ImportEnt field in XL Reporter
On a Sales Invoice Accounting Screen there in a field called Sales Order. The database name for this is 'ImportEnt'. Is there anyway to pull this field in to XL reporter?
It does not appear to be available in the field selection within XL Reporter?

Apologies, the field is called Order Number and appears on right hand side of the accounting screen on the invoice screen.

How does one pass import parameters to a report within a method?
Hello all,
Well how does one pass import parameters to a report which is within a method ...end method.
for example :
method 123
SUBMIT reportname using selection '1000'
endmethod .
Here we need to pass values into the selection screen and run the report for those values.
The values are say 'ABC' ( tablename "DEF" and field name "HIJ" ).

Parameters: Give the Parameter name, Typing method is "Type" is the domain type that u are selecting, say for e.g : Parameter is "P_CONT" , its associated type "CHAR32" etc
For Select Options: Parameter name say "S_CUST", Type"importing". For this you need to give an associated type which must be created as "TABLE TYPE " in SE11. That table type needs to have a "LINE TYPE" .
LINE TYPE is a Structure created with components "SIGN, OPTION, LOW & HIGH" for select-Options.
NOTE: for a Table type related to Customer data fields "say KUNNR", the line type created must have the Component Type and data Type corresponding to the Data Element associated with "KUNNR" ;i.e: "CHAR" etc.

Vendor name field in FBL3N report
Hi Experts,
Requirement : In Fbl3n report Vendor name required for vendor code in vendor field and not in offseting account field.
Action taken : Through spro vendor field has been added to fbl3n report.Now BTE 1650 has been activated.In function module ZF_INTERFACE_00001650 in importing parameter i_postab there is no field for getting vendor codes that are displayed in vendor field in FBL3N report.So i cannot get not get name of vendor codes.
One option i know is i am getting PO no from i_postab,so from PO NO i can get vendor code and hence vendor name.
Is there any other way of getting vendor codes in function module mentioned above.

I have to change the entries made in BUPA table for a custom field ZZPAYMENT through report programming.
I tried using the function modules in following sequence :-
1)BUP_MEMORY_BUT000_GET
2)'BUPA_CENTRAL_CI_CHANGE
3)BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT
But the first FM "BUP_MEMORY_BUT000_GET" is throwing an error of not found .Here in this fm ,i m passing buisness partner i as an import parameter. You all are welcome to suggest me some other way for updating these custom fieldsWhen I have made changes to BUPA data, I have used

Read the buffer in screen fields of the report program.
Hi all,
I have 2 screen fields in a report program. I need to do some process based on the entry in the 1 st field.
But i need press 'enter' after making an entry in the 1st field. I want to read the field dynamically. I was able to find a function module to do it 'DYNP_VALUES_READ'. In this one of the import attribute is the dyname. I give the field name of the 1st field as per its defined in the selection parameter of th report program. And when exectued the function module returns invalid dyprofield.
kindly advise on what should be the dyproname for selection parameter.

just execute the code and try to know where u r getting error in ur code .
in this just give the input as USD(us dollar)
substitute for dynname = sy-cprog in ur code and check that .

How to add new fields to standard reports

im into ABAP and working across all modules..the basic thing is users and functional people are not satisfied with the standard reports..they need some logic change or to add some more fieldsinb the standard reports.For logic change we have to copy the standard to zprogram and can do or create a new program itself..but in many cases they ask for extra fields.how to achive it ..
for example my requirement now is adding vendor name field to the report FAGGL03 ....i found a badi and have make changes to it ...now the vendor name will be coming in sgtxt over writing the text ...but they need text also...now what shall i do???

if ur displaying the data in alv then search for the
word REUSE_ALV_LIST_DISPLAY REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY from which u can get the final table name
then check the data that is comming into
try using implicit enhancement or any other exit in the declaration and declare a new structure with the field and append it to the field catalog
if ur displaying the data using write statement
then create a zprogram and add a write statement
fi ur unable to find here the final table then after displayign the report start the debugging and double click on any row to find out more easily

In the querygroup (datamodel) of your first query you create a formula column : CF_payment_or_overriding_date
In the PL/SQL Formula of your formula column you add code like this:

When doing custom reporting against requests with reportable dictionaries we have a user request to also include the user comments. How do I reference / point to the comments field for a request?If you are referring to the comments which are added in the Comments and History section of a requisition, this information is not migrated to the datamart and is not reportable.
If, on the other hand, you are referring to a comments field that you have included in a dictionary on the service form, that information will be available in the datamart so long as that dictionary has been made reportable. -

I've searched around a bit about this. I can't find anything about anyone who had the same problem.
I was reporting along and suddenly CR v8.5 wouldn't let me insert a field anymore. I can't insert a field on a new or old report from the field exporer. I drag the field to the area of the report that I want to drop it and it stays a black circle with a line through it. It won't allow me to insert any field in any report.
I tested this on my coworkers computer and his is working fine. Same version, same report, same field.
What would cause my install of CR to stop allowing insertion of fields?

I have a problem in bex report.
scenario is like this--
APD will generate the BPS Daily report on Branch, Group, Area, Region and total company levels and then exports into a flat files stored in appserver
and i got the requirement to change the layout of the report. The client wants to need the one field extra ie. 'REPORTS RUN DATE '
and i am stuck here how to add this field in my report ..

Hiding selective fields in a report based on other field in the same report
Hello!
I am trying to create a report of the inventory items. 2 of the fields in the report would be the sale price of the item, and one of the properties (prop1) from the Item Master Property tab.
Depending on whether Prop1 is Y/N, the price of the item should be displayed.
If Prop1 = N, Price is displayed
If Prop1 = Y, Price gets hidden
Using queries, is it possible to create this kind of reports?
I am using SAP 2005b PL 42.

I have a requirement to hide/disable screen fields in a report selection screen when the user clicks on some radio buttons .
Here is the scenario,

Upgrade and Install fails after first boot. Then I am unable to repair
