Imported calendar events show up as invitation

I imported my Linux calendar to my new iMac. The imported events show up as an invitation, which I can't change. How can I convert an invitation, which I can't edit, to an event that I can edit?

This may be fixable with owner permissions (Linux side?). Does anyone know where the iCal entries are, and if they are readable as ASCII?

  • Icalendar | Imported calendar events not synching

I just imported several years worth of events into icalendar on my iMac (mountain lion). I imported these from an outlook file.
Ical has categorized these calendar events as "On my Mac" and I have named them "palm". (All of these events were shaded in grey. I changed them to yellow.)
Unfortunately, I don't see these calendar events on my ipad or iphone.
I would like these events to synch via icloud to my ipad and iphone. Is there a way to do this other than clicking on each calendar entry and manually changing the 'color' ?
Other than these 'imported calendar events", all other calendar entries (icloud : "work", "calendar" & "home") 'synch' via icloud between my imac, ipad and iphone correctly.
    See attached screen shot.
    Thanks in advance!

Linc Davis - That method didn't work. It would drag down but wouldn't stick. Just returned to orginal position.
Fortunately I found this and it worked.

  • Since switching to iCloud all of my calendar events show up double.

Since switching to iCloud all of my calendar events show up double. How can I fix this?

In the calendar settings on your mobile, uncheck anything "from my mac" that is already syncing to iCloud.  By syncing directly b/w your iCal and mobile and then also displaying the iCloud calendars, you get doubles.  Also, in iTunes disable syncing of your calendars.  iCloud will take care of it.

  • Bug: Repeating Google Calendar Events Show Up On The Wrong Days

I've created a Google Calendar event that repeats "Daily," every two days, from 6:00pm to 6:30pm. It shows up fine in my Google Calendar, but the Pre's Calendar puts them on the wrong days. For example, the repeating event that should be scheduled for today shows up tomorrow (offset by +1 day).
I tried turning off network timezones, but the bug remains.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. If this is a bug, how can I submit it to Palm?
    Thanks!
Post relates to: Pre p100eww (Sprint)
    Some new data:
If I create the repeating event on my Pre, rather than via Google, it shows up on the Pre correctly. However, it only shows up for one day via Google (today); the event is not repeated. When I edit the event in Google, it's setup correctly. I tried saving the event from there, but it doesn't cause Google to recognize it should repeat.
    Very frustrating.
    Even more new data:
Created yet another event via my Pre instead of via Google. This time Google picked up the correct repeat pattern, and my Pre now shows it on the correct days.
Calendar sync needs serious work, based on my experience. I have issues with Facebook events showing up an hour later than they should, too. Dunno if this has been fixed yet.
    New Data (01/28/2010)
Not sure why, but the above success reverted back to being off by one day; temporary success only.

Hi, another quick question: you say you turned off network timezones.... did you make sure that the (now manually set) timezone is correct?
Sounds similar to other issues related to the timezone being off, but usually the appointments were off by hours... not day(s).  However if your timezone is set to something really odd and the event you're creating is around midnight (again depends on a few things here), then MAYBE this is it.
If it isn't, one of the support guys will have to chat with you privately about possibly collecting logs, getting more granular details, etc.

  • Calendar events show in iPhone but nowhere else

My iphone calendar shows a repeating event that does not appear on my other apple devices. How do I get rid of it, and in general, how do I edit calendar events from my iphone?

  • Calendar event showing on iPhone & in Outlook but not on iPad

I have a calendar event that is showing up on the iPhone and in Outlook, but not on the iPad (using Exchange). All other events are displaying on the iPad but this one event. The event is no different from any others, except it had a .pdf attached (it is not recurring). Any idea what could cause this and how to fix it? Thanks.

Created a new Exchange event with a pdf on my work computer, and it immediately showed up on my iPad. I just now noticed that on all of my events, I am unable to look at any attachments, interesting.
But anyway, it worked for me. Other Exchange events are currently showing up in your calendar? If yes, then I don't know.
If no, then in your Exchange account settings make sure you have Calendars set to ON. Also, in Calendar on tyour iPad, click the Calendars button on the top left corner. Little Show Calendars thing should pop up. Make sure they are all checked, or at least your Exchange account is checked.
All the ideas I have for now.

  • Why don't Outlook calendar events show up in Notification Center?

I have my iPhone (6) with iOS 8.1.2 set up to work with my corporate Outlook, and everything has typically worked fine.  At some point in the last few weeks, I've noticed that Outlook calendar events don't appear in the Notification Center - and I'm confident that they used to.  They show up in the Calendar app, reminders pop up for the events...but suddenly they don't appear when I pull down the Notification Center on my phone.  Only iCal and events that I created on my phone show up.  Any thoughts?
    Thanks.

ManSinha - thanks for your response - and yes, that's the first place I looked.  The Outlook events still don't show up in the iOS notification center.  They do show up in the upper "summary" section though - the where it has the date, weather, then "The first thing on your calendar today is (Outlook Event) at 12:15 PM."  But in the Calendar widget right below, it doesn't show up.
Again, it shows up in the Calendar app - so I'm not sure where the disconnect is.

