do to improve the quality with what I have? I'm trying to do a new site demo, so I'd like to have things appear more clearly. I am, however, by no means a video expert or Premiere Pro expert, so a lot of the output names and labels, I'm not familiar with. Is that what I'm doing wrong?

  • REDEPIC (.r3d) files won't import in Premiere Pro CS6

I was recently called upon to edit a project that has already been shot by someone else (who is no longer in the picture for personal reasons).  They used a REDEPIC (S35 Mysterium-X I believe) to shoot the files and so now I have all of these (.r3d) files and I can't import them into Premiere Pro CS6.  I know that it's an issue with CS6, and I've read that CS6 doesn't support some REDEPIC files, but I was wondering if there was a workaround or an update that I could install that would allow me to work with the files.   I downloaded a trial of Premiere Pro CC (2014) and of course it works beautifully, but I got CS6 about 2 years ago (only months before CC came out... of course.) and I was hoping to be able to use it a little bit before having to upgrade.
I also tried opening the files up in REDCINE-X Pro, and them exporting them into Apple Pro Res 422 to import them, but then the audio is just static and I lose anything else.
So if you know either a way to import the .r3d files into Premiere Pro CS6 natively, or you know a better codec or way to export out of REDCINE-X Pro, I would really appreciate it.

I believe that those MOV files are using the H.264 CODEC. You will need to have that installed (comes with later versions of Apple's QT), but even then, might not work in PrPro 1.5. I just do not recall if it supported H.264.
For a bit more background on file formats, this ARTICLE might be useful. For a bit more on CODEC's in general, this ARTICLE might be useful.
Good luck, and hope that PrPro 1.5 does handle H.264.

  • Maximum file size for importing into Premiere Pro CS6

    Hi,
I'm considering recording raw video, no compression at 720p, 30 fps for 20-30 min.  This woudl result in a file that is close to 80 Gbytes.  I'm wondering what the maximum file size for importing into premiere Pro is and if I need to split this file up into smaller pieces.  Any recommendations on how I may deal with uncompressed raw video that is pretty long in length?
    Thanks,
    Serena

There is bound to be some limit somewhere in the program, but you should be well below that. The biggest issue might be whether your computer is up to the task of handling it. If you will post your computer specs., someone will give you comments on that aspect.
    Good luck,

  • Encore CS6 crashes when importing from Premiere Pro CS6

When sending a project to Encore as a Dynamic Link from Premiere Pro, Encore hangs then a message pops up that it has stopped responding then closes. How do we get this to work?
The computer has an Intel Core i7 processor, 16GB of RAM and is running Windows 7 Pro x64 with Service Pack 1. Adobe CS6 Master Collection is installed. The computer is joined to a Windows Server 2012 domain and the user of the machine has local administrator rights.
The Adobe suite has been uninstalled and re-installed multiple times without success. Sometimes after re-installing, sending a Dynamic Link to Encore will import as expected once, but then after restarting the computer, the problem will occur again. This has been tried with and without installing any Adobe updates. The system has also been wiped and had Windows and all software clean installed on it again which has not resolved the problem.

  • Input video appears stretched when imported to Premiere Pro CS6

I'm on a beginner level on Premiere Pro so please be gentle if this question is very basic. I'm trying to make a video that preserves the input video resolution exactly. My input video was an MP4 movie with resolution 1440 x 1080. It's an iPad screen recording using X-Mirage software. When I opened it normally in quicktime, it didn't seem stretched. However, when I imported the clip into Premiere, the clip appeared stretched. I checked the Properties of the clip and it turned out to have Pixel Aspect Ratio of 1.3333, which meant the pixels were stretched. My output sequence was also stretched out because of this, even though the output indicated that the resolution is the same: 1440 x 1080. I tried to comply with "Clip Mismatch Warning" and the result was still a stretched version. Please help!

    Hi,
In premiere pro, you will see sequence on the top. Click on sequence and from the drop down select sequence settings. Under sequence settings there would be a tab of pixel aspect ratio. Try and change it to d1/dv ntsc widescreen 16:9 or hd anamorphic.
Check if it makes any difference.
    Thank You

  • XAVC import to Premiere Pro CS6 Vers. 6.0.5

  • XAVC Files Import in Premiere Pro CS6

  • Issue with importing H.264 files into Premiere Pro CS6

I have some AVI files that will not import into Premiere Pro CS6 (not trial version). The Gspot utility says they are H.264/MPEG-4 AVC format and that the codec is installed. I can see and play the files in Bridge but when I try to import it says “Unsupported format or damaged file”. I tried importing in CS5.5 and the file imported, however only the audio plays. Why is this happening and how can I import these files?

Premiere does not support H.264 in an avi.
    You need to convert first.

  • How to Import Chapter Names Created in Premiere Pro CS6 to Encore CS6?

I edited a sequence in Prmiere Pro CS6 and then I created and named all my Encore Chapter Markers while still in Ppro. I then opened Encore CS6 and used the Adobe Dynamic Link to import my Premiere Pro CS6 sequence into Encore CS6 and created a new timeline from that sequence. I imported a Menu (which I created in Photoshop) and linked the first chapter to button 1 in my menu and then used Create Chapter Index to bhild all the menus. How do I get the Chapter names to automatically appear in these menus without having to retype each one?

Select a button and look at properties. Check the option "Set Name From Link." You can select multiple buttons and do them at one go.

  • How am I best to export from Camtasia Studio 8 to Premiere Pro CS6 64bit

I exported a 1hr 35min Camtasia Studio 8 project to a techsmith encoded AVI. This looks fine when I view it using WMP. However when I import into Premiere Pro CS6 (6.0.3) it comes up as only 2min 32secs. I then thought I'd used Adobe media encoder but again the file shows as 2mins 32secs.
    Any ideas?

I don't use Camtasia, but I did save some previous discussions

  • Premiere Pro cs6 - Workspace video pane remains blank when trying to view imported files

    Hello,
I'm currently working in Adobe Premiere Pro CS6. When I import my media into my workspace and drag it onto the timeline, the preview box where you can review your cut video remains black. Double clicking on the imported file gives the same result. I was initially importing .jpg files (about 300kb size for each) so I tried importing various other image formats - .png, .tiff, etc... I have even imported a movie file into my scene to determine whether the issue was with my content format. With the video, the audio plays fine, but the video remains blank in the preview box. I have tried rendering my workspace and changing my initial project settings, but to no avail. I went into my preferences for Premiere and from what I can determine, everything looks fine.
I'm running the software on an HP Pavilion, Windows 7 intel i7, 8gb ram, with a nvidia 650M 2GB card. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

    Hi,
Have you tried to change your Video Renderer? It would be under Project > Project Settings > General. Switch the option to Mercury Playback Engine software only and see if it helps.
    Thanks,
    Rameez
