Imported Archives - Path
Hi,
Someone know where PI deploys the imported files? Example a JAR file.
Thank you very much.
Angelo

Hi Vijay,
ED-standard schema for describing the message structure.If you have the structure provided to you from some external application you can use it in PI directly without recreating in PI.you can import following formats which are used to describe message schema
WSDL (Web Service Description Language),
XSD (XML Schema Definition Language),
DTDs (Document Type Definitions)
Imported Archives: its used basically for java and xslt mapping where you create the required mapping externally using some tools
(java-eclipse/NWDS .XSLT-stylus studio).You can also implement XSLT and Java mappingsf and save them as archives in the Integration Repository.

Java class specified for a rule not present in the archive path
While checking an implementation of configurator, I found a CX rule that has a java class associated with it oracle.apps.cz.cx.xxx.AVCX
But, when I clicked the 'Choose class' button to check where this class is located, I am unable to find the same in the list of available classes.
I have also checked the jar file containing the custom java classes with no avail.
But, the functionality works fine as expected. i.e., while clicking the UI button that invokes this CX rule, it works as it should.
What could be the reason for this? Could the java class be hidden somewhere else other than the archive path specified for this model?
Thanks in advance for any advise.Hi Biju,
In this case, this class may be located on the server file system. To know the location of any class on server system, you can do following:
Open http://host:url/OA_HTML/CZInfo.jsp
Enter your classname with path in apprpriate input box and then find it. It would display the location of the class in filesystem from where its loaded.
Thanks,

Accessing a file in Imported Archive from Adapter module
Hi,
I am designing a module for File/FTP and Mail adapters. Is it possible to retrieve data from a CSV or TXT file uploaded in the Imported Archive from the Java code in the module? If this is possible, do I use the same approach as accessing the CSV data from the mapping using a UDF? If this is not possible, can you suggest other ways were I can access a CSV or TXT configuration file from an adapter module?
I would like to avoid using Module key, Parameter name and Parameter value as I would like to make the adapter module generic and the data I will be reading might be too much to be specified in this location. However, I would use the Module key, Parameter name and Parameter value to specify the CSV or TXT filename which the adapter module will be using.
Thanks in advance for any help that you can provide.
Regards,
ElbertImported archives are part of mapping flow and adapter modules are more part of routing. Therefore I don't think imported archive could be made accessible anywhere outside mapping.
but my CSV or TXT file would be updated regularly by the developer.
So were you planning to import this file again and again under imported archive? This doesn't seems to be a good solution when you think about changin Design part in Production environment. It would be better to give access to certain folder to developer to put the file there and access it using some code. You may refer this

Hi Guru,
I have imported into XI a XSLT Mapping in IMPORTED ARCHIVE; now I have to use thi mapping in my Interface Mapping, but the imported Archive (the XSLT Mapping...) is not visible! How is it possible?
Thanks to all!hi,
1. Make sure that the XSLT program .zip or jar format.
2. If the mapping program it' not showing then forceble you need to push your interface mapping.
If the mapping program it is not showing mean particular source message particular target message couldn't defind the mapping program..this is not complesary any mapping program we can push through forceble .

How to import externally defined mapping programs in to Imported archieves? could anybody help me....
Thanks in advance,
ManojHi Manoj,
XI supports 4 types of mappings
1. Message mapping
2. XSLT MApping
3. JAVA Mapping
4. ABAP Mapping.
If you go with message mapping or ABAP mapping no need to use imported archive. If you want to implement XSLT or JAVA mapping then only you need to import those programmes into imported archives. when import the external programms(XSLT or JAVA) to the Imported archives then should keep those file as a ZIP. The ZIP files only can import to the Imported Archives.
Thanks,

Using imported archive in UDF using import statement
Hello Expert,
I am trying to use the class of keystore_api.jar which is impoted in imported archive in my UDF using the import statement
com.sap.engine.interfaces.keystore.KeystoreManager but I am getting the error
package com.sap.engine.interfaces.keystore does not exist
import com.sap.engine.interfaces.keystore.*;
Appreciate your valuable replies.
Kind Regards,
Kubra fatimaHi,
as ur import statement states
com.sap.engine.interfaces.keystore
You need to import the jar in directory hierarchy as above manner.
com[sap[engine[interface[]keystore[JAR]]]]

What is the Use of Imported Archives in Mapping Objects
Hi All,
What is the Use of Imported Archives in Mapping Objects ( IR )
Regards
VamsiHi Vamsi,
When we are doing JAVA , XSLT mappings we have to do import archievs
after developing the JAva mapping in NWDS and create jar file come back to IR under imported archieves we will import the jar file.
Similarly XSLT als make the zip and import under imported archieves
Also when we have any java packages ,import it under archieves and make them to use in UDF
See the below links

