Hi Kishore,
Identification tab is used primarily to record Personal Data of a BP like ***, Marital Status, Nationality, Occcupation, Birth Date etc., once we input these details here, it is very useful in Marketing, particularly for segmentation of the Customers and creation of the target groups based on these criteria.
For ex: Creation of Target Group of all BP's belonging to Nationality India.
One more importance is to record is in identification tab you can assign an industry sector to business partners in the category 'Organization'
As well as to record Business partner number in external system or a legcay system, If the current business partner is known under a different number in an external system, you can store this number here for information purposes.
Direct input gives you the option of maintaining a business partner by specifying the external business partner number. If you maintain business partner data in your legacy system, you can transmit changes made to business partners to the SAP system without having to know the SAP business partner number in the legacy system.
Also this tab is used to record the Tax Numbers and Tax Classification, which is used for Pricing to calculate the taxes, by configuring the Transaction Tax Engine (TE) in IPC.
Lastly, in BP Role Employee, this tab is used to record Employee Data like +Personnel Number, User Name,+ i.e.Logon name of the user, for example 'KELLERH', this is primarily used in Partner Determinatin Procedure, wherein you define a procedure that the Employee Responsbile is by default the user who is logged in, than the user who is logged in and creating a Business Transaction (for ex. Sales Order, Marketing Campaign, Trade Promotion, Telesales etc.), his user name will be taken by default in the Employee Responsible field.

Were you able to resolve this as I am looking to do the same thing? From my investigation, I can't see anything standard that would transfer this data, although it does look like the Identification number is held within the BDoc.
I assume the solution would be to map the field into an XD01 field (either a bespoke field or standard - we are planning to use Corporate Group) but i'm not sure how to progress this... I have found some FM's in table CRMSUBTAB which look like the right sort of thing so that is my next area to investigate.
Please let me know if you have managed to solve this some other way!

Error while creating activities from Account application (Activity tab page

Hi Experts,
We are using CRM 5.0 with PCUI ( EP 7.0 version). We are getting below error when try to create activities from Account application in PCUI ( from activity tab page):
Error : Activity contains error.
Diagnosis
This transaction has errors.
Procedure
To correct the errors, go to the maintenance interface of the transaction.
To navigate to there, use the link to the account application
Pls suggest how to proceed with this error & helpful solutions would be rewrded generously.

We are getting this error when try to create Activity from Account application in PCUI. But the same thing is working fine in at GUI level & actions profile assigned to Activity transaction is also working fine at GUI level. But in PCUIit is throwing this below error.
Diagnosis
You have attempted to create a follow-up transaction for an incorrect transction 2000764. This is not possible. You can only create follow-up transactions for error-free transactions.
System Response
The follow-up transaction is not created.
Procedure
Correct the errors in the source transaction 2000764. The error messages resulting from processing the error can be read in the application log in the source transaction.
Pls suggest solution for this.

Document Tab page in Product Master(commpr01)?

Hello CRM Gurus,
I wolud like to know in which business context the Document Tab Page used in creation of Product Master.
I see that i can attach any Document at my wish.of formats .doc,.xls,.pdf etc.
But why is it given.?
If i am creating an IP(Intellectual Property say a Movie Title)
what can i attach or upload ?what is the business requirement?

Hi Arshad,
Document Tab is nothing more then a Informaton storage Point of location.
For Ex; Say a company for which you are Implementing Deals with Product like Boilers, Lights etc.
IF there are mtuliple of choices and infomation related to eachd evice they can store those information in document tab.
Information like Pictures, Some Text Description message.
Document tab over here is also the same as you have in Activity, Opportunity Transaction.
And in that we call them as Long Text storage Areas, so same rule Implies for products Document Tab as well.

Move Setting link to tab page group

is it possible with the floor plan of CRM 5.0 to move the "Settings" Link of the search result list to the toolbar group of an an tab page-group. As i want to limit the search result of activities via the "Settings" Link, which is display in the tab-page group of accounts.

