Imported PNG pics from PS problem. .
Hi to all members here! I am new to this forum, and if I posted here wrongly I am sorry. You can delete or move this if this post already exists or in the wrong thread..
I am new to flash CS5 and I am having a problem creating a character with multiple parts. .
My problem is. I created the character parts in PS: CS5 and save it individually as PNG with transparent background, but when I Imported it to Flash CS5 and applied a bone on it and test the bone. The image is messed up and as I realize that the individual png transparent image has a background. . That's why the imae pic is distorted, messed up. .
I know it's hard to imagine so I post a pic. .
As what I have said. It is only an example screen cap of the problem. . When I apply a bone and test that is the result. .
Please.. Help me. . I am unable to draw in Flash cause it's different from PS which where I draw the chars, parts, and everything. . Please help me!
1. Hold control and R, this will bring up the import manager.
2. Locate your PSD FIle (The Photoshop file) will be a blue icon.
3. Select the file.
4. Flash will import it onto the stage, it will be displaying everything you would normally see in photoshop.
5. Look on the timeline, it will have folders ect, representing the layers in photoshop.
- If you drew your character in photoshop and used common sense; Each arm leg ect should be on seperate layers, this will benifit you once in flash.
6. Once all of your assets are in flash. Which they should be if you followed this. Select say the right arm, convert it to a symbol (Just to make things easier) Because if its a separate symbol you can ignore the folders on the timeline, and if you have common sense delete them whist still using thw symbol.
7. Then use your bone tool to animate according to your goals.
If you are still completely confused Email me the PSD, or upload it onto rapidshare or something and i'll show you what i mean.

IPhoto won't import my pics from my iPhone.
When I try to import my pics from my iPhone into iPhoto, iPhoto scrolls through a few of them and then reports that there was an error downloading an image and quits trying to import the pics all together. It also stops showing the the iPhone is plugged into the computer when this message comes up. Anyone have an idea of what's going on?
Welcome to Apple Discussions,
Remove the following to the trash and restart the computer and try again:
Home > Library > Caches (I remove the whole folder. It will be re-generated upon restart.)
Home > Library > Preferences > com.apple.iPhoto (There will may be more than one. Remove them all.)
If the issue persists try importing a different set of images to ensure iPhoto is functioning correctly.
Try going to File > Import to Library > Macintosh HD > Library > Desktop Pictures. If these images import then we know there is something wrong with the images on your iPhone or the iPhone itself.
Try importing the pictures using Image Capture found in Macintosh HD > Applications. If Image Capture can import the pictures you can then try importing them to iPhoto again.
Once you have the pictures off the Phone, try taking a few pictures and import again. If the issue persists with new pictures follow this article to restore the phone: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1414
Hope that helps. -
Why does iPhoto not recognize the .jpg pics from a Kodak C875 now? I can stick my memory card in the iMac and import them that way, but iPhoto will not import the pics from the camera.
There have been many issues reported with Kodak cameras - serach the forums for them
Actually the best practise is to use a card reader to import your photos, verify that they are imported ocrrectly and wait at least one backup cycle and then use the camera's format command to reformat the card and erase it - this assures no lost photos and always having the card properly formatted

Import still pics from video camera into iphoto with firewire?
I have a new panasonic pv-gs250. Although it is PC based, I was able to bypass their software and use imovie by attaching a 4 to 6 firewire to the dv port. It imported the movieclips with no problem. When I changed the mode on the camera from replay movie mode, to view pics mode (it can take stills on an sd card), it said that there was no cable connected. I tried using iphoto and importing from there, but it says there's not cable connected. There has to be a simple solution to this! Please help. thanks.
powerbook G4 Mac OS X (10.0.x)So, just to be sure, I used the USB cord and opened iphoto. Briefly, under sources, it said it was reading the Panasonic. I got up and when I came back, the Panasonic source was gone, and it said I couldn't close the window because it was importing files. Nothing new has shown up in the library yet. I also don't see anything counting down the loading, or importing. Do you think it's working, but just slow? Or is it having a hard time adjusting to the non-mac compatible thing, and it can't be done? thanks.

Importing PNG sequence from After Effects (or anywhere)
From some reason when I'm importing a PNG sequence onto stage, it's loading all of the PNGs into one frame instead of distributing them into their own keyframes like it's supposed to.
I've seen this problem posted before. Anybody have a solution for this?
I've also seen that people have posted that Flash CS3 HATES After Effects PNGs....how bizarre....I'm starting to figure that out.
Any solutions?Well now it's working. Hmmmm.Thanks Jim.
Well, there's something you can do that accidently stacks them into one frame.....I guess I get one brain-fart per month....and I just used my quota. -
I imported edited pics from my iPhone and iPhoto ignored all modifications.
Yesterday I took photographs of images that I found at home. I simply edited them on my iPhone to remove the borders and it looked brilliant! However, when I imported the edited pics into iPhoto, all the changes were ignored. iPhoto showed the raw originals, not the edited ones. There was no way to change that. Why?? That was 2 hrs of wasted time on my weekend. Not very Apple-like...
I am sure I have all the latest software updates installed... Probably really gonna have to wait for "Photos.app"
If you enable iCloud Photo Library (Beta) on your iPhone in the Photos&Camera Settings, you can download the edited photos using the Photos (Beta) app on the iCloud web interface, at https://www.icloud.com/
The mobile devices with iOS 8 already support iCloud Photo Library. The only drawback will be, that you can no longer sync photos from your Mac to the iPhone using iTunes. You will have to upload using the web interface as well. -
IPhoto won't import JPEG pics from iPhone4
I'm not able to import photos taken with my new iPhone 4 into iPhoto; I get the warning 'unrecognized file format' and a list of files, and they're all in JPG format. Any suggestions how to solve this problem?
Search the forum. There have been a number of reports of this issue over the last few weeks and some suggestions for how to resolve it.

Iphoto will not import any pics from iphone or camera anymore?
I am having trouble importing photos from my Iphone and camera to iphoto. Worked fine in the past and now it says it is file is unrecognizable format.
Also when viewing photos, I see the thumbnails, but when I want to see a large version, i just get a black screen. Any suggestions? What version of iPhoto? Assuming 09 or later...
Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In early versions of Library Manager it's the File -> Rebuild command. In later versions it's under the Library menu.)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

Hi,
Yesterday I upgraded my Imac to Lion, via the Apple store. No problems.
Now, when I connect my iPhone to my iMac, and open iPhoto and click Import, to import the pics from phone to mac, Iphoto crashes. I get next report. Who can help me to fix?
Thanks.

I actually found a much more direct way from another thread similar to this:
Use Finder to find "uninstall 3ivx" and when the uninstall 3ivx button appears, click it.
That's it. Slick as a whistle.
I really appreciate your interest and response to me.

How to import pics from my Android LG phone to MyPictures on computer
I have an Android LG phone, I normally connect the cord to my computer and a box pops up to name and import the pics from my phone to My Pictures on computer. Today the bottom right box is not coming up. How do I get it back? I have HP desktop Windows 7, HP2009m
Hello @sdvann,
I understand that your computer running Windows 7 is no longer recognising your Android phone when you plug it in. I am going to recommend that you follow the step set out in the HP Support document: Using Microsoft System Restore (Windows 7), which you can use to restore your computer back to a point in time when your Android phone was detected by your computer. This will reverse any settings or updates that may have caused this issue.
Please feel free to re-post if you require further assistance. Thank you for posting on the HP Forums. Have a great day!
Please click the "Thumbs Up" on the bottom right of this post to say thank you if you appreciate the support I provide!
Also be sure to mark my post as “Accept as Solution" if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others who face the same challenge find the same solution.

How do I import pics from LR 2 to LR 3.3
I recently installed LR 3.3 (full version). As a result, I have 2 LR copies (LR 2 & LR 3.3).
How do I import my pics from LR 2 to LR 3.3?
Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.Just upgrade the LR 2 catalog. Usually when installing LR 3 it will ask you if you want to do this, if for some reason this hasn't happened just open the old catalog using LR 3 and upgrade it. No need to remove LR 2, or its catalogs if you don't want to. Upgrading creates an entirely new catalog. No need to reimport files, always a bad idea as you will loose everything stored in your catalog if you do this.
By the way, you are posting in the wrong forum. This is the correct forum for LR questions and discussion. -
My RAW files suddenly says "Unsupported Image Format" and can't import new pics
Hi all,
A week ago I imported the latest bunch of RAW-images from my Canon EOS 30D (.CR2-files) and all was working great. I did take some of the pics and exported them to an e-mail and sent them off to a friend. Then after rearranging my home office I was trying to import some pics from my iPhone 4 - won't work!
And the RAW-images are not supported any longer!...??
Facts:
- iMac 2,66MHz Core 2 Duo/4GB/OS 10.8.1
- Aperture 3.3.2
- Aperture Library located on a Netgear ReadyNAS NV+
Have searched for a solution without finding anything that works...
Have tried to:
- repair permissions
- examine database
- tossed com.apple.Aperture.plist to the trash
- am right now trying to rebuilding database as a last resort
Anyone have a good idea as I'm very reluctant to belive that rebuildning will work?
BR,
PeteThanks for your reply!
I've looked into it a bit.
The ReadyNAS uses Linux Ext3/Ext4 file system.
Found that my rights to Aperture Library has been downgraded to "Read only" even though I'm the admin...
Won't take changes either... Get a message stating that I don't have the privilage to change file rights...!!
I've just started a copy session of the 125 GB large Library to the internal HDD... It seems like a good idea to have it there - even though it's eating massive amounts of disk surface! Almost 20%...
I'm calling Netgear tomorrow - how the heck can may rights be changed, just like that???
Funny thing it's been working fine for a pretty long time, it's after Mointain Lion it has started to acting up.
I did have similar problems the day after upgrading to ML but after a firmware upgrade of the ReadyNAS it worked like a charm again - until yesterday...
Hope that I'm allowed to change the rights when it's been copied to the internal disk... Been typing and researching file system type etc for at least 15 mins now and it's still "preparing to copy"
Here's what I found in Console, the line called "2012-09-13 01:13:16,238" gave it away for sure (while trying to import new pictures).

How to get pics from iphone to iphoto library on hard drive
Hi there. I saved my photo library to an EHD. I pointed iphoto to open the library from EHD. Normally when I connect my iphone to my macbook pro, iphoto just pops up asking to import the pics from my phone. But now it doesn't do that and it doesn't show my phone on the left pane of i photo. How do I get my pics and videos from my iphone into the iphoto library i saved on my ehd? Thanks!
Greetings,
Make sure your external hard drive is Mac formated and has a reasonable amount of space available.
--- Side note: If you haven't already, you should tell TimeMachine to backup that external hard drive as Time Machine only backs up your internal hard drive by default.
Try:
1. Install all software updates for both your computer and your iPhone and turn both on and off and re-plug the cable between them.
2. Try importing your pictures and movies using Image Capture found in Macintosh HD > Applications.
-- If Image Capture sees your iPhone when iPhoto does not, try creating a new iPhoto library on your internal drive to see if that library can see your iPhone. This is done by launching iPhoto while holding down the option key.
If those steps do not help, follow this article: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3195

I have a new mac. I installed my Bridge CS4 and Photoshop CS4 that I ran on my old mac. When I import RAW pics from my Nikon D90 they come in with the extension of .NEF. Apparently this is not a readable form for Bridge as the picture does not appear. I believe I need a converter to convert .NEF to .dng but I can't find one. Any ideas?
You do not need to convert to DNG.
The NEFs from your camera model have been supported since ACR 4.6 and 5.1.
What you need to do is update your ACR plug-in to version 5.7, the latest and last version for CS4. Right now, you are probably on ACR 5.0, the version supplied with the original release of Photoshop CS4.
Be aware that the Adobe updater is extremely unreliable when it comes to CS5, so that you must do the update manually. There are detailed instructions on the ACR 5.7 plug-in download page. You MUST follow those instructions to the letter.

Bringing in a pic from photoshop
I am trying to import a pic from photoshop with a transparent background. But when I bring it in to motion the background turns white and no longer transparent. Maybe I am not exporting it right, I don't know. What am I doing wrong?
Vince1) Make sure the PSD in in RGB, not CMYK
2) If it is, check its alpha interpretation - select it, press Shift-F, and check the Media tab of the Inspector, near the top.

Coherence and WebLogic Operations Control
Has anybody tried using WebLogic Operations Control to control a Coherence cluster? I have seen demo screen shots of it working but I am having trouble setting this up myself. All the documentation is more around controlling a set of WebLogic servers