  • Calendar events showing every day

    Hi all,
Recently it seems that when my Calendar app is displaying month view, every day has a little square in it - the one that indicates an event. However, about half of my days have no events at all.
I have repeating events set every eight days for four days (for my four-on four-off shift rotation) but that's about all. I'm sure I remember it used to show correctly, i.e. blocks of four with events and blocks of four without.
    Anyone any ideas what's happened?
    Thanks for reading

I have the same problem. With me it is only on the "Birthdays" calendar which was uploaded from iCal to my calendar server before I went with syncing with CalDAV. The daily and list formats do not show anything weird, only the monthly view. I assume it is a problem with a repeating event, but I can't find it.
I've even done a reset and reload from backup of my iPod and it did not help. Next step is probably to delete the Birthday's calendar completely on my server and see if that cures the problem. I am waiting until there is an easy way to restore it on the server.
Any other ideas would be appreciated.

  • Calendar events showing up twice?

My calendars, when I enter an event it shows up twice and I can editi and delete one entry and not the other entry. Any ideas how to correct this?

    Hi Linda,
I understand that you have all your calendars twice, both under iCloud and on my iMAc, and both are checked. Correct ?
I would suggest first of all to make a backup of all your calendars on your HD, becouse the way to eliminate the doubled could result in deleting both (all).  You can do a backup of each calendar from File.. Export... and save somewere the .ics file for each calendar.
You can try to deselect one of them from the cal on your Mac.  You should now see only one event.
If it works delete tha calendar on your iMac and check if the iCloud remains. Connect also your other devices and wait few minutes to be sure that iCloud sinc does not delete the entries on the other devices.
If everithing goes OK proceede with other calendars.
If you eventually delete both copyes of one calendar you will be able to recover from the backup.

  • Calendar events show up on icloud but not on phone

I can create events on my phone and they will show up on iCloud but they will not show up on the iphone itself. Additionally I cannot get any icloud events to show up on my calendar. I've tried changing sync to all events and 6 months neither helped. I feel like I've tried everything, help please?

You might try force closing the Calendars app (double-tap the home button, locate Calendar, swipe up on the thumbnail image above the app icon to close it), as well as resetting your phone (hold the power and home buttons at the same time until you see the Apple logo, then release).
If none of that works, you may need to try deleting your account, then signing back in.  To do this, go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, choose Delete from My iPhone (your data will still be in iCloud), then sign back in.  If you have any photo stream photos older than 30 days that aren't in your camera roll, save them to the camera roll before deleting the account (open the my photo stream album, tap Select, tap the photos, tap the share icon on the bottom left, tap Save to Camera Roll).

  • Is anybody else having issues with Google Calendar events showing up incorrectly on weekends only.

My Google Calendar syncs with my iPhone and it seems that since the last IOS upgrade, weekend events are showing up incorrectly.  For instance, an event that should be Sunday 7pm until Monday 7:30am shows up on the calendar view from Sunday 7:30am until 7:00pm.  When I click on the event to edit it, it says that it is Sunday 7p-Monday 7:30a (which is correct); it's just displaying in the wrong timeslots on the calendar view.  My Time Zone is set correctly, and this is only happening to events on the weekend.  Other events that are identical show up correctly on weekdays (Monday - Friday).

    So, don't use youtube.

  • My Calendar events show up an hour before they should.

The times are correct in the editor but they show up in the calendar one hour before. The time zones are both central, so i dont know what the problem is.

If you haven't done so, go to icloud.com, click on your name, click on Time Zone and make sure your time zone is set correctly and you have chosen a city near you.  If not, click the city name shown and select one near you.

  • Why are my calendar events showing up one day early on my ipad

Many of the all-day calendar entries in Outlook 2007 show up a day earlier on my iPad, but are fine on my iPhone. What gives? Any way to solve this?

You can use same ID on both devices.   It's common.
If you don't want to see contacts on both, just disable it under settings - mail, contacts, calendars - select your account, disable contacts

  • IPod Nano won't import Calendar events

I have had this problem a number of times and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. I went to the Genius Bar and they got it to import calender and contact info but each time in sync the ipod I get a different result. Right now I'm frustrated because I need my calendar info on my ipod as I use it in my job. This has been an ongoing problem and I don't feel like taking another trip to the Apple shop to end up with the same result.
Has anyone else experienced this problem or have any advice that might help?
    Thanks..
    Kevin

As you can see on my info at the bottom of the page I'm using a MacBook Pro and it automatically opens iTunes and does it all in iTunes.
I noticed you are using windows.

  • Calendar events show coming from someone else

Why do my calendar invites appear to be coming from my daughter who is no longer associated with my icloud account?  It even drops her off of the list of invitees.

I proof-read and still managed to see a mistake after hitting "send." Clarification: the out-of-office reply was to a message I did not send, or rather, I had no knowledge of having sent. And if I had not received the out-of-office reply, I would not have known that it was sent.