Create a "Page Link" item, one of the built-in item types. When specifying the attributes for this item, you should be able to choose pages in other page groups.

Marketing Planner Tab Pages

Hi,
In our development system, all the tab pages are not available for Marketing Plan and Campaign, but for Trade Promotion and Deals, more tab pages are available.
For example, Channels, Segments, Product Catalogs, Products, Allocation Planning and Discounts are available for Trade Promo but not available fo rMkt Plan and Campaign.
What should I do make these Table available for Mkt Plan and Campaign.
I was browsing IDES system, and these Tabs are available for Mkt Plan and Campaign in that system.
Please help.

Go to SPRO -> CRM -> Marketing -> Marketing Planning (....) -> User Interface Options.
There you can define which fields are visible for each marketing object.

For Buying center to be visible in an Opportunity, maintain the Buying Center as a Partner Function (00000050) in your Partner Procedure.
Then this Buying center tab will appear for You.

You can drag an history item as well (e.g. from the history sidebar), so yuo do not need to bookmark a website.

How Do I Pin A Tile To My New Tab Page, Instructions On Here Do Not Work.

These new FF updates are going to drive me to drink. It's a simple question, one would think, yet I cannot find the answer. FF29 has "tiles", I suppose they are called, when you click on "new tab page". At one point, I had them all on there...how, I don't remember.
Now, my "tiles" are disappearing. I have changed NOTHING. How do I re-add the websites I want to those tiles?

Those instructions do not work. I do not have any little pin in those squares. When I go to a website that I usually go to, the only option I get is "Pin Tab" but that only adds a tab at the top of the browser window, it does NOT add it to the tiles, like I want.
I've tried the "Show All Bookmarks" route, and tried to drag the bookmark to a tile, it does NOT work.
There are 9 tiles. If I want to change them around, or re-add the 4 that have mysteriously disappeared today, HOW do I do that? Again, those blank tiles do NOT show a "pin" anywhere. They were set up, then they started to disappear. Again, I've changed NOTHING. It should not be this difficult to add a website to my tiles on my new tab page.

I know how to use about:config & have had the usual problems with newtab page tiles but this is more like a bug- using 33.0.1. Doesn't show tiles icon in top right corner just shows a gear that is used to hide the empty tiles that I can't fill with sites. First it would only show 2 rows of 4 columns even though I had it set to 5 & 6 then few days later for no reason they went empty with a serrated line around the tiles & can't drag from the bookmarks---- really bloody annoying!!!!!!! Possibly a setting in the about:config but i can't fig it out?

Addition of a field in tab page t-codes FPP1-FPP3

Hello Gurus.
During creation of a street (t-code SR20) there is opportunity, together with street name, maintenance of street type (field "Street type").
But during creation of the Business partner in role "Contract Partner" (t-code FPP1) field "Street type" on tab page "Address" not exist.
Inform, please, how to add this field by standard means (without collaboration with developers)?

this is a quite hard task! Only experienced developers should give that a try as it contains several steps. In order to include own fields at BP level (or contract account level) the BDT techniques should be used. BDT stands for Business Data Toolset - for details please see http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_03/helpdata/EN/35/696d360856e808e10000009b38f839/frameset.htm
(in case nothing shows up, go to help.sap.com and search for BDT and use the entry with the developers guide.) In case you want to have additional fields only for the role MKK - this is also described there.

Excise Invoice Tab Page/ Document Info Tab Page is not appearing in MIGO

For a particular job work PO , with account assignment category F & item category L, non valuaated material, when we are doing migo, excise invoice tab page/ Document Info tab page is not appearing in document header. From The said tab page we can select the challan.
In J1ID, I have maintained Vendor PAN number and also material chpter id combination.

With the latest Firefox update, the number of tiles is now determined on screen size - if you zoom out or expand the window you can have more tiles appear.
If you want to set a fixed number of tiles, you can do so with the following extension:
