Imported Services

Hi Experts,
We have created an import service Purchase order. We have upgraded from 4.7 to ECC 6.0
It has two conditions
1. R&D Cess
2. Tax on foreign services.
Before the upgrade these two conditions used to get inventorised and it could be seen GR created at background after the service entery sheet. and entries are as below

Kindly help to resolve this issue. Client wants the have postings in ECC 6.0 like before the upgrade in 4.7

What condition type settings need to be checked kindly suggest?

I am importing service invoice but also want the put in the description.
I don't know which field i need to use for the description. Below you see 1 line, it import oke but without the description field.

The column is named ItemDescription. You have to include DocType field on the title file too.

Import service Purchase order

Hi Experts,
I am facing this problem when i am creating import service Purchase order with Purchase requisition. my import pricing procedure have Assessible value percentage condition type,which is coming in import service PO with certain percentage and condition type is coming in display mode. i am unable to change this condition type value in PO.
          Access sequence not maintained for this condition type although it is picking some percentage.How can i find where it is picking and i want to make as editable this condition type in PO.
         If i create import PO with material code, the condition type not picking any percentage and it is coming as editable mode.
            if i create import service po without purchase requisition, this condition type not picking any percentage.
          the problem is create import po with Purchase requisition only.
Control data of condition type is: Cond. class     A       Discount or surcharge
                                                       Calculat.type    A        Percentage
Cond.category H       Basic price
Condition type is item condition.

by going thru your problem, we understand that there are 2 different pricing procedures maintained.
Pls check in transaction MEK3 give your assess value condition type and you will know where from the record is being read.
To make condition editable and not editable. go to t.code M/06 and chnage "Manual entries" to "C Manual entry has priority:.

Error: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError when Automatic Import Service loads

Hi
The netware server running NW 6.5sp4a has been reloaded due to hardware
failure.
All the data was restored to all volumes.
When I run zfdstart I get the following error:
error: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError when Automatic Import Service loads.

OWB error message - Import service related

Hi,
I get this message when I try to use the Import Metadata wizard in OWB - 11.
Import service failed when try to make connection to the metadata location and got the following error:java.lang.NullPointerException .
I have also registered the user and tested the corresponding user connection.
Any suggestions will be much appreciated.

Hi,
I have got this issue resolved by installing the Oracle 11 E-Edition . Guess that's the only way this can be resolved. As though the Personal edition offers most of the Enterprise Edition options , including OLAP , there is an issue when owb queries the v$version view of the personal edition (searches for 'Oracle%' and does not get a result) due to which this error arises.
If there are any other alternate approaches , do suggest for the common good.

Beware that for Windows 2008 R2 you need at least 10.2.0.4. Install 10.2.0.3 found on technet and upgrade from Metalink Patch.

My Client have requirement of Import Service PO? Anybody can explain me about Procedure of Import Service PO ?
How to configure it? Condition is Vendor should go the Basic price of PO and service tax should go in accrued account.

Follow normal service cycle.
Create Service Master - AC03.
Create Vendor Master - XK01 - Take schema group 02 - Import vendor.
Create Service order - ME21N - Take Service Order document type.
Create Service entry sheet against your service order - ML81N.
Create Service invoice - MIRO.
As per my view in case of import service order tax is not applicable and due to 02 - import vendor schema group all condition of import is come at the time of service order creation.

Note the image below taken from the LCC guide to capture the correct data type that must be used in defining each SI attribute in the XML.

maybe I'm being a bit slow on the uptake, but I've tried and tried and none of my XML files will import, they always stop at 'Class Not Recognised'.
I had originally assumed the class was the SI type - does anyone have any information about this?

CAF import / service group issue?