Issue in .class file in imported archive ESR - after upload using eclipse
Dear Friends,
My requirement here is too change existing java mapping. Here I am exporting zip file from imported archive and after making changes in eclipse upload the .JAR file again. Here .class file is not opening after upload in Imported Archive.
Error is
Setup I am having on my system.
-> JDK version on my system JDK 1.6_34
-> JRE on my system – JRE 6
-> Using eclipse SDK 4.2.2
SAP PI servers settings.
I searched online blogs but no help. Can anybody guide me what wrong am I doing here?
Thanks.
Sumeet.Thanks for reply..Hareesh.
-> In Eclipse only 1 warning is coming and no error. I guess Eclipse automatically compile .class file. Is there any way in eclipse to see if compilation is done properly?
-> I imported few external JAR files and already few JAR files are there in Eclipse(JRE1.6), as shown in fig below. Which JAR file is being user? How can I make sure?
-> When using Run as option I am not getting any option. Is it normal or did I have to activate some option?
Please give your views on this.
Thanks.

Access Imported Archive in User Defined Function
Hi!
I want to access a XML file in an user defined function in a message mapping. The XML file is included in an imported archive. I need the information out of this XML file for configuring an extended receiver determination.
Does anyone know how to solve this?
Best regards,
DanielHi Krishna,
a property file will be a solution but is has to be stored in the filesystem. In my scenario I prefer a file (not neccessary xml) which is editeable in the IR.
I tried something in this way (just for testing):
try {
DocumentBuilderFactory factory = null;
DocumentBuilder builder = null;
Document document = null;
Element element = null;
factory = DocumentBuilderFactory.newInstance();
builder = factory.newDocumentBuilder();
document = builder.parse(Container.class.getResourceAsStream("routing.xml"));
element = (Element)document.getElementsByTagName("BUSINESS_SYSTEM").item(0);
return element.getNodeValue();
} catch (Exception e) {
return "Crash: "+e.getMessage();
But it crashes, because the resource "routing.xml" cannot be found. I tried to add the namespace or the name of the imported archive or both as prefix, but it don't work. How can I find out under which address/url I can open the xml document?
Best regards,
Daniel -
Problem in recognising the imported archives
Hi All,
Inorder to increase the reusability, I've created a JAR file for some of the user defined functions (like lookup, etc) and imported that JAR (under imported archives) into XI from my local machine. But, in the UDF when I try to instantiate an object for the class in the JAR file, I get an error saying that package com.abc.xyz (which I've mentioned in the import statement of the UDF, because in my JAR class, I had mentioned the same package) doesn't exist.
Doesn't XI recognise the Jar files imported under archives? Should I keep the JAR file in the J2EE server of XI? Please suggest.
Thanks in advance.
Thanks,
Joe.Hi,
What tool are you using to create the jar files?
The jar file should also have the model folder present in it.
for importing if your class name is Abc
in the package com.company then type
import com.company.Abc;
While importing in the Imported Archives make sure the jar created by you has the .project and .classpath files also in it..

Brainstorming imported Archives (JAVA) versus Z-TABLEs (ABAP)
Hi everybody,
we got very complex processes and I would like to ease them:
Instead of fixedValues in Message-Mapping we use CSV-files and store them in the imported archives.
In different message-mappings we read the CSVs via UDF.
The problem is that the CSV get often updated by the R/3-agents. So we have a lot of administrative work to communicate with the agents, import the files, transport and so on.
Thats the reason I am thinking of creating z-tables where the agents can maintain the values instead of updating the CSV. Also the agents would be able to transport the z-table entries.
But as the z-tables are resided on the ABAP-stack we would have change our graphical message mappings to ABAP-Mappings. This would be to much work for us and is not practicable.
Do you see a workaround or a best practice I do not see?
Thanks Regards
MarioHi,
Instead of doing all this work, you can do in simple
Use RFC LOOKUp in XI Mapping to pull the values based on the input value and Maintain the ZTable in ABAP Stack of XI or in R/3 itself.
RFC Lookups

Use this crazy piece for any RFC Mapping Lookups!

Hi,
Can anyone tell me where does XI actually make a copy of the Imported Archive?
eg. the jar aii_map_api.jar is available @ usr/sap/X01/DVEBMGSOO/j2ee/cluster/server0/apps/sap.com/com.sap.xi.services
on the XI server.
So there must be a location where XI stores the imported archives also
Actually I am trying to access a .xsd file in a java code
for this the suggested solution is to include the .xsd also in the jar file which will finally be imported in to the Imported archives in XI
But now when I run the java code/mapping it throws an error saying hte .xsd cud not be found.
So please tell me whether there is any special care I have to take for this.
RanjitHi,
Could you please try by importing the xsd file in external definitions instead of imported archives. Please make sure you are importing in the same SWCV. I dont know if this is the correct reason. Just give a try.

Sudheer.