Hi,
I have developed a caf with a number of webservices exposed (CAF A), this has been deployed to a ce server, within a serperate CAF project (CAF B) I have imported a service from CAF A as an external service and used it within this caf. The two cafs have been deployed to a CE Server and works as expected.
The problem occurs when I have deployed the two caf projects to another CE server different from the one I developed against, CAF B returns data from the orginal environment when calling CAF A's services and not from the environment it should use. If go directly to CAF A say by using ws navigator I get the right data, it is only when I go through caf B I get issue.
Is there away to configure the service groups on NWAdmin and explicitly set which CAF in which environment to use?
Any help will be greatly recieved!

Hi Jon,
you can specify the provider system for the respective service group via
NWA -> SOA Management -> Application and Scenario Communication -> Application Communication.
Make sure the provider system you assign refers to the correct physical system. You can check this under Technical Configuration - System Connections.

You can use the serveradmin command line tool. For example, if on 10.7 you are looking to export your DNS settings, you would use:
sudo serveradmin settings dns > ~/dns.settings
Then move the file to the new server and reverse the process using:
sudo serveradmin settings dns < ~/dns.settings
( The ~/ will create a file at the root your home folder) This process will work for most of the services (use sudo serveradmin list to see all services). Please note that this process does not move data. It only will move configuration information.
If moving Open Directory, you will likely want to create an OD archive or export the users and groups as flat files. Please note that flat files will not include passwords.

Importing service interface in duet SAP system

How is the service interface which is designed and created in the ESR imported into the duet SAP system? I created a service interface in the ESR, but when I go to SPROXY in the duet SAP system the interface doesn't show up.

Hi Kuttappa,
do you have a [working] connection configured in your landscape between the ESR and the SCL server?
You do this on the Duet Enterprise SCL server and Create a Type G RFC destination to connect to the ESR system from the SCL server; and next go to ESR / transaction SM59 to create the RFC connection from ESR to SCL.

Import Service Line Details from MS Excel file

Dear All,
In ME22N when creating "Service related PO", I want to upload a list of service line details from an Excel File.
I have found some user exits as below. However they are not allow me to upload any data into the service line entry / table...

Export the data from Excel using csv type (comma separated variables). Then use sql-loader to load the data into Oracle.

Enable test mode in imported service model

Can anyboby explain me the purpose of "Enable test mode" menu item in service model?

The test mode basically provides dummy data, so during your development you don't (yet) need a service definition and implementation.
Personally, I haven't find much use for this functionality though

Why has comcast discontinued an important service we depend upon?

I can't image how any internet service without an included FTP/web site is useful. If comcast is removing the ftp/personal website service, how many users are going to have to switch to a different internet service provider to get one back? Why would comcast be doing this? Is there a planned new service (that still includes FTP access) that will replace the old one? Are they going to remove our free e-mail accounts next?

Unfortunately, you are mistaken. Read the Comcast Terms of Service for High Speed Internet. It says nothing about providing you with Web Hosting services. An Internet Service Provider provides exactly that, Internet Service, meaning a method for you to connect your computer at home to the Internet. Comcast are not a Web Hosting sevice, they are an ISP. Most ISPs provide their subscribers some type of web hosting or staorage space as an additional convenience feature, and while I am sure they use some of the fees they charge you for maintenanace of thatm system, it is not a portion of the service that you directly pay for as an itemized line item on your bill. If they decide to shut it down, I do not believe they would be in violation of their ToS with their subscribers.
To be honest, there are much better web hosting services out there that are free.. (ad supported probably, but free) Look at Google Sites for instance. If you have anything of value that you cannot afford to lose on your Comcast PWP, prudence dictates making a regular backup, and thinking about moving it to a more permanent hosting provider.
By extension, and also something that is often misunderstood, is that the email accounts provided by Comcast are also not something that is written into their ToS. Comcast say they will provide you with several free email accounts, but other that a few references on web pages, it is not written into the ToS for HSI subscribers. Again, if they chose, Comcast could shutdown their email service at any time. It would probably be a much more impactful business decision than dropping support for PWP, and it is not likely that they would ever do it, but it IS their option.
